        In order to achieve stiction-free polysilicon surfaces, we have suggested a new chemical grafting precursor and confirmed their excellent characteristics. When dichlorodimethylsilane(DDS, C_(2)H_(6)SiCl_(2)), a dialkyldichlorosilane widely used in silicon machining, have been used as a precursor, experimental results were clearly comparable to those of monoalkyltrichlorosilanes octadecyltrichlorosilane (OTS, C_(18)H_(37)SiCl_(3)) or 1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluorodecyltrichloro-silane (FDTS, C_(10)H_(4)F_(17)SiCl_(3)) in terms of stiction reduction. The polysilicon cantilevers were fabricated in the carefully controlled conditions and laser interferometer indicated that their residual stress gradient was 2 MPa/μm upward from the substrate. The SEM images of polysilicon cantilever beams with DDS coating are upward and no stiction is observed up to 2 mm in length.

        ISD 모델에 기초한 농업인 안전교육 프로그램 개발

        이 연구의 목적은 ISD 모델에 기초하여 농업인 안전교육 프로그램을 개발하는데 있으며,이를 위해 분석-설계-개발-실행-평가의 다섯 단계로 구성된 개발모형을 설정하였다. 구체적인 프로그램 내용을 개발하기 위해 환경분석,학습자분석,과제분석을 실시하였고,그 결과를 반영하여 ‘안전의식 함양’,‘근골격계질환’,‘농약중독예방’,‘농기계 안전 사용’의 4개 모듈과 10개의 레슨을 설계하였다. 요구분석 및 설계 결과를 바탕으로 농업인 안전교육 프로그램의 교재/보조 자료/매체를 개발하였다. 교재의 경우,학습자용과 강사용을 구분하여 개발하였다. 개발된 프로그램 및 운영체제에 대한 검토 및 보완을 위한 전문가 협의회를 개최하여 프로그램 시연회를 실시한 후 교육프로그램을 수정,보완하였다. 그 후,농작업안전시범마을의 농업인을 대상으로 농업인 안전교육 프로그램을 시험 운영하였고,그 결과를 반영하여 농업인 안전교육 프로그램을 완성하였다. 또한 이상의 프로그램 개발 과정을 통해 나타난 논점을 토대로 향후 교육 프로그램 개발을 위한 시사점을 제공하였다. The purpose of this study was to develop a agricultural safety and health training program based on ISD Model. We set up 5step(Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model for developing the program. After analyzing environment, learner and task, four modules(① Safety and Health Mindset, ② Musculoskeletal System Disorders, ③ Agrichemical Poisoning Prevention, and ③ Using Farm Machines Safely) and 10 lessons were designed. We developed teaching materials and supplement materials for the Agricultural Safety and Health Training Program based on need analysis and program design. Teaching materials consisted of the learner's and instructor's. The developed program was examined by expert groups and the weak points were revised through professional workshop. Finally, we tested the Agricultural Safety and Health Training Program at agricultural safety and health model village and fixed the program by reflecting the test results.

        생분해성 폴리락티드/글리콜리드 미립구를 이용한 재조합 소 성장호르몬(rBST)의 지속성주사제 설계

        In order to develope a sustained release formulation of bovine somatotropin(BST), which has been used to increase the body weight of oxen or the milk production of dairy cows, poly(D,L-lactide-co-glyceride)(PLGA) microspheres were made by W/O/W multiple emulsification method and solvent extraction method. Physical properties including particle size, drug entrapment, drug release, protein denaturation, and in vivo body weight increase in rats were characterized. The size of the microspheres was increased as the molecular weight of PLGA increased. When Span 65 and stearic acid during preparation were added, the size was decreased but the amount of surface protein was increased, resulting in a high loading efficiency, with fast release of BST from the microspheres. Aggregation of fragmentation of BST by SDS-PAGE during microspheres preparation and drug release study was not observed. Body weight of Sprague-Dawley's male rats was significantly increased after subcutaneous administrations of BST-loaded PLGA microspheres. There was a good correlation between in vivo weight gain and vitro release rate of microspheres. PLGA microspheres with a high surface protein ratio could be a good candidate for the sustained delivery of BST.

