        지형인자를 활용한 한반도 남동부 주요 단층들의 지구조 활성도 평가

        Geomorphic indices are a useful tool for rapid tectonic activity assessment over large areas. We assessed the tectonic activities along the Yangsan Fault where many Quaternary faults are observed, the Ulsan Fault where Quaternary faults and micro-earthquakes frequently occur, and the Miryang Fault where only micro-earthquakes are reported, using the geomorphic indices. The indices used in this study are Hypsometric Integral (HI), Hypsometric Curve (HC), and Basin Shape ratio (BS), which indicate the maturity of the drainage basins, Asymmetry Factor (AF), which implies the degree of asymmetry due to tilting of the basins, and Stream Length-gradient (SL), which represents the change in slope of the stream. These results were combined to evaluate Relative Tectonic Activity (RTA) of each basin. Drainage basins along the Yangsan and Ulsan faults dominantly show ‘High‘ and ’Very High’ RTAs and are also characterized with the asymmetry of RTA distribution of much higher tectonic activity in the eastern block of the faults. However, the drainage basins along the Miryang Fault dominantly show ’High’ and ‘Moderate’ RTAs with their symmetric distribution. SL values generally depend on the lithology of bedrocks, but some SL anomalies in the Yangsan and Ulsan faults are nearly identical to the location of the Quaternary surface ruptures. These features indicate that the analysis results of geomorphic indices supported by geological interpretation can be useful for finding the Quaternary faults.

      • Ultra-fast Generic LC-MS/MS Method for High-Throughput Quantification in Drug Discovery

        An ultra-fast generic LC-MS/MS method was developed for high-throughput quantification of discovery pharmacokinetic(PK) samples and its reliability was verified. The method involves a simple protein precipitation for sample preparationand the analysis by ultra-fast generic LC-MS/MS with the ballistic gradient program and selected reaction monitoring (SRM)mode. Approximately 290 new chemical entities (NCEs) (over 10,000 samples) from 5 therapeutic programs were analyzed. The calibration curves showed good linearity in the concentration range of 1, 2 or 5 to 2000 ng/mL. No significant ion suppressionwas observed in the elution region of all the NCEs. When approximately 300 plasma samples were continuously analyzed,the peak area of internal standard was constant and reproducible. In the repeated analysis of samples, the plasma concentrationsand the area under the curve (AUC) were consistent with the results from the first analysis. These results showed that the presentultra-fast generic LC-MS/MS method is reliable in terms of selectivity, sensitivity, and reproducibility and could be useful forhigh-throughput quantification and other bioanalysis in drug discovery.

        재질감이 주는 긴장도의 디자인 적용에 관한 연구

        This study makes a system to quantify the visual and tactile texture under the name of tensity, searches applicable ways by analyzing actual examples, and ultimately looks for the possibilities for theoretical approach of texture quantification. Finishing materials with low tensity from texture make space more comfortable and let people stay longer in the area, on the other hand, high tensity finishing materials stimulate people's curiosity and give caution and strong impact about the area. As the tensity from texture of finishing materials may diverse the overall expression of architectural space, it is positively considered that this study obtains excellent results in that the tensity can be used as one of the determiners to select finishing materials. In conclusion, high tensity materials are suitable for public and active space and low tensity are for private and static area. This principle enables us to use architectural materials as one of the important elements which express the whole characteristics of the area. And, by using two more materials which have different tensity each other, space may play an intentional role, or it may give changes by using similar tensity materials. With the tensity figure and application of the social images into design expression, this study introduces more reasonable guideline for material selection. However, the guideline given here is the description of general trends derived by the research rather than an absolute index. Even, architects should avoid the general framework and make efforts to show individuality.

        Study on the Web Deformation in Ink Transfer Process for R2R Printing Application

        Web deformation occurring in the ink transfer process from the printing roller to the flexible web was investigated using a CFD technique for the application in roll-to-roll printed electronics. Analysis for the flow-structure interaction was conducted to assess the deflection and stress distributions of the web. To make the present analysis more relevant to the real printing system, both realistic geometric configuration and ink properties were set up using the information obtained from the typical roll-to-roll system. Fluid properties were found to influence to the shape of the transferred ink and the web deformation. As the line width becomes smaller than 100 microns, the appreciable distortion in the shape of the transferred ink occurred due to a relative importance of surface tension. Non-negligible web deflection occurs in all the cavity geometries considered in the present work but the ratio of the web deflection to the line width gets smaller as the printing pattern width becomes smaller. Thus, the surface and deflection will be important factors for the better printing quality under the 100 micron range.

        5자유도 잔향 모델을 이용한 실내 잔향 필터 설계를 위한 조건

        잔향에 대한 인간의 주관적인 지각을 객관적인 수치로써 나타내는 방법으로 5자유도 잔향 모델이 제안된 바 있다[1]. 5자유도 잔향 모델은 잔향에 대한 다섯 개의 객관적인 평가량들을 이용하여 시간에 따른 음 에너지 감쇠 곡선을 근사한 것으로, 인공적으로 잔향을 합성하고자 할 때 잔향 필터의 설계 기준으로 유용하게 사용될 수 있다. 그러나 이로부터 구현할 수 있는 잔향 필터는 이론적으로 무한히 많을 수 있고, 따라서 인간이 듣기에 부자연스러운 합성음을 만들어 내는 경우도 존재할 수 있다. 본 논문은 5자유도 잔향 모델의 한계를 시간 영역과 주파수 영역으로 나누어 살펴보고 잔향 모델, 즉 원하는 잔향 조건이 주어졌을 때 자연스러운 잔향을 얻기 위해 필요한 필터 설계 기준을 실제 청음 실험을 통하여 제시하고 있다. Recently, a 5-degrees-of-freedom (DOF) reverberation model was proposed as a method of representing subjective perception of reverberation as objective measures[1]. This model approximates sound energy decay curve by five objective measures, widely used in which have been concert hall acoustics. However, it is note worthy that there can be infinite number of impulse responses which correspond to a selected 5-DOF reverberation model. There may exist some filters making very unnatural and unrealistic sound. In this paper, the limitation of the 5-DOF reverberation model when it is used as a filter design criteria is investigated. When a 5-DOF reverberation model is given, additional constraints to get natural reverberation are suggested. This is based on the listening tests for several quite different source sounds.

