      • Co(Ⅱ)착물의 금속-리간드 사이의 결합에너지와 실측 리간드화열과의 상관성에 관한 EHT-ZINDO/1 연구

        The correlation was investigated between the obseved heat of ligation and calculated bond energy for octahedral Co(Ⅱ) coHplexes by EHMO(Extended H?ckel Molecular Orbital) and ZINDO/1(Zerner's Intermediate Neglecte of Differential Overlap)method. The net charge of Co2+ion of octahedral [ Co(H2O)6-x(NH3)x]2+ complexes( x= 0, 1‥‥6) is decreased with substituting NH3 for H2O molecule. It was found that a good retationship exists between the observed heat of ligation and the calculated quantum chemical quantities, net charge of central atom, enthalpy of formation, and total dissociation energy. From this fact, we can obtain a linear equation ΔHabs = -0.7728qco +1.2917, ΔHabs =0.0085H?+0.5556, ΔHabs = 0.1279Ediss+0.7510,theoretical equation.

        The purpose of this paper is to survey the present and conduct the way of the leadership education in university, comparative to America, Japan and Korea. There are many programs and courses, and the content of them are diversity and empirical in America University. Specially, the most of MBA have a weight on the leadership education, in the form of school, program, and course. In Japan, the leadership training program is developed at corporation, or consulting firm. Therefor, most university do not have the quality or quantity of leadership education. But now, in the global environment, the university emphasize the importance of leadership or enterpreneurship to develop the individual creativity. In Korea, there is a little program to increase the capacity of leadership in university, also. But with the paradigm shift, new leader or digital leader is focused in many department. In that reason, many university have a special program or seminar. But, there are many problems and challenges to satisfy the desirable quality and quantity.

      • 리더십 敎育의 必要性과 深化를 爲한 一考察

        The purpose of this study is to recognize the necessity of leadership program and build the theoretical model to intensify leadership program in educational curriculum. Under the shift from the industrial society of knowledge-based society, the most important resource is knowledge. Knowledge is embedded to individual, therefor how we can exploit, shard and utilize individual knowledge is main issue in the new society. University has a role to educate the creative and challengeable man who is leading a new society. In Korea, many university attempt to restructure the curriculum to cultivate 'knowledge people'. Expecially, this paper concentrates on leader ship program of Kyongju University, in Korea. Kyongju University restructured the educational curriculum, named KBC(Kyongju Boot Camp) in 1999. Leadership program is one of the key content to practice the new curriculum, KBC. We can't evaluate the performance of leadership program at present stage because it's only starting point. But from the last year's experience and the questionary research, we can require the positive evaluation and recognize the necessity of leadership program. Of course, it's very important to introduce adaptable model and method to intensify the program. The model's key point is interrelationship of student, faculty and educational environment. And, it's effective to utilize the discussion and dialog method in small group.

