        The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the concentration of economic power in Korea, and to suggest the policy options for the promotion of industrial competition. The emergence of large economic groups in the process of economic development has been observed in many developing countries as an unfavorable legacy of growth. Even though the business conglomerates had substantially contributed to the economic development, the concentration of economic activities by several large firms inevitably brings in many negative consequences. The subject of economic concentration has not yet received much attention in Korea. However, the economic concentration by the economic groups, jaibul, has been indicated as one of the significant problems in the current Korean economy. It has emerged as a primary task for the transition of Korea to the rank of mature industrialized economy. This thesis suggests the following policy options to regulate the economic concentration, and to promote industrial competition. First, it will be desirable to expand the competitiveness of small and medium sized firms rather than directly restricting the scale of business conglomerates. Secondly, in order to increase the fair of distribution of ownership, the followings options are necessary in a longterm perspective : the improvement of equity in income distribution, enhancing the profitability of companies, reducing the rate of intercorporate ownership of stocks, increasing tax burdens on capital gains and speculative property and establishing the sense of responsibility and social ethics in business. Third, promoting small and medium sized firms along with import competition would eventually lead to a reorganization of business conglomerates. This competition policy will accelerate to eliminate the protective measures for the larger firms, and eventually lead to the diversification of the conglomerates.

      • 유도전동기의 결함 검출을 위한 특징 벡터 추출 및 다층 서포트 벡터 머신 기법

        본 논문에서는 유도 전동기의 결함을 조기에 검출하고 진단하기 위해 이산 코사인 변환과 특이치 분해를 이용한 결함 특징 벡터 추출 방법을 제안하였고, 추출한 특징 벡터를 다층 서포트 벡터 머신의 입력으로 이용하여 유도 전동기의 결함 을 유형별로 분류하는 기법을 기술하였다. 모의실험 결과, 제안한 방법은 5가지의 결함 데이터에 대해 거의 100%의 분류 성능을 보였다. This paper proposes a method of feature vector extraction using discrete cosine transform(DCT) and singular value decomposition(SVD) for early detection of faults in an induction motor. This, the extracted feature vector is used as an input of multi-layer support vector machine(MLSVM) to classify each fault of the induction motor. Experimental results show that the proposed method achieves 100% accuracy to classify among 5 different faults.

        Emerging Endotypes of Chronic Rhinosinusitis and Its Application to Precision Medicine

        Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) is a heterogeneous inflammatory disease with various underlying pathophysiologic mechanisms which translate to endotypes, in contrast to clinical phenotypes or histological subtypes. Defining endotypes can help clinicians predict disease prognosis, select subjects suitable for a specific therapy, and assess risks for comorbid conditions, including asthma. Therefore, with recent advancement of biologicals in CRS clinical trials, endotyping can be a breakthrough in treating recalcitrant CRS. CRS is caused by dysregulated immunologic responses to external stimuli, which induce various inflammatory mediators from inflammatory cells, including innate lymphoid cells (ILCs) and T lymphocytes as well as epithelial cells. Thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP), interleukin (IL)-25, and IL-33, which are mainly secreted by epithelial cells in response to external stimuli, act on type 2 ILCs and T helper 2 (Th2) cells, inducing IL-4, IL-5, and IL-13. Local immunoglobulin E (IgE) production is also a signature event in nasal polyps (NP). These inflammatory mediators are novel potential therapeutic targets for recalcitrant CRS. This article reviews recent publications regarding endotypes and endotype-based therapeutic strategies in CRS and NP.

        코딩기반 기초조형 교육을 위한 융합과목 개발연구

        본 논문은 대학의 예술 및 디자인 같은 IT비전공자를 대상으로 코딩을 활용해서 기초조형교육을 가르치기 위한 융합과목개발 연구다. 조형요소인 형태, 색, 공간과 조형원리인 율동, 강조, 통일, 균형의 속성과 개념을 진화심리학 관점에서 이해하고 코딩으로 미디어아트작품을 제작해보면서 기초조형원리를 체득하는 것을 목표로 삼는다. 조형원리에 대한 이론교육은 진화심리학으로 설명하면 좀 더 실증적인 설명이 가능하다. 조형원리는 예술작품에 대한미학적 느낌과 감정을 드러내는 것이기 때문에 인간의 본성이 어떻게 진화했는지 연구하는 진화심리학이 적절한 배경이론이 된다. 그리고 코딩교육은 조형요소/원리들과 대응시켜 이해한다. 형태는 도형명령어/함수, 색은 color명령어, 공간은 렌더링명령어와 대응시키고, 조형원리인 율동은 변수, 강조는 조건문, 통일은 반복문, 균형은 배열과 대응시켜 이해하고, 기초조형원리에 입각한 예제를 따라해 볼 수 있도록 설계했다. 이렇게 대응시킨 기준은 조형언어와 코딩문법의 개념이 유사거나 다른 코딩 명령어와 결합해서 조형원리를 재현하는 최적화된 방법을 만들어 내는 것들을 대응시켰다. 더불어 코딩 초급자가 조형원리를 이해하기 쉽게 만들기 위함이다. 교과목은 크게 6가지 주제로나누고 15주차 강의로 설계되었으며 한 강의 안에 이론강의, 기초실습, 고급실습 과정의 흐름을 갖는다. 코딩기반으로 기초조형감각을 키울 수 있는 융합교과목은 예술과 공학이 자연스럽게 융복합되면서 새로운 미디어콘텐츠를 창작할 수 있는 컴퓨팅사고력을 갖춘 인재로 성장할 수 있다고 본다. This paper presents a study on the development of a hybrid course that uses coding to teach basic art education to non-IT majors in universities, such as art and design. The goal of the course is to understand the properties and concepts of the elements of form, such as shape, color, and space, and the principles of form, such as rhythm, emphasis, unity, and balance, from the perspective of evolutionary psychology, and to acquire the basic principles of form by creating media art works with coding. Theoretical education on the principles of form can be explained more empirically with evolutionary psychology. Because the principles of form reveal the aesthetic feeling and emotion of art works, evolutionary psychology, which studies how human nature has evolved, is a suitable background theory. Coding education is understood by corresponding to the elements of form/principles. Shape is correlated to shape commands/functions, color is correlated to color commands, space is correlated to rendering commands, and the principle of rhythm is correlated to variables, emphasis is correlated to conditional statements, unity is correlated to loops, and balance is correlated to arrays. The course is designed to allow students to follow examples based on the basic principles of form. The criteria for matching are those that create an optimized method for reproducing the principles of form by combining the concepts of formal language and coding grammar, or by combining them with other coding commands. Additionally, this is done to make it easier for beginners in coding to understand the principles of form. The course is divided into 6 major topics and designed as a 15-week lecture. Within one lecture, there is a flow of theoretical lectures, basic practice, and advanced practice. We believe that the hybrid course, which can enhance basic art sense based on coding, can grow into a talented person with computational thinking skills who can create new media contents by naturally integrating art and engineering.
