        A Tripartite Game Strategy to Promote the Commercialization of Research Results: A Synergistic Development Path Between Universities, Government, and Enterprises

        Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to explore the tripartite relationship between the government, universities, and enterprises in the process of improving China’s innovation index. We hope to gain an in-depth understanding of the dynamic game process among these three, and how various factors affect the way they cooperate in this process. Design/Methodology/Approach – Based on evolutionary game theory as a research tool, we constructed a tripartite evolutionary game model of universities, government, and commercial institutions, and analyzed the stability of each party's strategic choices and the relationship between the influence of each element. Findings – By simulating strategy combinations and the evolution process in different contexts, we derived the conditions for the occurrence of stable strategy combinations among universities, governments, and business organizations. Through the above study, we found that stable strategy combinations among government, universities, and enterprises are crucial in promoting the development of China’s innovation index. Research Implications – This study has important theoretical significance for understanding the dynamic relationship among government, universities, and firms, and also provides practical guidance for policy makers. Through this study, policy makers can have a clearer understanding of the needs and interests of each party, so that they can formulate more effective policies to promote the development of innovation activities.

      • Effect of Antrodia camphorata polysaccharides on letrozole-induced polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) model rats

        To investigate the effect of ACP on letrozole-induced PCOS rats. All rats were divided into normal groups, PCOS group, metformin group and ACP group. The body weight (BW) was recorded every three days, and the final body weight as well as ovarian weight were recorded. Serum levels of TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C and E2, T, FSH and LH were measured by ELISA assay, and the LH/FSH ratio was calculated. The results showed that ACP decreased the BW and the ratio of ovarian to BW. Compared with the normal group, the serum levels of T, LH, LH/FSH, TG, TC, LDL-C increased, and the levels of FSH, E2, HDL-C decreased in PCOS group. ACP effectively improves the serum levels of FSH, LH/FSH, TG, TC, LDL-C and other related factors. The results of H&E staining of ovarian tissues showed that the ACP group showed different degrees of improvement in the reduced number of corpus luteum, thinning of granulosa cell layer, follicular capsular dilatation and follicular atresia. ACP not only reduces BW and the ratio of ovarian to BW, but also it can elevate the level of FSH and reduce LH/FSH, TG, TC and HDL-C levels. Furthermore, ACP can protect ovarian tissue to some extent.

      • Protective effect of centaureidin-3,5-O-biglucoside (C3G) on 5-fluorouracil(5-FU)-induced mucositis in BALB/c mice

        To explore the effect of C3G on intestinal mucosal injury in 5-FU induced BALB/c mice. Mice were randomly divided into normal, model and C3G groups. After the last administration, mice were anesthetized, and calculated the thymus and spleen indexes. The ileum was used to stain with H&E observation. Serum levels of IL-1β, IL-6, IL-10 and TNF-α were determined by ELISA kits. Compared with the normal group, the model group had diarrhea, body weight and thymus and spleen index decreased significantly, intestinal villus epithelial cells fell off, crypt structure was destroyed, and inflammatory cell infiltration was observed. The body weight, thymus and spleen indexes of the treatment group and the prevention group decreased less, and the levels of TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6 were significantly decreased, and the level of IL-10 was significantly increased relative to the model group. The intestinal villi structure was relatively complete, and a small amount of crypt structure was destroyed, with a small amount of inflammatory cell infiltration, which reduced the mucosal damage. The administration of C3G could protect intestinal mucosa from 5-FU-induced injury.

        LncRNA TMPO-AS1 promotes esophageal squamous cell carcinoma progression by forming biomolecular condensates with FUS and p300 to regulate TMPO transcription

        Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is one of the most life- and health-threatening malignant diseases worldwide, especially in China. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have emerged as important regulators of tumorigenesis and tumor progression. However, the roles and mechanisms of lncRNAs in ESCC require further exploration. Here, in combination with a small interfering RNA (siRNA) library targeting specific lncRNAs, we performed MTS and Transwell assays to screen functional lncRNAs that were overexpressed in ESCC. TMPO-AS1 expression was significantly upregulated in ESCC tumor samples, with higher TMPOAS1 expression positively correlated with shorter overall survival times. In vitro and in vivo functional experiments revealed that TMPO-AS1 promotes the proliferation and metastasis of ESCC cells. Mechanistically, TMPO-AS1 bound to fused in sarcoma (FUS) and recruited p300 to the TMPO promoter, forming biomolecular condensates in situ to activate TMPO transcription in cis by increasing the acetylation of histone H3 lysine 27 (H3K27ac). Targeting TMPO-AS1 led to impaired ESCC tumor growth in a patient-derived xenograft (PDX) model. We found that TMPO-AS1 is required for cell proliferation and metastasis in ESCC by promoting the expression of TMPO, and both TMPO-AS1 and TMPO might be potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets in ESCC.

