Silicon diaphragm arrays were fabricated by silicon micromachining using porous silicon. Fabricated diaphragms consist of 3x3 array. The thickness of diaphragm is 5μm and theire size are 200x200, 300X300 and 400X400μm^(2), respectively. Several % of resistance change is observed, when stress was applied at diffused resistor on the diaphragm. Microdiaphragm arrays were easily fabricated by silicon micromachining using porous silicon, and we confirmed feasibilty of application at tactile sensor.

흰쥐 Kupffer 세포에 대한 Propofol의 작용

Background: Propofol has an antioxidant capacity and can be used for ischemia-reperfusion injury of the liver. However, the effects of propofol on the Kupffer cells have not been establisked. Methods: Kupffer cells were isolated and cultured from male Sprague-Dawley rats. The effects of propofol on the Kupffer cells were evaluated by a phagocytosis assay, TNF-α gene expression, and superoxide anion release after administering propofol in different concentrations on the cultured Kuprrer cells. Results: The latex bead phagocytosis by the Kupffer cells was suppressed when the Kupffer cells were exposed to propofol irrespective of concentrations. Higher propofol concentrations decreased the loss of Kupffer cells after latex bead phagocytosis. Propofol induced TNF-α mRNA expression in the Kupffer cells, but the mRNA expression level after 50㎍/ml of propofol decreased. The pattern of TNF-α mRNA expression induced by propofol was different to that induced by LPS: TNF-α mRNA was expressed continuously in the propofol-treated cells until 16 hours after exposure to propofol, whereas the level of TNF-α mRNA expression induced by LPS was evident after 2 hours and was not found thereafter. TNF-α production after propofol treatment was not higher than that of the control. Formazan presipitation did not show any qualitative differences between cells untreated or treated with propofol concentrations of 0.5, 5.0, and 50 ㎍/ml. Conclusions: These results showed that propofol might inhibit Kupffer cells. This suggests that propofol and be used for patients with ischemia-reperfusion injury of the liver. 단기배양을 통한 말초혈액 CD34 양성세포의 체외증폭

Background: It is suggested that clinical practice in the areas of bone marrow transplantation and gene therapy might rely on the ex vivo expansion of hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells. However, the condition for ex vivo expansion of hematopoietic progenitor cells is not well established. The authors pursued a series of experiments to define the proper conditions for the expansion of hematopoietic cells in the short-term liquid suspension culture of mobilized peripheral blood CD34+ cells. Methods: 1.0ml cultures were initiated with 9×10^3 PB CD34+ cells, which were isolated from PB mononuclear cells (MNCs) by high-gradient cell sorting, in 12 well plates with the various combinations of hematopoietic growth factors(HGF). The following recombinant human HGFs were used: stem cell factor(SCF) 100ng/ml, granulocyte colony-stimulating factor(G-CSF) 100ng/ml, GM-CSF(granulocyte, macrophage colony-stimulating factor) 100ng/ml, interleukin-1 beta(IL-1B) 1ng/ml, interleukin-3(IL-3) 20ng/ml, interleukin-6 (IL-6) 100ng/ml. At the end of culture, colony-forming cells were evaluated by semisolid clonogenic assay. Results: 1) Using the high-gradient magnetic sorting system, CD34^+ cells were isolated with a yield of 40 3% 2) In 7 day culture of PB CD34^+ cells(9×10^3 cells), nucleated cells expanded mean 10×10^3(range, 9 to 20×10^3) with the addition of SCF alone, 35×10^3(range, 10 to 60×10^3) with SCF plus G-CSF plus GM-CSF, and 130×10^3(range, 40 to 300×10^3) with the combination of SCF, G-CSF, IL-1, IL-3, IL-6, GM-CSF. In 14 day culture, nucleated cells expanded 10×10^3 to 1,860×10^3 with combination of human hematopoietic growth factors. 3) In 10 day culture without medium change of PB CD34^+ cells, CFU-GM numbers expanded 16. 5 fold(range, 7 to 59 fold) with the addition of SCF plus G-CSF plus Il-1 plus IL-3, 31.3 fold(range, 20.5 to 101.1 fold) with the combination of SCF, G-CSF, IL-1, IL-3, GM-CSF. In 14 day culture with or without medium change of PB CD34^+ cells was inferior to 10 day culture for CFU-GM expansion. 4) There was no significant difference for CFU-GM expansion between five growth factors(SCF,G-CSF,IL-1,IL-3,GM-CSF) and six growth factors(five growth factors plus IL-6). Conclusion: The authors could confirm that short-term suspension culture of peripheral blood CD34+ cells could expand hematopoietic progenitor cells. Ten-day culture with medium change of CD34+ cells with the addition of five growth factors, i.e. SCF, G-CSF, IL-1B, IL-3, and GM-CSF, might be the most efficient in this system.

