      • 덕성여대생들의 적응상태와 적응상태에 영향을 미치는 변인들에 관한 연구

        본 연구에서는 덕성여대생들의 적응에 관해서 종합적, 과학적으로 살펴보았다. 보다 구체적으로, 본 연구의 목적은 다음과 같다 : (1) 덕성여대생들의 구체적인 적응상태는 어떠한가? 학생들의 적응상태는 학년에 따라 달라지는가? 다른 대학교의 여학생들과는 어떠한 차이를 보이는가? (2) 덕성여대생들의 적응상태에 영향을 미치는 변인에는 어떤 것들이 있는가? 덕성여대생들의 적응상태는 대학생활만족도, 학점, 불안, 우울의 측면에서 종합적으로 검토하였으며 적응상태에 영향을 미치는 변인으로는 학생들이 가지고 있는 심리적 자원(자기지각), 환경적 자원(사회적 지지), 스트레스 대처방식을 조사하였다. 연구대상자들은 덕성여대를 포함한 3개대학의 1학년에서 4학년까지 여학생 총 452명이었으며 연구방법은 질문지�돛潔駭� 자료분석결과를 요약해보면, 덕성여대생의 약 30%가 우울집단 (BDI 17점 이상) 으로 분류되었다. 그러나 우울점수가 학년이나 학교에 따라 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나지 않으므로 이러한 높은 우울경향을 모든 여대생들에게 공통되는 것이라고 볼 수 있다. 대학생활만족도와 불안의 경우에도 모든 학년에서 덕성여대생들은 다른 대하의 여학생들과 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 학점을 제외한 덕성여대생들의 적응은 개인의 심리적 자원, 환경적 자원, 스트레스 대처방식과 유의한 상관이 있었다. 즉, 긍정적으로 자기를 지각하고, 사회적 지지가 많고, 적극적 대처방식을 사용할 수록 더 적응을 잘 하는 것으로 나타났다. 적응에 영향을 미치는 변인들의 상대적 효과에 대해서 분석해 본 결과 대학생활만족에는 적극적 대처, 소극적 대처, 친구지지, 자기지각의 순으로 영향을 미치고 있었으며 학점에는 친구지지만이 유의한 영향을 미치고 있었다. 불안과 우울의 경우는 자기지각과 가족지지의 설명력이 통계�Ю막�유의하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 덕성여대생들의 적응지도에 몇가지 중요한 시사점을 제시해 준다. This study tries to examine adjustment of students of Duksung Women's University. More specifically, the purposes are as follows: (1) How are adjustment states of Duksung students? Do they differ according to grade level? Are they different from those of other female college students? (2) Waht are the variables which influence the adjustment states of Duksung students? Adfustment states were measured in four ways: satisfaction with campus life, grade point average(GPA), anxiety, and depression. The predictor variables were one's psychological resource(self-perception), social presources(various social supports), and coping styles. Subjects were 452 females from three universities including Duksung and from all grade levels. Data was collected through questionnaires. REsults showed that 30% of Duksung students were classified as depressed scoring more than 17 in Beck Depression Inventory. Depression scores did not show any significant difference according to schools and/or grade levels. Thus, the high depression rate seems to common to all female college students. In terms of satisfaction with campus life and anxiety, Duksung students did not significantly differ from other female college students in all grade levels. Duksung student's adjustment scores except GPA were significantly and positively related to their positive self-perception, social support, and active coping style. Stepwise regression analyses showed relative effects of those predictor variables on each adjustment score. Some implications for adjustment guidance were drawn from these results.

