        <P>An all‐solution‐processed flexible piezoelectric nanogenerator, composed of polycrystalline ZnO thin film and functional polymer layers such as P3HT/PCBM and PEDOT:PSS, generates energy through a mechanical rolling and muscle stretching system. On page 6022, Youn Sang Kim, Sang‐Woo Kim, and co‐workers show that this all‐solution‐processed nanogenerator is feasible as a piezoelectric patchable device and is promising for use in future energy harvesters such as wearable human patches and mobile electronics. </P>

      • 9,10-Dimethyl-1,2-Benzanthrance 투여 후 백서 뇌하수체 Prolactin 분비세포의 변화

        An immunohistochemical study on the prolactin cells was carried out to investigate the change of number of prolactin-secreting cells in 9,10-dimethy1-1,2-benzanthracene (DMBA)-treated rats. Female Sprague-Dawley rats were givenDMBA suspended in sesame oil by gastric intubation using oral zonde needle. At 70 days of age, each animal received a single feeding of DMBA(12mg/100 gm body weight). Five rats bearing DABA-induced mammary carcinoma and ten rats not bearing mammary carcinoma after DMBA adminstration were used as experimental group. Nine rats were given sesame oil at 70 days of age, and were used as control group. Representative transverse sections of the pituitary gland from each rat were immunostained with rabbit anti-rat prolactin by Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex(ABC) method. Following results were obtained : 1. Prolactin-secreting cells were more frequently observed in the peripheral region than in the central region of adenohypophysis, in both DMBA-treated and untreated rats. 2. The number of prolactin-secreting cells of DMBA-treated rat bearing mammary carcinomas was significantly greater than that of DMBA-treated rats not bearing mammary carcinoma. 3. The number of prolactin-secreting cells of DMBA-treated rats was significantly greater than that of untreated rats. Based on the findings above, it is assumed that mammary carcinoma of DMBA-treated rats is induced by increase of prolactin-secreting cells in pituitary gland.

      • Humic acid가 카드뮴 어독성에 미치는 영향

        Cadmium, a major aquatic pollutant in many parts of the world, is toxic and readily accumulated in aquatic organisms. It mainly exists in water as complexes with organic ligands such as dissolved organic carbon and this complexation is known to have effects on the aquatic toxicities. In this study, acute toxicity, histology, and bioaccumulation were studied to evaluate effects of humic acid on cadmium toxicity and bioavailability to fish using Oryzias latipcs and Cypriruts carpio. 96h~LC50 of cadmium was 6.38 mg/L using Oryzias latipes. However, the mortality showed the dose-dependent decrease when humic acid was added to the test solution. When fish were exposed to 5 mg/L of cadmium, histological changes in the exposed organs (caudal fins, gills, kidney, liver, and gut) of Cyprinifs carpio were decreased by humic acid, especially in kidney and liver. Bioaccumulation of cadmium also decreased by treatment of humic acid. It seems that the formation of complexes between cadmium and humic acid may decrease bioavailability of cadmium to fish, and thus reduce the toxic effects of cadmium.

      • 한약수치에 관한 연구(제 8보) : 오수유 탕포법 The Changes of Physico-chemical Parameter and Biological Activities by Processing of Evodia Fruit

        We have studied the physico-chemical change and pharmacological transformation of traditional herbal medicines with processing. Evodia fruit (EF) has processed for the purpose of detoxification and reduction of its bitter taste. There are various methods of processing EF in Oriental medicinal references. Among them, we processed EF according to the method of Sang-han theory, the most famous medicinal reference. We processed EF with washing in hot water, and then dried. Processed EFs(PEFs) were prepared according to the above procedure through repetition of 1,3,5 and 7 times respectively. The contents of weight loss, water extract, diluted ethanol extract, ether extract, total ash, acid insoluble ash, alkaloids and limonin in non-processed EF (NPEF) and PEFs were examined. The weight loss, and contents of water extract and dilute ethanol extract in PEF showed decrease in proportion to increase of washing time, while the contents of ether extract, total ash and acid insoluble ash showed little change as compared with those of NPEF. And the content of evodiamine and rutaecarpine was not changed distinctly. However, the content of limonin decreased in the final processed material in proportion to increase of washing times with hot water. And the intense of bitter taste in PEF was also reduced. These results were ascribed to the flowing-out of the water-soluble portion. The biological activities of NPEF and PEF were also investigated. In the test of DPPH scavenging effect, xanthine oxidase inhibition effect and TBA-Rs effect, PEF was more effective than NPEF in vitro. Also, both NPEF and PEF showed potent analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects against in mice. Especially, PEF by 3 times washing with hot water was more effective than other PEFs. From these results, it is considered that PEF should be prepared by 3 times washing with hot water.

        The objective of this study is to estimate the feasibility of acoustic emission method for the internal leak from the valves. In this study, valve leak tests using various types of specimen simulated seat damage were performed in order to analyzer acoustic emission properties when leaks arise in valve seat. As a result of leak test for specimens simulated valve seat, we conformed that leak sound level increased in proportion to the increase of hole diameter and leak velocity, and decreased in proportion to the increase of leak depth. And also, leak sound level has hysteresis for leak velocity. From the experimental results, it was suggested that the acoustic emission method for monitoring of leak was feasible.

      • 韓國産 玄蔘中 P-Methoxycinnamic Acid 의 定量

        A rapid method for determing p-methoxycinnamic acid(p-MCA) in Scrophulariae Radix(Scrophularia Oldhami Oliver) produced in Korea was established by high speed liquid chromatography. p-MCA was separated in a 8mm i.d×115mm column of μ-Bondapak C??, using a waters associate Model 244, with CH₃CN:H₂O:CH₃COOH(40:60:1) as the desorption solution, Separation was completed within 6min. p-MCA in Scrophulariae Radix was extracted with water and the extract solution was injected directly into the column. p-MCA content was estimated from previously prepared calibration curves based on standard p-MCA. At 310nm, the precision of the determination was about ±1.5%. It was concluded that this method is useful for the evaluation of Scrophulariae Radix produced in Korea. keywords-high speed liquid chromatography: p-methoxycinnamic acid: Scrophulariae Radix:μ-Bondapak C??: pharmaceutical analysis.

        To analyze the influence of woodball on the degree of the satisfaction for the spone time with participation in the game. we came to conclusions which is following the below through the statistical method such as analysis regression analysis. frequency analysis. ANOVA. basic factors affecting the degree of satisfaction required gender, age, occupation and period of participation. For the promotion of leisure satisfaction through the participation in and the spread of woodball, it is required to offer a variety of programs to the participants rather than offering the uniform programs. To increase time and frequency of participation, the expansion of woodball fields is an urgent case for the development of woodball.
