Purpose – The purposes of this study are to examine the prior images of eco tourism festivals in the Jeju region and investigate their effects on intention to visit. Research Design, data, and methodology –A survey was conducted with native tourists that visited one of six eco tourist destinations in the Jeju region. Collected data was put to descriptive statistics and reliability analysis with the SPSS 21.0 program. Factor analysis was conducted to identify factors of eco tourism festival images, and regression analysis followed to shed light on relations between eco tourism images and intention to visit. Result – The findings show that there were three factors comprising eco tourism festival images including "education," "experience" and "use." Multiple regression analysis was performed to figure out whether the attributes of eco tourism festival images would have impacts on intention to visit. The results reveal that only "education" had significant impacts on it with "experience" and "use" having no significant impacts on it. Conclusions – There is a need to enhance the images of eco tourism festivals for experience and convenient use, but it is also required to change the images of such festivals around educational effects and learning in that education is one of the important image elements that tourists wish to get from eco tourism.

The study is designed to find out how the tourist’ visiting experience to cultural tourism sites for the diversity of tourism in Jeju affects the tourist’s satisfaction and behavioral intentions and to find out how to activate the cultural tourism in Jeju. It is also intended to check out the difference in the relation between tourist satisfaction and behavioral intentions depending on the experience of the visit. The analysis showed the following results; First, there have been the statistically significant differences in the facility satisfaction, attraction satisfaction and service satisfaction between the first visitors and revisitors to the cultural tourism resources. Second, there have been statistically significant differences in the revisit intention and recommendation intention between the first visitors and revisitors to the cultural tourism resources. Based on the study results above, the following implications could be suggested. The results show that the first visitors to Jeju’s cultural tourism resources have higher satisfaction with the service, facility and attractions than revisit tourists do. It shows that as both the first visitors and the revisitors to Jeju have higher revisit rate depending on their attraction satisfaction, it is recommended to discover the tourist attractions which are unique and attractive in Jeju such as Jeju’s own food, clothing and shelter, agricultural culture and language, etc thus attracting more revisitors for the purpose of cultural tourism.

Purpose: Breast reconstruction in patients who have undergone a mastectomy is performed less frequently in Korea than in Western countries. The aim of this study was to investigate the psychosocial problems related to a mastectomy and awareness of reconstruction after a mastectomy in breast cancer survivors. Methods: From March to April 2010, 252 patients who underwent a mastectomy were recruited for this survey. The questionnaire included sociodemographic characteristics of patients, psychosocial problems related to mastectomy, and reasons not to receive breast reconstruction. Results: Patients had difficulty going to a public bath (70.3%) or going to a swimming pool or the beach (74.6%). More than half of patients answered that their physical activity had decreased due to persistent shoulder or arm pain after the mastectomy. The most common psychological problem that patients experienced was distress over the loss of charm as a woman (66.8%), followed by considering themselves disabled (62.0%), and worries about recurrence (59.4%). The most common reason not to receive a breast reconstruction was the high cost of the operation (59.4%), followed by anxiety about complications (46.7%). Only 16.2% of patients reported that they did not receive enough information about reconstruction from their doctor. Of 229 patients, 43.7% would consider undergoing breast reconstruction in the future. Conclusion: Breast cancer survivors who underwent a mastectomy suffered from various psychosocial problems, and high cost was a major reason for not undergoing breast reconstruction. Broader health insurance coverage should be provided for breast reconstruction in breast cancer survivors.
