        To assess the quality of commercial Sujongkwa, we compared physicochemical and sensory characteristics of commercial Sujongkwa with home-made one. Two different brands of Sujongkwa and home-made one were analyzed for physicochemical (sugar content, pH, acidity, color, viscosity, transparency) and sensory characteristics (7-point scoring test, 18 experienced panel members). Separately, we assessed the opinion of food and nutrition specialists about the commercial Sujongkwa. Questionnaires were hand delivered to 530 subjects consisted of university students and faculties of Department of Food and Nutrition at 8 cities (Seoul, Incheon, Yongin, Daejon, Chungju, Daegu, Kwangju, Busan) in Korea and the complete data of 328 subjects were statistically analyzed using SPSS Program for Window (mean, ANOVA, χ²). The questionnaires were consisted of sociodemographics, frequency and occasion of purchasing, opinion of quality and improvement points. Both commercial Sujongkwas were lower in sugar content, transparency, color(L and b value) and viscosity, and commercial brand B was higher in pH and color a value than home-made one. Also, among sensory characteristics, over-all preference and color for brand B were significantly higher than those for brand A and home-made one (p<0.05). Especially, the scores of over-all preference were 1.9 for brand A, 5.7 for brand B, and 4.9 for home-made Sujongkwa. Points to be improved for commercial Sujongkwa were in order of sweetness (33.0%), pungency (24.2%), dried persimmon (19.1%).

        In shooting competition, the anxiety in competition can have a great effect in the players' records. To improve their record, they chose the group hypnosis. A subject experimented 24 boy and girl students dividing them two groups, one is for this experiment (Male , Female 5), the other for comparison(Male 8, Female 4). they were investigated for three weeks. Dependent variables are the trait of competition anxiety and competition anxiety state which was developed by Martens. Mr. Taek-Yeol Kwon. changed and reinforced them to be suitable for the shooting players. Erickson's hypnosis was used for this investigation.. The experimental group had T-test, seperated before-experiment and after-experiment and comparison group, before and after comparison. Furthermore the experimental group and comparison group had T-test before experiment and before comparison, after experiment and after comparison using the statistic program SPSS-10.0. According to the result in the analysis of the mutual comparison shows that the effect of Erickson's group hypnosis didn't have any statistical differences in anxiety trait, anxiety state abd players' records. Therefore my study reveals that the result of Erickson's group hypnosis for three weeks shows that Erickson's method is needed to dissolve the competition anxiety, improving their record of the shooting players.

        In the literatual study on Holotrichia, the results were obtained as follows ; 1. Holotrichia is larva of Holotrichia diomphalia Bates etc. powder or liquor of Holotrichia is used medically. 2. Appearance of Holotrichia is shape of kidney, yellowish color. 3. The oriental characters of Holotrichia is warm, toxicant, salty. 4. The significant efficancy of Holotrichia is breaking the stagnant blood. 5. Holotrichia can be applied to the diseases related to thrombosis, and recover the demage of liver. 6. Holotrichia avails Liver diseases such as Hepatitis, Liver cirrhosis, Hepatosplenomegaly, Hepatoma etc.

      • 구간 분할 제어를 이용한 형상기억합금 와이어의 온도제어에 관한 연구

        The key technology of robot is the design of the actuator. Particularly breakthroughs of power-to-weight ratio or energy-density III actuator technology have significant impacts upon the design and the control of robotic systems. To realize the anthropomorphic motion, artificial muscles such as shape memory alloy(SMA) and electro active polymer(EAP) are used. These actuators have the higher energy density than the electromechanical actuators such as the electric motor. The EAP has the property of good elasticity, but it is difficult to get the required power. The SMA has the good power density and simple structure, but the control scheme of the actuator is difficult. In this paper, temperature control of SMA wire using segment control is studied. The SMA wire is segmented by thermo-electric module(TEM). To supply constant currents in TEMs, MOSFET is used. Hysteresis in one segment of SMA wire is evaluated. The force and displacement of SMA wire are measured according to the number of segment. The program to control the temperature of TEM is developed by using LabVIEW software.

      • 초음파 이송시스템의 진행파 제어에 관한 연구

        Methods of major transport system used in many industry fields are conveyor belt, magnetic levitation system and indexing system. It is an indispensable device in many fields and especially it is very important in the factory automation. However, the conventional transport system can damage precision optical components by the contact force and destroy the inner structure of semiconductor by the magnetic field. The new transport system for transporting without damage is required and the ultrasonic wave transport system has been proposed to replace the conventional transport system. In this paper. the object transport system using the ultrasonic wave is developed. Traveling waves are generated through the use of the ultrasonic wave generator to two ends of the beam. The modelling equation on steady state response of ultrasonic vibration is expressed through normal mode expansion. Natural frequency of flexural beam is estimated. Transport direction of the object is analyzed according to phase difference and frequency. In addition, it is verified by experiment.

        An eleven year old castrated male Maltese was presented to the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital of Chungnam National University. In physical examination, approximately 0.5 cm round mass was observed on tail base. This small elevated mass has also shown alopecic and firm configuration. It was differentially diagnosed as sebaceous adenoma and hyperplasia by fine needle aspiration. After surgical removal, the sample was diagnosed as sebaceous hyperplasia by histopathological examination. It has not yet shown any signs of recurrence and prognosis has teen good.

        A Taxonomic Review of the Genus Lycocerus (Cantharidae:Coleoptera) in Korea, with a Newly Recorded Species, Lycocerus striatus

        A taxonomic review of the Korean Lycocerus (Cantharidae, Coleoptera) was presented. Through this study, total of four species were found from Korea including a species new to Korea, Lycocerus striatus. We newly provided a key to the Korean Lycocerus species and the distributional map on each species in this study.

      • Nitrogen-doped carbon supported platinum catalyst via direct soft nitriding for high-performance polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Control of doping levels of nitrogen to carbon support plays a key role to enhance the catalytic activity of the Pt/C catalyst toward oxygen reduction reaction. Mass-production of such materials is still challenging issue for the practical use. Here, we demonstrate a facile approach for fabrication of the nitrogen-doped Pt/C catalysts via direct soft nitriding of the Pt/C catalyst. The commercial 40 wt% Pt/C is first physically mixed with urea and then heat-treated at 300 °C, which allowed a massive production of the 6.6 atom% nitrogen-doped Pt/C catalysts without sacrificing the Pt catalysts. The specific activity increases by 46.9% after the thermal treatment, while the particle size and crystallinity of Pt remain similar to those before the thermal treatment. As a result, the fuel cell test showed a notable increase in the current density by 100% and 18.5% at 0.8 V and 0.5 V, respectively, for the membrane electrode assembly employing urea treated Pt/C catalyst. Hence, the soft nitriding by urea offers great promise as a simple, energy-efficient and eco-friendly way in manufacturing the nitrogen-doped Pt/C catalyst for the polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell applications.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> A facile method in preparing N-doped Pt/C is demonstrated via soft nitriding. </LI> <LI> Thermally decomposed urea at 300 °C served as the N doping source. </LI> <LI> 6.6 atom% N-doped Pt/C can be massively produced without sacrificing Pt. </LI> <LI> In acidic condition, the specific activity increases by 46.9% after soft nitriding. </LI> <LI> Cell current density increased by 100% and 18.5% at 0.8 V and 0.5 V, respectively. </LI> </UL> </P>
