가볍고, 유연성(flexibility)을 갖는 박막(thin film)형 플랙서블 태양전지(flexible solar cell)는 상황에 따른 형태의 변형이 가능하여, 휴대가 간편하고, 기존 혹은 신규 구조물의 지붕(rooftop)등에 설치가 용이하여, 차세대 성장 동력 분야에서 각광받고 있다. 그러나 아직까지 플랙서블 태양전지는 제작시 열에 의한 기판의 변형, 기판 이송시 너울 현상, 대면적 패터닝(patterning) 기술 등 많은 어려움 등으로 웨이퍼나 글라스 기판에 제조된 태양전지 대비 낮은 광전환 효율을 갖는다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 플랙서플 태양전지 성능개선을 위해 3.5세대급 (450{times}450cm²) 스퍼터(sputter), 금속유기 화학기상장치 (MOCVD), 플라즈마 화학기상장치 (PECVD), 레이저 가공장치 (Laser scriber)를 이용하여 a-Si:H/a-SiGe:H 이중접합(tandem)을 갖는 태양전지를 제작하였고, 광 변환효율 특성을 평가하였다. 전도도(conductivity), 라만(Raman)분광 및 UV/Visible 분광 분석을 통하여 박막의 전기적, 구조적, 광학적 물성을 평가하여 단위박막의 물성을 최적화 했다. 또한 제작된 태양전지는 쏠라 시뮬레이터 (Solar Simulator)를 이용하여 성능 평가를 수행하였고, 상/하부층의 전류 정합 (current matching)을 위해 외부양자효율 (external quantum efficiency) 분석을 수행하였다. 제작된 이중접합 접이식 태양전지로 소면적(0.25cm²)에서 8.7%, 대면적(360cm² 이상) 8.0% 이상의 효율을 확보하였으며, 성능 개선을 위해 대면적 패턴 기술 향상 및 공정 기술 개선을 수행 중이다.
돼지 H-FABP 유전자의 다형성 및 경제 형질과의 연관성 구명

The purpose of this study was to detect association between genetic variation and economic trait in the porcine heart type fatty acid-binding protein gene as a candidate gene for the traits related with growth and meat quality in pigs. The H-FABP is a 15-kDa protein expressed in several tissues with high demand for fat metabolism such as cardiac and skeletal muscle and lactating mammary gland. H-FABP is small intracellular protein involved in fatty acid transport from the plasma membrane to the site of β-oxidation and/or triacylglycerol or phospholipid synthesis. In this study, H-FABP PCR-RFLP was performed in F_(2) population composed of 214 individuals form an intercross between Korean Native Boars and Landrace sows. PCR products form tow primer sets within H-FABP gene were amplified in 850bp and 700bp. Digestion of PCR products with the restriction digestion enzymes HaeⅢ and Hinf Ⅰ, revealed fragment length polymorphisms(RFL. Ps). The genotype frequencies from H-FABP/HaeⅢ was .29 for genotype DD, .53 for genotype Dd, and .15 for genotype dd, respectively. The genotype frequencies of HH, Hh, and hh from H-FABP(hinf Ⅰ was .38, .41, and .20, respectively, in the population.Relationships between their genotypes and economic traits were estimated. In H-FABP/HaeⅢ locus, there were specific genotypes(Dd and dd) associated with economic traits such as body weight. In H-FABP/Hinf Ⅰ Iocus, Genotypes of HH and Hh associated with growth traits such as body weights at 5, 12, and 30 week of age (p<.05 or p<.001) and back fat thickness, body fat including abdominal and trimmed fat (p<.001) and intramuscular fat(p<.05). The 'H'allele was positivecly associated with gaining of body weight and fatness deposition. In conclusion, a significant association of the H-FABP gene from its genetic variation was found on body weight, intramuscular fat and backfat thickness.

