      • 1,5-Diphenylhydantoins을 위한 새로운 Methyl α-Anilinophenylacetate 유도체의 합성

        For the development of new COX-2 inhibitor, novel key intermediates (2∼4) synthesized through esterification, bromination and α-substitution from phenylacetic acid. The methyl phenylacetate 2 was synthesized through reflux phenylacetic acid with sulfuric and methanol. The methyl α-bromophenylacetate 3 was produced through radical bromination using N-bromosuccinimide from 2. The optical amination to introduce anilino group was contolled under 80℃ in DME. The bromo intermediate was converted to the final methyl α-anilinophenylacetate 4 through reaction with aniline.

      • 급성 ST 분절 상승 심근경색증의 표준진료지침 설계

        The use of critical pathways for a variety of clinical conditions has grown rapidly in recent years, particularly pathways for patients with acute myocardial infarction. We intend to determine the impact of a clinical pathway on ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and to evaluate the efficacy and safety of facilitated percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) compared with primary PCI. Low risk STEMI patients (ST elevation >0.1mV in more than 2 limb leads or ST elevation >0.2mV in contiguous precordial lead, chest pain lasting more than 30 min without response to nitroglycerin) will be included. All patients will be also treated medically according to critical pathway. STEMI is one of the common diseases in emergency medicine and so it is necessary to establish realistic treatment guidelines. The use of critical pathways will improve the quality of care.

        소양호의 어류군집 동태

        2001년 4월부터 2002년 9월까지 소양호의 어류군집 동태를 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 조사된 어류는 총 11과 38종이었다. 한국 고유종은 P. tenuicorpus, C. splendidus, S. gracilis majimae, S. japonicus coreanus, H. mylodon, G. brevibarba, M. yaluensis, M. longidorsalis, C. koreensis, C. rotundieaudata, S. microdorsalis, P. koreanus, L. andersoni, C. herzi, O. patycephala 등 15종(40.54%)이었다. 우점종은 Z. platypus(39.60%), H. olidus(39.47%), S. gracilis majimae(12.24%), S. japonics coreanus(2.11%), P. fulvidraco(1.48%), L. macrochirus(1.40%) 등이었다. 채집된 어종들의 생체량을 보면 Z. platypus가 19.48㎏, H. olidus로 8.75㎏, C.cuvieri 7.42㎏, L. maeroehirus 7.39㎏, H. labeo 6.85㎏의 순으로 나타났다. 소양호에서 확인된 도입종은 A. japonica, H. eigenmanni, H. olidus, P. altivelis, C. urotaenius, R. giurinus, T. brevispinis, C. carpio(Israeli type), c. euvieri, Onchorhynchus mykiss, L. macrochirus, M. salmoides, I. puntatus 등 13종이었다. 이 중 C. carpio(Israeli type), C. cuvieri, Onchorhynchus mykiss, L macrochirus, M. salmoides, I. puntatus는 국외종이며, A. japonica, H. eigenmanni, H. olidus, P. altivelis, C. urotaenius, R. giurinus, T. brevispinis 등은 국내 다른 하천ㅇ로부터 유입된 종이다. The dynamics of the fish community in Lake Soyang, Korea, was investigated from April 2001 to September 2002. During the surveyed period 38 species belonging 11 families were collected. There were 15 Korean endemic species 39.47%, including Pseudopungtungia tenuicorpus, Coreoleuciscus splendidus, Squalidus gracilis majimae, S. japonicus coreanus, Hemibarbus mylodon, Gobiobotia brevibarba, Microphysogobio yaluensis, Microphysogobio longidorsalis, Iksookimia koreensis, Iksookimia rotundicaudata, Silurus microdorsalis, Pseudobagrus koreanus, Liobagrus andersoni, Coreoperca herzi, and Odontobutis platycephala. Dominant species were Zacco platypus (39.60%), Hypomesus olidus (31.70%), Squalidus gracilis majimae (12.24%), Squalidus japonicus coreanus (2.11%), Pseudobagrus fulvidraco (1.48%) and Lepomis macrochirus (1.40%). The biomass of collected fishes were Zacco platypus (19.48 ㎏), Hypomes olidus (8.75 ㎏), Carassilus cuvieri (7.42 ㎏), Lepomis macrochirus (7.39 ㎏) and Hemibarbus labeo (6.85 ㎏). Of the 13 introduced fishes in Lake Soyang Cyprinus carpio (israeli type), Carassius cuvieri, Onchorhynchus mykiss, Lepomis macrochirus, Micropterus salmoides and Ictalurus puntatus were originated from foreign countries but Anguilla japonica, Hemiculter eigenmanni, Hypomesus olidus, Plecoglossus altivelis, Chaenogobius urotaenius, Rhinogobius giurinus. Thridentiger brevispinis were introduced from other native river systems.

