Objective: This study proposes a novel reference standard for hypervascular hepatocellular carcinomas (HCCs), established by cone-beam computed tomography-hepatic arteriography (CBCT-HA) and two-year imaging follow-up, and discusses its clinical implication on tumor staging and understanding the intrahepatic distant recurrence (IDR) in relation to dynamic computed tomography (CT). Materials and Methods: In this retrospective study, 99 patients were enrolled, who underwent CBCT-HA during initial chemoembolization for HCC suspected on CT. All patients underwent chemoembolization and regular clinical and imaging follow-up for two years. If IDR appeared on follow-up imaging, initial CBCT-HA images were reviewed to determine if a hypervascular focus pre-existed at the site of recurrence. Pre-existing hypervascular foci on CBCT-HA were regarded as HCCs in initial presentation. Initial HCCs were classified into three groups according to their mode of detection (Group I, detected on CT and CBCT-HA; Group II, additionally detected on CBCT-HA; Group III, confirmed by interval growth). We assessed the influence of CBCT-HA and two-year follow-up on initial tumor stage and calculated the proportion of IDR that pre-existed in initial CBCT-HA. Results: A total of 405 nodules were confirmed as HCCs, and 297 nodules initially pre-existed. Of the initial 297 HCCs, 149 (50.2%) lesions were in Group I, 74 (24.9%) lesions were in Group II, and the remaining 74 (24.9%) lesions were in Group III. After applying CBCT-HA findings, 11 patients upstaged in T stage, and 4 patients had a change in Milan criteria. Our reference standard for HCC indicated that 120 of 148 (81.1%) one-year IDR and 148 of 256 (57.8%) two-year IDR existed on initial CBCT-HA. Conclusion: The proposed method enabled the confirmation of many sub-centimeter-sized, faintly vascularized HCC nodules that pre-existed initially but clinically manifested as IDR. Our reference standard for HCC helped in understanding the nature of IDR and the early development of HCC as well as the clinical impact of tumor staging and treatment decision.

Since the early 2000s, there has been a continued interest in lie detection using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) in neuroscience and forensic sciences, as well as in newly emerging fields including neuroethics and neurolaw. Related fMRI studies have revealed converging evidence that brain regions including the prefrontal cortex, anterior cingulate cortex, parietal cortex, and anterior insula are associated with deceptive behavior. However, fMRI-based lie detection has thus far not been generally accepted as evidence in court, as methodological shortcomings, generalizability issues, and ethical and legal concerns are yet to be resolved. In the present review, we aim to illustrate these achievements and limitations of fMRI-based lie detection.

This research investigates the characteristics of the mobile social commerce and explores the moderating effects of perceived risk and price sensitivity. This survey targeted consumers in their 20s to 30s who use mobile social commerce applications. We used 261 questionnaires for the final statistical analysis. Descriptive analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis were applied in the data analysis. The results are summarized as follows. First, characteristics of mobile social commerce are composed of economics, informativeness, entertainment and promotion. Second, perceived risk (which had a negative effect on purchase intention) had moderating effects between perceived risk and economics or entertainment. Third, price sensitivity (which had a positive effect on purchase intention) had a moderating effect between price sensitivity and promotion. This study contributes to the disclosure of the role of perceived risk and price sensitivity as moderating factors between the characteristics of mobile social commerce and purchase intention. Finally, useful implications (both academic and practical) are provided for fashion retail managers

본 논문은 하드웨어에 독립적이고 패킷 처리 프로그래밍 개발의 효율성을 높이기 위하여 eFlowC 언어와 eFlowC 컴파일러를 제안한다. eFlowC 언어는 C 언어 기반의 고급언어이다. 그리고 기존의 C 문법에 패킷 처리 관련 기능을 위한 새로운 라이브러리를 추가하였다. eFlowC 컴파일러는 eFlowC 언어로 작성된 프로그램을 입력으로 받는다. 그리고 결과물로 가상 기계 목적 코드를 생성한다. 가상 기계 목적 코드는 언어 번역기의 입력 파일로 언어 번역기를 통하여 다양한 하드웨어 기계어로 번역이 가능하다.
Novel Compound Heterozygous Nonsense PRX Mutations in a Korean Dejerine-Sottas Neuropathy Family

Background Mutations in the gene encoding periaxin (PRX) are known to cause autosomalrecessive Dejerine-Sottas neuropathy (DSN) or Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 4F. However, there have been no reports describing Korean patients with these mutations. Case Report We examined a Korean DSN patient with an early-onset, slowly progressive,demyelinating neuropathy with prominent sensory involvement. Whole-exome sequencing andsubsequent capillary sequencing revealed novel compound heterozygous nonsense mutations(p.R392X and p.R679X) in PRX. One mutation was transmitted from each of the patient’s parents. No unaffected family member had both mutations, and the mutations were not found inhealthy controls. Conclusions We believe that these novel compound heterozygous nonsense mutations arethe underlying cause of DSN. The clinical, electrophysiologic, and pathologic phenotypes inthis family were similar to those described previously for patients with PRX mutations. Wehave identified the first PRX mutation in a Korean patient with DSN.
음파 진동 자극이 수면 초기 뇌파 변화에 미치는 영향 분석

본 논문은 음파진동 기반 침대의 수면 유도에 관한 효용성을 분석하고자 하였다. 20대 성인 남녀 총 25명을 대상으로 PSQI(Pittsburgh sleep quality index)설문을 실시하여 수면의 질이 나쁜 수면자 그룹 10명과 좋은 수면자 그룹 15명으로 나누었다. 음파진동자극은 10분간 인가되며, 음파진동자극 전후의 20분간 뇌파를 측정한다. 이때 뇌파는 10/20 system 규격에 의해 F3, F4, C3, C4, P3, P4, O1, O2 총 8개의 채널을 통해 측정하였다. 측정된 뇌파는 알파파 및 세타파의 상대 파워 스펙트럼과 서파 비율의 증가를 분석하였다. 그 결과 두 그룹 모두 음파진동자극 후에 알파파의 상대 파워 스펙트럼의 감소와 세타파의 상대 파워 스펙트럼의 증가를 보였다. 그러나 서파비율의 증가는 GS 그룹 보다 PS 그룹에서 더 낮게 관찰되었다. 음파진동 자극은 수면상태와 비슷한 이완을 가져올 수 있지만, 수면 장애를 겪는 사람의 경우 효율성이 떨어질 수 있다는 결론을 얻었다. 이것은 향후 다양한 음파진동자극 방법으로 효과적인 수면유도방법에 종합적으로 접근해야 함을 시사한다. 이 결과는 수면장애를 극복하기 위한 수면유도기기 개발에 도움이 될 수 있다. This study aimed to investigate to effect of sleep induction using functional bed based on sonic vibration. Through the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Questionnaire(PSQI), we selected 10 people to poor sleeper(PS) group and 15 people to good sleeper(GS) group. The sonic vibration of bed induced during 10 minute. The Electroencephalogram(EEG) was measured on F3, F4, C3, C4, P3, P4, O1, and O2 using the 10/20 system during 20 minute(pre and post sonic vibration). We analyzed the relative power of alpha and theta wave and increase rate of slow waves. The relative power of theta wave increased and the relative power of alpha wave decreased in post sonic vibration of two groups. The increase rate of slow waves was less PS group than GS group. It was concluded that although sonic vibration can bring about relaxation similar to that of sleep, it may be less efficient in people suffering from sleep disorders. This suggests that a comprehensive approach to effective sleep induction method through various sonic vibration methods in the future is required. This results may be helpful to develop the sleep induction instrument for sleep disorder.
