Defensins, which are small cationic molecules produced by organisms as part of their innate immune response, share a common structural scaffold that is stabilized by three disulfide bridges. Coprisin is a 43-amino acid defensin-like peptide from Copris tripartitus. Here, we report the intramolecular disulfide connectivity of cysteine-rich coprisin, and show that it is the same as in other insect defensins. The disulfide bond pairings of coprisin were determined by combining the enzymatic cleavage and mass analysis. We found that the loss of any single disulfide bond in coprisin eliminated all antibacterial, but not antifungal, activity. Circular dichroism (CD) analysis showed that two disulfide bonds, Cys20-Cys39 and Cys24- Cys41, stabilize coprisin’s α-helical region. Moreover, a BLAST search against UniProtKB database revealed that coprisin’s α-helical region is highly homologous to those of other insect defensins. [BMB Reports 2014; 47(11): 625-630]

Nasal bone fracture is common in mid-facial trauma patients. In these patients, facial bone and nasal bone fracture are reducted at same time, but definite nasal reduction is diffidulty in these patients because of nasotracheal intubation during general anesthesia and facial swelling in early facial trauma patients. If nasal packing and MMF are needed, there are difficult to maintain the reducted nasal bone because of some difficulty in airway maintenance after nasal packing and increasing the patient discomfort. So postoperative nasal deformity is more common in these combined patients. Secondary rhinoplasty is necessary in these patients who have deformed nasal bone, and there are many methods and materials for secondary rhinoplasty. But if primary nasal bone was reducted symmetrically, it is easy in secondary rhinoplasty. We present 7 cases of secondary rhinoplasty in mid-facial trauma patients who had combined nasal bone fracture. In these patients, primary nasal bone reduction carried with closed reduction method during primary facial bone reduction. About 6 months later, we performed secondary rhinoplasty with iliac bone and alloplastic materials. So we report these cases with literatures.
물체의 Free Body Diagram(FBD) 에 대한 정량적인 고찰

현행 국내와 국외의 물리 교재들은 대부분 물체의 FBD에 대하여 일치된 표시 방법을 갖고 있지 않다. 그것은 물체의 평형을 생각할 때, 평형에 관한 제1조건만 적용하거나 제2조건을 고려할지라고 정성적으로만 다루었기 때문이라고 생각한다. 현행 물리 교재들이 채택하고 있는 표시방법들은 물체의 크기를 무시할 수 있거나, 회전을 고려하지 않을 경우는 문제가 없으나 회전을 고려해야 하는 경우는 설명에 어려움이 있다. 무엇보다 교과서에서 FBD를 정확히 표시하는 것은 매우 중요한 일이라고 생각하며, 본 연구에서는 대부분의 물리 교재들이 현재 사용하고 있는 FBD와 관련된 문제점들을 찾아보고, 물체의 평형에 관한 제1, 2조건을 적용한 정량적인 분석을 통하여 올바른 FBD 표현 방안을 제안하고자 한다. The Free-Body Diagram (FBD) is widely used in introductory physics textbooks. It plays a key role in finding the net force and the net torque acting on a body. However, the representantions of the FBD vary from textbook to textbook in Korea, as well as in foreign countries. In the case of translational motion only, the methods of presenting FBD were not significantly different. However, in the case of rotational motion due to the torque produced by the external forces, the methods of drawing the FBD were significantly differenct. In this study, the researchers examined the FBDs presented in the textbooks in Korea and in foreign countries and extracted problems appearing in the textbooks. Finally, the researchers tried to suggest a correct method for drawing FBD, which would be applicable to the translational motion, as well as the rotational motion, of a body.

The development of our fishery economy should be achieved not only through increasing the output of marine products, but also through raising th income of a large number of petty fishermen engaged in marine product industry. 2. The gross tonnage of Korea's fishing boats shows merely 160,043 tons in contrast with that of Japan's 2,078,816, and in their equipments, approximately 92 per cent of Japan's fishing boats are motor ships. On the other hand, 52 per cent of Korea's fishing boats is composed of non-motor ships. Therefore, some special measures should be taken by the Government not to be dropped behind out of the keen fishing competition in the water-area of common regulations. 3. While the gross output of marine products in Chonnam Province is at the top of this country, Chonnam ranks only the third in the horse power of fishing boats. This explains that Chonnam Province does not get off its backwardness yet. 4. The income of general fisher men in this province is 8,200 on the average. This indicates that the income of Chonnam fishermen is very meager in comparison with $130(35,100)per capita, which is the general income in Korea. 5. Government must change the way and structure of investment that the fishermen's cooperatives can be established by the fishermen, operated by them and accomplish its function for the fishermen themselves.

分數 이데알의 類 中에서 因子라고 하는 重要한 部分類를 分類하여 그 性質을 조사 硏究하는 것은 重要한 일이다. 本 論文에서는 Krull 環의 因子에 關한 다음 두 定理를 證明하였다. (1) 零아닌 素이데알은 高度가 1일때만 因子가 된다. (2) 이데알이 因子가 될 必要充分條件은 그것이 高度가 1인 有限個의 準素이데알들의 交集合으로 나타내어진다.

시공간 그래프는 고전약학의 운동학에서부터 많이 활용되어 왔다. 그것은 수식이 갖는 의미표현의 제약을 넘어서 그 의미를 좀더 구체적으로 시각화 할 수 있는 그래프의 특성때문일 것이다. 특수 상대성 이론의 운동학을 기술하는데도 이 그래프를 도입하여 고적역학적 그래프와 비교하여 그 특성을 먼저 이해한다면 보다 쉽게 특수 상대론적 운동학을 이해할 수 있을 것으로 생각한다. 따라서 본 연구는 상대론적 시공간 좌표계의 특성을 보다 근본적으로 이해할 수 있는 과정을 소개함으로써 특수 상대론적 시공간 개념에 대한 구체적인 이해와 이를 이용한 로렌츠 변환식의 유도에 연구의 목적을 두었다. The graphical method has been used widely in solving problems on classical kinematics because it has the advantage of visualiztion. The same advantage is expected in solving relativistic kinematics problems which are also closely related to motion. In this study, Lorentz transformation formula was derived using a spacetime graph only. In the derivation, the method of representing events in the two different coordinates and invariance of spacetime interval were used. Pure geometrical method was applied without using any algebraic method. If the students who are familiar with graphical representation of motion will understand this method more easily than the algebraic method which appear in most textbooks.
