본태성 고혈압환자의 혈압과 순환기능의 향상을 위한 적정 운동시간

To determine the minimum duration of exercise for improving the blood pressure and aerobic capacity of 24 patients (16 women and 8 men) with essential hypertension (EHT), aged 56.7±9.9 years, were investigated. After pre-testing, all the patients were conditioned for 4 month in order to elicit improvements in their aerobic capacity and blood pressure. Duration and contents of daily activities were recorded by each patients. After 4 month, systolic (SBP) and diastolic (DBP) pressure were decreased significantly from 150.6±8.6 to 145.7±7.6. 6 and from 94.2±8.2 to 89.8±6.5㎜Hg. Oxygen uptake at lactate threshold (V˙O_2LT) and peak oxygen uptake(V˙O_2peak) were increased significantly from 14.5±2.9 to 16.7±3.3 ml/kg/min and from 19.4±4.0 to 22.5±4.8 ml/kg/min, respectively. Duration of exercise conditioning for the 4-month averaged 22.7±9.1 min per day, ranging from 6.0 to 51.0 min. As a result, blood pressure and aerobic capacity tend to improve markedly when daily exercise duration was 20 min or longer. We suggest that the minimum exercise duration for improving the 1) blood pressure of EHT patients is 20 to 30 min per day (140 min of more per week), 2) aerobic capacity of EHT patients is 30 to 40 min per day (210 min or more per week).
관상동맥 질환자를 위한 cycle ergometer exercise와 treadmill exercise의 적정 운동강도

The purpose of this study was to determine heart rate (HR), ratings of perceived exertion (RPE) and oxygen uptake (Vo2) at the anaerobic threshold (AT) in two different exercise modalities, cycle ergometer and treadmil exercise (running). Subjects were 13 women patients with coronary heart disease. All sub-maximal and maximal Vo2 values but Vo2 at the AT for women were significantly higher in treadmill exercise than cycle ergometer. Submaximal and maximal HR values were not significantly different between the two exercise modalities. However, mean RPE values at the AT were significantly higher in cycle ergometer than treadmill exercise. We suggest that appropriate HR values in exercise training should be the same in cycling and treadmill exercise. while RPE values should be 1 or 2 higher in cycling than running.

A new method using HF solution for direct bonding of two silicon wafers at room temperatyre was developed. The HF bonding was carried out with 1.5% HF solution with 1 Kgf/cm2. The characteristics of the bonded samples were measured under different bonding conditions according to HF concentrations and applied pressure to the samples. With an evaluation of the new bonding method, we confirmed that the method ensures enough strength, air tightness and optical property. An advantage of this method is simplicity of bonding process in comparison with a conventional thermal bonding method. The boned interface and void were analysis by SEM and RARM camera.
고령여성의 태극권 수련과 에어로빅댄스 실시가 기능 체력에 미치는 영향

People are interested in performing enjoyable Tai Chi Chuan to improve physical fitness. However, it is still unknown that with Tai Chi Chuan senior women could enhance health-related fitness as much as other aerobic exercise training. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Tai Chi Chuan and aerobic dance on functional fitness. Thirty five elderly women (21 Tai Chi Chuan group and 14 aerobic dance group) participated in this study. Two group performed 60 min. exercise program a day, two times per week for 2 years or more. Results of this study are as flows 1. Tai Chi Chuan exercise group were significantly improved in lower muscular endurance and balance comapred to aerobic dance exercise group. 2. Aerobic dance exercise group were significantly improved in agility with foot-stepping compared to Tai Chi Chuan exercise group. These results suggest that with consideration of a safe exercise program, a long term Tai Chi Chuan training would be useful to enhance lower muscular endurance and balance in old women.
