      • 요하지통 환자에서 두 개의 캐눌라를 이용한 박동성 고주파 신경근 응고술의 임상 연구

        Dorsal root ganglion(DRG) block by the local anesthetics and steroids which has done classically in low back pain(LBP) patients with radiculopathy has high incidence of recurrence rate and side effects of steroids. Recently a new technique of pulsed radiofrequency thermocoagulation(P-RFTC) was introduced and substituted for it because of the benefits such as relatively low recurrence rate, low risk of nerve injury and comfort during the procedure. We experienced 15 patients who had LBP with radiculopathy and no or little response to epidural steroid injection. When we performed DR ganglionotomy by P- RFTC under the C-arm guide in these patients, we tried to approach the exact DR ganglion using tow cannulas - the one for obtaining patient's subjective symptoms and injection of contrast dye, the other for making a RF lesioning after identifying the impedance of sensory and motor stimulation. In conclusion, DR ganglionotomy by P- RFTC using two cannulas in LBP patients is an easy and safe procedure with satisfactory results.

        수종 한약재가 백혈병 세포에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구

        I am reporting here a syntematic in vitro examination for specificity of anti-cancer effect of several oriental herbs, which have been used frequently for cancer pateints(therapy), on Molt-4 LCL(Lymphoblastoid Cell Line) Leukemic cells in relation to its density and time of incubation. 1. ErOH extract of Jujubae Fructus reduced Molt-4 cell's survival rate effectively after 48 hours' treatment at 1000㎍/㎖'s density and it reduced survival rate of LCL effectively after 12 hours' treatment at 1000㎍/㎖'s density. 2. EtOH extract of Cordyceps reduced LCL's survival rate effectively after 36 hour's treatment at 1000㎍/㎖'s density. 2. EtOH extract of Fici Fructus reduced LCL's survival rate effectively after 36 hours' treatment at 1000㎍/㎖'s density. 4. EtOH extract of Trionycis reduced Molt-4 cell's survival rate even at 500㎍/㎖ density and further effective at 1000㎍/㎖ density after 24 hours treatment and it killed the cells completely at 1000㎍/㎖ density after 48 hours treatment, It also Killed LCL completely after 12 hours and 36 hours' treatment at 1000㎍/㎖'s density. 5. EtOH extract of Biotae Cacumen reduced LCL's survival rate effectively after 12 hours' treatment at 1000㎍/㎖'s density, and after 36 hours treatment it reduced LCL's survival time very effectively. 6. EtOH extract of Psoraleae Fructus reduced Molt-4 cell's survival rate very effectively after 24 hours' treatment at 500㎍/㎖ and 1000㎍/㎖'s density, and after 48 hours' treatment at 250㎍/㎖'s density it reduced effectively and it killed the cell completely at 500㎍/㎖ and 1000㎍/㎖'s density. It also killed LCL completely after 12 hours and 36 hours' treatment at 1000㎍/㎖'s density. I hope to proceed with more advanced experiment in vivo and clinically as for the two kinds of oriental herbs and another herbs effective for leukemia.

      • 마우스에서 오존수의 급여가 쥐와포자충 감염에 미치는 영향

        Ozone is very effective in acute and chronic viral disease as a virucidal agent in reversing positive antibody tests and in improving the general health of the animals. The effects of ozonized water supply against Cryptosporidium muris was studied in 5-weeks-old mice. After oral inoculation of mice with 1×10^6 oocysts, ozonized water(0.5ppm) and tap water were supplied to experimental and control group, respectively. The prepatent period of both group was 8 days postinoculation(PI). The patent period of experimental group was longer(62days) than that of experimental group(57days). The number of oocysts in the feces were maxium on days 28 PI, indicating 3.54×10^6 oocysts/experimental mouse and 5.56×10^6 oocysts/ control mouse. The number of discharge oocysts during 12-33 PI was more in control group than that of experimental group. In the view of gastric gland section on days 28 PI, the number of endogenous development of C muris was smaller in experimental group than in control group. This results indicates that the autoinfected sporozoite were damaged by ozone.

        Pilomatricoma was histopathologically diagnosed in a 2.5-year-old male Alaskan malamute. The patient was referred to Chungnam National University, Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital with solitary, firm and well-circumscribed mass at shoulder. Grossly, the mass was dome shaped to tumor like and 10 x 8 x 5㎝ in size. Some lesions had gritty or bony consistency and was chalky when sectioned Histopathologic feature included mumerous clusters of tightly arranged, basaloid cells with evenly distributed chromatin and ghost cells were characterized by a central unstained zone. The ghost cells often become calcified and osseous metaplasia was also present.

