        흉추부에 발생한 거대 세포종 1예 - 증례보고 -

        The giant-cell tumor is uncommon. It occurs in the long bones and vertebral localization is much less common, particularly in thoracic spine. We present a case of a 37-year-old man suffering from severe back pain. Affected vertebral bodies were removed by transthoracic approach and the spine was reconstructed with iliac bone autografts and internal fixation device(Kaneda) between T 8 and T 11. Histologoical diagnosis was giant-cell tumor, and pertinent literature was reviewed.

        심한 치아 마모와 수복 공간 부족을 보이는 환자에서 CAD/CAM 기술을 활용한 완전 구강 회복: 증례 보고

        본 증례는 다수의 치아 상실과 심한 치아 마모로 인해 교합 고경(occlusal vertical dimension)의 감소 및 수복 공간 부족을 보이는 환자에 대한 computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) 기술을 활용한 완전 구강 회복 치료이다. 진단 단계에서 교합 고경에 대한 여러 분석을 통해 교합 고경 증가를 통한 완전 구강 회복을 계획하였다. 새롭게 설정된 교합 고경을 반영한 임시 수복물을 환자에게 적용하여 적응시키고, 이중 스캔 방법을 통해 임시 수복물의 정보를 최종 수복물에 옮긴 후, 3D 프린팅을 통해 금속 코핑을 제작하여 최종 고정성 금속 도재 수복물을 완성하였다. 이후 전자 서베잉과 3D 프린팅을 통해 가철성 국소의치 금속 구조물을 제작, 최종 가철성 국소의치로 환자치료를 완료하였다. 이러한 디지털 기술을 활용한 완전 구강 회복 치료로 환자는 기능적, 심미적으로 만족하였고, 술자는 임상적으로 받아들일 만한 치료결과로 판단하였다. This study reported the treatment of a patient with excessive worn dentition and limited maxillo-mandibular space for restoration, utilizing the computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology. After the thorough examination of the patient's occlusal vertical dimension (OVD), full mouth rehabilitation was planned with increase of the OVD. The patient was satisfied with the provisional restorations establishing the increased OVD. The horizontal and vertical data of the patient's jaw relation that the provisional restorations contained were transferred to the definitive metal ceramic fixed prostheses by double scanning and three-dimensional printing. After the fixed restorations were cemented to the abutments, electronic surveying and three-dimensional printing were used to fabricate metal frameworks for the patient's removable partial dentures. The mandibular definitive removable prostheses were delivered to the patient's mouth and the full mouth rehabilitation procedures were completed. The digital technologies used for this case produced fixed and removable restorations satisfactory in masticatory, phonetic and aesthetic functions to both the patient and the dental clinician.

        유기염소계 농약 중독 환자 임상 양상

        Purpose: To analyze the general characteristics and clinical aspects of the organochlorine intoxicated patients in Korea. Methods: We prospectively evaluated the organochlorine intoxicated patients visiting to the 38 emergency medical centers in Korea from the 1, Aug. 2005 to the 31, Jul. 2006. Results: There were 38 patients intoxicated by the organochlorine during the study periods. The mean age of patients was 55.1 years old. The mean amount of the organochlorine intoxicated is 246.1 mL. The most frequent place where the patients got and took the organochlorine was their home. Twenty eight patients(73.7%) intended to suicide. Nine patients out of 38 patients(23.7%) were died and they all intended to suicide. Conclusion: There were 38 patients intoxicated by the organochlorine during the study periods. The suicidal attempts and the number of the dead were higher in Korea than the developed countries.

        서울시 일부 지하철 역사 내 공기 중 진균 농도에 관한 연구

        This study was performed to assess airborne fungi concentrations during fall in eight subway stations in Seoul, Korea. The purpose of this study was to investigate appropriate culture media and evaluate factors affecting airborne fungi concentrations. Results indicated that airborne fungi concentrations showed log-normal distribution. Thus, geometric mean (GM) and geometric standard deviation (GSD) were calculated. The GM of airborne fungi concentrations cultured on malt extract agar (MEA) media was 466 $cfu/m^3$ (GSD 3.12; Range 113~4,172 $cfu/m^3$) and the GM of concentrations cultured on DG18 media was 242 $cfu/m^3$ (GSD 4.75; Range 49~6,093 $cfu/m^3$). Both of GM values exceeded 150 $cfu/m^3$, the guideline of World Health Organization (WHO). There was no significant difference between two fungi concentrations cultured on MEA and DG18 media, respectively. Two factors, such as relative humidity and depths of subway stations were significantly related to airborne fungi concentrations. It is recommended that special consideration should be given to deeper subway stations for improvement of indoor air quality.

