        지역문화교육을 위한 지명유래 전설의 스토리텔링 사례 연구 : 인천 검단 여래마을을 중심으로

        스토리텔링은 학생들이 창의력과 상상력을 발휘하여 텍스트화할 수 있는 교육적 도구이다. 그러므로 스토리텔링은 교육차원에서 학생들의 사고체계를 유연하고 역동적으로 전환시킬 수 있는 모토로 작용을 할 수 있다. 그러나 우리의 일상 주변에 다양한 이야기 소재들이 도처에 널려 있음에도 불구하고, 교육적 차원에서 스토리텔링을 학습에 적용하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 지역의 애향심을 고취시키는데 일조를 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 지역문화 교육을 위하여 지명 유래 전설을 스토리텔링함으로써 지역문화 정체성을 함양할 수 있는 방안을 모색하고자 했다. 이를 위해 인천 검단지역의 지역문화 이야기 소재를 토비아스(1993)의 20가지 플롯에 적용하여 스토리텔링 하는 일련의 과정들을 논의하였다. 스토리텔링 단계는 크게 1) 원형조사, 2) 플롯구성, 3) 이야기 재생산의 세단계로 구분할 수 있다. 1단계 원형조사는 스토리텔링을 하고자 하는 대상선정, 문헌조사, 현지조사, 가치 대상 분석이다. 2단계 플롯구성은 주제 및 제목, 장르, 시점을 설정하는 단계이며, 메인플롯과 서브플롯을 정한다. 마지막 단계는 1단계와 2단계 과정을 거쳐 스토리텔링을 한다. 이러한 과정을 통해 본 연구에서는 서구 검단의 지역문화 중 마전동 여래부락의 지명유래 이야기를 토대로 스토리텔링 단계의 실질적인 예시를 보여준다. 이와 같이 지역의 지명유래 전설을 소재로 한 스토리텔링은 지역문화에 대한 이해를 향상 시킬 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 또한. 이 방법은 교육적인 차원에서 지역의 향토문화를 원형조사의 단계에서 현장 체험을 통해 체득한 지식을 바탕으로 지역문화에 대한 이해를 높일 수 있고, 플롯 구성과 이야기 재생산의 단계를 통해 창의적이면서 체계적인 이야기 구성 능력과 글쓰기 능력의 신장을 기대할 수 있다. 또한 본 연구는 스토리텔링 활동을 통해 지역학습자들이 지역문화 정체성을 함양할 수 있는 계기를 제공하는 점에서 의의가 있다. This study aims to find a way of initiative and self-directed education on the regional culture. With this intention to the regional cultural education, this study argues to use a process of storytelling applied local culture like tradition or legend on the origin of the name of the place as its learning resources. In detail, this study discusses and proposes an educational process to dig sources of tales and statements on local culture, to apply them to 20 plots that Ronald B. Tobias proposed in 1993, and then to make them story-told. There are 3 steps in the storytelling course: 1) searching archetypes 2) composing plots 3) reproduction story (storytelling). Through with this process, this study takes an actual example about the origin of the name around the Yeorae village, Majeon-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon. In short, this argument is to make stories that take interest of community and its people in regional cultural education course, bring its tradition to the present time so make the local culture alive and more close to its people. The storytelling course is presented with an intention of encouraging its learners―especially the residents and students in the region―with their creative activities in well-organized system of local cultural education.

        In MMDBS, transaction processing is run in main memory but, the creation of backup database for recovery needs to access disk. Disk access of recovery manager influences on the performance of MMDBS. Recovery technique to enhance overall performance of MMDBS have to be developed considerately. This paper suggests recovery technique to improve the performance of MMDBS through overhead reduction and improvement of transaction throughput and shows implementation of the suggested tdchnique in real MMDBS. Recovery technique consists of logging, checkpoint, reloading and redoing steps. This system is developed under Client/Server environments which are generally configured recently.

      • 동일한 혈관 내에 발생한 이식형 약제 주입기 카테터의 위치이상

        저자들은 56세 여성 환자의 왼쪽 쇄골 하 정맥에 시행한 이식형 약제주입기 카테터의 삽입 후 발생한 비정상 위치에 대한 증례를 보고하고자 한다. 카테터의 끝은 환자의 늘 어진 가슴, 체위, 신체의 움직임, 카테터의 유동성 등의 영향으로 천자된 정맥 내에서 견인되고 뒤쪽으로 이동하였다. 환자는 어떠한 증상도 호소하지 않았지만 비정상 위치의 카테터는 심각한 합병증을 유발할 수 있기 때문에 제거되었다. 따라서 시술자는 약제주입기 삽입 전에 환자의 신체 상태와 단순 흉부 촬영상을 확인하고 카테터의 비정상 위치가 발생할 수 있는 위험 징후를 알아차려야 하겠다.

      • 이미지 데이터베이스를 위한 정보 검색 시스템의 설계 및 구현

        This paper presents design and implementation of an information retrieval system for a large volue of an image database. Our system supports three kinds of queries: attribute-based queries, keyword-based queries, and color-based queries. The attribute-based query is the most-typical query that finds target images based on their attribute values. The keyword-based query is to find target images by referring to their description information their attribute values. Finally, the color-based query is to search for target images by comparing the colors of a query image with those of images in the database. In this paper, we presents the system architecture and approaches adopted in our system for supporting the above three queries effectively and efficiently. We also discuss the user interface of our system that enables users to manipulate our system easily and conveniently.