        Analysis of Subsynchronous Oscillation of Direct Drive PMSG Based Wind Farm Under Low Operating Condition

        Aiming at the sub-synchronous oscillation (SSO) problem that direct-drive permanent magnetic synchronous generator (PMSG) based wind farm under low operating conditions connects to the grid, based on the idea of graphical block modeing, the wind turbine generation (WTG), collector circuit and grid are regarded as discrete components. On the basis of establishing detailed models of each component, two linearized models of direct-drive PMSG based wind farm under different collector circuit topological structure is constructed. Wind farm impedance model is constructed based on state space equation of linearized model. The infl uences of current inner loop control parameters, grid strength, operating conditions on SSO characteristics are analysed. The diff erence between the two models in the study of SSO is compared. Finally, a time-domain simulation model of direct drive PMSG based wind farm connected to grid is built in EMTDC/PSCAD and the validity of the theoretical analysis is verifi ed.

        Metrological performance investigation of swirl flowmeter affected by vortex inflow

        In fluid transportation industries, long straight transition pipelines upstream of flowmeters are required to eliminate the influence of disturbed inflow on flow metering accuracy. To ensure an accurate flow measurement, the straight transition pipeline, which is often lengthy, can be shortened, particularly when the installation space is limited. However, the characteristics of disturbed flow (mainly characterized by vortex inflow) evolving along the straight transition pipeline to affect the metrological performance must be investigated for optimizing the pipeline length. The objective of this study was to investigate the metrological performance of a swirl flowmeter affected by the vortex inflow caused by flow regulation with a sleeve valve. The effect of a straight transition pipeline length upstream of a swirl flowmeter on the evolving characteristics of the vortex inflow was investigated experimentally and by conducting a numerical simulation under flow regulation parameters, including valve openings and flow velocities. The flow coefficients for different straight transition pipeline lengths were investigated to verify the flow simulation. The periodic pressure variation in the swirl flowmeter was monitored and its corresponding characteristic frequency was analyzed. It was found that the metrological characteristics of the swirl flowmeter were extremely affected by a smaller valve opening, which can be improved by lengthening the straight transition pipeline. By analyzing the velocity vector and vorticity in the internal flow field, the vortex inflow was found to be vulnerable to dissipation within a longer straight transition pipeline. The average vorticity at the cross-section of the entrance to the swirl flowmeter was adopted to evaluate the inflow vortex intensity. Additionally, a power curve model was established to assess the critical characteristic frequency determined by the maximum unaffected inflow vorticity for different straight transition pipeline lengths. This study can provide helpful insights to the metrological performance and pipeline arrangement in the field of fluid transportation engineering.

        In vitro stability evaluation of coated lipase

        Objective: The study was conducted to evaluate the stability of commercial coated lipase (CT-LIP) in vitro. Methods: The capsules were tested under different conditions with a range of temperature, pH, dry heat treatment and steaming treatment, simulated gastric fluid (SGF) and simulated intestinal fluid (SIF) in this work, respectively. Free lipase (uncoated lipase, UC-LIP) was the control group. Lipase relative activities measured in various treatments were used as a reference frame to characterize the stability. Results: The lipase activities were decreased with increasing temperatures (p<0.05), and there was a markedly decline (p<0.01) in lipase comparative activities of UC-LIP at $80^{\circ}C$ compared with CT-LIP group. Higher relative activities of lipase were observed in CT-LIP group compared with the free one under acidic ambient (pH 3 to 7) and an alkaline medium (pH 8 to 12). Residual lipase activities of CT-LIP group were increased (p<0.05) by 5.67% and 35.60% in dry heat and hydrothermal treatments, respectively. The lipase relative activity profile of CT-LIP was raised at first and dropped subsequently (p<0.05) compared with constantly reduced tendency of UC-LIP exposed to both SGF and SIF. Conclusion: The results suggest that the CT-LIP possesses relatively higher stability in comparison with the UC-LIP in vitro. The CT-LIP could retain the potential property to provide sustained release of lipase and thus improved its bioavailability in the gastrointestinal tract.