        서울 강서지역 1개 대학병원에서 성인 급성 신우신염의 원인균과 항생제 감수성

        목적 : 3년간 서울시 강서지역의 1개 대학병원에서 입원치료를 받은 성인 급성 신우신염 환자를 대상으로 원인균과 항생제 감수성을 조사하고, 향후 급성 신우신염의 초기 경험적 치료 항생제를 제안하고자 하였다. 방법 : 1999년 1월부터 2001년 12월까지 3년간 고려대학교 의과대학 구로병원에 상부요로감염으로 내원한 16세 이상 환자 229명의 의무 기록을 검토를 통하여, 인구학적 특성, 원인균, 항생제 감수성, 초기 항생제 사용 양상과 입원기간을 조사하였다. 결과 : 연구에 포함된 229명을 118명의 단순 신우신염군과 111명의 복잡 신우신염군으로 구분 하였다. 단수 신우신염의 평균 발생 연령은 38.2세와 복잡 신우신염 56.1세로 복잡 신우신염 환자의 연령이 유의하게 높았다(P<0.001). 양군 모두에서 원인균 중 E. coli의 분리율이 가장 높았으며 항생제 감수성 결과 ampicillin, trimethoprim-sulfame-thoxazole에는 높은 내성률을 보였고, ciprofloxacin, gentamicin, cefotaxime에 대한 감수성은 비교적 높았으나 복잡 신우신염의 경우 단순 신우신염에 비하여 ciprofloxacin, gentamicin에 대한 감수성이 다소 낮은 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 평균 입원 기간, 항생제 투여 기간에 있어서도 복잡 신우신염군에서 유의하게 길었다. 결과 : 본 연구의 결과 서울의 강서 지역에서 대학병원급에 치료 의뢰되는 단순 급성 신우신염의 치료에 있어 1차 항생제로 3세대 cephalosporin, aminoglycoside, quinolone 중 한가지를 초기 경험적 치료제로 사용을 고려하여야 할 것으로 사료된다. Background : The purpose of this study is to recommend the initial therapeutic regimen for adult patients with acute pyelonephritis (APN) according to the changes of antimicrobial susceptibility patterns of causative microorganisms isolated from patients with APN. Methods : We reviewed medical charts of 229 APN patients, who had been treated at Korea University Guro Hospital from 1st of January. 1999 to 31st of December, 2001. We investigated the demographic data, clinical findings, durations of hospital treatment, antimicrobial susceptibility patterns of the causative microorganisms and initial antibiotic regimens in patients with APN. Results : In this study, 229 adult patients with APN were classified into simple APN patients (118 patients, 51.5%) and complicated APN patients (111 patients, 48.4%). Mean age of patients with simple APN was 38.2±14.1 years old and that of patients with complicated APN was 56.1±14.9 years old. Mean age of patients with complicated APN was significantly higher than that of simple APN patients (P<0.0001). Escherichia coli was the most common microorganism both in simple APN (96.7%) group and in complicated APN (90.6%) group. Antimicrobial susceptibility of E. coli was at the low level of ampicillin (31%/20%) and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole (42.6%/34.2%) in each group. In contrast, ciprofloxacin (11.5%/22.7%), gentamicin (16.4%/22%) and cefotaxime (0%/8.2%) resistance remained at relatively lower level. In comparison of simple APN with complicated APN, ciprofloxacin and gentamicin resistances were higher in complicted APN group. Average duration of hospitalization (5.9±2.3 days/8.2±4.6 days) and duration of antibiotic use (12.1±3.9 days/15.3±10.0 days) were significantly longer in complicated APN. Conclusions: The results of this study suggests that 3rd cephalosporin, aminoglycoside or quinolone antibiotic would considered as one of the initial therapeutic regimen for patients with simple APN in southwestern Seoul.

      • 초정밀 가공기를 위한 다극자석 선형 모터와 초정밀 스테이지 설계

        본 논문은 초정밀 가공기에 적용 가능한 6자유도의 운동이 가능한 초정밀 스테이지의 설계를 기술한다. 본 초정밀 스테이지는 특히, 광학을 이용한 가공기와 절삭력이 작은 가공기에 적합하다. 스테이지는 장행정·단행정 스테이지로 구성된 이중 서보를 채택한다. 장행정 스테이지는 초정밀 운동에 방해가 되는 운동을 줄이며 높은 효율을 갖는 다극 자석 배열을 이용한 선형모터를 사용한다. 그리고 단행정 스테이지는 장행정 스테이지와의 기계적 결합에 의한 구조적 영향성을 없애는 개념을 적용할 수 있는 보이스 코일 모터을 이용한다. 그리고 각 구동부는 최상의 성능을 유지할 수 있도록 최적설계를 수행한다.