      • 한국과 미국 여자대학의 교육과정 비교 연구 : 교양교육과정을 중심으로 With Focus on General Education

        The purpose of this study is to compare the curriculum - especially general education - of women's colleges between Korea and U.S.A., to analyze the merits and the demerits, and to make suggestions for desired curricular changes in Korean colleges. This study is bared on 7women's colleges in Seoul and 7 highly reputable women's liberal arts colleges in the United States. The curriculum of each college was examined in general and then the types, components and the amount of credit hours required in general education were specifically compared. According to the findings based on these comparisons, this study offers recommendations to improve the education system in Korean colleges. First, we need to recognize that $quot;the first degree is not intended to provide vocational training$quot; and to recognize that $quot;the purpose of college is an education in the liberal arts$quot; (Rosovsky, 1990, p. 99), - to study $quot;a curriculum aimed at imparting general knowledge and developing general intellectual capacities in contrast to a professional, vocational or technical curriculum$quot; (Encyclepaedia Britannica, 15th edn., vol. VI, p. 195, cited in Resovsky, 1990, p. 99-100). Second, each college needs to develop a creative curriculum reflecting its distinctive educational goal. Third, the faculty of each department needs to devote collaborative efforts to device interdisciplinary courses, instead of overspecializing in their own academic fields. Fourth, students should be able to cheese general education courses freely from all the departments offering majors. Fifth, total graduation credit points need to be reduced down to 120 or 128 as is the cafe in the U.S.A. colleges. Sixth, colleges need to provide students with general education courses well balanced in humanities, social sciences and natural sciences, instead of emphasizing that students take courses related to their own major fields as general education courses. Seventh, when providing a core general education program, colleges need to define first, according to their distinctive educational goal, what the purpose of the core is, and then design each course to reflect the porpose of that. Eighth, colleges need to increase individual student's opportunities to choose courses, in order for them to broaden their interests and to discover and develop their natural abilities.

      • LAN의 이론적 고찰 및 덕성여자대학교 종합 전산망 확장에 관한 연구

        This paper describes an application theory of local area network(LAN) and introduces Internet resources with Internet organization in Korea. For practical evaluation, Duksung Women's University network system is selected. After brief description of the selected network system, some critical features of the current network system are mentioned. To resolve the critical features and generate an efficient network system, four basic methods have been discussed. The discussed methods are 1) server systems must be powerful enough to fulfill network users' needs, 2) a network system should be able to extend; and the extended system must be adoptable by the current trends of network systems, 3) network media must be able to transfer any kinds of data types; such as text data, voice, image, and so on, 4) a network system must have capability of monitoring for network resources. Applying theses four methods to the existing network system will lead to an efficient enhanced network system.

      • 2009학년도 덕성여자대학교 신입생의 특성

        2009년도 덕성여자대학교 신입생 및 그 가정의 제반특성을 파악하기 위하여 인적 사항, 가정환경, 입학 만족도, 대학생활, 가치관, 자신에 대한 지각, 강의주제 등에 관한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 총 신입생 1445 명 중 응답자 1363명의 자료를 분석하여 각 문항 별로 신입생 전체는 물론 각 학부의 응답 빈도 및 비율을 제시하였다. 되풀이 확인된 결과로는 우선, 대다수의 학생들이 수도권지역의 고등학교를 졸업하였으며 중산층 이상의 가정 출신이라는 점이다. 대부분 부모 가 모두 생존해 계시고 고졸이상의 학력을 가지고 있다. 두 번째, 학생들은 취업에 큰 관심을 가지고 있으며 장래 취업을 준비하기 위해 대학에 진학했다고 답한 경우가 많았다. 이외에도 대학별 특징 등 중요한 결과들을 논의에서 요약하였고, 그 결과들이 시사하는 바를 제언하였다. Examined the characteristics of the students who entered Duksung Women's University in 2009. The total number of 1363(out of 1445) undergraduates completed an autobiographical questionnaire which inquires about demographic variables, family environment, satisfaction with the university, expectancies of a campus life, value system, self-concept, and lecture subject. Results show that a majority of the students were graduated from high schools located in Seoul. Both of their parents are alive, in the middle or higher socioeconomic groups and of high educational accomplishment(at the lowest, high school graduates). One of the replicated findings is that students are highly interested in career development. A great proportion of career preparation. The result also indicate that many students have chosen our university solely based on their grades. And many students report that they are satisfied with their choice, which is very encouraging. Other result such as the characteristics unique to each college are also summarized and several suggestions are presented in the discussion section.