        Gas-Liquid Chromatography를 이용한 사과 및 배 중의 농약 다성분 잔류분석법

        사과 및 배 시료에서 농약 다성분의 gas chromatography를 이용한 잔류분석법 확립을 위하여 199가지의 농약를 선정 하여 retention time 및 검출기에 따라 ECD 5 그룹 및 NPD 5 그룹의 10개 그룹으로 분류하였다. 시료의 종류에 따른 분석조건을 확립하기 위한 회수율 시험은 농약들의 log P_(ow) 값과 화학적 분류에 따라 총 18개 (ECD 11개, NPD 7개)의 농약을 선정하였다. 예비실험 후 확립된 분석방법에 따라 10개 그룹의 혼합 표준용액으로 사과 및 배에 대한 회수율시험을 행하였다. 그 결과, 총 196가지의 농약의 70%에 해당하는 사과에서 136개, 배에서 133개의 농약들에서 회수율 70에서 120%의 양호한 결과를 나타내었다. 그러나 사과에서 43개, 배에서 45개의 농약들이 70% 미만의 회수율을 보였고, fenvalerate는 120% 이상의 회수율을 나타내었으며, 사과에서 17개 및 배에서 18개의 농약들은 검출이 되지 않았다. 그러나 확립된 분석법은 SOP에 의한 신속하고 수월한 수행으로 농산물 중의 잔류농약을 검출 및 모니터링하는 목적에 적합하다고 사료된다. A rapid analytical method was developed to determine multiple pesticide residues in apples and pears using gas-liquid chromatography (GLC). The samples were extracted with water-miscible solvents and purified by cleanup procedures serially comprising liquid-liquid partition and solid-phase extraction (SPE). Each analyte was separated and determined by a high-resolution GLC equipped with electron-capture detector (ECD) and nitrogen-phosphorous detector (NPD). A total of 196 pesticides, which were previously classified into 5 groups each for ECD and NPD based on their retention behaviors on the capillary column and responses to the detector, were subjected to the recovery experiment. In compliance with the analytical criteria, 70 to 120% of recovery and less than 20% relative standard deviation, the proposed method could be successfully applied to analyze 136 and 133 pesticide residues in apples and pears, respectively, which enabled not only rapid screening but quantitation of the residues. Even though less reliability was resulted from unacceptable recovery range, rest of pesticides including 43 and 45 analytes in apples and pears, could be also detected for their identity. The proposed method, failed to cover 17 and 18 pesticides for apples and pears, which mostly showed high polarity or heat-lability but, could be suitable for fast surveilance or monitoring of fruit harvests.

        비대칭 안모의 치험 2례

        Facial asymmetry can be most distressing for the young child and parents. It can cause functional problems as a result of malocclusion. Classification of facial asymmetry has not been yet well-organized because of its varieties on etiologic factors, involved sites and clinical expressions. Even though, we don’t know its causes definitely. It is generally believed that problems with aberrant pattern of condylar growth are related to facial asymmetry. This is a case report on surgical correction of the patients who had severe facial asymmetry. One patient was diagnosed as condylar hyperplasia and the other was diagnosed as a condylar hypoplasia related to trauma. We performed a simultaneous two-jaw surgery, condylar shaving, inferior border ostectomy of affected mandible in the former case, and a simultaneous two-jaw surgery, reverse-L osteotomy and alloplastic implantation with Biocoral in the latter case. The postoperative results of the two cases were excellent functionally and esthetically.

        <P>D. Lee, S. H. Ko, and co‐workers develop an alternative to rigid ITO transparent conductors. On page 4171, conducting polymer‐assisted nanosoldering of Ag nanowires allows them to develop nanowire percolation networks, which form highly flexible and stretchable transparent conductors. A large area transparent conductor and a flexible touch panel on a non‐flat surface are fabricated, demonstrating the possibility of cost‐effective mass production as well as the applicability of these networks to unconventional, non‐flat surfaces. </P>

      • Room‐Temperature Nanosoldering of a Very Long Metal Nanowire Network by Conducting‐Polymer‐Assisted Joining for a Flexible Touch‐Panel Application

