Background: There is limited information describing the presenting characteristics and dynamic clinical changes in severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection diagnosed in the early phase of illness. This study is a case series of patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) admitted to 11 hospitals in Korea. Methods: Patients with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection by positive polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing of respiratory specimens by active surveillance that were finally discharged between February 20 and April 30, 2020 were included. Patients were classified into mild and non-mild groups on initial admission according to oxygen demand and Sequential Organ Failure Assessment score, and the mild group was followed up and subgrouped into non-aggravation and aggravation groups. Results: A total of 161 patients with SARS-CoV2 infection were enrolled. Among the mild group of 136 patients, 11.7% of patients experienced clinical aggravation during hospitalization, but there was no initial clinical parameter on admission predicting their aggravation. Fever (odds ratio [OR], 4.56), thrombocytopenia (OR, 12.87), fever (OR, 27.22) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) > 300 U/L (OR, 18.35), and CRP > 1 mg/dL (OR, 11.31) significantly indicated aggravation in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th 5-day periods, respectively. PCR positivity lasted for a median of 22 days and 32 days after the onset of illness in the non- aggravation and aggravation groups, respectively. Conclusion: Old age was associated with early severe presentation. Clinical aggravation among asymptomatic or mild patients could not be predicted initially but was heralded by fever and several laboratory markers during the clinical course.

<P>A method for the quantitative determination of dibutyl phthalate (DBP), benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP), bis(2-ethylhexyl) adipate (DEHA), bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), di-n-octyl phthalate (DNOP), dioctyl terephthalate (DOTP), diisononyl phthalate (DINP), and diisodecyl phthalate (DIDP) in medical infusion sets was developed and validated using gas chromatography coupled with triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS) in the multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mode. Solvent extraction with polymer dissolution for sample preparation was employed prior to GC-MS/MS analysis. Average recoveries of the eight target analytes are typically in the range of 91.8–122% with the relative standard deviations of 1.8–17.8%. The limits of quantification (LOQs) of the analytical method were in the ranges of 54.1 to 76.3 ng/g. Analysis using GC-MS/MS provided reliable performance, as well as higher sensitivity and selectivity than GC-MS analysis, especially for the presence of minority plasticizers at different concentrations.</P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Atomic force microscopy images showed that layers with a ZnO nanostructure were regularly formed on polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) substrates coated with indium tin oxide. The output voltage of triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) containing layers with the ZnO nanostructure and operating in the vertical contact-separation mode was approximately 20 V, which indicated that the power was enhanced by a factor of 2 compared to that of the TENG without such layers. Bending endurance tests on the TENGs demonstrated high stability under the stress caused by bending at an angle of 90°. The average open-circuit voltage of the TENGs operating in the ambient atmosphere was reduced by only 22% after 2000 bendings. This endurance of the TENGs under bending in air could be attributed to the presence of the layers with the ZnO nanostructure.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Flexible TENGs based on ZnO nanostructural layer were fabricated on PEN substrates. </LI> <LI> V<SUB>OC</SUB> of flexible TENGs were observed after various bending stresses up to 2000 bendings. </LI> <LI> The average V<SUB>OC</SUB> values show the bending endurance of the flexible TENGs. </LI> </UL> </P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) based on solution-processed zinc-oxide (ZnO) nanoripples acting as a triboelectric layer were fabricated to enhance their output voltage. Scanning electron microscopy images showed that ZnO nanoripples were uniformly formed on glass substrates coated with indium-tin oxide. The TENG containing ZnO nanoripples and operating in the vertical contact-separation mode exhibited an output voltage of 68 V, which was almost 3 times larger than that of the TENGs with ZnO nanorods. The open-circuit output voltages of TENGs were found to depend significantly on the condition of the ZnO nanoripple precursors. The friction force on the ZnO nanoripple matrix increased with increasing density of ZnO nanoripples due to an increase in the contact area between the ZnO nanoripples and the PI layer, resulting in an enhancement of the output voltage of the TENGs based on nanoripples.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> TENGs based on ZnO nanoripples were fabricated to enhance their output voltage. </LI> <LI> The V<SUB>OC</SUB> of ZnO nanoripple TENGs was 3 times larger than that of ZnO nanorod TENGs. </LI> <LI> ZnO nanoripples increased the trio-charge density and transferred charge of TENGs. </LI> </UL> </P>
문화역사 활동이론 관점에서 예비과학교사 공동체의 수업에 대한 반성 분석- 3년간의 생물 실험교실 프로그램 운영 사례

