          대학생의 인구사회학적 요인과 우울과의 관계

          The purpose of this study was to examine the level of self-rated depression of health-related majors in an effort to determine influential factors for their school adjustment. The subjects in this study were 205 students who were in the departments of dental hygiene and clinical pathology in a college of health. The mental health of the students was evaluated by Zung s Self-Rating Depression scale of 20 items from September 1, 2013, to March 30, 2014. The general characteristics had an approximately 8.0%(R2=.080) explainability of depression. Depression was under the statistically significant negative influence of academic year(p<.05), and the form of drinking(p<.05) had a statistically significant positive impact on that. It showed that the students whose academic year was higher and who drank less suffered from less depression. Conclusion: To promote the mental health of college students, the development of educational programs that aim at teaching them to control their own stress in consideration of their sociodemographic characteristics and academic achievement is required.

          Objectives: The purpose of this study is to understand the effect of perception of behavior related to hand hygiene improvement on dental infection management performance among dental hygienists. Methods: A survey was conducted among 230 dental hygienists working in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam. The collected data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis using the IBM SPSS 26.0 statistical program. Results: The findings indicated that dental hygienist s hand hygiene education showed the most significant value to the regular hand hygiene feedback(r=.736). The factors that positively influence the perception of hand hygiene-related behavior on dental infection management performance were hand hygiene education (p<.001), regular feedback on hand hygiene(p<.01), and patient’ hand hygiene requirements before contact(p<.05) appeared in order. Conclusions: The importance of hand hygiene by dental hygienists should be recognized, and basic data on the development and operation of infection control programs should be provided.

          우리나라 청소년의 식습관에 따른 구강증상경험과의 관련성

          Objectives: The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between adolescents'dietary habits and oral symptom experiences based on the 16th(2020) Korea youth risk behavior online survey. Methods: The chi-square test and logistic regression analysis were performed to identify the correlation between oral symptom experiences and the other variables. Results: The more frequently consumed soft drinks, sweet drinks, and fast food, the more experienced oral symptoms. In addition, the fewer fruits and water intake, and the more education they received on dietary habits, the fewer oral symptoms experienced. Conclusions: Since it is very important to form the right dietary habits in adolescence, I think that oral health education related to diet can prevent oral diseases.

          황기 추출물에 의한 Porphyromonas gingivalis의 억제효과

          The purpose of this study was to evaluate the inhibitory effect of Astragali radis extract in porphyromonas gingivalis (P. gingivalis). This study used Astragali radis leaves cultivated in Kangwon-do after adding 70% ethanol fivefold. The Astragali radis were then concentrated (Gotary vacuum evaporator; N-Nseries, EYELA Co., Japan) and placed under an aspirator (A-3S, EYELA Co., Japan) and a freeze dryer (Ilshin Lab Co., South Korea). The freeze-dried sample was dissolved into dimethlysulfoxide (DMSO). The inhibitory effect of Astragali radis extract was investigated using measurement of the clear zone and the growth inhibitory effect. The measurement of the clear paper disc circle using a growth inhibitory section showed P. gingivalis inhibition with 11 mm at 20 mg/mL. The survival rate of P. gingivalis calculated from the colony-forming units (CFUs) showed growth inhibition as the concentration increased. However, the inhibitory effect of 5 mg/mL, 10 mg/mL and 20 mg/mL did not show a significant antimicrobial effect, although an inhibition of bacterial growth was observed at 20 mg/mL. Based on the results of this study, Astragali radis extract inhibited the growth of P. gingivalis from a 5 mg/mL concentration.

          Objectives: He study was conducted to examine the effects of the combined use of waterpik and hexamidine mouthwash by orthodontic patients on the decrease of oral periodontal bacteria pathogens and dental plaque index. Methods: In this study, oral health education was conducted for four weeks by dividing 30 orthodontic patients at Y dental clinic in Busan into a control group and an experimental group after which their PHP index was measured. Results: PHP index values decreased the most when the number of weeks of waterpik use was longer and when there was a combined use of waterpiks and hexamidine after the administation of oral health education. Conclusions: Oral health education hours must be extended so that dental hygienists can encourage patients to use the combination of Waterpik and hexamidine solution.

          Objectives: The purpose of this study is to verify and confirm that classes through practice in the dental hygiene process are effective in changing the meta-cognitive level, critical thinking, and problem-solving ability of dental hygiene students. Methods: The study involved 111 fourth-year students of the department of dental hygiene of a university located within Busan metropolitan city, who attended a practice course in the dental hygiene process from May to November 2019. The participants were asked to respond to a questionnaire three times (before, during, and after the course). Data analysis was performed using IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 25.0 for Windows. The level of statistical significance was set at p<0.05. Results: The metacognitive level score was 4.75 points before, 4.89 points during, and 5.24 points after the practice in the clinical dental hygiene process (p < 0.001). The critical thinking score was 3.44 points before, 3.62 points during, and 3.70 points after the practice (p < 0.001). The problem-solving ability score was 3.64 points before, 3.69 points during, and 3.92 points after the practice (p < 0.01). Conclusions: Learning through the clinical dental hygiene process has been shown to be effective in changing meta-cognitive level, critical thinking and improving problem-solving ability.

