        Uterus didelphys with unilateral obstructed hemivagina and ipsilateral renal agenesis usually presents after menarch with progressive abdominal pain during menses secondary to hematocolpos, and indeed a very rare congenital anomaly due to Mullerian duct malformation. An accurate and prompt diagnosis is of importance to permit treatment and to assure the future fertility of the patient. Pelvic ultrasound, physical examination and pelvic MRI established a diagnosis of hematometracolpos secondary to uterus didelphys with unilateral imperforate hemivagina. An incision in the vaginal septum allowed drainage of the hematocolpos, providing relief of the patients symptoms. We report two case of uterus didelphys with obstructed hemivagina with brief review of the literature.

        수종의 NiTi 전동 파일 단면 형태 비교 및 pecking motion의 사용방법이 피로 파절에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 현재 시판중인 Profile^(®), ProTaper^(®), K3^(®), Hero 642^(®), Hero Shaper^(®)를 단면을 비교하고 이들 5가지 NiTi 파일과 사용방법에 따른 피로 파절 소요 시간을 비교하고자 시행되었다. 각 NiTi 전동파일의 치근단 1/3을 temporary resin에 매몰시키고 다이아몬드 표면처리된 버로 잘라내어, 초음파를 이용하여 세척 후, 주사전자현미경으로 단면을 관찰하였다. 주기적인 피로 실험을 수행하기 위해, 회전속도, pecking 거리를 자동적으로 조절할 수 있는 장치를 제작하고 파일을 만곡된 상태를 재현하기 위하여 15도 경사진 금속 토막에 위치시키고 분당 300회전의 속도로 회전시켜 파일이 파절될 때까지의 시간을 측정하였다. 사용방법에 따른 실험군은 동적군과 정적군으로 나누고 pecking 거리는 3㎜, 6㎜로 하였다. 실험결과 동적군 보다는 정적군의 피로파절 소요시간이 통계학적으로 유의차 있게 짧았으며 3㎜, 6㎜의 pecking distance에 따른 영향은 나타나지 않았다. 결론적으로 NiTi전동파일은 pecking motion으로 사용하는 것이 피로파절을 줄이는데 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다. There are various factors affecting the fracture of NiTi rotary files. This study was performed to evaluate the effect of cross sectional area, pecking motion and pecking distance on the cyclic fatigue fracture of different NiTi files. Five different NiTi files-Profile^(®) (Maillefer, Ballaigue, Switzerland), ProTaper™ (Maillefer, Ballaigue, Switzerland), K3 ^(®) (SybronEndo, Orange, CA), Hero 642^(®) (Micro-mega, Besancon, France). Hero Shaper^(®) (Micro-mega, Besancon, France)-were used. Each file was embedded in temporary resin, sectioned horizontally and observed with scanning electron microscope. The ratio of cross-sectional area to the circumscribed circle was calculated. Special device was favricated to simulate the cyclic fatigue fracture of NiTi file in the curved canal,. On this device, NiTi files were rotated (300rpm) with different pecking distances (3㎜ or 6㎜) and with different motions (static motion or dynamic pecking motion). Time until fracture occurs was measured. The results demonstrated that cross-sectional area didn't have any effect on the time of file fracture. Among the files, Profile^(®) took the longest time to be fractured. Between the pecking motions, dynamic motion took the longer time to be fractured than static motion. There was no significant difference between the pecking distances with dynamic motion, however with static motion, the longer time was taken at 3㎜ distance. In this study, we could suggest that dynamic pecking motion would lengthen the time for NiTi file to be fractured from cyclic fatigue.

        하악 무치악 인공치아매식술시 하치조신경 전위술

        Modified surgical technique for transposition of the inferior alveolar nerve followed by immediate placement of endosseous implants in mandibles with moderate to severe atrophy are presented. Five transpositions of the inferior alveolar nerve together with the installation of 10 implants were performed in four patients. The mean postoperative follow-up time was 17 months, with a range of 8 to 20 months. All implants with functioning pontics remained stable, with no mobility or symptoms of pain and infection during the follow-up period. Neurosensory evaluation was performed using the two-point discrimination test. Two patients had objective neurosensory dysfunction at postoperative, but all the nerve function were reported as normal by the patients 4 months postoperatively.

        Aloe, Gelfoam, Plaster가 골격손부의 신생골 형성에 미치는 영향에 관한 실험적 연구

        Purpose : This study was to evaluate the effects of Aloe, Gelfoam, and Plaster of Paris on bone healing. Materials and Methods : Four experimental defects were created for placement of the three materials in the right femur of dogs. One defect served as an empty control site. The evaluation was performed at 1-, 6-, and 12-weeks by light microscopy and radiographs. Results: Radiographic and histologic examinations showed new bone formation in the presence of Aloe, Gelfoam, and Plaster of Paris and similar bone healing reactions. Conclusion: On the basis of these findings, it was concluded that Aloe, Gelfoam, and Plaster of Paris may be adequate agents for use in bone procurement.(J Korean Oral Maxillofac Radiol 1999;29:493-506)

      • 자궁 경부 도말표본에서 Chlamydia trachomatis의 양성율에 대한 연구

        The uterine cervicitis by chlamydia trachomatis(CT) shows no specific clinical symptoms except mucopurulent leukorrhea, but it causes severe complications such as endometritis, salpingitis, abortion and infertility. Fortunately, the treatment of cervicitis by CT is simple and effective, so that this infection is once diagnosed and then confirmed, the treatment is not difficult. To study the positive rate of CT infection, we collected 65 patients inflicted with mucopurulent leukorrhea in Chonan city. Specimen was collected by swab and for the detection of CT, ELISA was carried out. The positive cases are observed in 15 out of 65 patients (positive rate is 23.1%). This positive rate was rather lower than other reports, however, this results were higher we expected With this result, the clinicians keep in mind the fact that the causes of uterine cervicitis by CT occupy the large proportions as gonorrhea.

