        고밀도 광 기록 채널을 위한 터보 코드와 터보 등화기를 연접한 데이터 복호 방법

        In this paper, in order to speed up the convergence process and improve the steady mean square error simultaneously, we propose the Stop-and-Go Dual Mode Modified Constant Modulus Algorithm(SAG DM MCMA) for adaptive blind channel equalization of high order QAM. The proposed algorithm is a hybrid scheme of the Modified CMA that treat error signals with real and imaginary components of the equalizer output, the concept of dual mode CMA, and Stop-and-Go algorithm. As a result it can prevent blind equalization from converging to incorrect direction and simultaneously operates reliably for tap weight adaptation. We demonstrate via simulation that the proposed algorithm achieves lower steady state mean square error and residual ISI than the conventional algorithms under high order QAM signals and severe channel environment.

        상사의 역기능 리더십 행동, 선행요인 그리고 결과에 대한 질적 분석

        Paradoxically, leadership has not only positive effects but also negative effects. The purpose of this study is to examine supervisors‘ dysfunctional leadership behaviors, antecedents and results in order to draw HRD implications for protecting organizations and employees from dysfunctional leaders and provide implications for leadership development. A qualitative research method based on semi-organized interviews with 28 employees from S-group was used. The results of this study show that the dysfunctional leadership behaviors were associated with ten behavioral categories: belittling and insulting the subordinates, authoritative and arbitrary behaviors, self-aggrandizement, biased preference for certain personnel, arrogance, micro-managing, inability to change and adapt, discordance between words and actions, over-dependance on supervisor, lack of ethics and values. Dysfunctional leadership behaviors were casually attributed to 'personal traits & experience', 'task characteristics', and 'internal & external environments of the organization'. Finally, the results of supervisor's dysfunctional leadership behaviors on employees and the organizational effects were 'increased turnover rate', 'declining work efficiency', 'collapsing morale', 'retraining innovative thinking', 'passive working culture', 'discouraging organizational vitality', 'discouraging organizational synergy', 'losing loyalty' and 'declining trust on supervisor'. 역설적이지만 리더십에는 드러난 순기능 못지않게 숨겨진 역기능도 많다. 본 연구는 상사의 역기능 리더십의 행동 유형, 선행 요인과 그 결과를 밝혀서 역기능 리더로 인한 조직과 구성원의 피해를 최소화하고, 효과적인 리더십 개발을 위한 HRD 차원의 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 국내 S그룹에 종사하는 구성원 28명을 대상으로 본인의 상사를 통해 직접 경험하였거나, 또는 잘 알고 있는 리더 1인을 상정하여 해당 리더가 보이는 역기능 리더십의 구체적인 행동 특성과 이에 영향을 미치는 선행요인, 그로 인해 조직과 구성원에게 영향을 미치는 부정적 결과에 대한 심층 인터뷰 기반의 질적 연구를 수행하였다. 연구결과 상사의 역기능 리더십 행동으로는 ‘비인격적인 비난과 모욕행위’, ‘권위주의적․독단적 행동’, ‘자기 권한 강화’, ‘편향적 인력선호와 활용’, ‘지나친 자기과신’, ‘과도한 관리와 통제’, ‘변화에 대한 저항’, ‘언행 불일치’, ‘상사에 대한 지나친 의존’, ‘비윤리적 행동’ 등이 공통적으로 밝혀졌다. 역기능 리더십 행동에 영향을 미치는 선행요인으로는 ‘개인의 성향과 경험’, ‘과업 특성’, 그리고 ‘조직 내․외부 환경’ 등으로 확인되었다. 그리고 상사의 역기능 리더십 행동이 조직 구성원에게 미치는 부정적인 결과는 ‘이직 증가’, ‘업무 효율성 저하와 자원낭비’, ‘업무 의욕 저하’, ‘혁신적 사고 제한’, ‘소극적이고 수동적인 조직문화’, ‘조직 활력 저하’, ‘조직 시너지 저하’, ‘애사심 저하’, ‘상사에 대한 신뢰 저하’ 등으로 조사되었다.

        A Study of Electrodes for Thermoelectric Oxides

        Oxide module studies for thermoelectric energy harvesting at a high temperature were performed in this study. Considering the degradation of the electrode properties by oxidation at normal operating temperatures in air,a silver electrode (Ag) was selected for use in this study. Two types of contact problems causing a severe loss in electrical power generation were investigated: potential barriers at the interfaces, and inter-diffusion problems. Also, two types of thermoelectric modules were fabricated using Ag electrodes: a module with n-type CaMnO3 and p-type Ca3Co4O9 oxides and another module with n-type (ZnO)7In2O3 and p-type Ca3Co4O9oxides. The measured power density values were compared with the values calculated from the materials properties.

        저산소 환경의 지구성 운동이 근육 위성세포의 활성 및 증식에 미치는 효과

        PURPOSE: This study was performed to investigate the effect of hypoxia in conjugation with endurance exercise training on skeletal muscle satellite cell activity in rats. METHODS: Sprague-Dawley rats (20 weeks, N=21) were randomly divided into Control (Con, n=7), normoxia exercise (NE, n=7), and hypoxia exercise (HE, n=7) groups. Exercise training was performed on a rodent treadmill at a frequency of 5 days/week for 4 weeks, with gradual increases in exercise intensity. The rats were sacrificed 48 hours following the last exercise session. We conducted immunohistochemistry and western-blot for evaluating satellite cell cycle in phenotype and protein levels. RESULTS: Any groups did not increase body weight, muscle weight and cross-sectional area were not increased in any groups after 4 weeks (p>.05). Satellite cell proliferation improved in NE (p=.001) and HE (p<.001) groups. NE (p=.028) and HE (p<.001) groups significantly increased the number of centrally-located myonucei compared to Con. CONCLUSIONS: Treadmill exercise can induce satellite cell proliferation and differentiation regardless of oxygen partial pressure in the air, and increasing muscle metabolism efficiency is expected through muscle remodeling by satellite cell activation.

        An Analysis of the Performance Determinants of Modern Pentathlon Athletes in Laser-run, A Newly-Combined Event in Modern Pentathlon

        PURPOSE: Modern pentathlon, a combined athletic event, where final scores represent the aggregate of scores from swimming, fencing, horseback riding, and laser-run (running and shooting combined), requires participating athletes to have a wide range of athletic prowess, including cardiovascular endurance, agility, muscle power, and muscle strength. Thus, this study analyzed the predominant determinants of athletic performance in the new laser-run event by comparing elite and non-elite athletes. METHODS: Athletes were divided into two groups, elite athletes (n=7, 19.33±0.52 years, BMI=22.18±0.59) and non-elite athletes (n=7, 19.33±0.82 years, BIM=22.27±1.1). For each athlete, a range of metabolic parameters were measured with a wireless respiratory gas analyzer during conducting laser-run. We also determined the overall performance in the laser-run event, including shooting time, accuracy, delay per shooting attempt, and running speed for each phase. RESULTS: The elite group took significantly less time to complete the event than the non-elite group (11”47’13, and 12”20’17, respectively; p=.015). Data revealed that even in shooting and running, most elements have an association with athletic performance, but running time and speed during each phase and overall showed a significant difference between groups (p<.05). CONCLUSIONS: Our data indicate that determining factors in the shooting and running phase have a close relationship with overall event performance. However, running time and speed during the running phase rather than the shooting phase were identified as being the most important determinants. Thus, reducing the time lapse during the running phase by improving cardiovascular endurance and endurance exercise capacity is highly recommended.
