Effect of Asymmetric Hot Rolling on the Texture Evolution of Fe–3%Si Steel

In Fe–3%Si steel, the hot rolling process affects not only the hot rolling texture but also the primary recrystallization texture. Here, the effect of asymmetric hot rolling was studied by comparing the difference in the texture evolved between asymmetricand symmetric hot rolling. The effect of asymmetric hot rolling on the texture of primary recrystallized Fe–3%Si steel wasalso studied. The symmetric hot rolling of Fe–3%Si steel produces a rotated cube texture at the center but Goss and coppertextures near the surface. Asymmetric hot rolling tends to produce Goss and copper textures even at the center like thetexture near the surface. After primary recrystallization, the dominant texture at the center changes from {001} <210> to{111} <112> and the new texture has a higher fraction of the grains which make the low energy boundary with Goss grainsthan that of symmetric hot rolling.

It was reported that hepatic aldehyde dehydrogenase(ALDH) activity was depressed in alcoholic liver diseases, however there was few report that explain the reason of depressed ALDH activity. We have attempted to correlate the decrease of hepatic ALDH activity with the active oxygen species which generated at elevated rates in the proliferated microsomes by chronic ethanol feeding. The susceptibilities of the hepatic ALDH activity to active oxygen generated by xanthine-xanthine oxidase system and FeSO₄-H₂O₂ system were studied. Incubation of ALDH with 2×10³ xanthine oxidase for 30 min at 25℃ resulted in the decrease of enzyme activity to 60%, and 55% of ALDH activity was retained after exposure to FeSO₄4-H₂O₂ system for 20 min. Alteration in the ALDH activity after administration of ethanol in rat liver was investigated. Whereas the mitochodrial ALDH activity was increased, the microsomal activity was depressed in ethanol-treated rat. Induced microsomal ALDH activity was observed by treatment of phenobarbital or 3-methylcholanthrene in the liver of rats chronically fed alcohol. Since the ALDH catalyses the oxidation of a wide variety of aliphatic and aromatic aldehydes, it is suggested that the alteration in the ALDH activity by various factors including the active oxygen affects the physiological states of liver administrated ethanol chronically, which may in turn to lead to liver disease.

The local agenda 21 is at the beginning stage at the district of the islet Youngdo in Busan metropolitan city. Some important points should be considered when the district government carries on the local agenda 21. Although it is important to produce a concrete document for local agenda, before the district government pushes for the visible result in administration, the district government should wait and encourage the community to build up the capacity in social and environmental movement. Local enterprises and citizens are equally important components to process local agenda 21 with the district government. Also the individual agenda should be drawn carefully in premise of practical application by and for community, rather than for impractical but fashionable sentences. Several steps and perspectives were discussed and provided as a modest model for the district government to benchmark between practice and model.

Morphological analysis of wear particles is one of useful methods for machine condition monitoring because it is well reflected in machine driving state. This paper was undertaken to apply to the condition monitoring of hydraulic piston motor. The lubricating wear test was performed under different experimental conditions using the wear test device and wear specimens of the pin on disk type was rubbed in paraffinic base oil by three kinds of lubricating materials, varying applied load, sliding distance. The four shape parameters (50% volumetric diameter, aspect, roundness and reflectivity) arc used for morphological analysis of wear particles. The results showed that the four shape parameters of wear particles depend on a kind of the lubricating materials. It was capable of calculating presumed wear volume for three kinds of mate-rials on driving time to foresee a damage condition of lubricating materials.

The system designed in this paper, can mark the interior state of greenhouse using sensors of temperature, humidity and illumination on greenhouse interior by greenhouse system for farm village area's agriculture automation. And, the real time monitor is possible real time monitoring by camera. Also, system that can supply water using spring cooler system and humidifier. The proposed system can sustain a designed environment of the greenhouse through rentilation fan, fluorescent light and roof door control. TCP/IP is used for the remote control of state the sensors in the client program. 본 논문에서 설계된 시스템은 농촌 지역의 농업 자동화를 위한 온실 시스템으로 온실 내부에 온도, 습도, 조도 센서를 이용한 온실 내부의 상태를 표시할 수 있으며 카메라를 이용하여 실시간 관측이 가능하다. 또한 본 시스템은 지붕 개폐, 스프링 쿨러와 가습기를 이용한 수분 공급, 환풍기, 형광등 등을 통하여 온실 내부의 환경을 유지시킬 수 있다. 모든 센서를 이용한 상태와 온실 제어를 TCP/IP를 이용한 클라이언트 프로그램에서 원격으로 관리할 수 있다.

The effects of sugar (D-sorbitol, D-xylose), organic acid (Na-citrate) and amino acid (monosodium glutamate) on the physicochemical properties of frozen "Alaska-pollack" fillet containing 500mg% of sucrose at 15℃ were studied by the quantitative measurements of myofibrillar Mg^2+ -ATPase activity, trimethylamine-N, total protein, pH and textural variations with the lapse of time. The results were compared with each other at different concentration levels (125-500mg%). 1. The more higher the concentration of additives, were observed the more higher myofibrillar Mg^2+ - ATPase activity and pH value. In contrast, however, trimethylamine-N content was decreased with the concentration increase. 2. All the "Kamaboko" groups containing additives at different concentration levels maintained almost similar elasticity. On the other hand, they were not only easily crumbled but also markedly decreased hardness, cohesiveness and gumminess with the lapse of time. 3. The D-sorbitol showed inferior textural characteristics to other additives, and D-xylose gave heavy color during the "Kamaboko" processing. 4. D-sorbitol groups increased cohesiveness and gumminess, respectively, with the concentration Increase. On the other hand, hardness was decreased in the sodium citrate groups.

Free sugars-Fructose, Glucose, Sucrose, Maltose-were isolated from white ginseng, red ginseng, and red ginseng concentrate by HPLC. The results for the content of sugar was as follows: in white ginseng, Sucrose(30.70ppm) > Maltose (7.45ppm) > Fructose(0.42ppm) > Glucose(0.22ppm), in red ginseng, Maltose(33.65ppm) > Sucrose(8.84ppm) > Fructose (0.81ppm) > Glucose(0.43ppm), and in red ginseng concentrate, Sucrose(14.12ppm) > Fructose(9.23ppm) > Maltose(6.86ppm) > Glucose(5.87ppm). Overall results suggest that, in the contents of sugar, monosaccharide(Glucose) is lowest and disaccharide(Sucrose, Maltose) is highest, in all of ginseng.

This paper present a useful algorithm to estimate the probability of harmonic voltage exceeding a certain level. The probability of the harmonic voltage generated by the currents, of the same order with random phase angle and random magnitude, is derived, subject to certain assumptions regarding the phase angle and the magnitude distribution. The m-th harmonic current moment can be obtained from the joint characteristic function, and the voltage moment can be obtained from the current moment by the linear operation with the system admittance. Using the multivariate Gram-Charlier Type A Series and voltage is derived. The proposed algorithm was applied to a model system.