<P>During the outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N6 viruses in 2016 in South Korea, novel H5N8 viruses were also isolated from migratory birds. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that the HA gene of these H5N8 viruses belonged to clade 2.3.4.4, similarly to recent H5Nx viruses, and originated from A/Brk/Korea/Gochang1/14(H5N8), a minor lineage of H5N8 that appeared in 2014 and then disappeared. At least four reassortment events occurred with different subtypes (H5N8, H7N7, H3N8 and H10N7) and a chicken challenge study revealed that they were classified as HPAI viruses according to OIE criteria. <P>In order to investigate discrimination between nuclear recoil and electron recoil events for the KIMS-NaI dark matter search experiment, we measured the pulse shapes produced by neutrons and gamma rays in a NaI(Tl) crystal. Relatively good pulse shape discrimination (PSD) power due to high light output of recently developed crystals makes it possible to test whether the annual modulation signal observed by the DAMA/LIBRA experiment is caused by nuclear recoil events. We applied the PSD to underground data taken with a 9.15 kg low-background and high-light-output NaI(Tl) crystal for 134 days. Good agreement between underground data and electron recoil events was observed.</P>
중부 평야지에서 사일리지용 옥수수 품종 선발에 관한 연구 - 파종시기가 사일리지용 옥수수의 생육특성 및 수량에 미치는 영향 -

This experiment was conducted at theForage Research Farm of the Beef and Dairy Cattle Division, National Livestock Research Institute, Songhwan in 1992 and 1995 to investigate the effects of planting time (April 15, May 11, June 5) on the growth and yield of silage com(Zea mat`s L.). In the plant height, P3144W and DK729 were taller than the others, as 301.6, and 296.3cm, respectively, and P3282 was the shortest as 247.7㎝ at the first planting time. P3144W and DK729 were taller than the others, as 303.6㎝, 281.7㎝, respectively, and P3282 was the shortest as 249.6㎝ at the second planting time. P3144W was the tallest as 276.9㎝. DK689 was the shortest as 246.1㎝ at the third planting time. The ear heights of P3144W and P3282 were 137.3 and 132.7㎝, respectively, and Suweon 19 was the shortest as 116.4㎝ at the first planting time. Those of P3144W and P3282 were as 135.9, 134.4㎝, respectively, and Suwoen 19 was the shortest as 112.1㎝ at the second planting time. P3144W was the tallest as 111.0㎝ and Suweon 19 was the shortest as 94.2㎝ at the third planting time. In the dry matter yield per ha, P3352, DK729 and P3144W were higher than the others as 18,957, 18,840, 18,743㎏, respectively, and P3282 was the lowest as 13,863㎏ at the first planting time. 64743 and P3352 were 18,183 and 17,874㎏, respectively, and Suwoen 19 was the lowest as 15,007㎏ at the second planting time. P3144W was the highest as 19,112㎏ and Suwnen 19 was the lowest as 14,793㎏ at the third planting time. The TDN yield per ha, of P3352, P3144W and DK729 were 13,552, 13,281 and 13,252㎏, respectively, and P3282 was the lowest as 9,793㎏ at the first planting time. 64743 and P3352 were higher than the others as 13,149 and 13,009kg, respectively, and Suwoen 19 was the lowest as 10,872㎏ at the second planting time. P3144W was the highest as 13,521㎏ and Suwven 19 was the lowest as 10,392㎏ at the third planting time.

