With different seed adhesion methods, we obtained two different aspects with or without micro-bubble in the interface between a seed and a dense graphite seed holder. To improve the quality of SiC wafer, we introduced a sucrose caramelizing step at the seed adhesion using the sucrose, The n-type 2 inch single crystal exhibiting the polytype of 6H-SiC were successfully fabricated and carrier concentration levels of about $10^{16}/cm^3$ was determined from Hall measurements, As compared to the characteristics of SiC crystal grown with micro-bubble in the interface between the seed and the dense graphite seed holder, the SiC crystal grown without micro-bubble definitely exhibited lower resistivity, lower micropipe density and higher mobility relatively.
OECD QSAR Application Toolbox를 이용한 화학물질의 건강유해성 및 생태독성 예측

Objectives: The OECD QSAR Application Toolbox was developed by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) to facilitate the practical use of QSAR approaches in regulatory contexts as well as to reduce the need for additional animal testing. In this study, human health and the ecotoxicity of chemicals were predicted by applying the OECD QSAR Application Toolbox and the results were compared with experimental data in order to evaluate the applicability of this program. Methods: Read-across, trend analysis, and QSAR of OECD QSAR Application Toolbox were used for the prediction of toxicity. Results: The toxicity prediction was conducted on 6,354 chemicals for which toxicity data have been produced on the six endpoints of skin sensitization, skin irritation, eye irritation, mutagenicity, and acute toxicities of fish and Daphnia. From the total of 6,354, we obtained prediction results for 1,621 chemicals (25.5%). Conclusions: The predicted properties of mutagenicity, skin sensitization, and acute aquatic toxicities were reasonably good when compared with experimental data, but other endpoints were not due to the limitation of applicable chemical groups.

As concerns regarding water pollution grow, the need increases for a fast and accurate assessment of ecological risk. In this context, many studies have been conducted to identify biomarkers which can sensitively indicate exposure to and effects of various contaminants in a water environment. However, the utility of most such biomarkers in the real water environment is not yet validated. In this paper, we conducted a thorough review of publications that were related to developing or evaluating molecular and biochemical biomarkers of freshwater fish in ecological risk assessment, and evaluated whether these biomarkers of interest could link to the effects on higher biological levels, such as histopathology and above. Biomarkers of interest included those associated with metabolism, oxidative stress, reproduction and endocrine disruption, genotoxicity, and defense against heavy metal exposure. We found that, when used alone, most molecular and biochemical biomarkers are not sufficient to understand the effects of toxic substances in higher biological levels, due to defense or acclimation mechanisms of organisms. Moreover, some biomarkers respond not only to hazardous substances but also to the changes in water quality and disease outbreak. Molecular and biochemical biomarkers may be most useful in understanding the potential biological effects of toxic compounds when used in parallel with relevant endpoints of higher biological levels.
The Significance of Beaking Sign on Cystography in Stress Urinary Incontinence

