Purpose : The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of rope-skipping exercise on body composition and basic physical fitness in healthy subjects: a randomized control trial. Method : Twenty two subjects were randomly allocated to two groups: rope-skipping group (n=11) and control group (n=11). The rope-skipping group participated in rope-skipping exercise for 30 minutes a day, three days a week for four weeks. Body composition was measured using the subjects' weight, body mass index (BMI), and waistline. Basic Physical fitness was measured flexibility and agility. Result : The rope-skipping showed significant differences in waistline and agility. The control group showed no significant differences. There were significant difference in agility between the rope-skipping and the control group. Conclusion : The rope-skipping exercise increased waistline and agility in healthy subjects. Additional research on rope-skipping exercise for improving body composition and basic physical fitness is need.
한국인 안드로젠 저항성 증후군 환자의 안드로젠 수용체 유전자 변이 양상

N/A Androgen insensitivity syndrome (AIS) is a X-linked disorder of sexual differentiation resulting from defective androgen receptor (AR) function. Androgens are secreted by the testes of 46,XY individuals, but there is loss of target organ response to the hormone. The abnormalities of AR are due to defects in the AR gene, and many mutations causing AIS have been reported since the cloning of AR gene. In this study, we analyzed the AR genes in twelve Korean patients with androgen insensitivity syndrome: 9 patients with complete AIS and 3 patients with partial AIS. DNAs were isolated from patients with AIS, and the coding region of AR gene was amplified by a polymerase chain reaction using 7 pairs of primers (exon B-H). Sequence analysis of the AR gene was performed using direct sequencing and single strand conformational polymorphism (SSCP). The AR gene mutations were identified in 7 out of 12 patients: 6 of 9 patients with complete AIS, and one of 3 patients with partial AIS. Mutations found were as follows: the point mutation (ATT→ACT) at position 680 of exon D, point mutation (TGG→TGC) at position 751 of exon E, point mutation (CAA→TAA) at position 792 of exon F, point mutations (CGC→TGC, GTG→ATG) at position 855 and 866 of exon G, and the deletion of 13 nucleotides (CGTATCATTGCAT) at position 840 of exon G, respectively. To the best of our knowledge, the point mutations found in exon D, exon E, and exon F, and the deletion in exon G have not been observed before. SSCP revealed bands with abnormal mobility in 10 out of 12 patients tested. Mutations were found 5 out of these 10 patients. The other two patients showed no abnormal band on SSCP, but showed mutations by direct sequencing. In conclusion, we have demonstrated the AR gene mutations, including three novel mutations, in Korean patients with AIS, and these abnormalities might be related to the pathogenesis of androgen insensitivity syndrome.

The use of pelviscopy for management of adnexal mass has increased dramatically in the last few years. Pelviscopy is safe and effective diagnostic and therapeutic tool for adnexal mass. But, detection of unpredicted ovarian malignancy is troublesome for proper management. To prevent this hazard, application of strict criteria for preoperative patient selection and careful intraoperative assessment are critical. Recently we experienced a case of dysgerminoma incidentally found after pelviscopic surgery in a 28 year old woman with bilateral adnexal masses. Preoperative evaluation and even intraoperative frozen biopsy showed no evidence of malignancy, but the final pathologic report was dysgerminoma combined with endometriosis. Six cycles of postoperative BEP(B1eomycin, Etoposide, Cisplatin) combination chemotherapy was done, and the patient has shown no evidence of disease for 12-month follow up period. We present this case of dysgerminoma incidentally found after pelviscopic ovarian surgery with a brief review of the literatures.

