      • Yield of Rice Affected by Meteorological Elements in Yeosu Area of Korea

        This study was conducted to investigate the relationships between yearly variations of meteorological elements and yearly variations of productivity in rice. In addition, correlation coefficients among yield and yield components were used to find out the relationships between meteorological elements and productivity. Yearly variation of the mean air temperature in May was large with coefficients of variation(C.V.) of 25.0%, but the variation of the duration of sunshine in May were relative small. No. of panicles per hill and 1,000 grains wt. of brown rice were great with C.V. of 21.1, 19.7%, respectively, brown rice yield show more or less C.V. of 5.5% and milled rice show still less variation. Correlation coefficients between temperatures in period of cultivation from May and yield were positive correlations. Correlation Coefficients between precipitation in period of cultivation from Sep. to Oct. and yield are positive correlations. Correlation coefficients amount the panicle length, no. of panicles, no. of spikelets, ratio of ripened grains, 1,000 grains wt. of brown rice, milled rice yield, brown rice yield and milled rice yield were positively significant at the level of 1 %, respectively.

      • 중부지역 옥수수 파종기에 따른 생육단계 및 수량성 변화

        Maize hybrids were planted on April 1, April 25, May 20 and June 15 in 2012, 2013 at the experimental paddy and upland fields in Suwon city , respectively to know changes of growth stage and yield according to different planting time. Maize planting on April 1 was not recommended because total growing days at planting on April 1 was not different with that at planting on April 25 due to many days from planting to emergence over 20 days at planting on April 1. Total growing days were not much different among three planting time after April 25 because days from silking to maturity was lengthened though days from planting to silking was shortened at later planting time. Stalk weight was decreased as planting time was delayed, particularly at planting times after May 20 at paddy field by excess water injury during early growth stage. But, grain yield was not low as in May and June. It is needed to introduce early maturity maize variety as Yanganok at late planting for higher grain yield and enough time for soil preparation for next winter crops

        노인전문요양시설의 거주단위 모형개발에 관한 연구

        With its rapid modernization and unparalleled speed of aging, South Korea faces the need for dramatic increase in its supply of nursing homes. Among the spacial components of nursing homes, residential units are considered as an essential part because the older person in nursing homes usually spend most of their time in residential units and the nursing homes are mainly composed of various residential units. It is necessary, therefore, to prepare a guideline for the plan of residential units in order to design the healthy and efficient nursing homes. This paper has first identified the concept of residential unit and analyzed 66 cases in the 62 nursing homes from 4 countries. And 4 nursing homes in Korea have been surveyed for the in-depth study. On the basis of this analysis, architectural prototypes of residential units have been proposed and the architectural characteristics of them have been compared analytically.

      • Effect of Fertilizer Levels on Growth Characters, Dry Matter Yield and Nutrient Quality of Forage Rape in Spring Sowing

        To find out the optimum fertilizer level for high yielding variety, Velox, experiment was conducted with 15 compositions of fertilizer levels at the experiment field of forage crop in Sunchon National University from Mar. 2000 to Aug. 2000. The effects of nitrogen fertilizer on plant growth were significant but increasing rate of application in potassium and phosphate fertilizers above 6 kg/a had negligible effects on plant growth. The optimum nitrogen application level of fertilizers turned out to be 16-6-6 kg/l0a of N-P2O5-K5O. Content of crude protein was highest and that of crude fiber such as NDF, ADF, cellulose and lignin were lowest at this rate of fertilizer application. Furthermore, IVDMD was high and dry matter yield were highest at the optimum raterate

      • Influence of Sowing Time on Growth, Yield and Nutritional Quality of Forage Rape in Spring

        To determine as optimal sowing time of forage rape in spring time in southern areas of Korea, forage rape cv. Velox, the highest yielding variety among introduced varieties of forage rape, was grown under five different sowing times. Yield components such as plant length, number of branches and number of leaves etc. were higher at the sowing time of Mar. 15 and Mar. 25. The plants sown at Mar. 15 and Mar. 25 also showed highest fresh and dry matter yield. When plants were grown under later sowing time, they showed higher values in content of crude protein and lower values in contents of crude fiber such as Neutral Detergent Fiber (NDF), Acid Detergent Fiber (ADF), cellulose and lignin. There was no relationship between variation of In Vitro Dry matter Digestibility (IVDMD) and sowing time. The plants sown at Mar. 15 and Mar. 25 showed highest digestible dry matter yields.

