        Brucella abortus 국내 분리주의 Heat Shock Protein 암호 groE 유전자의 염기서열 분석과 발현

        GroE that is a heat shock protein composed of GroEL and GroES is known as an immunodominant target of both the humoral and cellular immune responses in bovine brucellosis. This study was carried out to characterize groE gene encoding heat shock proteins of B. abortus isolated in Korea and to evaluate the immunogenicity of the GroE protein expressed in E. coli system. In PCR the specific signals with the size of 2,077 bp were detected in five strains isolated from the mammary lymphnodes of the dairy cattle that were serologically positive and the reference strains. In comparison of the sequences of nucleotides and amino acids among the strains, GroES showed 100% identity in both sequences. GroEL was evaluated 99.0~99.9% in nucleotides and 98.0~100% homology in amino acids. The groE gene including groES and groEL was inserted into pET29a vector and constructed pET29a-GroE recombinant plasmids. The inserted groE was confirmed by digestion with Nco1 and EcoR1 endonucleases and nucleotide sequencing. E. coli BL (DE3) was transformed with pET29a-GroE, named as E. coli BL (DE3)/pET29a-GroE. In SDS-PAGE, it was evident that the recombinant plasmid effectively expressed the polypeptides for GroES (10 kDa) and GroEL (60 kDa) in 0.5, 1 and 2 hours after IPTG induction. The immuno-reactivity of the expressed proteins were proved in mouse inoculation and Western blot analysis.

        Degradation Behavior of 850 nm AlGaAs/GaAs Oxide VCSELs Suffered from Electrostatic Discharge

        The effect of forward and reverse electrostatic discharge (ESD) on the electro-optical characteristics of oxide vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers is investigated using a human body model for the purpose of understanding degradation behavior. Forward ESD-induced degradation is complicated, showing three degradation phases depending on ESD voltage, while reverse ESD-induced degradation is relatively simple, exhibiting two phases of degradation divided by a sudden distinctive change in electro-optical characteristics. We demonstrate that the increase in the threshold current is mainly due to the increase in leakage current, nonradiative recombination current, and optical loss. The decrease in the slope efficiency is mainly due to the increase in optical loss.

        GNU Radio 기반 블루투스 통신 취약점 분석

        일반적으로 스마트 도어락을 이용한 공공 시설물 관리 시스템은 블루투스 무선 통신 구간에서 항상 보안 취약점을 가지게 된다. 특히 인증 절차 과정에서 비밀키와 같은 중요한 정보를 교환할 때는 주로 무선 구간에서 공격자에 노출될 위험이 높다. 그러므로 무선 구간에서 교환되는 정보는 적절하게 암호화되어 전송될 필요가 있다. 지하철 환기구와 같은 공공 시설물 관리 시스템의 보안 취약점을 분석하기 위해서 GNU Radio 플랫폼과 HackRF 장비의 도입을 통해 소프트웨어적 전력분석 공격이 효율적으로 수행 가능함을 확인하였다. 실험장비를 통해 얻어진 무선 패킷은 패킷 타입, CRC, 데이터 길이 및 데이터 등으로 간단하게 디코딩할 수 있으며 이는 보안취약점 개선에 활용될 예정이다. In general, automatic access control management system using smart door-lock must be always exposed to security vulnerability during wireless communication based on Bluetooth. In particular, important information such as a secrete key can be exposed to the attacker when the authentication protocol has been operating in the wireless section. Therefore important information exchanged in the radio section needs to be properly encrypted. In order to analyze security vulnerability for automatic access control management system of public facilities such as subway vent, GNU Radio platform and HackRF device will be considered and experimented. Proposed experimental system to perform software based power analysis attack could be very effectively applied. As a result, important information such as packet type, CRC, length of data, and data value can be easily decoded from wireless packet obtained from HackRF device on GNU Radio platform. Constructed experimental system will be applied to avoid some security problems.

        Paper-Based Radial Flow Assay Integrated to Portable Isothermal Amplification Chip Platform for Colorimetric Detection of Target DNA

        A novel integrated detection system that introduces a paper-chip-based molecular detection strategy into a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) microchip and temperature control system was developed for on-site colorimetric detection of DNA. For the paper chip-based detection strategy, a padlock probe DNA (PLP)-mediated rolling circle amplification (RCA) reaction for signal amplification and a radial flow assay according to the Au-probe labeling strategy for visualization were optimized and applied for DNA detection. In the PDMS chip, the reactions for ligation of target-dependent PLP, RCA, and labeling were performed one-step under isothermal temperature in a single chamber, and one drop of the final reaction solution was loaded onto the paper chip to form a radial colorimetric signal. To create an optimal analysis environment, not only the optimization of molecular reactions for DNA detection but also the chamber shape of the PDMS chip and temperature control system were successfully verified. Our results indicate that a detection limit of 14.7 nM of DNA was achieved, and non-specified DNAs with a single-base mismatch at the target DNA were selectively discriminated. This integrated detection system can be applied not only for single nucleotide polymorphism identification, but also for pathogen gene detection. The adoption of inexpensive paper and PDMS chips allows the fabrication of cost-effective detection systems. Moreover, it is very suitable for operation in various resource-limited locations by adopting a highly portable and user-friendly detection method that minimizes the use of large and expensive equipment.