지중관수의 근본적인 목적은 용수를 절감하고 수분이 작물의 뿌리에 충분히 공급하기 위함이다. 그러나 지중관수를 통하여 뿌리가 수분을 충분히 공급받았는지에 대해서는 토양을 파서 수분을 확인하기 전에는 알 수가 없다. 그래서 농민들은 비록 관수효율이 낮아도 지표면에 흥건히 공급하는 경향이 있다. 지표면 관수는 증발로 인해 약 30~40%의 수분이 소실되고 지표면 이외의 세근이 몰려있는 근권까지 공급하려면 더 많은 용수를 공급해야 가능하다. 지중관수는 여러 연구에서 용수의 절감과 수확의 증대 부분은 확인이 되었다. 그러나 동일한 용수를 공급하더라도 용수의 효율을 높이기 위해 단위시간당 얼마의 량을 공급하는 것이 적절한지에 대한 연구는 거의 이루어지지 않았다. 주된 이유는 토양의 물리성에 따라 표준화가 불가능하고 관수의 공급 방법과 데이터의 수집 등에서 오차가 늘 발생할 수 있기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 미사질양토와 사질토에서 지중 30cm 내부에 4000cc를 2L/H, 4L/H, 8L/H의 Botton type 관수기를 통하여 공급하였을 때, 작물생육에 적용하기 가장 유리한 것은 2L/H라는 것을 확인하였다. 따라서 2L/H의 관수기에서 4000cc 이상 공급할 경우를 예측하여 재배작물(콩)의 생육시기별 근권에 가장 적합한 용수의 공급방법을 설계하였다. 콩의 생육시기는 뿌리가 수직으로 30~40cm 정도 성장하는 크기를 중심으로 설정하였다. 따라서 파종후 10일, 20일, 30일의 근권에 지중관수 용수의 공급을 설계하였다. 토양습윤 양상은 미사질양토와 사질토 모두 단위시간당 공급량이 작을수록 지표면 가까이 상승하므로 생육 초기와 중기까지 단위시간당 용수 공급량이 2L/H가 가장 유리하였다. 파종 후 10일에는 8000cc의 공급도 가능하였고, 20일에는 5000~6000cc, 30일 이후에는 4000cc의 용수가 공급되어도 충분할 것으로 판단되었다.

To detect the circulation of H7 avian influenza viruses, we characterized H7 viruses found in migratory birds and live poultry markets of South Korea from 2005 to 2014. Phylogenic analysis revealed that while all viruses clustered into the Eurasian-lineage of H7 avian viruses, at least 12 distinct genotypes were represented. Most H7 viruses contained at least one gene segment from the highly-pathogenic A/Sck/Hong Kong/YU100/02(H5N1)-like avian virus, and they could be separated into at least two antigenic groups. Although we did not detect genetically identical strains, HI assay demonstrated close cross-reactivity of some isolates with the H7N9 viruses from China. Animal studies revealed that most of the genotypes could replicate in the lungs of mice and chickens without prior adaptation and some, particularly H7N4 and H7N7 subtypes, induced mortality in mice. These results reinforce growing pandemic concerns regarding recent H7 viruses and emphasize the importance of continued surveillance of avian influenza viruses in the wild.

<P>The <I>H</I>0-tension problem poses a confrontation of dark energy driving latetime cosmological expansion measured by the Hubble parameter<I> H</I>(<I>z</I>) over an extended range of redshifts <I>z</I>. Distinct values <I>H</I>0 ≃ 73 km s<SUP>-1</SUP> Mpcs<SUP>-1</SUP> and <I>H</I>0 ≃ 68 km s<SUP>-1</SUP> Mpcs<SUP>-1</SUP> obtain from surveys of the Local Universe and, respectively, ΛCBM analysis of the CMB. These are representative of accelerated expansion with <I>H</I>′(0) ≃ 0 by [see formula in PDF] and, respectively, <I>H</I>′(0) > 0 in ΛCDM, where [see formula in PDF] is a fundamental frequency of the cosmological horizon in a Friedmann-Robertson-Walker universe with deceleration parameter <I>q</I>(<I>z</I>) = -1 + (1+z)<I>H</I><SUP>-1</SUP><I>H</I>′(z). Explicit solution <I>H</I>(z) = <I>H</I>0 [see formula in PDF] and, respectively, <I>H</I>(z) = <I>H</I>0[see formula in PDF] are here compared with recent data on <I>H</I>(<I>z</I>) over 0 ≲ z ≲ 2.The first is found to be free of tension with H0 from local surveys, while the latter is disfavored at 2:7σ A further confrontation obtains in galaxy dynamics by a finite sensitivity of inertia to background cosmology in weak gravity, putting an upper bound of <I>m</I> ≲ 10<SUP>-30</SUP> eV on the mass of dark matter. A <I>C</I><SUP>0</SUP> onset to weak gravity at the de Sitter scale of acceleration <I>adS</I> = <I>cH</I>(<I>z</I>), where <I>c</I> denotes the velocity of light, can be seen in galaxy rotation curves covering 0 ≲ <I>z</I> ≲ 2 Weak gravity in galaxy dynamics hereby provides a proxy for cosmological evolution.</P>