        재발한 지주막하 포도낭미충증의 Albendazole 치험 1예

        뇌실이나 뇌기조에 발생하는 포도낭미충증은 매우 드물며 유구조충 유충의 머리부분이 변성되면서 발생하는 낭성 막의 비정상적인 성장을 특징으로 한다. 이러한 유형의 병변은 지름술 후에도 진행적인 경과를 보이며 아직까지 항기생충제를 이용한 치료 사례들이 적고, 따라서 가장 적절한 치료 기간도 알려져 있지 않다. 본 증례 보고는 재발한 실비우스 틈새의 포도낭미충증 환자에서 4주간의 albendazole과 스테로이드로 효과적으로 치료하였던 예이다. 환자는 praziquantel과 뇌복막지름술로 치료를 받고도 포도상의 뇌실질외형의 병변이 악화되어, 뇌척수액 투과가 좋은 것으로 알려진 albendazole로 치료제를 바꾼 뒤 병변의 수와 크기가 감소였으며 이후 2년 간의 추척기간동안 다른 발작 없이 잘 지내고 있다. 지주막하의 포도낭미충증은 albendazole과 corticosteroid 치료에 잘 반응하는 것으로 보인다. The so-called racemose cysticercosis, a rare variety of neurocysticercosis occurring in ventricles or basal cisterns, is characterized by abnormal growth of cystic membranes with degeneration of Taenia solium heads (scolex). Although lesions of this type are known to follow a progressive course even after ventricular shunting, there are limitations of case series treated with antiparasitic drugs, and the optimal duration of the treatment is not yet known. We report a case of relapsed racemose cysticercosis in the Sylvian fissure, who has been successfully treated with albendazole and adjunct corticosteroid for 4 weeks. The patient had been previously treated with praziquantel and ventricul-operitoneal shunt, and maintained on the anticonvulsant drug for one year, but returned to the hospital due to seizure recurrence. The patient has been well in seizure-free state for the follow-up 2 years after albendazole therapy. The subarachnoid racemose cysticercosis seems to respond well to treatment of corticosteroid along with prolonged albendazole.

        Characterization of pig vasa homolog gene and specific expression in germ cell lineage

        <P>The vasa gene is known to be an important factor for germ cell development in both invertebrates and vertebrates. In the present study, we cloned the porcine vasa homolog (Pvh, 2,172 bps) and investigated its expression at mRNA and protein levels. The isolated cDNA had deduced 724 amino acid residues with significant homology to mouse (85%) and human (91%) vasa. In adult tissues, Pvh transcript was restricted to the ovary and testis, and was undetectable in somatic tissues. During preimplantation embryo development, Pvh was transcribed in oocytes and fertilized 2-cell embryos, but not in other preimplantation embryos. In fetal stage, the transcript of Pvh gene was expressed in all fetal stage, except in day 17–18. Immunohistochemical analysis of fetal and adult gonad revealed that the Pvh protein was localized in oocytes and spermatocytes, consistent with mRNA expression. Interestingly, Pvh protein was also observed in proliferating primordial germ cells (PGCs) and freshly isolated PGCs, but not in embryonic germ cells.         Anti-Cancer Effects of High-Purity Edible Sulfur on Immortalized and Malignant Human Oral Keratinocytes

        Sulfur is commonly used in Asia as a n herba l medicine to treat infl ammation and cancel‘. and potent chemopreventive effects have been demonstrated in various in vivo and in vitromodels for sulfur-containing compounds found in naturally occun‘ ing products. Here, we report the growth inhibitory and apoptosis-related effects of a newly developedhigh- purity eclible sulfur (ES) on immortali zecl human oral keratinocytes (IHOKs) and on oral cancer cells representing two stages of oral can cer (HN4‘ HN12) basecl on an 3-(4. 5-Dimethylt hiazol-2-yl)-2.5-cliphenyl tetrazolium bromide (MTT) a ssay, Western blotting, cell cycle analysis, ancl nuclear staining. The puri ty of the ES used in th is s tucly was verified by high performance liquid chromat ography (HPLC) , amino acid analysis and energy di spersive spectroscopy (EDS). ES inhibitecl the proliferation of immor talized and malignant oral kerati nocytes in a dose- and time-dependent manner FITC-Annexin V staining. DNA fragmentation testing. and Hoechst 33258 staining revealed that ES inhibits cell growth via apoptosis . ES blocked cell-cycle progression at the sub- Gl phase, with decreased expression 0 1' cyclins Dl, D2, and E, and t heir activating partners cdk2, cdk4, and cdk6‘ and a concomitant induction of p53 and p21/WAF1.
