        장애물 격자지도 기반 가상차선 추정 기법

        Navigation in outdoor environments is a fundamental and challenging problem for unmanned ground vehicles. Detecting lane markings or boundaries on the road may be one of the solutions to make navigation easy. However, because of various environments and road conditions, a robust lane detection is difficult. In this paper, we propose a new approach for estimating virtual lanes on a traversable region. Estimating the virtual lanes consist of two steps: (i) we detect virtual road region through road model selection based on traversability at current frame and similarity between the interframe and (ii) we estimate virtual lane using the number of lane on the road and results of previous frame. To improve the detection performance and reduce the searching region of interests, we use a probability map representing the traversability of the outdoor terrain. In addition, by considering both current and previous frame simultaneously, the proposed method estimate more stable virtual lanes. We evaluate the performance of the proposed approach using real data in outdoor environments.

        Implementation of Light-weight I/O Stack for NVMe-over-Fabrics

        Most of today's large-scale cloud systems and enterprise data centers are distributing resources to improve scalability and resource utilization. NVMe-over-Fabric protocol allows submitting NVMe commands to a remote NVMe SSD through RDMA (Remote Direct Memory Access) network. It is attracting attention recently because it is possible to construct a disaggregation storage system with low latency through the protocol. However, the current I/O stack of NVMe-over-Fabric has an inefficient structure for maintaining compatibility with the traditional I/O stack. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a new mechanism to reduce I/O latency and CPU overhead by modifying I/O path of NVMe-over-Fabric to pass through legacy block layer. According to the performance evaluation results, the proposed mechanism is able to reduce the I/O latency and CPU overhead by up to 22% and 24% compared to the existing NVMe-over-Fabrics protocol, respectively.

        To evaluate the usefulness of ultrasonography for the diagnosis of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). Subjects and Methods:A retrospective study of 58 patients with PTC who confirmed pathologic diagnosis between March 2000 and January 2008. Ultrasonographic (USG) and fine needle aspiration cytologic (FNAC) diagnosis have been compared with the pathologic diagnosis in all patients. Results:A total of 58 patients, 13 males and 45 females, underwent USG and FNAC of the thyroid nodules and confirmed pathologic results. The average age was 51.61 years. The positive predictive value of FNAC was 86.2% and USG was 89.7%. Diagnostic rate of malignancy in USG or FNAC was 98.3%. In the true positive rate of suspicious malignant nodule of USG finding, marked hypoechoic was 100%, microcalcification 87.8%,well-defined spiculated margin 67%, macrocalcification 62.5%, and taller than wide 60%. Conclusions:Our results identified that positive predictive value of USG was 89.7% in the diagnosis of the PTC. And among the suspicious malignant nodule in USG findings, marked hypoechoic and microcalcification were more reliable than other findings. Technique that combine USG and FNAC is more accurate than either technique alone. (J Clinical Otolaryngol 2009; 20:55-59)