        『구입유물공개전』 전시유물 보존처리 : 금속유물을 중심으로

        국립중앙박물관에서는 국내외에서 구입한 유물들을 전시하기 위하여 보존처리를 실시하였다. 처리유물은 금속제 유물을 비롯하여 목제, 회화, 목·칠기 등 다양한데, 이중 금속유물 42점의 보존처리 내용을 재질별로 소개하였다. 유물의 현재 상태를 파악하기 위해 현미경 조사 및 X-선 촬영을 실시하였으며 재질에 따라 이물질 제거 방법, 안정화 처리 방법 등의 처리 방향을 설정하였다. 또한 역사적 자료를 보존하고 일반인들에게 전시할 수 있는 조치를 취하였다. For exhibition, conducted conservation treatment for a variety of collections acquired at home and abroad such as metallic objects, wooden-ware, paintings and lacquer-ware. Conservation treatment methods for 42 metallic objects were introduced for material types. X-ray and microscopic method were used to identify the current state of the collections and in some case if necessary, various foreign particle removing and stabilization method were used depending on material type. Historical data were stored and exhibited to public.

      • 초등학생의 과외체육활동이 학교 체육수업 선호도에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to examine the present state of elementary school students in extracurricular physical programs and its effect on their preference in school P.E and to provide research materials which can be used to increase teaching efficiency. For this purpose, a questionnaire was completed by 410 fifth and sixth grades in 4 different school districts(Kang-nam, Kang-buk, Kang-dong and Kang-seo)in Seoul. The questionnaire was developed on the basis of the study and adjusted for the purpose of this study. The results of the questionnaire were analyzed by SPSS. The general characteristics of the subjects of the survey were presented through frequency analysis. The correlations between the subjects' preference in the sub-fields of P.E. and the participation in the extracurricular physical program and gender were analyzed by x² verification. In addition, the t-test was executed to see the differences of preference in the sub-fields of P.E. The results were as follows. 1) The students who were not involved in extracurricular physical activity (Non-EC Group) outnumbered the student who participated in it(EC Group), In addition more boys than girls were in the extracurricular physical programs. 2) In the EC Group, boys did Taekwondo most. And it was followed by swimming soccer, basketball and Kendo. Girls also chose Taekwondo most. It preceded swimming dance, sports dance and Kindo. Unlike boys, girls rather positively participated in expressive activities like dance and sports dance. 3) With respect to the correlations between subjects' attitudes towards P.E and the participation in the extracurricular physical programs and sex, EC Group and boys showed more preference, interest and positiveness than Non-EC Group and girls(p<.001). 4) With respect to the correlations between subjects' preferences in the sub-fields of P.E. and the participation in the extracurricular physical programs and gender, first, EC Group showed more preference for gymnastics than Non EC Group(p<.05). In addition, in the sub-fields of gymnastics, boys and girls liked mat activities (37.8%) and vaulting horse activities(22.7%) most respectively(p<.01). Secondly, in the tract, there was no significant differences in the preferences between groups. Both boys and girls chose "relay" as their favorite activity. Thirdly, in the sub-field of game, soccer-related game was followed by skating and skiing. Whereas the soccer-related game was favored by both EC Group and Non-EC Group, the participation variable was significant in skiing and Taekwondo. The former was favored by EC Group. Moreover, gender affected the preference in the events of game activity. While 57.5% of the boys favored for the soccer-related game, 27.3% of the girls said "skating" was their favorite event. Preference in physical strength events differed according to participation variable as well as gender variable. Fourthly, the sub-field of expressive activity was least favoured by every group. Fifthly, in the sub-field of physical strength, "Exciting physical activity" was most popular. It showed that the participation in the extracurricular physical program and gender were analyzed as following. 5) The correlations between the elementary school student' preferences in the sub-fields of P.E and the ① Compared to The Non-EC Group, the EC Group showed significant preference in the sub-field of gymnastics, game, tract, physical strength activity. Therefore, it is proved that extracurricular physical programs can increase students' interest in these four sub-fields. ② Based on the gender variable, it was found that both boys and girls were most interested in the game activity. In case of boys, it was followed by track activity, physical strength activity, and gymnastics. In case of girls, it was followed by track activity, physical strength activity. In conclusion elementary school students' participation in extracurricular physical program affected their attitudes towards P.E. Therefore, it is essential to proceed the further research on continuity between elementary school P.E. and community sports as well as need analysis on elementary school students' P.E.