        생달나무 잎 추출물 유래 항염 및 항산화 활성 성분

        본 연구에서는 생달나무 잎 추출물 및 용매 분획물의 항염 및 항산화 효능을 확인하고 유효성분을 분리하여 화학구조를 동정하였다. RAW 264.7 세포를 이용한 분획 시료의 NO 생성 억제 활성 실험 결과, EtOAc 분획물이 세포 독성 없는 농도에서 NO의 생성을 억제시키는 효능을 확인하였다. 또한 EtOAc 분획물이 iNOS 단백질의 발현 및 전염증성 사이토카인(TNF-α, IL-1β) 생성 저해 효과를 나타내었다. 항산화 활성 실험 결과, EtOAc 분획물이 DPPH 및 ABTS+ 라디칼 소거능이 우수함을 확인하였다. EtOAc 분획물의 활성 성분을 규명하기 위해 컬럼 크로마토그라피를 수행하여 5개의 화합물을 분리하였다; (4S,5R)-4-hydroxy-5-isopropyl-2-methylcyclohex-2-enone (1), methoxy-(3,5-dimethoxy-4-hydroxyphenyl)ethanediol (2), afzelin (3), nicotiflorine (4), narcissin (5). 화합물 1-5는 모두 생달나무에서 처음으로 분리되었다. 분리 화합물에 대한 항염 활성 실험 결과, 화합물 1, 3, 4 및 5는 세포 독성 없이 NO 생성 저해 효과를 나타내었다. 또한 화합물 1은 염증 매개인자인 TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6의 생성 억제 활성을 보여주었다. 이상의 연구결과를 바탕으로 생달나무 잎은 항염 및 항산화 효과를 갖는 의약품 및 화장품 관련 천연 소재로의 개발이 가능할 것이라 사료된다. In this study, the extract of Cinnamomum yabunikkei leaves were investigated for the anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative activities and their active constituents were identified. In the anti-inflammatory tests using LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells, the ethyl acetate (EtOAc) fraction inhibited the production of nitric oxide (NO) without causing cell toxicity. In addition, the EtOAc fraction reduced expression of iNOS protein and production of pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-1β). Upon the anti-oxidative studies by DPPH and ABTS+ radicals, potent radical scavenging activities were observed in the EtOAc fraction. Five phytochemicals were isolated from the extract of C. yabunikkei leaves; (4S,5R)-4-hydroxy-5-isopropyl-2-methylcyclohex-2-enone (1), methoxy-(3,5-dimethoxy-4-hydroxyphenyl)ethanediol (2), afzelin (3), nicotiflorine (4) and narcissin (5). As far as we know, compounds 1-5 were isolated for the first time from this plant. In the anti-inflammatory tests for the isolates, compound 1, 3, 4 and 5 were determined to decrease NO production without causing cell toxicity. Furthermore, compound 1 reduced expression of iNOS protein and exhibited potent inhibitory activities of pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6). Based on these results, it was suggested that the extract and isolated compounds from C. yabunikkei leaves could be potentially applicable as natural source for pharmaceutical and/or cosmetic ingredients.

        LED 광질과 보광시간이 임파첸스의 생육과 개화에 미치는 영향

        본 실험은 임파첸스 분화식물의 생장과 개화에 LED 광질과 효과 적정 처리 시간을 구명하기 위해 수행되었다. 임파첸스의 초장은 2.50cm로 청색광에 의해 촉진되었으며 대조구에 비해 0.6cm의 차이를 보였다. 절간수,뿌리길이, 분지수, 직경은 보광시간이나 광질에 영향을받지 않았다. 엽면적은 412.81cm2의 대조구에 비해 광질처리 시 626.64~784.53cm2로 증가하였다. 광질처리에 의해 화아수와 개화수는 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 그러나개화소요일수는 광질처리에 의해 단축되어 개화를 촉진하였으며 적색광에서 좋았다. 엽록소 함량은 광질처리에의해 크게 영향을 받지 않았으나, 안토시아닌 함량은 전반적으로 일몰 후 4시간의 청색광에서 증가하였다. 광질처리는 청색광 처리에서 생체중과 건물중이 향상되었다. This study was conducted to examine the effect of LED light quality and treatment time on the growth and flowering in potted plants of Impatiens (Impatiens hawkerihybrid). Plant height of Impatiens was enhanced under Blue light, regardless of treatment time. Root length and stem diameter of Impatiens were enhanced by Red light or Blue light. The number of internodes was not influenced by LED light quality. The number of branches of Impatiens was increased under Blue light, but treatment time did not result in statistically significant differences. Leaf area was increased by all LED lights in Impatiens. The number of flower buds and open flowers was decreased by LED light,but days to flowering were reduced by Red light in Impatiens. Chlorophyll and anthocyanin content were not significantly affected by LED light, but anthocyanin content tended to increase by Blue light for 4 h after sunset. Fresh and dry weights were enhanced by Blue light in Impatiens.