유선종양은 암컷 개에서 가장 흔한 암 중의 하나이며 종양 타입에 따라 조직학적으로 다양한 종류의 세포들이 존재한다. 특히, 복합 상피암종(complex carcinoma)의 경우 내강상피세포(luminal epithelium)와 근상피세포(myoepithelium)가 혼재되어 종양 내 세포 이형성(intra-tumoral heterogeneity)을 보인다. 하지만, 이러한 다양한 종양세포의 기원과 종양의 악성화에 미치는 영향에 대해서는 아직 밝혀진 바 없다. 최근, 여러 종류의 사람 종양에서 알려진 종양줄기세포는 종양 내 세포의 다양성(diversity)에 관여하고 악성화에도 기여할 수 있다고 보고되었다. 흥미롭게도 종양줄기세포는 자가재생능과 다분화능을 갖는 정상줄기세포와 동일한 능력을 가지고 있지만 종양 특이 유전자의 돌연변이와 줄기세포성격유지를 조절하는 신호전달체계에 문제가 있어 종양의 발생 시작부터 다른 조직으로의 전이에 관여하여 개체의 생존률에 직접적인 영향을 준다. 뿐만 아니라, 방사선 및 화학항암제에 대한 저항성을 보이기 때문에 종양 재발에 밀접하게 연관되어 있다. 본 리뷰 논문은 개 유선종양의 특성 및 종류, 종양줄기세포의 정의, 분리 방법, 임상학적 중요성에 대해서 정리하였다. Mammary gland tumors are one of the most common cancers in female dogs, and there are various types of cells depending on the tumor type. Complex carcinoma consists of a combination of luminal epithelial and myoepithelial cells with intra-tumoral heterogeneity. However, the origins of these tumor cells and their effects on the malignancies of tumors have not been identified. Recently, it has been reported that cancer stem cells, identified in several types of human tumors, are involved in tumor heterogeneity and may also contribute to malignancies such as tumor recurrence and metastasis. Interestingly, cancer stem cells share several abilities of self-renewal and cell differentiation into multiple types of cancer cells, but they have abnormal genetic mutation and signal transduction pathways to regulate the maintenance of stem cell characters. Moreover, it is known that these cell populations contribute to cell metastasis as well as cell resistance against chemo- and radio-therapeutics that promote tumor recurrence. The existence of cancer stem cells might explain the intra-tumoral heterogeneity and cancer aggressiveness during tumorigenesis in canine mammary gland tumors. This review summarizes the characteristics and types of canine mammary gland tumors, the definition of tumor stem cells, methods of isolation, and clinical significance.
공공토목사업 CM 발주를 위한 단계별 업무지원 시스템 구축

Recently, the MLTM (Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs) has announced CM business guidelines, because it is expected that the CM deliveries are going to be increased for a civil engineering industry with enforcement of the CM at Risk. In this trend, The CM business guideline, which is currently announced, is for the steps after the CM contract. However, the practical business guideline from a planning phase for the CM delivery to a selection phase of a CMr (Construction Manager) is essential for public construction projects including the civil engineering projects that the frequency of the CM deliveries is not sufficient. Therefore, this study established a standardized process model from the planning phase for the CM delivery to the selection phase of the CMr. study configured a business breakdown structure for CM delivery. A prototype system for supporting the CM delivery was also developed, and a practical operability was verified by a case evaluation based on the developed system. Hence, it is expected that this study will be utilized as a supporting system of the CM delivery business for public clients, which have not sufficient cases of the CM delivery. 위험형 CM(CM at Risk) 제도의 시행과 함께 토목시설물에도 CM계약사례가 증가할 것으로 예상되어, 국토해양부 등에서는 CM 업무지침을 공표하고 있다. 현재 공표된 CM 업무지침은 CM 계약 이후의 업무지침이지만, CM 발주사례가 부족한 토목사설을 포함한 공공사업에서는 CM 발주 자체에 필요한 CM발주의 가획단계부터 CM 업자 (Construction Manager, CMr) 선정까지의 업무지침이 필요한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 발주처의 건설사업관리 발주업무를 발주 기획단계부터 CMr 선정단계까지 표준화된 프로세스 모형으로 구축하였으며, 이를 위해 CM발주 업무분류체계를 구성하였다. 또한 연구에서는 구축된 모형에 근거한 CM 발주지원 시스템을 개발하여 시스템의 실무 운영성을 검증하였다. 이러한 연구는 CM 발주사례가 부족한 발주처의 CM 발주업무 지원체계로 활용성을 가질 수 있다.

We examined the degree of microbial contamination of toothbrushes according to the storage method of toothbrush and used time. Microbial numbers at toothbrushes with fine bristles were higher than those at toothbrushes with typical bristles. It showed the toothbrushes with fine bristles contaminated by bacteria those of the toothbrushes with typical bristles. In all case of keeping in a UV sterilizer, bateria on toothbrushes was not detected, in all case of keeping in a cool and shady place like bathroom, microbial numbers on toothbrushes were 8.7×10 CFU/㎖ at the first day, 3.2×10 2 CFU/㎖ at the fourth day and 1.217×10 CFU/㎖ at the seventh day, and in all case of keeping in a plastic tub, were 1.273×10 CFU/㎖ at the first day, 8.937×10 CFU/㎖ at fourth day and 3.585×10 CFU/㎖ at seventh day. Keeping in a plastic tub is the way to increase microbial contamination of toothbrushes (p<0.05), and microbial numbers of keeping in a cool and shady place and a plastic tub increased significantly according to the used time (p<0.05). Based on the results, the most basic and essential way to prevent infectious diseases mediated by a toothbrush is a proper storage method and a regular replacement of toothbrush, toothbrush with fine bristles should be often replaced for prevention of microbial contamination.