      • 農民所得增大를 위한 고구마의 栽培와 利用에 관한 硏究

        New varieties of sweet potato Sinmi and Hwangmi were cultivated in the reclaimed hilly area of four kinds of soil series in Jeonbug province and their growth conditions such as cutting time, row spacing, application of fertilizers and plant growth regulators and covering effect were investigated. Besides these studies on cultivation of sweet potatoes, experiments on the change of chemical components of sweet potato tubers, adaptibility for storage and drying of sliced sweet potato tubers were carried out. The results are summarized as follows : 1. The early cutting of May 20, alley of 90 X 20cm, application of potassium(28kg/10a)and covering produced the high yield of sweet potatoes. The apllication of OED green did not increase the yield of sweet potatoes, 2. The yield of Hwangmi was higher than that of Sinmi. These two varieties of sweet potatoes grew well in all the test soil series except Bansan. By early cutting of May 20, the highest yield of Hwangmi was obtained in Songjung series soil and the highest yield of Sinmi was in Yesan. 3. Starch content was higher in Sinmi than in Hwangmi while yield of starch per unit area was high in Hwangmi because of its high yield of sweet potato tubers. Both Hwangmi and Sinmi showed very high water content of more than 70 per cent. The highest yield of total solid matter from Sinmi was on September 15 and that from Hwangmi on September 30. Sinmi and Hwangmi harvested on September 30 showed the highest starch content. 4. Variation in water content, starch, soluble sugar, protein and fat content during storage was minimum in the sweet potatoes stored in the temperature controlled storage chamber and was maximum in those stored in the cave under ground. As a result, percent of grade A sweet potatoes remaining was highest in the temperature controlled storage chamber and lowest in the cave under ground. 5. Hwangmi was more susceptible to Rhizopus nigricans than Sinmmi, especially under the humid condition. 6. Shape and thickness of slice did not affect the yield of dried sweet potatoes but affected the time needed for drying. Depending on the thickness and the shape of slice, variations of 36 hours and 12 hours in drying time were observed respectively. Drying table was most effective in drying of sweet potatoes and drying rack was also effective and required 2 days less time than mat. Dipping in water did not show any effect on drying time but improved the color of dried sweet potatoes.

      • 연두금파리의 난발생과정에 따른 아미노산과 지방산의 변화

        Amino acid and fatty acid compositions were determined in the egg of Lucilia illustris during egg development. Terminal oocyte development was examined every 24hr after a protein meal and the length of terminal oocyte showed 1.10 and 1.36mm at 72 and 96hr, respectively. The age-related rise in total protein level was similar to that of oocyte maturity. A total of 13 amino acids was detected qualitatively and quantitatively, and changes in phenylalanine, isoleucine, and arginine varied significantly during oocyte maturation. Fatty acids i.e., palmitic acid, palmitoleic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid, and linoleic acid were analysed by gas chromatography. Total protein, amino acids, and fatty acids contents showed a significant rise starting from 48hr and reached to the maximum in the eggs at 96hr after a protein meal, which could be responsible for the degree of egg development in anautogenous blowfly.