      • 연쇄상구균을 실험감염시킨 넙치치어의 병리조직학적 관찰

        Pathological observations were examined after abdominal inoculation in 7∼8㎝ sized flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) with 1X10^7 cfu/㎖ of Streptococcus faecalis. The infected flounder were clinically observed and weighed a fish body at 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 days post inoculation. In infected group, mortality were 70% and feed efficiency were 7.2%. In non-infected group, mortality were 10% and feed efficiency were 18.2%. Macroscopically, the significant lesions were characterized by protrusions and opacity of the eyes and ulcer of the caudal pecuncle. Histopathologically, the lesions were observed a degeneration. necrosis and inflammatory cells in muscle of the caudal peduncle and a degeneration and necrosis of the rod cells and detached retina from the black pigmented layer

      • 비접촉 3차원 족형 측정 시스템 설계를 위한 Device Driver 설계

        This paper presents a cost-effective integrated 3D system that extracts the 3-dimensional foot data? to design the custom footwear. To measure the 3-dimensional data of the foot, a CCD camera and a Non-Gaussian laser line projector and optical triangulation method are employed. Furthermore, the integrated system employs a measurement base, a frame grabber, a CCD moving cart, a stepping motor and computer. The measurement result is saved as a 3D dxf foot data and a 2D eccensial data for a last design. The experimental results demonstrates that proposed? system have the descent resolution with 1mm which is enough for last and shoe design.

        A 3-month-old, 3.85kg female Jin-do dog with chief complaint of bloody diarrhea and depression was referred to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Chungnam National University. In fecal examination, trophozoites of giardia were observed and It was diagnosed as canine giardiasis. For treatment, metronidazole was administered orally for 5 days at a dose of 22mg/kg q12h. Diarrhea was not observed on 3 days after medication and most of clinical signs were disappeared on 7 days after medication with metronidazole. General conditions and activitivities became good on 13 days after medication. In addition, cysts or trophozoites of giardia were not detected any more in fecal examination using floating method with zinc sulphate solution. The present patient was a case of canine giardiasis that showed favorable response to metronidazole.

      • FFD를 이용한 라스트 데이터 생성 시스템 설계

        This paper presents a 3D last design software that provides the 3-dimensional last data to achieve from the 3-dimensional foot data. The proposed software employes a free form deformation(FFD) with Bezier patch. The deformation factor of the FFD is constructed on the FFD lattice based on the bottom view, lateral view of the measured 3D foot data. In addition, the control points of FFD lattice is decide on the anatomical view of foot. The deformed 3D last result obtained from the proposed FFD is saved as a 3D dxf foot data. The experimental results demonstrates that the proposed? system have the descent 3D last data based on the openGL window.

        시베리안 허스키의 오른 쪽 눈에서 충체를 분리하였다. 충체는 선충으로 크림색-흰색을 띠고 있었으며 양쪽 끝이 가느다랗다. 크기는 수컷이 0.35x11㎜, 암컷은 0.45x15㎜에 달하였다. 암컷은 음문이 식도-장 연접부의 앞에 위치하고, 수컷에는 교접자(spicule)가 있고 항문 앞쪽에 5쌍의 유두가 존재하므로 T callipaeda로 동정하였다. 전단에는 좁은 각질 가로줄무늬가 있으며, 구강 개구부 아래에는 평활한 부분이 있었다. 개구부의 내측 표면에는 여섯 방향의 대칭 구조가 있는데 미발달된 6개의 입술로 여겨진다. 주머니 모양의 한 쌍의 쌍기가 입 바깥쪽에서 관찰되었다. 구강바닥에 있는 식도 내강의 입구는 3각형이었다. 개구부의 바깥 가장자리에서는 4 쌍의 유두가 관찰되었고, 몸통 전체에 걸쳐 각질 가로줄무늬를 볼 수 있었다. 가로줄무늬에는 촘촘한 주름들이 있었으며 이들은 가로줄무늬에 직각으로 배열되어 있었다. 충체의 후단에는 한 쌍의 phasmid가 관찰되었다. 경부유두는 음문 전방에 양측으로 종선의 선상에 위치하며 측선은 충체의 측면으로 주행하였다. 암컷의 경우, 음문은 식도-장 연접부의 앞쪽에 위치했다. 수컷의 경우, 꼬리는 감겨 있으며, 항문은 복측에서 볼 수 있었고, 항문 앞쪽에는 5쌍의 유두가, 항문 뒤쪽에는 2쌍의 유두가 관찰되었다.

      • Structural and optical characteristics of graphene quantum dots size-controlled and well-aligned on a large scale by polystyrene-nanosphere lithography

        <P>Graphene quantum dots (GQDs) are one of the most attractive graphene nanostructures due to their potential optoelectronic device applications, but it is a challenge to accurately control the size and arrangement of GQDs. In this report, we fabricate well-aligned GQDs on a large area by polystyrene (PS)-nanosphere (NS) lithography and study their structural and optical properties. Single-layer graphene grown on a Cu foil by chemical vapour deposition is patterned by reactive ion etching employing aligned PS-NS arrays as an etching mask. The size (d) of the GQDs is controlled from 75 to 23 nm by varying the etching time, as proved by scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. This method is well valid for both rigid/flexible target substrates and even for multilayer graphene formed by piling up single layers. The absorption peak of the GQDs is blue-shifted with respect to that of a graphene sheet, and is sequentially shifted to higher energies by reducing d, consistent with the quantum confinement effect (QCE). The Raman D-to-G band intensity ratio shows an almost monotonic increase with decreasing d, resulting from the dominant contribution of the edge states at the periphery of smaller GQDs. The G-band frequency shows a three-step size-dependence: initial increase, interim saturation, and final decrease with decreasing d, thought to be caused by the competition between the QCE and edge-induced strain effect.</P>
