타셈 싱의 영화 <더 폴>에 나타난 ‘이야기하기’의 상호작용성 연구

The Fall(2006) is film director Tarsem Singh’s second film. Previously a TV commercial director who also worked on MTV, Singh rendered powerful, dreamlike images that reflect his previous experience in his film debut piece, The Cell (2000). The perception of Singh as a ‘visualist’ is, however, a double-edged sword that invites the criticism that his stories are weak compared to his resplendent images. But a closer examination of the narrative structure of Tarsem Singh’s The Cell, The Fall, and Mirror, Mirror(2012) reveals a common demonimator: storytelling. This article examines storytelling as an important motif in Singh’s works, in particular The Fall, which uses storytelling as its theme. The Fall is structured as a story Roy, a stuntman paralyzed from the waist down, tells Alexandria, a young girl he meets at the hospital. The world of his story unfolds like an epic that is a reflection of Roy the narrator’s daily life and psychological world, which then Alexandria the audience turns into ‘a magical vision’. Through this process, we can confirm an organic connection between a fantastical story and the reality outside the story. The story, first incited by the narrator’s allure and the audience’s curiosity, saves both Roy and Alexandria from their ‘fallen’ lives. The two characters project the wounds of their realities into the story, and heal the sense of loss by experiencing it repeatedly in the story. The narrator and audience are transformed by the story itself as well as the interplay between two people. The ‘fallen’ work their way through the damaged world by sharing a fantastical story they weave together. This is the true strength of storytelling, and the reason the tradition has endured.

Accurate estimation of battery State of Charge (SOC) is a crucial factor for the safe and efficient usage of the batteries in hybrid electric vehicles. The combined method of Coulomb counting and Open circuit Voltage (OCV) is already under practical usage for the estimation of battery SOC, but the methods have significant error when there is parasitic current leakage (dark current) or short rest period. Thus, Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) is one of the battery SOC estimation methods used to overcome such drawbacks. And, most importantly, due to structural dependency of EKF upon battery model, the battery model used for the EKF contributes significantly to the accuracy of EKF. Thus, in this paper, 3 types of battery Equivalent Circuit Models (ECMs) including second order RC model, first order RC model, and R model are compared under practical vehicle driving conditions. To simulate the vehicle driving condition, a micro Hybrid Electric Vehicle (micro-HEV) is modeled and simulation is conducted under NEDC condition.

Primary care lays the foundation of national healthcare systems, but it has been weak in playing its role correctly because of legal and environmental attributes surrounding the healthcare industry in Korea. This study is conducted to concretize the definition and scope of primary care and to deduce its standard functions to contribute to establishing the healthcare delivery system and appropriate healthcare systems embracing socio-environmental leverage. The term primary healthcare institution was adopted based on literature review to achieve the research goal. The principle diseases appropriate for the primary healthcare institution based on ambulatory care sensitive conditions were analyzed, and the standard functions were deduced by matching these diseases with current procedural terminologies using CrossCoder package. Based on the analysis,the primary healthcare institution-specific diseases were 53 specific diseases under 23 broad disease groups. The standard functions were deduced in three categories of the standard functions of the entire primary healthcare institutions with 100% frequency, common standard functions with 70% frequency, and peculiar standard functions specific to diseases or body systems. These functions included outpatient evaluation and measurement, various factor tests through blood collection, and X-ray. Establishing the standard functions for the primary healthcare institution can promote patient reliability on primary care, alleviate health demand congestion toward large-sized advanced healthcare institutions. Furthermore, it contributes to establishing and reinforcing other healthcare policies related to the healthcare reimbursement system and referral system, and fosters primary care physician education. Most importantly, it reduces the national health expenditures by realizing efficient and effective healthcare delivery.

배경/목적: 거대 종괴를 형성하고 문맥 혈전증을 동반한 진행성 간암의 치료로 간동맥에 도관을 유치시킨 후 항암제를 투여하는 간동맥 화학요법이 생존기간 연장에 효과가 있다는 보고와 오히려 간부전을 유발하여 생존 기간을 연장시키지 못한다는 상반된 보고가 있었다. 이에 연자들은 간동맥 화학요법이 이러한 환자들의 생존기간에 미치는 효과 및 그에 관여하는 인자들을 알아보고자 치료-대조군 연구를 시행하였다. 대상 및 방법: 2002년 3월부터 2004년 2월까지