      • 가상대학에 관한 연구 : 덕성여대의 가상대학 체제 도입에 관한 연구 The Introduction of Virtual University at Duksung Women's University

        Traditional college education is institution-oriented system while students want learner-oriented system. Therefore, a new teaching method has to be adopted, and it is virtual university. Virtual university could have been developed by rapid advances in information technology and telecommunications. In virtual university, it provides self-direction and pure autonomy through disciplines study, and independent self-discovery of knowledge is prime method of learning. Instead of seledting curricula which are oriented to the school;s tradition and to the needs of society, students can select curricula which are directed to the individual needs of the student's personal and world-oriented needs. By taking virtual university system, learning is considered an on-going process and time is of lesser importance. In this study, basic concept of virtual university has been reviewed, and several virtual university types have been researched. To support virtual university at a college, a few technical requirements are requested in software and hardware aspects. This study briefly introduces theses technical requirements. The basic purpose of this study is to introduce virtual university at Duksung Women's University. virtual university can be an answer to allow a variety of learning experiences to students. Therefore, Duksung Women's University must carefully review to adopt virtual university system.

      • 덕성여자대학생의 진로미결정(Career Indecision)요인과 자기효험성(Self-Efficacy Expectation)과의 관계

        본 연구는 1993년 가을학기에 등록한 덕성여자대학생(n=507)을 대상으로 자기효험성(Self-Efficacy Expectations)과 진로미결정(Career Indecision)요인, 기타 세부인적사황과 관련된 변인들 - 나이, 학년, 소속 단과대학, 사회경제적지위(Socio Economic Status), 부모의 학력, 학교외의 특별활동, 일의 경험, 고향, 대부분의 교육을 받은 학교의 위치, 졸업후의 연장교육계획등 -과의 상관관계를 알아보고 이들 변인들중 진로를 결정한 그룹과 미결정한 그룹 여학생과의 차이점을 설명하려는데 그 목적이 있으며, 직업에 대한 구체적 준비와 진로에 대한 그들의 의식화요소, 자신과 일의 세계에 대한 탐색을 통하여 여대생의 진로개발과정을 이해하려는 데 있다. 세부직무분석 (Task-Specific Occupational Self-Efficacy Scale)도구를 통해 자기효험성을 측정하고, 진로측정도구(Career Decision Scale)를 통해 진로미결정 4가지 요인을 측정하였으며, 기타 세부인적사항변인들은 여성이 진로개발 문헌자료 및 선행연구를 통하여 선택되어져 중회귀분석을 통하여 가장 중요한 변인을 판별하여 본 연구 질문에 합당하게 통계처리되었다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 보다 근본적인 여대생의 진로태도를 이해하고 여성의 진로이론을 바탕으로한 실제적 진로상담이 이루어질 것이 제안된다. 여대생들에게 일반적으로 나타나는 높은 점수의 언어/대인관계직무와 관련된 각종 직업군의 소개와 탐색 정보를 제공하고 교육훈련기회까지 확장되는 진로상담의 역할이 요구되어진다. 한편 여대생을 비전통직(남성직) 직업 선택으로 유도하기 위한 기술관련 자기효험기대치를 높여주는 진로전환과정의 프로그램도 개발되어야 할 것이다. 여성 스스로의 직업에 대한 태도 및 인식전환도 중요한 과제이므로 직업인으로써의 여성역할모델을 제공하고 그것을 생애를 통해 개발할 수 있도록 여성의 생애경력개발 프로그램까지 진로상담에 포함시켜 활성화하여야 할 것이다. 아울러 학교차원에서 매년 대학입학생과 졸업생을 대상으로 그들의 진로의향을 조사하고 그것을 토대로 교양과목을 개설하여 일의 세계(The World of Work)에 대한 간접경험 및 지식의 기회를 제공함으로 원하는 진로와 관련된 자기효험기대치를 높여 성공적인 여성의 생애경력을 위한 토대를 마련함이 바로 교육과 일(School to Work)과의 효과적인 연계체계라 제안하며, 끝으로, 여대생의 진로방향과 일치된 정확한 일의 정보 및 노동시장의 동향을 체계적으로 제공하는 일도 여성의 성공적인 생애경력 개발을 유도하는 여자대학교의 역할이라 제안한다. This study was designed to investigate the utility of Bandura's self-efficacy theory in relationship to the understanding and treatment of the career indecision of female students in Korea, The total subject were 507 female undergraduate students enrolled in 1993 Autumn semester at the Ducksung Women's University. Focuses were upon investigating relationships between career indecision measured by the Career Decision Scale(CDS) and self-efficacy expectations measured at the task-specific level. The major purpose of the study were to 1) investigate the relationship between women's career indecision and self-efficacy expectations, and other selected background characteristics such as age, grade level, major field. social