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>As an alternative to the brittle and expensive indium tin oxide (ITO) transparent conductor, a very simple, room‐temperature nanosoldering method of Ag nanowire percolation network is developed with conducting polymer to demonstrate highly flexible and even stretchable transparent conductors. The drying conducting polymer on Ag nanowire percolation network is used as a nanosoldering material inducing strong capillary‐force‐assisted stiction of the nanowires to other nanowires or to the substrate to enhance the electrical conductivity, mechanical stability, and adhesion to the substrate of the nanowire percolation network without the conventional high‐temperature annealing step. Highly bendable Ag nanowire/conducting polymer hybrid films with low sheet resistance and high transmittance are demonstrated on a plastic substrate. The fabricated flexible transparent electrode maintains its conductivity over 20 000 cyclic bends and 5 to 10% stretching. Finally, a large area (A4‐size) transparent conductor and a flexible touch panel on a non‐flat surface are fabricated to demonstrate the possibility of cost‐effective mass production as well as the applicability to the unconventional arbitrary soft surfaces. These results suggest that this is an important step toward producing intelligent and multifunctional soft electric devices as friendly human/electronics interface, and it may ultimately contribute to the applications in wearable computers.</P>

      • Effects of Mutagenesis for Glycosylation Sites of Recombinant Human EPO During Production from Cultured CHO Cell

        Human eryhropoietin (EPO) is acidic glycoprotein hormone that plays key role in hematopoiesis by facilitating differentiation of erythrocyte and formation of hemoglobin (Hb) and is used for the treatment of anemia. Human EPO is consist of 166 amino acids which is modified by three N-glycosylations (24, 38, 83) and single O-glycosylation (126). N-glycosylation is reported to be related to the cellular secretion and activity of EPO. In this study, we examined effects of mutagenesis in glycosylation site of recombinat hEPO for the cellular secretion during production from cultured CHO cell. We produced rhEpo which was cloned by PCR from human liver cDNA (TaKaRa) in cultured CHO cell. Using supernatant of the culture, ELISA assay and western analysis were performed. To estimate biological activity, 20IU of rhuEpo was subcutaneously injected into four ICR mice. After 8 days, HCT level was increased average 13 per cent, RBC was increased ca. 2106//. In disease model Rat (anemia c-kit, WSRC-WS/WS), HCT was increased ca. 12%, RBC was increased ca. 1.6106//. These results suggests that rhEpo we produced has biological activity. To remove glycosylation site by substituting 24, 38, 83, and 126th asparagine (or serine) with glutamic acid, overlapping -extension site-directed mutagenesis was performed. To add novel glycosylation sites, 69, 105th leucine was mutated to asparagine. Mutant EPO construct was transfected into CHO cell. Supernatant of the cell culture was analyzed using ELISA assay with monoclonal anti-EPO antibody (Medac, Germany). Since, several reports for mutagenesis of glycosylation sites showed case-by-case results, we examined both transient expression and stable expression. Addition of novel glycosylation sites resulted no secretion while deletion mutants had little effect except some double deletion mutants (24/83 and 38/83) and triple mutant. We suggest that not single but combination of glycosyl group affect secretion of EPO.

      • Implication of GAP model in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis

        Background: Ley et al. demonstrated simple-to-use GAP model for predicting mortality in IPF patients. We investigated prognosis of IPF patients by each total GAP score. Method: The Korean Interstitial Lung Disease Study Group conducted a national survey to evaluate the clinical, physiological, radiological, and survival characteristics of IPF patients from January 1, 2003 to December 31, 2007. A total of 1,685 IPF patients were enrolled in this study. Among them, 1,262 patients performed pulmonary function test including DLco. Results: Patients were stratified into each total GAP score 0~7; GAP score 0 (n = 26); score 1 (n = 150), score 2 (n = 208); score 3 (n = 376); score 4 (n = 317); score 5 (n = 138); score 6 (n = 39); score 7 (n = 8). Patients with total GAP score zero, and seven were excluded in this analysis due to small number. Increased GAP score and advanced GAP stage were associated with a significantly poor prognosis (p < 0.001). In stage I, total GAP score 3 was significantly lower in survival than 1 or 2 groups (p = 0.027 and 0.022, respectively). Compared with stage II, survival of GAP score 3 was significantly superior than 4 or 5 groups (p = 0.025 and 0.001, respectively). Conclusion: Total GAP score 3 group showed significant difference comparing other score groups and showed eventually similar prognosis of patients with GAP stage II. This means that total GAP score 3 group should be divided from stage I group. Further large studies are needed to determine GAP stage divided with total GAP scores for predicting prognosis of IPF patients.