          Objectives: To evaluate the level of oral health education of dental hygienists’ implant patients in order to assess the need for systematic patient management by dental hygienists and to identify suitable alternatives Methods: This study collected data from September 20, 2019 to October 20, 2019 through a questionnaire for dental hygienists with oral health education experience in patients with implants among dental hygienists in dental clinics located in Busan and Gyeongsangnam-do, and a total of 209 responded. Results: According to the analysis of dental hygienists oral health education status, 85.0% of the respondents said they would implement oral health education, and the education data showed that the reference model and oral equipment of the subjects were the most frequently used. After the training, 55.3% of the respondents gave feedback on the training, and the most common method of feedback was to induce re-entry. For education, 93.5 percent (159 people) of the respondents said “cited the correct use of oral hygiene products as the most important aspect.” Conclusions: The practice rate of oral health education of dental hygienists and the lack of awareness of the importance of oral health education in clinical practice.

          Objectives: The purpose of this study is to develop a problem-based learning package that can be applied to dental hygiene and subjects, and to apply the developed package to learning to check problem solving ability, self-directed learning ability, and academic self-efficacy. Methods: In order to develop a problem-oriented learning package, the application possibility for clinical hygiene subjects was identified through literature review, and a problem-based learning (PBL) package was developed based on its effectiveness and necessity. Results: As such, after learning the literacy-oriented learning package, the participants had a tendency to actively participate in the subject learning time and to think more critically, and it was found to be effective in improving problem solving ability and self-directed learning ability. Conclusions: Based on this study, it will grow as a dental hygienist with specialized competency by improving problem solving ability, thinking ability, and social ability through indirect experiences in various clinical trials that cannot be solved by clinical practice alone. Also, in order to improve the learning effect of learners, it is considered that various packages for each dental hygiene area that can be applied to the dental hygiene department will be needed

          임상치과위생사의 직무효능감과 몰입 직무만족도 영향요인

          Objectives: This study was conducted to investigate Job efficacy, commitment and job satisfaction in the clinical practice of dental hygienists, and to find out the factors that affect them, and to explore the clinical adaptation and long-term work methods. Methods: After conducting and analyzing a job satisfaction survey of 256 dental hygienists working at two dental hospitals and 20 dental office in Gwangju city. Results: The results were concluded as follows. Job efficacy has shown significant differences depending on age, working experience and main tasks (p<0.05). Organizational commitment differed significantly depending on age, number of patients, health condition and employee welfare (p<0.05). There were meaningful differences in job satisfaction depending on work experience, number of units, number of employees, number of patients, health status and employee welfare (p<0.05). There was a meaningful correlation between tissue ingress and positive (r=0.216) and organizational commitment(r=0.601) and meaningful correlation between organizational commitment with Job-efficacy (r=0.346). The higher the work experience (β=0.219), the lower the unit count (β=-0.202) and the higher the number of employees (β=0.252). The lower the work experience (β=-0.083) and the lower the unit count (β=-0.130), the better the number of employees (β=0.181), the better the health status (β=0.078), the higher the monthly wage (β=0.349), the better the employee welfare (β=0.30). The lower the number of units (β=-0.177), the higher the number of employees (β=0.340), the better the health condition (β=0.128), the higher the monthly wage (β=0.275), and the better the employee welfare (β=0.250). Conclusions: Clinical adaptation and long-term work of dental hygienists requires physical work environment, welfare, and psychological support that can enhance the sense of Job efficacy, organizational commitment and Job satisfaction for the task.

          Background and Purpose: Many students are concentrating upon Department of the Dental Hygiene specially, even students, who re-admission after graduating from university, tend to be increasing. Therefore, this study came to be performed in order to be conductive to the application of basic data for enhancing the major satisfaction in students of the dept. of dental hygiene, by finding factors of having influence upon the major satisfaction after surveying satisfaction with major targeting students of the department of dental hygiene. Methods of Study: This investigation was carried out the major satisfaction sharing the satisfaction for school subject by area of course of study, course direction, school environment, studies estimation, social realization using questionnaire from March, 2011 to Dental Hygiene and 342 students of 3 years 3 colleges of Busan area to May, and data analysis was executed descriptive statistics, reliability test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis by using SPSS Version 18.0. Results: The students of Dept. of the Dental Hygiene had 3.09±0.70 points for satisfaction with curriculum, 3.31±0.70 points for course direction, 2.88±0.80 points for school environment, 3.12±0.63 points for studies estimation, 3.54±0.70 points for social realization. Result appeared that class, studies and results, adjustment to academic works, selection motive that examine major satisfaction effect leading person influences. Result appeared that adjustment to academic works of this causes the biggest effect in major satisfaction. Conclusions: This studies have to give interest and change to general factor that considers special quality of class to heighten major satisfaction, and does so that heighten major satisfaction more and more to realistic curriculum operation and re-thesis, and are thought that interest and continuous interview, map must consist well so that reasonable and objective estimation and a student about studies estimation can adapt well in relevant major.