economic status(SES), parent's educational background, additional enrichment educational activities, previous work experience, location where most education was completed, hometown, educational and career plan after completion of college and attitude regarding planning family and its influence on their career plans, and 2) to describe the differentiation between decided and undecided students on the suggested variables. A short form of background characteristics questionnaire was used to measure extrneous variables. The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences was used to analyze the data. In order to meet research questions 1,2,3, canonical correlation analysis was performed. Discriminant analysis was also used for questions 4 and 5. In addition, due to the many dummy variables, one technical strategy for deciding what background variables to include in the independent variable set for this cannoical correlation was used. The strategy was to run the multiple regression on each of the dependent variables in order to decide which of the independnet variables are important(significant). There were 8 regressions of 4 sub-scales of CDS and 4 sub-scales of TSOSS with selected background characteristics. Only the sets of dummy variables that were demonstrated to be important by the regression analysis were included in the canonical correltiaon. When using multiple regression, regression assumptions regarding multicollinearity and residuals were checked. There was not evidence that the assumptions were violated. According to the findings, there are different sub-types of undecided students. Therefore, a counselor is recommended to proceed differently with students who are undecided because they are confused and lack information about occupations than with those who are undecided because several occupations have greats appeal for them. Especially, an educational policy maker should pay attention to the fact that females placed on decided group tended to show higher needs for support and external barriers in making career decisions. Therefore, educational policy makers are recommended to provide adequate policy for school to work transition to implement their career decisions in the college school life. For example, the work experiences or internship program in the college school fear should encourage the females to practice their intended career direction by providing a broadening opportunity. This study was relational in nature. A relational study cannot establish cause and effect relationships between variables. Therefore, the investigator sought only to explain and predict relationships among variables. Comparative research is recommended to determine the extent to which these findings are applicable in other education settings and different cultures.

      • 효과적인 덕성여대 홍보전략 수립을 위한 연구

        본 연구에서는 효율적인 덕성여대 홍보방안을 찾기 위한 기초연구를 실시하였다. 보다 구체적으로 본 연구의 목적은 (1) 1996년 신입생들을 대상으로 본 대학의 홍보에 대한 조사를 실시하고 (2) 이미 수집된 95년 자료와 96년 자료를 비교 분석함으로써 본 대학의 홍보전략을 효과적으로 수립하기 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 것이다. 연구방법은 질문지법을 이용했으며, 연구대상자는 덕성여대 1학년에 재학중인 학생 684명이었다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 덕성여대 홍보를 효과적으로 수행하기 위한 몇가지 방안을 제시하였다. The goal of this study was to do a preliminary study to devise effective public relations strategies for Duksung Women's University. More specifically, the purposes were (1) to carry out a survey of effective public relations strateies for Duksung with 1996 freshmen and (2) to compare 1995 and 1996 data for devising effecitve public relations strategies. The subjects were 684 Duksung freshmen. Some suggestions were made based on the results of the study.
