유산학(Heritage Studies)의 배경, 개발 및 최신 연구 동향

This article examines how the abstract concept of ‘heritage’ grew into a research topic and how it became established as its own academic discipline. The idea of heritage has existed since ancient times, and it broadly encompasses the act of passing down and inheriting a particular tradition, object, or place. The University of Cambridge was the first institution to announce and develop ‘heritage’ into ‘Heritage Studies.’ Heritage Research was first introduced through the Masters’ course in World Archaeology in 1998, then later became its own degree program under the name ‘Archaeological Heritage and Museums.’ Moreover, in 2018, The University of Cambridge declared Heritage Studies as an independent discipline. As such, starting in the late 1980s, Heritage Research has been expanding and developing for over 30 years. Although the history of Heritage Studies is relatively short, this discipline’s impact, influence and demand in all academic, practical, political and social fields is immense globally. Heritage Studies is gaining a great deal of interest and investment in South Korea and thus, this article introduces the background, development, and recent research trends of Heritage Studies in hopes that South Korea also systematically embraces the core questions and scope of this academic discipline.
낙엽송 개벌 임분에서 타워야더를 이용한 전목수확시스템의 작업비용 분석

The productivity and cost of clear cutting operations were examined to broaden our knowledge on the harvesting system in a Larix leptolepis stand of Korea. The harvesting system was divided into tree operations which were chainsaw (STIHL MS440) felling, tower yarder (Koller301-4) yarding and harvester (WOODY H50) processing. The average cycle time of felling, yarding and processing were 98 s/cycle, 245 s/cycle and 150 s/cycle. The total stump-to- pile operational productivity was 43.07 m3/hr. The highest production activity was the felling 17.93 m3/hr, followed by the productivity of processing 15.62 m3/hr and then by the productivity of yarding 9.52 m3/hr. In addition the total stump- to-pile operational cost was 24,086 won/m3. The highest cost activity was the yarding 14,557 won/m3 (60.4% of the total cost), followed by the costs of processing 8,461 won/m3 (35.2%) and then by the costs of felling 1,068 won/m3.
타워야더+프로세서 기반의 작업시스템에서 단공정 및 다공정작업의 생산성 및 비용분석

The harvesting system in South Korea faces the problems of aging workers and high wages, so it is necessary to improve the operation system and train workers to use high-performance forestry machines. This study compared the effectiveness and costs of yarding and processing operations between a multi-operation system using a tower yarder (HAM300) and a processor (KESLA 20SH) with those of a single-system using a forestry combi-machine. A whole-tree (cable) yarding operation was conducted in the clear-cutting area located at Compartment 15, Gwangneung Experimental Forest, National Institute of Forest Science, and the productivity and cost of multi- and single-system were analyzed. The productivity of the single-system was 1.5 m3/PMH and 1.6 m3/PMH higher than that of the multi- system because the single-system produced 1 log/cycle more than the multi-system in the yarding operation. The cost was approximately 12.1% lower for the single-system (₩36,113/m3) than for the multi-system (₩41,065/m3). The costs of the single-system and multi-system were decreased by maximums of 22.6% and 15.9%, respectively, by decreasing the idle time. 우리나라의 임목수확작업은 작업자의 고령화 및 고임금의 문제에 직면하고 있으며, 위기 개선을 위해 작업체계 개선 및 고성능 임업기계를 이용한 안정성 확보 등이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 경사 35% 이상의 지역에서 타워야더와 프로세서를 기반으로 한 목재수확시스템을 적용할 때 다공정작업과 단공정작업의 생산성을 비교하며, 작업시스템의 비용절감 효과를 분석하고자 하였다. 국립산림과학원 광릉시험림 15임반 모두베기 지역을 대상으로 전목(가선)집재작업을 실시하였으며, 다공정과 단공정시스템의 생산성 및 비용을 분석하였다. 다목적집재장비를 이용한 단공정시스템은 타워야더와프로세서를 이용한 다공정시스템에 비해 cycle당 집재본수가 1본/cycle 더 많아 집재작업 생산성은 약 1.5 m3/PMH (Produc- tive Machine Hour; PMH)이, 조재작업은 약 1.6 m3/PMH이 더 높게 산출되었다. 다목적집재장비를 이용한 단공정(36,113 원/m3)시스템은 다공정작업(41,065원/m3)시스템 보다 약 12.1%의 비용이 절감되었다. 또한 유휴시간(Idle time) 감소에 따라 단공정 및 다공정시스템 비용은 각각 최대 22.6%와 15.9%가 절감되었다.
고령에서 발생한 Plummer-Vinson 증후군 1예

Plummer-Vinson 증후군은 상부식도의 막양구조 및 연하곤란, 철결핍성 빈혈을 나타내는 복합 증후군으로, 대부분 중년 여성에서 호발하지만 80세 이상의 고령에서는 극히 드물다. 이 증후군의 임상증상은 식도의 막양구조의 내시경적 풍선확장술과 충분한 철분 제제 투여로 대부분 호전되지만, 철결핍성 빈혈의 원인 질환 및 동반된 악성질환의 유무를 확인하는 것이 중요하다. 특히, 고령에서 발생한 경우, 중년 여성의 가장 흔한 철겹핍성 빈혈의 원인인 생리과다와는 달리 만성 위장관 실혈을 일으키는 악성질환이나 다른 동반된 만성염증성 질환과의 감별이 필요하다. 82세 여자가 1개월간의 점차 진행되는 연하곤란을 주소로 내원하여 상부식도의 막양구조와 철결핍성 빈혈을 동반한 Plummer-Vinson 증후군으로 진단하였고, 상부식도의 막양구조는 내시경적 풍선확장술로 치료하여 연하곤란이 호전되었고 철결핍성 빈혈은 철분 제제의 투여로 빈혈이 개선되었다. 저자들은 고령에서 발생한 Plummer-Vinson 증후군 1예를 경험하여 보고한다.

Logging equipment and method have a major influence on harvesting productivity and cost. This study investigated the productivity and operational costs of tree-length cable yarding system using HAM300, a domestically developed tower yarder. We tested HAM300 for thinning operation in Pinus densiflora stands at Gangreung, Gangwon-do on April, 2014. To assess the productivity we conducted time study for each stage of the operation. When the average time/cycle was examined for each stage of the operation, the longest was for yarding (241 sec), followed by delimbing (237 sec), felling (153 sec), and processing (103 sec). Furthermore, productivity for felling was 8.6 m³/hr, followed by delimbing (5.1 m³/hr), yarding (3.5 m³/hr), and processing (8.1 m³/hr). The total cost for the tree-length logging system was 58,446 won/m³, of which the majority was incurred by the yarding cost at 46,217 won/m³ (79.3%), whereas the lowest cost was for felling at 2,359 won/m³ (4.1%). We suggest that it is necessary to foster specialized operators and provide training in operating the tower yarder thereby implementing efficient harvesting system resulting from low-cost yarding.
