This paper presents a new flexible method referring to coupling response surface methodology (CRSM) to acquire optimum cutting parameters in machining of difficult-to-cut titanium alloy under minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) condition. Cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut are designed as three factors by using the Taguchi method, which are also subject to several constraints including processing efficiency, cutting force and surface quality. In addition, turning experiments of titanium alloy were performed in order to set up the model based on Taguchi experimental design and multiple regression method. ANOVA was carried out to prove the adequacy of the developed mathematical model and the influences of cutting parameters on constraints were also observed. The results indicated that the feed rate was the dominant factor affecting surface roughness and cutting forces, which were minimized when the feed rate and depth of cut were set to the lowest level, while cutting speed was set to the highest level. Moreover, the predicted values obtained by CRSM were in good agreement with the experimental values, which indicated that CRSM was an effective method to determine optimum cutting conditions for machining process under MQL condition.

Using textual information regarding innovation in the annual reports of Chinese listed firms for the period from 2007 to 2019, we examine how firms alter their innovation activities in response to the tone of peer firms’ discussions of innovation in their annual reports (“innovation tone”). We find that a positive innovation tone in peer firms’ annual reports results in a significant reduction in R&D investments by the focal firm, especially when such a tone pertains to the future. Our cross-sectional analyses show that peers’ innovation tone strongly affects R&D investments when the focal firm operates in a non-high-tech or highly competitive industry, or is readily willing to adjust its innovation strategy. Further investigation shows that the marginal benefits of a focal firm’s R&D investments decline when annual peer reports adopt relatively positive innovation tones. Our results enrich the literature on the peer effects of textual information on innovation and have implications for firms’ innovation strategies.

The research object of this paper is carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic composite CF/PEEK. Through control planning of robot motion, simulation and experiment on Paving pressure and paving speed are carried out, and on this basis analysis and optimization are carried out. In the analysis of laying pressure, the deformation of rigid press roll and flexible press roll under different pressures is analyzed by finite element simulation. According to the laying experiment, it is certain that the flexible press roll can obtain better laying quality when laying; different pressures are selected to lay the tow. The laying range of these pressures is determined as 50–250 N according to the quality of the tow. In the temperature experiment, the temperature change of the tow in different layers under different laying speeds is analyzed. Through the experiment, it is found that there is a strong correlation between the laying speed and the laying temperature. The experiment also found that under a certain laying speed, selecting the corresponding heating temperature range can obtain higher laying quality and that selecting appropriate paving process parameters, conducting paving tests, and conducting trajectory planning based on the process can effectively reduce paving defects. Finally, in order to solve the problem of path planning for thin-wall structure carbon fiber placement, a natural path algorithm based on Laplace smoothing is proposed. The algorithm obtains the grid surface through the discretization of the thin-walled surface structure, smooths the grid using the Laplace method, and uses the natural path method to obtain the trajectory. At the same time, the algorithm also considers the layout path boundary and layer design, etc. The problem is to complete the trajectory planning through the fiber path assisted generation software and compare the trajectory points with the traditional surface mesh method to verify the rationality of the trajectory algorithm.

The genetic basis of metabolic pathways that operate during fruit ripening needs to be understood before the nutritional value of the banana can be improved. The banana is a typical starch conversion fruit, and β-amylase is a key enzyme that may play an important role in starch degradation during the ripening process. Musa acuminata β-amylase 9b (MaBAM9b) is closely related to starch degradation. However, its exact function in starch degradation has not been demonstrated in banana. Stable genetic transformation to identify gene function is a time- and energy-consuming process. Thus, an efficient and rapid method is needed for functional identification. Virus-induced gene silencing (VIGS) is a reverse-genetics method based on RNA-mediated antiviral plant defense that has been used to rapidly identify gene functions in plants. The aim of this study was to optimize a transient VIGS system and functionally elucidate MaBAM9b in postharvest banana fruit. Using 2- to 4-mm-thick fruit slices, vacuum infiltration of suspensions of Agrobacterium strains carrying TRV1 and TRV2-MaBAM9b, 0.5% iodine-potassium-iodide (I2-KI) staining for 150 s, and 1:3 TRV1:TRV2-MaBAM9b cultivation at 30 mmHg for 30 s achieved an optical density (OD) of 0.8 at 600 nm; after being incubated on Murashige and Skoog (MS) media for 5 days (d), starch degradation was efficiently suppressed during postharvest banana fruit ripening, as determined by I2-KI staining, total starch content, β-amylase activity, soluble sugar content, and endogenous MaBAM9b expression. The system described here is particularly useful for studying genes and networks involved in starch conversion in fruits, which alone would not produce a visual phenotype. This system will provide a platform for functional genomics and fruit quality improvement in banana.