        A Mutation in <i>PGM2</i> Causing Inefficient Galactose Metabolism in the Probiotic Yeast <i>Saccharomyces boulardii</i>

        <P>IMPORTANCE Saccharomyces boulardii is a probiotic yeast strain capable of preventing and treating diarrheal diseases. However, the genetics and metabolism of this yeast are largely unexplored. In particular, molecular mechanisms underlying the inefficient galactose metabolism of S. boulardii remain unknown. Our study reports that a point mutation in PGM2, which codes for phosphoglucomutase, is responsible for inferior galactose utilization by S. boulardii. After correction of the mutated PGM2 via genome editing, the resulting strain was able to use galactose faster than a parental strain. While the PGM2 mutation made the yeast use galactose slowly, investigation of the genomic sequencing data of other S. boulardii strains revealed that the PGM2 mutation is evolutionarily conserved. Interestingly, the PGM2 mutation was beneficial for growth at a higher temperature on glucose. We speculate that the PGM2 mutation was enriched due to selection of S. boulardii in the natural habitat (sugar-rich fruits in tropical areas).</P>

        Impact of DFIG-Based WTs on Subsynchronous Oscillation Damping of SG Based on the Net Electrical Damping Method

        Subsynchronous oscillations (SSOs) induced during the generation of wind power constitute an important problem that aff ects the safety and the stability of power systems. It is useful to study the impact of wind turbines on the damping of the SSOs of a synchronous generator (SG). On the one hand, the relevant studies have been based mainly on eigenvalue analysis, which is insuffi cient, and on the other, an examination of the general mechanism of the SSO is still lacking. Based on the net electrical damping analysis method, this paper examines the dynamic interaction between the SG and doubly fed induction generator-based wind turbines (DFIGs). The self-stabilizing damping coeffi cient and the mutually stabilizing damping coeffi cient are proposed from the perspective of the SG, and the eff ects of diff erent numbers and current loop control parameters of the DFIGs on torsional modes of the SG are analyzed using diff erent grid structures. A time-domain simulation model of DFIGs connected to a power grid is built in EMTDC/PSCAD to verify the correctness of the theoretical analysis.

        Lignin Based Flexible Electromagnetic Shielding PU Synergized with Graphite

        In this paper, lignin (L)-based polyurethane (FeGLPU) with excellent electromagnetic shielding properties wasprepared and studied. The modified reduced iron powder was modified with KH550, and then the obtained modified reducediron powder (Fe) was mixed with lignin, polyethylene glycol 200 (PEG200), hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI) and graphite(G) to in-situ synthesize the FeGLPU. The thermal stability, mechanical properties, electronic conductivity, and morphologyof the composite FeGLPU were characterized in detail. The electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness (EMI SE) ofFeGLPU was tested in the frequency range of 8.2-26.5 GHz. When the content of Fe and G was fixed at 10 % and the lignincontent was 5 %, the maximum EMI SE was 21.6 dB, and the frequency width of EMI SE greater than 10 dB was 18.3 GHz. The conductivity was 4.27×10-4 S/m, and the tensile strength of Fe10G10L5PU reached 11.7 MPa. When the lignin contentincreased to be 20 %, the maximum EMI SE was 22.5 dB, and the frequency width of EMI SE greater than 10 dB was18.3 GHz. The conductivity was 1.06×10-2 S/m, and the thermal decomposition temperature T5 (5 % weight loss) reached234 °C. The obtained excellent EMI SE should be due to the synergistic effect of Fe, G and lignin. It can be observed fromthe SEM observation that the G and Fe are uniformly dispersed in PU matrix with strong interfacial interaction. It wasillustrated that the prepared FeGLPU was with efficient electromagnetic shielding properties, good mechanical properties,and high thermal stability. This lignin based electromagnetic shielding PU was proposed to have broad application prospectsdue to its low expenses and ecology friendliness.
