뇨(尿)중 3-Methylhistidine 함량의 측정과 이용

기존의 방법을 일부 수정하여 뇨중 3-methylhistidine을 분석하였다. 뇨중 3-methylhistidine을 fluorescamine 유도체화하여 HPLC에 주입하고 C_18 column과 10 mM acetonitrile/sodium phosphate buffer(pH 7.5)로 분리·용출시켜 형광검출기로 측정하였다. 3-methylhistidine의 체류시간은 7분 이내이었으며, histidine과의 분리상태도 서로 간섭함이 없이 양호하였다. 뇨에 3-methylhistidine을 첨가하고 이를 분석하였을 때의 회수율은 93∼106%로 높은 수준이었다. 체육학과 남학생중 웨이트 트레이닝 단련자와 비단련자를 대상으로 조사한 단기간의 웨이트 트레이닝에 따른 뇨중 3-methylhistidine 함량의 변화는 두 집단 모두 웨이트 트레이닝후의 3-methylhistidine 분비량이 유의하게 증가하였다. A modified method is given for the precolumn derivatization and subsequent high-pressure liquid chromatographic seperation of 3-methylhistidine from urine. The elution contained isocratic solution with acetonirile and 10 mM sodium phosphate(pH 7.5) requires less than 7 min. The recoveries of 3-methylhistidine from urine control were 93% to 106%. 3-Methylhistidine determinations were performed on urine samples from volunteers who were both male trained and non-trained physical undergraduates. As the result, urinary 3-methylhistidine content of volunteers increased significantly after weight training.

This study was designed to examine the factors associated with alcohol consumption among the Korean high schools girls. 283 female students were sampled from two high school in Seoul, Korea. They were given questionnaires and were asked to fill in and return them during a class hours. The factors included in the questionnaire were analyzed to see their contributions to alcohol consumption using chi-square. Alcohol consumption was associated with lower school performance(p=.001). High alcohol expectancies increased alcohol consumption(p=.000); however, depression did not show a statistically significant relationship to alcohol consumption. Mothers' alcohol consumption, having many alcohol consuming friends and watching TV commercials picturing alcohol were found to be associated with alcohol consumption, p=.049, .000, .000. respectively. Results may imply that alcohol consumption may not be a coping behavior of the depressed high school girls. Parents in Korea should be more concerned about alcohol consumption and its impacts on their daughters. Media effects on alcohol consumption need to be stressed and deserve attention from the public.

Synaptosomal plasma membrane vesicles (SPMV) were isolated from fresh bovine cerebral cortex. The effects of barbiturates on the rotational relaxation time of 1.6-diphenyl-1, 3, 5-hexatriene (DPH) in intact SPMV and model membranes of total lipids (SPMVTL) and phosphlipids (SPMVPL) extracted from SPMV were examined. Barbiturates decreased the rotational relaxation time of DPH in intact SPMV in a dose-dependent manner. In contrast, they did not affect the rotational relaxation time of DPH in SPMVTL and even dose-dependently increased the rotational relaxation time of DPH in SPMVPL.

<P>Poly (D,L-latic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) has been used as the artificial scaffold for blood vessel formation. In order to hinder smooth muscle cell (SMC) angiogenesis, new scaffold design method of loading Epigallocatechin 3-O-gallate (EGCG) on PLGA film was introduced. PLGA and EGCG were dissolved in acetone and film-shape scaffold was manufactured. Antiangiogenetic effect of EGCG released on scaffold was analyzed for SMC and human umbilical vein endothelial cell (HUVEC) and method for selective inhibition from the difference of growth of SMC and HUVEC was suggested.</P>