        뉴미디어의 정치경제학:영화의 발명과 감각의 경제

        This essay is a theoretical proposal for the political economy of cinema. Marx began his political economy by analyzing money’s function as the representative of exchange value, which measures the amount of labor power invested in the production of a commodity. In the political economy of cinema, the positions of money, commodity, and labor in Marx’s theory correspond to cinema as media,cognitive forms produced by cinema, and cognition as labor. Dziga Vertov said that a movie camera analyzes the perceived world into interrelated intervals of sense elements, while Eisenstein studied the cinematic cognition as a kind of neural activity which physiologically rearranges these intervals. What their arguments imply is that cinema’s analytic operation, which converts a perceived object into an array of molecular sensations and let them flow through viewers’ nervous system, has changed the socio-historical structure of human field of perception. Through the mediation of camera and projector, the physical side of perceptual field has been exposed as a phenomenological horizon filled with distracted sensations, and the cognition as a conscious process has began to be understood in terms of neural exchange and rearrangement of sensations in reflexive circuits of a nervous system. If this rearrangement can be considered a sort of labor that a nervous system connected to technologies performs, we could regard the cognitive forms yielded by cinema as the products of this laboring. The political economy of cinema describes how the movie camera has liquidated the traditional field of perception into sense elements exchangeable between machines and human nervous systems, how the projector has synthesized them into new cognitive forms, and how the human subjects of cognition and desire has been reproduced from the mechanic and neural rearrangements of sensations in theaters. 본 논문은 영화의 정치경제학에 대한 이론적 제안이다. 맑스의 정치경제학은 화폐가 교환가치의 표상으로 기능하는 방식에 대한 분석으로부터 시작된다. 화폐는 특정한 상품의 생산에 투여된 노동력의 양을 표상함으로, 상이한 상품형식들 사이의등가교환을 가능하게 한다. 영화의 정치경제학은 맑스의 이론에서 ‘화폐’, ‘상품’,‘노동력’의 위치에, 각각 영화가 (재)생산한 ‘인지형식들’, 약호로서 ‘뉴미디어’, 그리고대중의 ‘인지’를 대입한다. 지가 베르토프는 영화적 테크놀로지의 작동이 지각된 세계를 동역학적 에너지들의“간격”으로 분석한다고 말한바 있다. 반면 에이젠슈타인은 영화적 인지가 이 동역학적간격들을 하나의 지각으로 가공(몽타주)하는 신경계의 작동으로부터 생산된다고 주장했다. 이들의 논의는 1/24초의 간격으로 점멸하는 영화의 이미지들이 ‘지각된 세계’와‘지각하는 주체’ 양자에 미친 영향을 암시한다. 영화의 작동에 의해 물리적 지각장은감각적 미립자들의 정신분산적 평면으로 현상하며, 주체의 인지는 이 미립자들이 기계적, 생리학적 재배열로 이해된다. 이 재배열-인지를 카메라-영사기와 접속한 신경계의 노동으로 간주한다면, 영화가 산출한 인지의 새로운 형식들은 이 노동의 생산품이다. 영화의 정치경제학은, 전통적 지각장을 감각적 미립자들로 ‘청산’하는 카메라의작동과 이 미립자들로부터 새로운 인지형식이 ‘종합’되는 영사의 과정, 그리고 이 분자적 감각들로부터 주체의 인지능력과 욕망이 ‘재생산’되는 과정을 서술한다.

        Clinical Analysis of Patients with Spontaneous Subarachnoid Hemorrhage of Initial Negative Angiography

        Objective : The purpose of this study was to reveal the incidence of subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) of initial negative an-giography and to find a useful method of follow up angiography through retrospective review. Additional objective was to de-termine the relationship between the hidden aneurysm and initial Computed Tomography (CT) pattern (i.e. amount and dis-tribution of SAH). Methods : Among 593 cases of spontaneous SAH performed initial cerebral angiography, 83 (12%) patients did not show any identifiable vascular lesions in initial angiographic studies. Repeated angiographic studies were performed in 67 patients by using transfemoral catheter angiography (TFCA) in 26 patients, CT angiography (CTA) in 39 and Magnetic Resornance (MR) angiography in 2. Results : Ten (15%) out of 67 patients who underwent repeated angiography revealed aneurysms. At the comparison of initial CT scan and repeated angiography, 31 patients had thick layer of blood and 25% of these patients revealed aneurysms on repeated angiography (P=0.05). According to the initial CT pattern, 38 patients had diffuse blood distribution and 23% of these patients revealed aneurysms on repeated angiography (P=0.05). The timing of follow up angiography was 8.5 ± 6.0 days (mean ± SD) after ictus and CTA was applied in the earlier period than TFCA. Conclusions : If initial CT scans show thick layer of SAH or diffuse type of blood distribution in patients with initial negative angiography, re-peated angiographic study should be performed to find hidden vascular lesions. CT angiography might be useful in the detection of hidden aneurysm early in the course.