        아동의 인터넷 활동 및 선호에 대한 조사 : 연령과 성 차이를 중심으로 Differences between grades and gender

        본 연구는 게임, 채팅, 정보검색 및 학습의 다양한 활동을 제공하는 인터넷에 대한 초등학교 아동의 활등 빈도, 선택양식, 인터넷 활등 선호도를 조사한 연구이다. 초등학교 저학년 하동 334명을 대상으로 인터넷 활동빈도, 활동선택, 인터넷 활동 선호도를 조사하였다. 조사결과 인터넷의 다양한 활동 중 일상생활에서 게임을 선택하는 경우가 가장 빈번하였고 이러한 현상은 2학년보다는 3학년이, 여아보다 남아에게 더 분명하였다. 여가로서의 게임에 대한 선호도는 남아가 여아에 비하여, 3학년이 2학년에 비하여 더 높았으며, 채팅 및 학습·정보검색에 대한 선호도는 학년 간 차이는 없으나 남아가 여아보다 높았다. 그러나 유명 사이트 접속도 및 사이트 인식 능력에서 남녀 차이가 없었다. 아동의 일상에서의 인터넷 활용의 다양화를 위한 시사점을 논의하였다. This study surveyed and analyzed elementary school students' various internet activities, internet preferences and knowledge of popular internet sites for children. The results showed that children tended to choose internet games more frequently among various internet activities and this tendency wass more prevalent with older and male children than younger and females. Internet preferences were stronger with male children than females. However, the usage and knowledge of popular internet sites for children differed with older and younger children. This study discussed the meanings of the differences of internet activities, internet preferences and knowledge of internet sites between grades and gender in terms of children's play environment, accessibility and equity to computer and internet.

        면양을 이용한 돼지 지방세포 원형질막 단백질 특이 항체의 생산

        본 연구는 돼지 지방세포 원형질막 단백질에 대한 항체를 면양에서 생산하고 생산된 항체의 역가 및 조직특이성을 조사하기 위하여 실시되었다. 지방세포, 뇌, 심장, 신장, 간장 및 비장으로부터 원형질막 단백질을 추출하였으며, 그중 지방세포로부터 분리한 원형질막 단백질을 면양(체중 40㎏)에 3주 간격으로 3회 면역접종시켰다. 면역접종 전, 3차 면역접종 후 10일 (AS-1), 12일 (AS-2) 및 14일 (AS-3)째에 각각 면양의 경정맥으로부터 혈액을 채취하여 혈청을 채취하여 혈청을 분리하였다. 항체의 역가 및 기타 조직과의 교차반응성은 enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)로 측정하였다. 면양에서 생산된 돼지 지방세포 원형질막 단백질에 대한 항혈청은 지방세포 원형질막 단백질과 강한 항원-항체 반응을 나타내었다. 항혈청의 교차반응성을 조사한 결과, 기타 조직의 원형질막 단백질과는 매우 미약한 반응을 나타낸 반면 지방세포 원형질막 단백질과는 강한 반응을 나타내었다. 이러한 항혈청의 지방세포 원형질막 단백질과의 조직특이적인 반응은 anti-sheep immunoglobulin Ghorseradish peroxidase conjugate를 2차 항체로 이용한 immunoblot에 의해서도 재확인 되었다. 이상의 결과, 면양으로부터 생산된 돼지 지방세포 원형질막 단백질에 대한 항체는 높은 역가를 지니고 있었으며, 지방세포 원형질막 단백질에 특이적으로 작용함을 알 수 있었다. The objectives of this study were to produce polyclonal antibody to adipocyte plasma membrane (APM) proteins isolated from pig, and to investigate its tissue specificity. Plasma membrane proteins from adipocyte, brain, heart, kidney, liver and spleen were isolated using a self-forming Percoll gradient. Sheep (40㎏) was immunized three times at three week interval with the purified APM proteins. Blood was taken from non-immunized sheep (NS) and from immunized sheep at 10 (AS-1), 12 (AS-2), and 14 (AS-3) days after the third immunization. Antisera titers and cross-reactivity against other tissues were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Antisera reacted strongly to APM proteins showing detectable amounts of antibody at 1:81,000 dilution. And antisera showed much stronger reactivity to APM proteins than any other tissue plasma membrane proteins. Furthermore, tissue specificity of antisera against APM was reconfirmed by immunoblotting using anti-sheep immunoglobulin Ghorseradish peroxidase conjugate as a secondary antibody. Antisera to APM proteins showed adipocyte specificity compared with other tissues. In conclusion, polyclonal antibody against APM proteins isolated from pig was developed successfully in our laboratory, and these antisera showed tissue specificity with APM.

