Online sex education program may help the adolescents the sexual development processes efficiently and confidentially. Most of the online sex education programs are not truly interactive nor adaptive. Didactic education materials may not be sufficient to modify adolescents online sexual activities. Computer-patient dialogue programs can help to develop truly interactive online contents that adaptively accommodate the personalized needs of the adolescents. This paper describes the development and implementation technology of a Web-based dialogue system for the interactive online sex education. A three-tiered database-backed Web system with browser-based dialogue editor, automatic script-code generator, automatic relational-database schema generator, and integrated program development environment was produced and tested on the online sex education program. The Web dialogue system can also be used for online surveys, clinical trials, and electronic medical records. This approach can enhance collaboration between the consumer-oriented and the provider-oriented information systems.
Bioinformatics is a rapidly emerging field of biomedical research. A flood of large-scale genomic expression data transforms the challenges m biomedical research into ones in bioinformatics. Clinical informatics has long developed technologies to imp개ve biomedical research by integrating experimental and clinical information systems. Biomedical informatics, powered by high throughput techniques, genomic-scale databases and advanced clinical information system, is likely to transform our biomedical understanding forever much the same way that biochemistry did to biology a generation ago. The emergence of healthcare and biomedical informatics revolutionizing both bioinformatics and clinical informatics will eventually change the current practice of medicine, including diagnostics, therapeutics and prognostics.
In this article I survey and evaluate the results of recent forty-year literary analysis of letters in NT and try to make some suggestions for further studies. For this aim, I focus on important scholars and their works about the Galatians, such as J.L. White(literary analyst[1971, 1972 etc.]), H.D. Betz(classical rhetorical analyst[1974/75 and 1979]), R.N. Longenecker(a kind of eclecticist between epistolography and rhetorical approach)and D.F. Tolmie(new rhetorical analyst). Based on analysis of those works, I summarise their contributions and limitations as the following three points: First, recent forty-year literary analysis has developed by the later study complementing the limit of previous one. This fact shows this approach have internal and external interrelationship. Naturally, scholars can expect for the next step of literary analysis after Tolmie’s study. Second, this approach has proceeded in the basis of literary features of the Galatians as an ancient letter or any relevant work. This means scholars have tried not to lose their objective position in their studies. Of course, at the point that their result are different, studies’objectivity can be doubted. However, we may remind that such variety came from various methods for analysis. Thus,the main point is not their variety, but how we can find a proper method to analyse letters in NT. Third, literary analysis can be evaluated as a textcentred approach. All scholars mentioned above started from their Greek text and analysed it. Additionally, they have shown their interest in the composition and arrangement of the text. This tendency has improved the understanding of content of a letter and its main theme(s). However, last literary analysis passed by an important factor, i.e. to define a literary genre of letters in NT. Thus, in next step, the literary analysis should not only pay attention to define a literary genre of letters in NT, but also analyse letters by considering such literary generic features.
Bioinformatics is a rapidly emerging field of biomedical research. A flood of large-scale genomic and postgenomic data means that many of the challenges in biomedical research are now challenges in computational sciences. Clinical informatics has long developed methodologies to improve biomedical research and clinical care by integrating experimental and clinical information systems. The informatics revolutions both in bioinformatics and clinical informatics will eventually change the current practice of medicine, including diagnostics, therapeutics, and prognostics. Postgenome informatics, powered by high throughput technologies and genomic-scale databases, is likely to transform our biomedical understanding forever much the same way that biochemistry did a generation ago. The paper describes how these technologies will impact biomedical research and clinical care, emphasizing recent advances in biochip-based functional genomics and proteomics. Basic data preprocessing with normalization, primary pattern analysis, and machine learning algorithms will be presented. Use of integrated biochip informatics technologies, text mining of factual and literature databases, and integrated management of biomolecular databases will be discussed. Each step will be given with real examples in the context of clinical relevance. Issues of linking molecular genotype and clinical phenotype information will be discussed.
Schwannomas are relatively common, benign tumors that are thought to arise from the nerve sheath cell. Schwannomas of the C1 root are extremely rare and seldom invade lateral masses because they gradually increase in size and can extend through the wide space behind the lateral mass instead of the intervertebral foramen. We present here an unusual case of a benign schwannoma that aggressively invaded the lateral mass of C-1.