        In severe accident conditions of light water reactors, the loss of coolant may cause problems in integrity of zirconium fuel cladding. Under the condition of the loss of coolant, the zirconium fuel cladding can be exposed to high temperature steam and reacted with them by producing of hydrogen, which is caused by the failure in oxidation resistance of zirconium cladding materials during the loss of coolant accident scenarios. In order to avoid these problems, we develop a multi-metallic layered composite (MMLC) fuel cladding which compromises between the neutronic advantages of zirconium-based alloys and the accident-tolerance of non-zirconium-based metallic materials. Cold pilgering process is a common tube manufacturing process, which is complex material forming operation in highly non-steady state, where the materials undergo a long series of deformation resulting in both diameter and thickness reduction. During the cold pilgering process, MMLC claddings need to reduce the outside diameter and wall thickness. However, multi-layers of the tube are expected to occur different deformation processes because each layer has different mechanical properties. To improve the utilization of the pilgering process, 3-dimensional computational analyses have been made using a finite element modeling technique. We also analyze the dimensional change, strain and stress distribution at MMLC tube by considering the behavior of rolls such as stroke rate and feed rate.

        The ultimate aims of display market is transparent or flexible. Researches have been carried out for various applications. It has been possible to reduced the process steps and get good electrical properties for semiconductors with large optical bandgaps. Oxide semiconductors have been established as one of the leading and promising technology for next generation display panels. In this paper, alternative treatment processes have been tried for oxide semiconductors of thin film transistors to increase the electrical properties of the thin film transistors and to investigate the mechanisms. There exist a various oxide semiconductors. Here, we focused on InGaZnO, ZnO and InSnZnO which are commercialized or researched actively.

        Ti-2Al-9.2Mo-2Fe 합금의 후공정 특성에 미치는 보론의 영향

        Titanium has many special characteristics such as specific high strength, low elastic modulus, excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance, etc. Beta titanium alloys, because of their good formability and strength, are used for jet engines, and as turbine blades in the automobile and aerospace industries. Low cost beta titanium alloys were developed to take economic advantage of the use of low-cost beta stabilizers such as Mo, Fe, and Cr. Generally, adding a trace of boron leads to grain refinement in casted titanium alloys due to the pinning effect of the TiB phases. This study analyzed and evaluated the microstructural and mechanical properties after plastic deformation and heat treatment in boron-modified Ti-2Al-9.2Mo-2Fe alloy. The results indicate that a trace of boron addition made grains finer; this refinement effect was found to be maintained after subsequent processes such as hot forging and solution treatment. This can effectively reduce the number of required manufacturing process steps and lead to savings in the overall cost as well as low-cost beta elements.

        Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser(VCSEL)는 짧은 공진기(cavity)와 여러 층의 distributed Bragg reflector(DBR)층을 거울로 사용하기 때문에, edge-emitting lasers(EELs)와는 달리, 광출력 및 변환효율 등의 예측이 쉽지 않다. 그 주된 원인은 VCSEL에서는 Fabry-Perot 레이저와는 달리, 각각의 DBR 거울 층들이 손실을 가지고 있기 때문으로 이에 따라 상/하향광출력 비나 변환효율을 계산해 내는 데에 어려움이 있다. 그러나 전달 행렬 방법(transfer matrix method, TMM)을 이용하면, VCSEL과 같은 여러 층을 갖는 구조에서의 성능 지수를 정확히 계산할 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 전달 행렬 방법을 이용하여 VCSEL의 구조 변화에 따른 문턱이득, 문턱전류 밀도 및 변환효율을 구하였으며 문턱전류 및 변환효율 모두를 고려한 VCSEL의 최적 구조 설계 기법을 제시하였다. In comparison with edge-emitting lasers(EELs), predicting the output power and slope efficiency of Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Lasers(VCSELs) is very difficult due to the absorption loss in DBR layers. However, by using transfer matrix method(TMM), we've made possible to calculate such parameters of multi-layer structures like VCSELs. In this paper, we've calculated the threshold gain, threshold current and slope efficiency through the methodology based on TMM. Also TMM is the way of customizing the VCSEL structure for the desired threshold current and slope efficiency by changing the number of DBR mirror layers.

        간혈부족(肝血不足)으로 변증한 진전(振顫)환자 치험(治驗) 1례(例)

        Tremor is a rhythmic and involuntary muscular contraction characterized by oscillations of a part of the body. The most common of all involuntary movements, tremor can affect various body parts such as hands, head, facial structures, vocal cords, trunk, and legs; most tremors, however, occur in the hands. Clinically, tremor is classified into postural tremor, resting tremor, action tremor, and other kinds of tremor, and treated according to the causes. The author reports the improvement of the patient, hospitalized at Dong Seo Medical Center, whose tremor was not classified specifically in western medicine but was diagnosed as Ganhyeolbujok (肝血不足) by Korean medicine.