        (Pb,La)TiO_3/LiTaO_3/(Pb,La)TiO_3 다층 강유전 박막을 이용한 초전형 적외선 센서

        초전형 적외선 센서를 제작하기 위하여 rf 마그네트론 스퍼터링법으로 (Pb,La)TiO_3(PLT)/LiTaO_3(LTO)/PLT 강유전 박막을 증착한 후 급속 열처리하여 열처리 온도와 시간에 따른 결정성을 조사하였다. 강유전 박막의 C축 배향도에 따른 비유전율 및 유전손실을 측정하고 C축 배향도가 가장 큰 강유전 박막으로 제작된 센서에 대해 초전계수를 측정하여 센서의 전압응답에 대한 성능지수(F_V)와 감도에 대한 성능지수(F_D)를 구하였다. 얻어진 F_V, F_D는 각각 6.15×10 exp (-10) C · cm/J, 1.98×10 exp (-8) C · cm/J였다. For fabrication of the pyroelectric IR sensor (Pb,La)TiO_3(PLT)/LiTaO_3(LTO)/PLT ferroelectric thin films was deposited by rf magnetron sputtering followed by rapid thermal annealing and the crystallinity as a function of annealing temperature and time was investigated. Permittivity and dielectric loss factor of ferroelectric thin films as a function of c-axis preffered orientation was measured. Also pyroelectric coefficient of ferroelectric thin films with largest c-axis preffered orientation was measured and obtain figure of merit of voltage response(F_V) and detectivity(F_D). In this case F_V, F_D was 5.63×10 exp (-10) C · cm/J, 1.98×10 exp (-8) C · cm/J, respectively.

        Pulmonary Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis in an Adult Male Presenting with Central Diabetes Insipidus and Diabetes Mellitus: A Case Report

        Pulmonary Langerhans cell histiocytosis is an uncommon diffuse cystic lung disease in adults. In rare cases, it can involve extrapulmonary organs and lead to endocrine abnormalities such as central diabetes insipidus. A 42-year-old man presented with polyphagia and polydipsia, as well as a dry cough and dyspnea on exertion. Magnetic resonance imaging of the hypothalamic-pituitary system failed to show the posterior pituitary, which is a typical finding in patients with central diabetes insipidus. This condition was confirmed by a water deprivation test, and the patient was also found to have type 2 diabetes mellitus. Computed tomographic scanning of the lungs revealed multiple, irregularly shaped cystic lesions and small nodules bilaterally, with sparing of the costophrenic angles. Lung biopsy through video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery revealed pulmonary Langerhans cell histiocytosis. On a follow-up visit, only 1 year after the patient had quit smoking, clinical and radiological improvement was significant. Here, we report an uncommon case of pulmonary Langerhans cell histiocytosis that simultaneously presented with diabetes insipidus and diabetes mellitus.

      • Identification of DAI (DLM-1/ZBP1) as a Cytosolic DNA Sensor and an Activator of Innate Immune Response

        Although it has been known that the cytosolic DNA derived from virus infection or tissue damage can cause innate immune responses, the cytosolic DNA-sensing mechanism is currently unknown. In this study, we report DAI (DNA?dependent Activator of Interferon-regulatory factors) as a candidate of the DNA sensor, which was previously named DLM-1 (also called Z-DNA binding protein1 (ZBP1)) and demonstrate its novel function in innate immunity. The artificial overexpression of DAI (DLM-1/ZBP1) in murine fibroblast L929 cells selectively enhances the DNA-mediated induction of type I IFN (Interferon) and other genes involved in innate immune responses. And RNA interference of DAI (DLM-1/ZBP1) in L929 cells inhibits the induction of these genes when stimulated by DNA from a variety of sources. Additionally, DAI (DLM-1/ZBP1) binds to double-stranded DNA and associates with the IRF3 (Interferon-regulatory factor3) transcription factor and the TBK1 serine/threonine kinase, which activates DNA-mediated innate immune responses. These results suggest that DAI (DLM-1/ZBP1) is a critical sensor for DNA-mediated activation of innate immune responses, and may provide new insight into the signaling mechanisms underlying DNA-associated antiviral immunity and autoimmune diseases.