        This study was carried out to estimate and evaluate the public function of forest resoruces, such as soil runoff control, landslide control, head-wsater conservation. purification of air (O? production and CO? purification ), sanitary andoutdoor recreation andwildlife protection for the forest land of 6.500.000 ha in Korea. The results obtaiend were as follows; 1 The function of soil runoff control was estimated to b e1.970million m?.its monetary value was appraised at 3.814.5 billion wons. 2.The function of landslide control was estimated to be 37.876 thousand m?its monetary value was appraised at 73.3 billion wons. 3. The function of head-water conservation was estimated to be 25.507million tons, its monetary value was appraised at 3.571.0 billion wons. 4.The production fo O? in the forest land was estimated to be 78.600 thousand tons,its monetary value was appraised at 3.930.0billion wons. 5.The volume of CO? absorbed in the forest land was estimated to be 94.320 thousand tons,its monetary value appraised at 2.204.3 billion wons. 6.The monetary value of outdoor recreation was appraised at 1.162.5 billion wons. 7.The phytoncide emmited in the forest land was estimated to be 1.954 thousand tons,the function of forest bath using phytoncide was appraised at 1.953.9 billion wons. 8.The monetary value of the functions of wildife protection, control of harmful insect control of tree growth and loss control of timber qality was appraised at 327 1 billion wons. In conclusion, the value of public functions of forest is more 23 times than that of the econmic function. production value of forest products, and comes to 14% of GNP. And also, the function of air purification.and and soil conservation has value than those of others. Particulary, it takes a more great deal of effort achiving the various works such as erosion control, establishment of recreation forest. management of reserved natural forest and afforestation of street tree for increasing of public functions.

      • Ecological characteristics for the management of Wild boar(Sus scrofa) populations in Bukhansan National Park

        Due to the occurrence of social problems caused by wild boar(Sus scrofa), information on the scientific habitat of wild boar living in the city type national park is required. This study was carried out to establish a scientific management plan through identification of the ecological characteristics of wild boar in Bukhansan National Park(BNP). Monthly average number of wild boar was 91.8 individuals with an average density of 1.9 indiv./㎢ in BNP. The frequency of wild boar was the highest in the site 2, and the mud bath was preferred. The wild boar was most frequently seen at 7pm and was confirmed to be nocturnal. The average home range of the wild boar was 1.043±0.378㎢, and the core area was 0.010 ± 0.001㎢. In order to prevent wild boar from appearing, In order to prevent wild boar from appearing in the city, it was found to be effective as a result of installing a fence and capture frame. However, the placement of specialist personnel who can manage the facilities is very important. The management plan of wild boar in BNP needs to understand trend of density change through long-term monitoring and to construct data through basic ecological research.

        Design and Fabrication of Information Security Films with Microlouver Pattern and ZnO Nano-Ink Filling

        Information security films that can ensure personal privacy by reducing the viewing angle of display screens were fabricated by microlouver patterning and a ZnO nano-ink filling process. Optical simulation results demonstrated that all the microlouver films showed good security performances. Security performances were evaluated as calculated relative luminance ratios compared between the side and front. Based on the simulation results, microlouver films were fabricated by UV imprint lithography and nano-ink bar coating. However, distortion of the microlouver pattern occurred with the use of high-viscosity nano-inks such as ZrO<sub>2</sub> and TiO<sub>2</sub>, and the CuO-filled microlouver film suffered from very low optical transmittance. Accordingly, the effects of ZnO filling height on security performance were intensively investigated through simulation and experimental measurements. The fabricated microlouver film with a 75-㎛-high ZnO filling exhibited a good relative luminance ratio of 0.75 at a 60° side angle and a transmittance of 44% at a wavelength of 550 nm.

        재폐로차단기간 보호협조 동작시 초전도한류기 적용위치 및 임피던스에 따른 순간저전압 분석

        Superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) has been expected as one of more effective solutions for decreasing fault current instantaneously and various types of SFCLs have been developed to apply into real power system. Recently, the application of the SFCL in a power distribution system has been reported to be contributed to the suppression of the voltage sag as well as the limitation of the fault current. However, the suppressing effect of voltage sag by the SFCL depends on component of its impedance and its application location in a power distribution system considering the recloser-recloser coordination. This paper analyzed the voltage sag caused by recloser-recloser coordination in a power distribution system and the suppression of the voltage sag due to the application location of the SFCL in a power distribution system was discussed through the PSCAD/EMTDC simulation.