        새마을 열차 환경소음 예측식 제안

        For the reduction and efficient management of railway noise, first of all prediction of railway noise is necessarily requisited. Many studies for prediction of railway nearby noise have been accomplished. But it is impossible to predict easily and exactly for the Korean Railway, because the acoustic powers for each rolling stock operated in Korea have not been built yet. So in this study, Prediction model equation for environmental noise for Korean rolling stock Saemaeul was suggested using SEL of engine and rolling noise component separately. Finally for the validation of prediction equation, the predicted result was compared to the measured.

        가습기살균제 사용에 따른 아동의 학업성취도 영향

        Background: Humidifier disinfectant exposure is an ongoing issue, and there is still considerable related controversy. Various approaches are needed to secure scientific evidence on the extent of the victims’ damages and for the determination of appropriate compensation. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to assess the association between humidifier disinfectant (HD) use and academic achievement in Korean children. Methods: This study used data from the 8th Panel Study on Korean Children in 2015. For the final study, 1,598 cases were used. T-tests and multiple linear regression analyses were conducted to determine whether the use of humidifier disinfectant is a factor that affects academic ability. Results: Children in groups using humidifier disinfectant showed statistically significantly lower scores in all areas of language, including reading, speaking and writing, and statistically lower scores in all areas of mathematics, including counting, addition and subtraction. In the multiple regression analysis results, which control for the effects of various demographic/social variables, the use of humidifier disinfectants showed statistically significant beta coefficients (β: -0.357, p<0.001), negatively affecting children s language ability. As for the math variable, which was created by combining counting, addition, and subtraction scores, the use of humidifier disinfectants as independent variables also showed statistically significant beta coefficients (β: -0.200, p<0.001), negatively affecting children s math ability. Conclusions: The results of the study showed that depending on whether or not humidifier disinfectants were used, there are differences in children s language abilities, such as reading, speaking, and writing, as well as in their mathematical abilities, such as counting, adding, and subtracting numbers. These findings are thought to serve as a scientific basis for extending the perspective from health effects to more diverse areas of demographic and social impact related to humidifier disinfectant damage and compensation.

        광복 후 "인천체육협회"에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 광복 후 인천체육협회의 창립과 활약상을 대중일보를 통해 살펴보고 단체의 활약이 인천체육발전에 어떠한 영향을 끼쳤는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대중일보는 인천최초의 지방지로 1945년 10월 7일창간되었다. 대중일보는 체육을 보도함에 있어 지방체육향상에 미력하나마 힘을 보탠다는 정신으로 인천체육을 기록하였다. 둘째, 인천체육협회는 1945년 10월 10일 창립하였고 이는 조선체육동지회보다도 한 달 이상 빠른 창립이었다. 협회는 축구와 야구 중심으로 활약하였고 다양한 종목의 발전도 주도하였다. 협회는 1946년 6월 20일, 기구혁신을 통해 임원을 교체하는 등 권위 있는 인천최고의 체육단체로 신성장기를 이룬다. 협회는 1948년 6월 이후 씨름, 정구, 배구, 유도, 권투, 수상, 자전차, 레슬링 등 다양한 종목을 고루 발전시키며 경기도체육의 중앙으로 이동해나갔다. 결국 인천체육협회는 광복직후 사회적 혼란기임에도 인천과 경기도체육의 발전을 주도하며 초창기 한국체육 발전을 주도해나간 단체였다. This study tries to show the establishment and the activity of‘Incheon Athletics Association’after liberating from the Empire of Japan through Daejung Ilbo and its effect on the improvement of Incheon athletics. The study result is as follows. First Daejung Ilbo was established on October 7, 1945 as the first local newspaper in Incheon. Daejung Ilbo reported that it tried to contribute to the improvement of local athletics when it reported about athletics. Second, Incheon Athletics Association was established on October 10, 1945. It was one month earlier than the establishment of Chosun Athletics Comrade Society. Incheon Athletics Association focused on soccer and baseball for its main activities. It later led the improvement of other sports. On June 20, 1946, it changed some executive members through renovation to become the top athletics association in Incheon. Since June 1948, the association developed many sports such as Korean wrestling, tennis, judo, boxing, swimming, bicycling and wrestling moving to the center of Gyeonggi athletics. Actually Incheon Athletics Association led the initial Korean athletics development while leading Incheon and Gyeonggido athletics in the chaotic period just after liberating from the empire of Japan.

      • 한국철도 소음 예측을 위한 음향파워 산출 및 활용에 관한 연구

At home and abroad many studies for prediction of railway nearby noise have been accomplished. But it is impossible to predict exactly for the Korean Railway, because the acoustic powers for each rolling stock used in Korea have not been built yet. So in this study, acoustic powers for each Korean rolling stock such as Samaeul, Mugungwha were builded accoding to the speed and rail support systems. Predicted results using the acoustic powers suggested in this study are compared with measured results and it is known that these acoustic powers can be used for precise prediction of railway noise.