본 연구에서는 대학교와 학교 현장의 연계를 통하여 진행된 실험교실의 사례에서, 3년간의 수업 후 평가회에서 나타나는 예비교사 공동체의 반성을 문화역사활동이론의 관점에서 분석하였다. 먼저, Engestr.m이 제안한 활동 체계를 이용하여 사회문화적 요소를 파악하였고, 반성의 양상을 ‘반성 주제의 다양성’과 ‘반성의 실제성’의 측면으로 구분하여 살펴보았다. 그리고 공동체의 반성과 실행의 순환 과정 속에서 나타나는 한계점을 살펴보았다. 분석 결과, 3년간의 수업 후 평가회에서 예비교사 공동체 반성의 사회문화적 요소는 변화하였는데, 수업평가회의 정례화, 도구의 도입, 평가회 운영 주체의 변화가 두드러지게 나타났다. 이 과정 속에서 반성의 주제는 다양해지고, 실제적인 논의가 이루어졌다. 그러나 시간 관리, 학생의 참여, 지도서인 ‘멘토의 역할’에대해서는 반성적 실천이 발전되지 못하고 매번 비슷한 패턴의 논의가 반복되었다. 이러한 결과 분석을 토대로 활동체계의 측면에서 예비교사 공동체의 반성적 논의를 촉진시킬 수 있는 방법에 대하여 제언하였다. In this study, we analyzed the co-reflection of pre-service teacher community in three years of post-class discussions (PCD) on the basis of cultural historical activity theory in the case of an biological laboratory class program. We figured out the sociocultural elements of co-reflection of community using activity system suggested by Engestrom. We also analyzed the aspect of reflection in terms of both ``the diversity of reflection subjects`` and ``the practicality of reflection.`` Finally, limitations of co-reflection were sought in a process of continuos circulation of reflection and practice. The results show that the sociocultural factors of 3-year-PCD changed, and in these changes, ``regular PCD,`` ``introduction of tools for facilitating reflection,`` ``transition of the subject in PCD from researcher to pre-service teachers`` are remarkable. And in these process, co-reflection made positive progress since the content of reflection became diverse and practical. However, in some subjects such as ``managing time,`` ``participation of students,`` ``mentor``s role (a kind of teaching manual),`` reflective practice have not developed and similar patterns of discussion were repeated. From these results, we suggested ways of facilitating pre-service teacher community``s co-reflection from the viewpoint of an activity system.

The purpose of this study was to analyze pre-service teachers` reflective discussion on their practical work-based teaching by focusing on the components of instruction and the connectivity of discussion. Eight afterclass discussions were recorded and transcribed, and finally analyzed in terms of theoretically driven categories such as aims, teacher knowledge and learner response which also respectively reflect the actual flow of planning, implementation and evaluation of the teaching practice. The result showed that in their discussion about students, conceptual understanding and scientific skill components were most emphasized, while teaching method and strategy were most frequently addressed in the discussion about teacher knowledge. But this also revealed problems in their discussions such as the lack of discussion about inquiry and student interest, difficulties in clarifying theoretical terms and the lack of discussion about instructional models and theories. Meanwhile, pre-service teachers` discussions were limited in terms of connectivity between the components of instruction, meaning that their discussion tended to deal with each component separately rather than occurred in connection with each other. Furthermore, when connections were made during the discussion, only few components of instruction appeared. Based on this result, the paper suggests the need to develop tools to facilitate effective reflection in ways that incorporate various components of instruction and enhance connectivity between the components and between the instructions.
