High-efficiency in Cu(In,Ga)Se₂ (CIGS) solar cells were usually achieved on soda-lime glass substrates due to Na incorporation that reduces deep-level defects. However, this supply of sodium from sodalime glass to CIGS through Mo back electrode could be limited at low deposition temperature. Na content could be more precisely controlled by supplying Na from known amount of an outside source. For the purpose, an Na₂S layer was deposited on Mo electrode prior to CIGS film deposition and supplied to CIGS during CIGS film. With the Na₂S underlayer a more uniform component distribution was possible at 350°C and efficiency was improved compared to the cell without Na₂S layer. With more precise control of bulk and surface component profile, CIGS film can be deposited at low temperature and could be useful for flexible CIGS solar cells.

Modern bridges have a tendency to make the spans continuous and longer for the deck joints elimination, according to span continuity the secondary stresses occurs in bridge cross section, among them the effect of concrete creep and shrinkage is very important for the durability and safety PSC girder bridges. The main purpose of this paper is ensuring the safety of structure by analyzing the time-dependent stress from creep and shrinkage acting on the concrete. The important factors for computing the restraint moment, the creep coefficient and the shrinkage strain are computed by the Korean specification(Eurocode 2). As a result, it is found that the specified compressive strength of concrete, creep coefficient, and prestres method are important successively.

In order to investgate the change of dye adsorption and printing effect by alkali concentration steaming time, and dyeing paste, cotton fabric was printed with the reactive dyes. The results are as follows : 1. The most effect of dye adsorption showed at 0.5% Na2CO₃to dyeing paste for C. I. Reactive Blue28 and 1% Na2CO₃for Blue 198. 2. The effect of dye adsorption was practically unchanged according to the increase of steaming time for printing was 10 min. 3. The most effect of printing showed at 3% paste to dyeing paste. 4. The colorfastness to laundering of each dye was excellent and the lightfastness was good, but the colorfastness to perspiration was poor more or less. 5. It was found that the colorfastness was not influenced by alkali concentration and steaming time.

Aplastic anemia is a disease characterized by pancytopenia in the peripheral blood and hypocellular bone marrow with the fatty infiltration. The causes of the acquired aplastic anemia were usually related to drugs and immune-related diseases. A 34-years old man was admitted due to general weakness. He has been going hemodialysis for 2 years because of end stage renal disease (ESRD) due to chronic glomerulonephritis. At admission, laboratory tests showed hemoglobin 6.2 g/dL, hematocrit 18.0 %, WBC 5,710mm (neutrophil 71.8%, lymphocyte 19.1%, monocyte 5.9%), reticulocyte 1.9%, platelet 93,000/mm, Fe 12.8 ug/dL, TIBC 204 ug/dL, ferritin 941.47 ng /ml, haptoglobin 0.72 g/L, vitamin B12 508.17 pmol/L, folate 24 ng/mL, total protein 6.54 g/dL, albumin 3.76 g/dL, Alk. pohsphatase 79 IU/L, AST 30.0 IU/L, ALT 39.7 IU/L, total bilirubin 0.57 mg/dl, BUN 79.4 mg/dl and creatinine 10.18 mg/dl. Peripheral blood smear showed the normocytic normochromic anemia with anisocytosis. Anemia was diagnosed but it was irresponsive to the recombinant human erythropoietin (EPO) and blood transfusion. In the bone marrow aspiration smear were there the hypoplastic myeloid and erythroid precursors. The bone marrow biopsy section showed the hypoplasia of all components (10-20%) and the fatty infiltration. We have experienced one case of the idiopathic aplastic anemia in a patient going through hemodialysis and we just report it with documentary records. 저자들은 혈액 투석 중인 환자에서 약물, 면역계 이상등의 원인을 발견할 수 없었음에도 재생 불량성 빈혈이 발생한 1예를 경험하여 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

Background: Hyperkalemia is a commonly encountered problem in dialysis patients with end-stage renal disease. In this study we evaluated the effect of mineralocorticoid therapy (fludrocortisono acetate) on serum potassium level in the serum of hyperkalemic end-stage renal disease patients. Methods: Fourteen patients on hemodialysis receiving fludrocortisone acetate (FCA) 0.1 mg/day were observed for 2 months periods. Consecutive monthly biochemical profiles were compared for the druration of the pre-and post-treatment of FCA. Result: Fourteen patients with mean age (±SE) of 51.5 years (4 males and 10 females) and mean hemodialysis period of 51.9 months were studied. Mean serum potassium levels significantly fell (p<0.05) during the post-FCA period (5.2±0.66 mEq/L) compared with potassium levels during the pre-FCA (5.8±0.43 mEq/L) period. Pre-and post-FCA values were not different for sodium, chloride, protein, albumin, AST/ALT, glucose, blood nitrogen, creatinine, phosphate and calcium. Conclusions: FCA appears to decrease serum potassium value in patients with end-stage renal disease. These results suggested that FCA could be effective to treat hyperkalemia without any adverse effect in patients undergoing hemodialysis.

A dense nanostructured (Mo,Ti)Si2 compound was sintered by the high frequency induction heating method within 2 minutes from mechanically activated powder of Mo, Ti and Si. A highly-dense (Mo,Ti)Si2 compound was produced under simultaneous application of a 80 MPa pressure and the induced current. The mechanical properties and microstucture were investigated.

Nanopowders of MoSi_2 and Si_3N_4 were synthesized from Mo2N and Si by high ball milling. Dense nanostructured 8MoSi_2-Si_3N_4 composite was consolidated by high frequency induction heated sintering (HFIHS) method within two minutes from mechanically synthesized powders of MoSi2 and Si3N4. Highly dense 8MoSi_2-Si_3N_4 composite with a relative density of up to 97 % was produced under simultaneous application of 80 MPa pressure and the induced current. The average grain size and mechanical properties (hardness and fracture toughness) of the composite were investigated.
