Objectives: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of electroacupuncture on heat sensation of the feet of a 61-year-old female patient with restless leg syndrome. Methods: Electroacupuncture was performed at four acupoints (KI3 (太谿), KI6 (照海), LR3 (太衝), LR2 (行間)) selected to reduce heat sensation in both feet. The patient's symptoms were assessed using the VAS (Visual Analogue Scale), the SF-MPQ (short-form McGill Pain Questionnaire), and the IRLS (International Restless Legs Scale). The treatment was performed from April 20, 2010 to April 24, 2010. Results: During five sessions of electroacupuncture treatments, the VAS, SF-MPQ, and IRLS scores improved throughout the treatment period and afterwards. Conclusions: The results suggest that electroacupuncture at KI3(太谿), KI6(照海), LR3(太衝), LR2(行間) can be effective for reducing hot flush in both feet.

The rate constants for the hydrolysis of 2-cinnamoylthiophene were determined by UV spectrophotometry in 50% methanol-water at 29℃ and a rate equation which can be applied over wide pH range was obtained. From this equation, we may conclude the following: above pH12, the over-all rate is only dependent on the concentration of hydroxide ion and below pH 10, the reaction is initiated by the attack of water molecule on the activated carbon-carbon double bond. In the range of pH from 10 to 12, these two reactions occur competitively.

Until recently, colorectal polyps were classified predominantly as hyperplastic or adenomatous. While adenomatous polyps are well-characterized precursor lesions of adenocarcinomas, hyperplastic polyps have been considered as benign lesion. However, some hyperplastic polyps with serrated morphology of the crypts have been recognized to have distinctive features and these polyps were termed ‘serrated adenomas’. Recent data show that sessile serrated adenomas (SSA) might be the precursors of serrated colonic cancers, underlining the necessity of identifying them. SSA is approximately 3% of all polyps, commonly appears as flat or sessile and yellowish due to mucus production. In the pathogenesis of SSA, progression to high grade dysplasia or early invasive carcinoma may be associated with serrated neoplasia pathway different from adenoma-carcinoma sequence. We report a case with a colon polyp diagnosed as sessile serrated adenoma with high grade dysplasia after endoscopic submucosal dissection.
Ethyl-α-cyano-β-phenylacrylate 의 가수분해 반응에 관한 연구

Four kinds of Ethyl-α-cyano-β-phenylacrylate were prepared. The rate constants for the hydrolysis of the derivatives at various pH were determined by ultraviolet spectrophotometry in 50%-50% methanol-water buffer solution at 25˚C, and the rate equations which can be applied over wide pH ranges were obtained. The sustitution effect has shown that the rate of hydrolysis was accelerated by electron-withdrawing groups. The results of the rate equations, the substitution effect and the general base catalyst effect rationalized mechanism of the hydrolysis of Ethyl-α-cyano-β-phenylacrylate derivatives.
Cinnamonitrile 에 대한 Hydrogen Cyanide의 친핵성 첨가반응 메카니즘 연구(第 1 報)

The rate constants of the nucleophilic addition reaction of hydrogen cyanide to cinnam onitrile were determined by uv spectrophotometry at various pH and a rate equation which can Be applid over wide pH range was obtained. Below pH 9.50, the nucleophilic addition reaction of hydrogen cyanide to cinnamonitrile is initiated by the attack of hydrogen cyanide molecule on the activated carbon-carbon doub1e bond. Above pH 11. 5O, cyanide ion is the only nucleophile to cinnamonitrile, and in the range of pH from 9.50 to 11.50, these two reactions occur competitively. In strong alkaline solution. i,e. above pH 13.0, Michael type of nucleophilic addition proceeded completely.

The neural network is a static network that consists of a number of layer: input layer, output layer and one or more hidden layer connected in a feedforward way. The popularity of neural network appear to be related to its ability of learning and approximation capability. The Elman Neural Network proposed the J.Elman, is a type of recurrent network. It has the feedback links from hidden layer to context layer. So Elman neural network is the better performance than the neural network. In this paper, we propose the Modified Elman Neural Network. The structure of a MENN is based on the basis ENN. The recurrency of the network is due to the feedback links from the output layer and the hidden layer to the context layer. In order to certify the usefulness of the proposed method, the MENN apply to the multi tracking control and the X-Y Cartesian tracking. Simulation shows that the proposed MENN method is better performance than the multi layer neural network and the ENN.
급냉 제강슬래그를 잔골재로 사용한 차폐콘크리트의 공학적 특성에 관한 실험적 연구

The steel slag, a by~product which is produced during the manufacture of steel by refining pig iron, is mainly used as road materials after aging it. It is necessary to age steel slag for long time in air because the reaction with water and free-CaO in steel slag could make the expansion of volume. This problem prevents steel slag from being used as aggregate for concrete. However, steel slag used in this study was controled by a air-jet method which rapidly cools substance melted at a high temperature. The rapid-chilling method prevents from generation of free-CaO in steel slag. The rapid-chilled steel slag is similar to be spherical shape and has the heavier specific gravity than natural aggregate. Therefore, it could be used to manufacture radiation shielding concrete as fine aggregate. This paper investigated the engineering properties of radiation shielding concrete when using rapid-chilled steel slag as fine aggregate. As results of this study, the increase of use of rapid-chilled steel slag decreased the desirable water content of concrete but developed the rate of radiation shielding of concrete. The strength of concrete using it is similar to that of concrete using river sand.
