The study was designed to investigate the effects of 12 weeks of aerobic exercise and change of commuting mode to public transportation on body composition and blood lipid profiles in middle-aged obese men. Forty subjects, aged 30-50 yrs, whose BMI was higher than 25 kg · m-2, were randomly assigned to one of three groups, i.e., aerobic exercise training group(AT; n=13), change of commuting mode group(CCM; n=14), and control group(CON; n=13). Subjects in the AT participated in aerobic exercise program, peformed at 40-75% of HRR, 15-35 min/session, 3 sessions/wk for 12 weeks, and subjects in the CCM changed the commuting mode from their own vehicle to public transportation 5 day/wk, 10 times/wk for 12 weeks. Subject in the CON were asked to maintain their normal life patterns during the same intervention period. Variables regarding body composition and blood lipid profiles were measured in pre-test and post-test, and the results were compared among three groups and between two tests. Main results of the present study were as follows: l) Walking amount increased significantly in only CCM as treated. 2) Body weight, waist circumference, waist-hip ratio, body mass index, body fat, and fat mass decrease significantly in the AT, while body weight, body mass index, body fat, and fat mass decreased significantly in the CCM (P〈.05), 3) LDL-C decreased significantly in the AT(P〈.01) and the CCM(P〈.05). It was concluded that 12 weeks of change of commuting mode to public transportation as well as aerobic exercise would be beneficial for improving variables regarding body composition and blood lipid profiles. Increment of physical activity by changing to public transportation from their own vehicle would be helpful to prevent obesity and dyslipidemia.

지금까지의 논의를 통하여 불의 대수체계를 자연언어(여기서는 영어와 한국어) 기술에 도입함으로써 보다 체계적인 형식화를 모색해 보았다. 특히 외연과 함의를 두 표현의 정보량에 의하여 정의으로써 종래 전체나 함의에 대한 논란의 해결점을 마련한 셈이다. 그러나 불의의 대수체계에 의한 다음의 몇가지 문제점은 자연언어 기술에 있어서 문제점으로 지적할 수 있다. 첫째 불의 대수체계에 의한 자연언어 기술에 있어서 두 표현의 결합은 그 표현의 부분을 함의하느냐하는 것이다. 예컨대 수식어 모조와 피수식어 권총이 결합하여 모조권총 이란 새로운 표현이 이루어질 때 모조권총은 그 부분표현인 권총을 참의해야 할 것이다. 바꾸어 말하면 모조권총의 외연을 f(g)라 한다면 권총의 외연은 g가 되므로 f(g)가 g보다더 많은 정보를 갖기 때문에 모조권총은 권총을 함의해야 할 것이다. 우리의 언어 직관에 비추어 보더라도 모조권총으로부터 권총을 추론해 낼 수 없다. 따라서 함의 기술에 대한 불의 대수체계 수정이 요구된다.
콩에서 발생하는 강낭콩일반모자이크바이러스(BCMV)와 땅콩위축바이러스(PSV)의 저항성 평가

It has been reported several viral diseases in soybean. The occurrence of Bean common mosaic virus and Peanut stunt virus are able to induce severe problem because the main breeding target for viral disease was focused on Soybean mosaic virus. BCMV is a spcies of the genus Potyvirus of the family Potyviridae. BCMV reduces yield by as much as 80% and also adversely affects seed quality in common bean. BCMV has a worldwide distribution because of its high rates 35% of transmission via seeds produced by plants systemically infected prior to bloom. PSV is a species of the genus Cucumovirus of the family Bromoviridae. PSV has been reported to be economically damaging on beans worldwide. Although the virus is reportedly seed transmissible at very low rates, infected plants rarely produce pods with normal viable seeds. The most satisfactory management method of viral diseases such as BCMV and PSV is the use of resistant cultivars and healthy seed. For the overcome of genetic resistance by new virus such as BCMV and PSV, virus diseases monitoring and researches need to study deeply and continually. In this study, we conducted the resistance screen on BCMV and PSV for selection of resistance cultivars. We inoculated on 128 cultivars with PSV and BCMV respectively. These cultivars were classified through pathogenic response such as resistance, necrosis and susceptibility. In addition, 99 and 66 resistant cultivars were confirmed against PSV and BCMV respectively.