고량강의 항염증 작용에 대한 연구

Objective : The use of herbal therapy is becoming an increasingly attractive approach for the treatment of various inflammatory disorders. The Alpiniae officinari Rhizoma is popular in Aisa as a traditional herbal medicine. Alpiniae officinari Rhizoma is a species of the ginger family(Zingiberacease). Method : This study was performed to investigate the anti-inflammatory effect of Alpiniae officinari Rhizoma extract by the methods of "carrageenan induced paw edema" and "Lipopolysaccharide-induced inflammatory mediators in mouse macrophage RAW 264.7 cells". Result : We suggest that Alpiniae officinari Rhizoma extract decreased paw volume induced by plantar injection of carrageenan. Also Alpiniae officinari Rhizoma extract inhibited nitric oxide, prostaglandin E₂production and induced nitric oxide synthase, cyclooxygenase-2 protein expression in Mouse macrophage RAW 264.7 cells stimulated with lipopolysaccharide. Conclusion : This study shows that Alpiniae officinari Rhizoma extract seems to have anti-inflammatory effect by inhibition of nitric oxide, prostaglandin E_(2) production and nitric oxide synthase, cyclooxygenase-2 protein expression.

The flow condensation heat transfer performance is dominated by the phase change process with low mass flux, and by two phase flow condensation with high mass flux. And there exists an optimum mass flux and a tube diameter ratio that results in minimum of entropy generation.

돼지의 經濟形質에 미치는 品種과 檢定時期間 相互作用의 效果

1984年 7月부터 1990年 9月까지 공인 種豚 能力檢定所에서 能力檢定된 Yokshire種, Landrace種 및 Duroc種 수퇘지 5,604頭에 대한 資料에 근거하여 品種과 檢定開始 時期間 相互作用이 돼지의 日當 增體量, 飼料要求率 및 등脂肪 두께에 미치는 效果를 추정하였으며 資料의 統計分析에는 最小自乘法을 이용하였다. 品種과 檢定開始 時期間 相互作用의 效果는 飼料要求率과 등脂肪 두께에 대하여 統計的 유의성이 있었으나 日當 增體量에 대하여는 유의성이 없었다. 세 品種間 飼料要求率의 차이는 5-6月 및 7-8月에 檢定이 開始된 돼지에 비하여 1-2月에 檢定이 開始된 돼지에서 작게 추정되었다. Duroc種의 등脂肪 두께에 대한 Yorkshire種과 Landrace種의 순위는 檢定開始 時期에 따라 다른 경향이 있었다. The effect of the interaction between breed and testing time on average daily gain, feed efficiency and backfat thickness was estimated on the basis of the record from 5604 boars of Yorkshire, Landrace and Duroc breeds performance tested at the Korea Swine Testing Station from July, 1984 to September, 1990. The data were statistically analysed by the least squares method. The effect of the interaction between breed and testing time was statistically significant for feed efficiency and backfat thickness, but was not significant for average daily gain. The differences of feed efficiency among the three breeds were smaller in the boars which started the test in January-February as compared with the boars which started the test in May-June or July-August. In all testing times, the Duroc had the thickest backfat, but the rankings of the Yorkshire and Landrace for the backfat thickness were inconsistent depending on the time when the test was started.

민간 경호·경비원들의 의식구조와 가치관에 관한 연구

The aim of this study was to investigate Consciousness and Value on Private Bodyguard and Security. I started to search from 7. January. 2004 to 20. May. 2004. so totally I searched for 5month, As a result, I got 526 papers of questionnaire and dropped 26 papers of them because of insincere answers from responders, So I used 500 papers for the research that I am doing. The method of One-Way ANOVA was used to verify the mean ratio and LSD multiple range test was also used for the verification when there was a slight difference among the objected group, All data were analyzed by SPSS 11.0 producer. The results of this study are like the below: 1) The result In the case of ages showed that significant difference(p<.05) companies consciousness were Private Bodyguard and Security for structure of consciousness. 2) The result In the case of Educational Credentials showed that no significant difference self consciousness, welfare conscious ness, social consciousness, companies consciousness were Private Bodyguard and Security for structure of consciousness. 3) The result In the case of work duration showed that significant difference(p<.05) self consciousness were Private Bodyguard and Security for structure of consciousness. 4) The result in the case of monthly income showed that no significant difference self consciousness, welfare conscious ness, social consciousness, companies consciousness were Private Bodyguard and Security for structure of consciousness. 5) The result in the case of working time showed that significant difference(p<.05) self consciousness, social consciousness, companies consciousness were Private Bodyguard and Security for structure of consciousness.