Purpose: To evaluate the clinical and urodynamic significance of the beaking sign at cystography in patients with stress urinary incontinence (SUI). Materials and Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the cystograms of 253 patients with SUI, defining the beaking sign as the triangular contrast collection below the bladder base in the resting state without overt leakage. Various clinical parameters including patient age, symptom duration, parity, the one-hour pad test, and urodynamic study data including Valsalva leak point pressure (VLPP) and maximal urethral closing pressure (MUCP) were compared between the beaking-positive and the beaking-negative group. The distribution of Blaivas type in SUI between these two groups was also analysed. Results: The beaking sign was observed in 153 patients (60%). Those who were older and showed greater parity more often belonged to the beaking-positive group than the beaking-negative (p<0.05). Both VLPP and MUCP were significantly lower in the beaking-positive group than in beaking-negative group (p=0.03; p=0.01, respectively). Type-0 or -I SUI was more common in the beaking-negative group, while the frequency of other types was similar between the two groups. Conclusion: The beaking sign has clinical and urodynamic significance, reflecting functional deficiencies of the intrinsic sphincter, and may possibly be regarded as an additional parameter in the planning of treatment. 목적:긴장성 요실금 환자에 있어 방광조영술상 안정시 촬영 사진에서 보일 수 있는 새부리 징후의 임상적,요로역학적 의의를 알아보고자 하였다. 대상과 방법:253명의 긴장성 요실금이 있는 환자의 방광조영술을 후향적으로 분석하였다.방광조영술상 안정시 조영 제의 누출이 없는 상태에서 방광경부에 삼각형 모양으로 조영제가 보이는 것을 새부리 징후라 정의하였다.새부리 징후가 있는 군과 없는 군 사이에 나이,증상 기간,출산 횟수 등의 임상 인자와,발살바 요실금압 (Valsalva leak point pressure,VLPP)과 최대 요도 폐쇄압 (maximal urethral closing pressure,MUCP)등의 요로역학적 인자를 비교 분석 하였고,Blaivas분류에 의한 긴장성 요실금 유형의 분포를 비교하였다. 결과:새부리 징후는 153명(60%)에서 있었으며,각 임상 인자들 중 나이가 많을수록,출산 횟수가 많을수록 그 빈도가 유의하게 많았다 (p<.05).발살바 요실금압은 새부리 징후가 있는 군이 없는 군과 비교하여 유의하게 낮았으며 (p=.03),최대 요도 폐쇄압도 새부리 징후가 있는 군에서 유의하게 낮았다 (p=.01).Blaivas분류에 의한 제 0형과 1형 긴장성 요실금은 새부리 징후가 없는 군에서 많았으나,다른 유형은 두 군간에 차이는 없었다. 결론:새부리 징후는 임상적,요로역학적으로 의의가 있으며,내인적 괄약근의 결함을 반영 할 수 있으므로 치료방침을 계획함에 있어 고려해야 할 요소로 사료된다.
면역결핍환자에서 고립성 신종괴로 발현한 신결핵:1예 보고$^1$

신결핵은 주로 비뇨관을 침범하여 다발성의 섬유화와 협착을 초래한다. 비뇨관의 이상을 동반하지 않고 신종괴만으로 발현하는 위종괴형의 신결핵은 매우 드문 현상으로 방사선학적 소견이 이전의 문헌에서 충분히 기술되어 있지 않다. 저자들은 백혈병으로 항암치료를 받은 환자에서 간내 다수의 결절을 동반한 신종괴로서 악성종양질환의 영상소견을 모방한 결핵의 예를 경험하였기에 이를 보고하고자 한다. Renal tuberculosis commonly involves the urinary tract and results in multifocal fibrosis and stricture. Rarely, it presents as a renal mass with or without urinary tract abnormality. The radiologic features of this rare pseudotumor have not been sufficiently described in the previous literature, and we now report a case of tuberculosis presenting as an isolated renal mass and multiple hepatic nodules without evidence of associated urinary tract abnormality. The condition mimicked malignant neoplastic disease and occurred in a patient who had undergone chemotherapy for leukemia.

In this paper, new voice message system supporting massive outbound call is proposed. Basic idea of the proposed system is to pre-process all the text-to-speech conversion process, mixing of text and attached music file and to store the results of pre-process in the cache server which is connected to the IVR. New voice message system is optimized for the voice message system supporting massive outbound call by distributing the load of the web server caused by server-side script implementation which is accessing database and generating dynamic Voice XML document over client module and server module of web server. The proposed voice message system was test-deployed in one domestic voice message application service provider and it is shown that proposed voice message system reduced the response latency problem of test-bed voice message system.

한반도 장님노린재과의 미기록속 Neomegacoelum 속을 처음으로 확인하고 Neomegacoelum vitreum (Kerzhner, 1988)의 한반도 분포를 보고한다. 성충과 생식기의 사진 등의 형태학적 정보와 생태학적 정보가 함께 제공된다. A monotypic genus, Neomegacoelum Yasunaga (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Miridae: Mirinae), is reported from the Korean Peninsula for the first time with a species of Neomegacoelum vitreum (Kerzhner, 1988). The morphological information such as description and diagnoses are provided with the photographs of adult specimen and genitalia.