Asbestosis is the disease of pulmonary fibrosis caused by the inhaled asbestos fibers, and could be diagnosed clinically, in the case of exposure history to asbestos is proved, by clinical symptoms of dyspnea or dry cough, physical examonation findings, and the radiographic features. But many othder inorganic dusts would show similar findings in the chest radiogram and sometimes the exposure history is obscure, so for the exact diagnosis of asbestosis lung biopsy is needed. In Korea, there have been some reports of survey in the workplace where asbestos is handled or of asbestos related diseases. This is a case report of asbestosis with accompanying pleural plaques, who had the occupational exposure to asbestos for 30 years and the consistent clinical, radiographic and pathological findings in the lung tissue obtained by the videoscope assisted thoracoscopic biopsy(VATS).

From January 10th 2002 to February 17th 2002, the clinical study was carried out I case of patient in trouble with voiding difficulty such as urinary incontinence, enuresis and urinary frequency after the L₄-L_(5) HN P operation, who had been hospitalised in the Dept. of Internal Medicin e, Cheon-An Oriental Medical Hospital, Daejeon University. The results were as following 1. For this case, we could get the better result using Bo-Joong-lk-Gi-Tang(補中益氣湯) in the treating period. 2. We could get the effective result that the case of voiding difficulty after HNP operation and cerebral infarction by conservative therapy of oriental medicine such as acupuncture, moxibustion and herb medicine.
RT-LAMP를 이용한 콩황화일반모자이크바이러스의 진단

Soybean yellow common mosaic virus (SYCMV) has been recently reported, it has been occurred a lot with Soybean mosaic virus (SMV) and Soybean yellow mottle mosaic virus (SYMMV) in soybean field. SYCMV belongs to genus of Sobemovirus and induced viral symptoms with yellowing, mottle and mosaic. A reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP) method allowed one-step detection of gene amplification by simple procedure and needed only a simple incubator for isothermal template. This RT-LAMP method allowed direct detection of RNA from virus-infected plants without thermal cycling and gel electrophoresis. In this study, we designed RT-LAMP primers named SYCML-F3/B3/FIP/BIP from coat protein gene sequence of SYCMV. After the reaction of RTLAMP, products were identified by electrophoresis and with the detective fluorescent dye, SYBR Green I. under daylight and UV light. Optimal reaction condition was at 63 for 60min and the primers of RTLAMP showed the specificity for only SYCMV tested in this study.
대장암 주변에서 관찰되는 백색반점의 병리조직학적 특성과 임상적 의의

Background/Aims: To investigate the difference between colorectal adenocarcinomas with white spots (foamy cells) and those without white spots, clinically and histopathologically, were examined 37 cases of colorectal adenocarcinomas were classified in this study. Methods: Two groups: those with white spots and those without. In each case, evidence of lymph node and liver metastasis was sought. Immunoreactive staining for macrophage was performed. Results: Increased incidence of exophytic tumors was found (73%, p=0.028) in the group with white spots. The incidences of lymph node metastasis were 33% vs. 45% between the group with white spots and the group of without, but the difference was not statistically significant. Conclusions: These results suggested that foamy cells might have a beneficial role in colorectal cancer, although they were not statistically significant. Therefore, further prospective study be warranted.
Divergence intensity and mode combinations for multiple orbital angular momentum transmission

In this paper, we propose divergence intensity (DI) and mode combinations for multiple orbital angular momentum (OAM) users to enhance the sum capacity. Generally, OAM multiplexing has beam divergence (BD) limiting the achievable link distance and degrading performance. The effective OAM channel model implies DI which is considered as intensity of OAM mode. In addition, the near–far mode combination is recommended to be sub-optimal compared with different mode combinations which types are sequential and uniform. The sub-optimal mode combination outperforms the other two mode combinations because channel gain shares the DI effect. The performance of the proposed scheme is derived and simulated in terms of normalized DI, capacity per user, and sum capacity.
