Background: Ocular flutter is a rare horizontal eye movement disorder characterized by rapid saccadic oscillations. Excessive discharge of burst neurons, and/or loss of tonic excitation of pause cells cause ocular flutter in several neurologic diseases. Ocular flutter can be easily differentiated from other saccadic oscillations with the aid of electro-oculography (EOG) findings showing an absence of intersaccadic intervals. Methods: We analyzed EOG findings of ocular flutter in four patients. Results: Ocular flutter, which was shown as rapid, repetitive, horizontal, symmetrical, and sinusoidal movements without intersaccadic intervals on EOG, was confirmed in four patients. The etiology of each patient was olivopontocerebellar atrophy (1 case), meningoencephalitis (2 cases), and lithium intoxication (1 case). Conclusions: Ocular flutter can be present in numerous neurologic diseases. Characteristic EOG findings are useful in the diagnosis of ocular flutter.

Riged polyurethane foam was syuthesized using various types of physical blowing agents and water as a co-blowing agent. The physical blowing agents used in this syudy were HCFC-14lb, HFC-365mfc,and n-pentane,The thermal conductivity reaction rate, and cell morphology of the rigid polyurethane foam were investigated, As the content of water increased, the reactivity cell size vecome faster and smaller, respectively. In the case of n-pentane,as the water content of the teaction mixture inspectively. the thermal conductivity dercreased until lpph(part per hundred of polyol inweioght ) of water content , and then increased as the amount of water increased Therefore. in rigid polyurethane foam blown by physical blowing agent with various content of water seems that the thermal conductivity behavior depends not only the cellsize but also thermal conductivity of CO_2 at gas phase.

Neurodegenerative disorders are associated with apoptosis as a causing factor or an inducer. On the other hand, it has been reported that epigallocatechin gallate (EUG), one of antioxidants and flavonoids, and z-VAD-fmk, a nonselective caspase inhibitor, suppress oxidative-radical-stress-induced apoptosis. However, it is not yet known what is the effects of EGCG and z-VAD-fmk on the apoptotic pathway is through phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K), Akt and glycogen synthase kinase-3 (GSK-3) as well as mitochondria, caspase-3 and poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP). We investigated the effects of EGCG by using treated N18D3 cells, mouse DRG hybrid neurons. Methods: Following 30 min exposure, the viability of N18D3 cells (not pretreated vs. EGCG or z-VAD-fmk pretreated) was evaluated by using MTT assay. The effect of EGCG on immunoreactivity (IR) of cytochrome c, caspase-3, PARP, PI3K/Akt and GSK-3 was examined by using Western blot, and was compared with that of z-Y4D-fmk. Results: EGCG or z-VAD-fmk pretreated N18D3 cells showed increased viability. Dose-dependent inhibition of caspase-3 activation accompanied by PARP cleavage were demonstrated by pretreatment of both agents. However, inhibition of cytochrome c release was only detected in EGCG pretreated N18D3 cells. On the pathway through PI3K/Akt and GSK-3, however, the result of Western blot in EGCG pretreated N18D3 cells showed decreased IR of Akt and GSK-3 and increased IR of p85a PI3K, phosphorylated Akt and GSK-3, and contrasted with that in z-VAD-fmk pretreated N18D3 cells showing no changes on each molecule. Conclusion: These data show that EGCG affects apoptotic pathway through upstream signal including PI3K/Akt and GSK-3 pathway as well as downstream signal including cytochrome c and caspase-3 pathway. Therefore, these results suggest that EGCG mediated activation of PI3K/Akt and inhibition GSK-B could be new potential therapeutic strategy for neurodegenerative diseases associated with oxidative injury.

What are the types of healing tourism and what are the facilities, programs and services that are satisfactory through healing tourism? The purpose of this study is to find out how market segmentation is possible through demographic characteristics and to establish a sustainable and competitive strategy for healing tourism. The following results were obtained from the study. Market segmentation of satisfaction factors of healing tourism was divided into three categories as 'multiple complex satisfaction type', 'food and outdoor space satisfaction type', and 'program and environment satisfaction type'.In this study, healing tourism market segmentation using healing tourism satisfaction factor was carried out and each characteristic was examined by subdivision market. Through this, it was possible to derive a practical strategy to develop healing tourist products suitable for the subdivision market, so that the research purpose could be achieved to some extent