In the context of mass customization, to address the issues about method based on Constraint Satisfaction Problem (CSP) in the field of product configuration, a combined product configuration method based on the CSP and Bayesian Network (BN) is proposed in this paper. On the basis of CSP and BN theory, a product configuration model established based on CSP and BN, and the specific method for solving was given, Including the reasoning on posterior probability by establishing the Bayesian Network model and the reasoning on Constraint Satisfaction Problem. Finally, to assemble the computer as an example, a configuration system of assembly computer product is developed so as to verify the feasibility and effectiveness.

To investigate the effect of ACP on letrozole-induced PCOS rats. All rats were divided into normal groups, PCOS group, metformin group and ACP group. The body weight (BW) was recorded every three days, and the final body weight as well as ovarian weight were recorded. Serum levels of TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C and E2, T, FSH and LH were measured by ELISA assay, and the LH/FSH ratio was calculated. The results showed that ACP decreased the BW and the ratio of ovarian to BW. Compared with the normal group, the serum levels of T, LH, LH/FSH, TG, TC, LDL-C increased, and the levels of FSH, E2, HDL-C decreased in PCOS group. ACP effectively improves the serum levels of FSH, LH/FSH, TG, TC, LDL-C and other related factors. The results of H&E staining of ovarian tissues showed that the ACP group showed different degrees of improvement in the reduced number of corpus luteum, thinning of granulosa cell layer, follicular capsular dilatation and follicular atresia. ACP not only reduces BW and the ratio of ovarian to BW, but also it can elevate the level of FSH and reduce LH/FSH, TG, TC and HDL-C levels. Furthermore, ACP can protect ovarian tissue to some extent.

To explore the effect of C3G on intestinal mucosal injury in 5-FU induced BALB/c mice. Mice were randomly divided into normal, model and C3G groups. After the last administration, mice were anesthetized, and calculated the thymus and spleen indexes. The ileum was used to stain with H&E observation. Serum levels of IL-1β, IL-6, IL-10 and TNF-α were determined by ELISA kits. Compared with the normal group, the model group had diarrhea, body weight and thymus and spleen index decreased significantly, intestinal villus epithelial cells fell off, crypt structure was destroyed, and inflammatory cell infiltration was observed. The body weight, thymus and spleen indexes of the treatment group and the prevention group decreased less, and the levels of TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6 were significantly decreased, and the level of IL-10 was significantly increased relative to the model group. The intestinal villi structure was relatively complete, and a small amount of crypt structure was destroyed, with a small amount of inflammatory cell infiltration, which reduced the mucosal damage. The administration of C3G could protect intestinal mucosa from 5-FU-induced injury.

Rong Liu,Zhiqiang Feng,Hengda Ye,Yuqing Liu 한국강구조학회 2020 International Journal of Steel Structures Vol.20 No.2
In order to evaluate the stress concentration of stud shear connectors considering creep effect of concrete, finite element analysis of the push-out specimen is carried out. The rate of creep method is used in the solid model to reflect the creep property of concrete. Local bearing stress and splitting stress of concrete are analyzed. The stress concentration of steel beam and stud near the weld toe are obtained. Results show that owing to the creep effect of concrete, the local stresses of the stud are redistributed, even under constant shear force. The stress concentration factor (SCF) of concrete bearing stress in front of the weld collar decreases by about 52%, while the bending deformation of the stud increases due to the stress redistribution given 10 years of creep time. SCF at the weld toe of steel beam increases about 1.5 times of short-term, and SCF of stud shank increases about 3 times. The stress concentration at the root of studs become more obvious under constant shear force due to concrete creep, which is adverse for the long-term behavior of studs in the normal service stage.