        The systematic study on the direct partial reduction of carboxylic acids to the corresponding aldehydes with thexylbromoborane-methyl sulfide under the practical conditions (carbon disulfide, room temperature) has been done and also some representative carboxylic acids have been applied to the partial reduction under the optimal reaction condition. The reaction is quite general and the yields of aldehydes are very excellent, especially almost quantitative in aliphaticcarboxylic acids.

      • Anisotropic Terahertz Emission from Bi <sub>2</sub> Se <sub>3</sub> Thin Films with Inclined Crystal Planes

        <P>We investigate the surface states of topological insulator (TI) Bi<SUB>2</SUB>Se<SUB>3</SUB> thin films grown on Si nanocrystals and Al<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> substrates by using terahertz (THz) emission spectroscopy. Compared to bulk crystalline Bi<SUB>2</SUB>Te<SUB>2</SUB>Se, film TIs exhibit distinct behaviors in the phase and amplitude of emitted THz radiation. In particular, Bi<SUB>2</SUB>Se<SUB>3</SUB> grown on Al<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> shows an anisotropic response with a strong modulation of the THz signal in its phase. From x-ray diffraction, we find that the crystal plane of the Bi<SUB>2</SUB>Se<SUB>3</SUB> films is inclined with respect to the plane of the Al<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> substrate by about 0.27°. This structural anisotropy affects the dynamics of photocarriers and hence leads to the observed anisotropic response in the THz emission. Such relevance demonstrates that THz emission spectroscopy can be a sensitive tool to investigate the fine details of the surface crystallography and electrostatics of thin film TIs.</P>

      • Association of vitamin D concentrations with adiposity indices among preadolescent children in Korea

        <P>Background and Objective: We aimed to investigate the association between serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) and anthropometric indicators of adiposity among Korean preadolescent children aged 7?9 years. Subjects and Methods: Children aged 7 to 9 from the Ewha Birth & Growth Cohort were followed up from July to August 2011. Serum 25(OH)D concentration was measured using radio immunoassay. We assessed the magnitude of cross-sectional association with vitamin D concentrations and indicators of adiposity [body mass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC), mid-arm circumference (MAC), body fat mass (BFM), percent body fat (PBF), and triceps skinfold thickness (TSF)] using multiple linear and logistic regression analyses adjusted for sex, age, birth order, maternal education, and fruit/fruit juice intake. Results: Thirty-two (16%) out of a total of 205 children showed an optimal level of serum 25(OH)D, but most children did not reach a sufficient level (<30 ng/mL) even in summer. The level of 25(OH)D was inversely associated with BMI (β=?0.10, p<0.01), WC (β=?0.28, p<0.01), and BFM (β=?0.12, p=0.02) after adjusting for confounding factors and showed marginal boundary with PBF (β=?0.20, p=0.06) and TSF (β=?0.11, p=0.08). Regarding the risk of overweight, a 13% protective effect per 1 ng/mL increase of 25(OH)D was shown even after adjusting for relevant confounding factors (adjusted odds ratio=0.87, 95% confidence interval 0.78?0.98). Conclusions: We found that the 25(OH)D concentrations were inversely associated with adiposity indices in preadolescent children. This study suggests that adequate vitamin D intake in growing children is crucial to maintain an optimal vitamin D level to prevent obesity and obesity-related health problems later in life.</P>

        Monte Carlo Simulation of Phytosanitary Irradiation Treatment for Mangosteen Using MRI-based Geometry

        Purpose: Phytosanitary irradiation treatment can effectively control regulated pests while maintaining produce quality. The objective of this study was to establish the best irradiation treatment for mangosteen, a popular tropical fruit, using a Monte Carlo simulation. Methods: Magnetic resonance image (MRI) data were used to generate a 3-D geometry to simulate dose distributions in a mangosteen using a radiation transport code (MCNP5). Microsoft Excel with visual basic application (VBA) was used to divide the image data into seed, flesh, and rind. Radiation energies used for the simulation were 10 MeV (high-energy) and 1.35 MeV (low-energy) for the electron beam, 5 MeV for X-rays, and 1.25 MeV for gamma rays from Co-60. Results: At 5 MeV X-rays and 1.25 MeV gamma rays, all areas (seeds, flesh, and rind) were irradiated ranging from 0.3 ~ 0.7 kGy. The average doses decreased as the number of fruit increased. For a 10 MeV electron beam, the dose distribution was biased: the dose for the rind where the electrons entered was $0.45{\pm}0.03$ kGy and the other side was $0.24 {\pm}0.10$ kGy. Use of an electron kinetic energy absorber improved the dose distribution in mangosteens. For the 1.35 MeV electron beam, the dose was shown only in the rind on the irradiated side; no significant dose was found in the flesh or seeds. One rotation of the fruit while in front of the beam improved the dose distribution around the entire rind. Conclusion: These results are invaluable for determining the ideal irradiation conditions for phytosanitary irradiation treatment of tropical fruit.
