들소(Bos javanicus)로 밝혀진 호랑이 기념품: DNA 염기서열 분석에 의한 종 확인

Tigers are one of the most endangered species over the world and protected internationally or locally. However, they are still traded illegally for the Traditional East Asia Medicine or souvenirs / mementos as well as fake products. In the present study, to identify the species of the specimen known as the tiger's genitalia that was sold for mementos in China, two approaches of genetic tools and morphological comparisons were applied. On the basis of the entire sequences of mitochondrial cytochrome b gene (1,140 bp), the result of nucleotide comparisons showed that the specimen examined here is matched with banteng, Bos javanicus (Identities = 1,138/1,140; 99%). In addition, the examination of external morphological characters revealed that the genitalia of the specimen is much more similar to the one of cows, not to tigers. The outcomes highlighted that there are still some fake products of tigers traded in market and molecular genetic tools could help identifying species of wildlife products.

증강현실에서 3차원적 증강은 입력 비디오나 이미지로부터 3차원 구조 복원 및 추적을 필요로 한다. 이를 위해 제안된 기존의 방법들은 대개 정확한 3차원 모델을 사전에 구축해두고 실시간에 대조하는 방식을 취하였는데, 이 방식은 정확한 측정에 기반한 모델이 있어야 한다는 점과 대상물을 일일이 모델링해야하는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문은 각 대상물별 정밀한 모델 없이 유형별로 일반화된(generic) 모델만을 사용하는 방식을 제안함으로써 층간 이동 등을 허용하는 광범위 이동형 실내 증강현실 응용 가능성을 제시하고자 하였다. 제안한 방법은 일반화된(generic) 모델을 변형(affine transformation)하여 주어진 장면에서 오류 임계치 이내의 정합을 이루는 모델 변형 값인 스케일, 위치, 회전 값을 찾아냄으로써, 그에 따라 정합된 3차원 공간구조에 관해 일관성 있게 증강객체가 배치될 수 있도록 하는 것이다. 이 방법은 정밀 모델링에 드는 시간과 노력 비용을 줄이며, 실험을 통해 크기나 디테일은 다르지만 유사 패턴이 반복되는 통로구조의 복원과 추적에 사용될 수 있음을 보였다. In Augmented Reality, it needs restoration and tracking of a real-time scene structure for the augmented 3D model from input video or images. Most of the previous approaches construct accurate 3D models in advance and try to fit them in real-time. However, it is difficult to measure 3D model accurately and requires long pre-processing time to construct exact 3D model specifically. In this research, we suggest a real-time scene structure analysis method for the wide indoor mobile augmented reality, using only generic models without exact pre-constructed models. Our approach reduces cost and time by removing exact modeling process and demonstrates the method for restoration and tracking of the indoor repetitive scene structure such as corridors and stairways in different scales and details.
하드왁싱과 슈가링에 따른 성인남성 안면의 피부상태 변화와 제모효과

This study attempted to investigate the effects of hard waxing and sugaring in removing facial hair and sideburns and comparatively analyze changes in skin conditions. hard waxing was applied to the left side of the face wh the face while sugaring was conducted on the right side. Skin and hair conditions were measured 3 times. Then, the result the results were evaluated through a questionnaire survey. First, concerning the effects of on facial skin conditions after hard waxing and sugaring, sebum levels have significantly decreased and moisture levels and skin tone and roughness increased and pores widened right after the treatment. moisture and pores and skin tone on tone on facial In 4 weeks after the treatment, no statistically significant difference was observed when compared to ski to skin conditions before the treatment. In terms of facial hair sebum and sideburn roughness, skin did not fully fully recover even in 4 weeks. Second, according to analysis of changes in facial hair quantity after hard waxing and and sugaring, it decreased right after both hard waxing and sugaring. In 4 weeks after the treatment, remaining hair significantly decreased when compared to conditions before the treatment. In sideburns after hard waxi waxing, however, no statistically significant difference was found in comparison to previous conditions. After both hard waxing and sugaring, no statistically significant difference was observed in terms of hair removal and skin conditions. However, the participants from the sugaring group were higher in satisfaction and intention t to get the treatment again and recommend it to others.

유기화합물 첨가제에 따른 철 기반 양극과 polyoxometalate 음극 기반 수계 레독스 흐름 전지의 성능 관계

In this study, an aqueous-based redox flow battery (RFB) was constructed using tungstosilic acid (TSA), which is a kind of polyoxometalate, as the negative electrode active material and iron chloride (FeCl<sub>3</sub>) as the positive electrode active material in a sulfuric acid (H<sub>2</sub>SO<sub>4</sub>) supporting electrolyte. As a result of the cell’s performance, it exhibited capacity fading and low energy efficiency. To address these issues, malic acid (MA), an organic additive, was introduced to the positive electrode active material and then tested for electrochemical properties and single cell performance. The malic acid in the iron chloride aqueous solution is working as a chelate agent, and two carboxyl groups are effectively coordinated with iron ions. It was found that MA reduced the electrolyte resistance of the positive electrode active material, leading to chemical stabilization and an increase in capacity and energy efficiency.
