        발관리 교육프로그램이 노인 당뇨병 환자의 발관리 이행과 족부합병증에 미치는 효과

        Purpose : Diabetic foot complications are significant problems in diabetes mellitus and often result in lower extremity amputation. This study was conducted to verify the effects of foot care education on compliance with foot care and diabetic foot complications when the patient is an elder with diabetes. Method: A group pretest-posttest design was used to examine the effects of 6 months of foot care education with a group of 13 elders with diabetes. The major dependent variables including foot care compliance and diabetic foot complications were measured at the beginning and end of the treatment period to examine the effects of foot care education. Result : There were no significant differences in total foot care compliance scores and presence of diabetic foot complication after 6 months, Conclusion : Interventions involving problem based education and pursuing long-time effects may be more effective in implementing and sustaining improvements than just group education or one time interventions for elders with diabetes.

        한국인 직무 스트레스 측정도구의 개발 및 표준화

        Background and Purposes: Over the past three decades, numerous studies performed in Korea have reported that job stress is a determinant risk factor for chronic diseases and work disability. Every society has its own culture and occupational climate particular to their organizations, and hence experiences different occupational stress. An occupational stress measurement tool therefore needs to be developed to estimate it objectively. The purpose of this study is to develop and standardize the Korean Occupational Stress Scale (KOSS) which is considered to be unique and specific occupational stressors in Korean employees. Subjects and Methods: Data were obtained from the National Study for Development and Standardization of Occupational Stress (NSDSOS Project: 2002-2004). A total of 12,631 employees from a nationwide sample proportional to the Korean Standard Industrial Classification and the Korean Standard Occupational Classification were administered. The KOSS was developed for 2 years (2002-2004). In the first year, we collected 255 items from the most popular job stress measurement tools such as JCQ, ERI, NIOSH and OSI, and 44 items derived from the a qualitative study (depth interview). Forty-three items of KOSS, in the second year, were retained for use in the final version of the KOSS by using Delphi and factor analysis. Items were scored using conventional 1-2-3-4 Likert scores for the response categories. Results: We developed eight subscales by using factor analysis and validation process: physical environment (3 items), job demand (8 items), insufficient job control (5 items), interpersonal conflict (4 items), job insecurity (6 items), organizational system (7 items), lack of reward (6 items), and occupational climate (4 items). Together they explained 50.0% of total variance. Internal consistency alpha scores were ranged from 0.51 to 0.82. Twenty-four items of the short form of the KOSS (KOSS-SF) were also developed to estimate job stress in the work setting. Because the levels of the subscales of occupational stress were gender dependent, gender-specific standard norms for both the 43-item full version and the 24-item short form using a quartile for the subscales of KOSS were presented. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that KOSS might be an appropriate measurement scale to estimate occupational stress of Korean employees. Further and more detailed study needs to be conducted to improve the validity of this scale.

        거친 신체놀이의 실외활동과 일반적인 실외활동 놀이 사이에서 나타난 유아의 공격성 감소 및 대인문제해결력에 미치는 효과

        본 연구는 거친 신체놀이의 실외활동과 일반적인 실외활동 놀이 사이에서 나타난 유아의 공격성감소 및 대인문제해결력에 미치는 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 G시에 위치한 J유치원의 만 5세 유아 40명을 대상으로 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 19.0을 사용하여 사전-사후 증가분에 대한 t-검증을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 거친 신체놀이의 실외활동이 유아의 공격성(신체적 공격성, 언어적 공격성) 감소에 더 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 둘째, 거친 신체놀이의 실외활동이 유아의 대안적 해결사고와 결과예측 사고 증진에 더 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 이러한 본연구결과는 거친 신체놀이의 실외활동이 유아의 공격성 감소 및 대인문제해결력 증진에 긍정적인 효과가 있다는 점을 밝혔다는데 의의가 있다. 또한 거친 신체놀이의 실외활동은 유아교육현장에서 활용해 볼 가치가 있음을 시사한다. The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of reduction in aggression of young children and interpersonal problem solving ability between outdoor activity of rough and tumble play and general outdoor activity play. The subjects in this study were 40 five-year-olds at J kindergarten in G city. The collected data were analyzed by t-test using SPSS 19.0 program. The results of this study were as follows: First, it was found that the outdoor activity of rough and tumble play has positive influence on the reduction of aggression and its subordinate variables (physical aggression and verbal aggression) of young children. Second, it was found that the outdoor activity of rough and tumble play has more positive influence on increase of alternative solution thinking and consequential thinking of young children. The results suggested that it is meaningful to clarify the outdoor activity with rough and tumble play could make positive effect on reduction of young children`s aggression and increase of interpersonal problem solving ability. It was also founded that it is worthy of utilizing in early childhood education field.

      • 갑상선 여포상 선종과 암종의 감별진단에서 p27KIP1, MIB-1, bcl-2, p53 발현의 유용성에 대한 연구

        Objectives: The most important differential point of follicular carcinoma from adenoma is capsular invasion or angioinvasion of follicular cells. Serial sections for examination of levels of tumor margins are necessary to watch the invasion. However, the interpretation of capsular invasion or angioinvasion is sometimes not feasible on the routine staining of tumor tissue. The aim of this study is to evaluate the clinical significance of expressions of p27KIP1, MIB-1, bcl-2 and p53 in differential diagnosis of follicular adenoma and carcinoma. Materials and Methods: 16 cases of follicular carcinoma and 26 cases of follicular adenoma were entered on study of immunohistochemical stains for p27KIP1, MIB-1, bcl-2 and p53. In carcinoma cases, correlation between the above markers, patient's age, tumor size, infiltration pattern and metastasis was studied. Results: p27KIP1 labelling index (LI) of follicular carcinoma and adenoma was 4.89±6.92 and 14.52±9.17, respectively, but there was no significant difference between adenoma and carcinoma (p=0.2560). MIB-1 LI of carcinoma and adenoma was 4.11±3.89 and 0.80±0.75, respectively, and MIB-1 LI was significantly higher in carcinoma (p=0.0000). bcl-2 expression was seen in 2(12.5%) of 16 carcinoma cases and 130(50.0%) of 26 adenoma cases, and bcl-2 expression rate was higher in adenoma than in carcinoma(p=0.014). In one adenoma and one carcinoma case, p53 expression was noted. In follicular adenoma with atypia compared to adenoma without atypia, lower p27KIP1 LI, higher MIB-1 LI and lower bcl-2 expression rate were seen. In follicular carcinoma, MIB-1 LI was significantly higher in invasive carcinoma(p=0.045) and was relatively increased in tumors larger than 3.0cm, showing angioinvasion and distant metastasis. But p27KIP1 LI was higher in cases over 40 years old(p=0.008) and with conspicuous capsular invasion. There were no positive correlations between expressions of MIB-1, bcl-2 and p53. Conclusion: MIB-1 labelling index and bcl-2 expression could be helpful for differential diagnosis of follicular adenoma and carcinoma, but p53 showed very low expression rate and no significance in differential diagnosis. p27KIP1 labelling index reveals decreasing tendency in carcinoma compared with adenoma, MIB-1 LI was considered as a poor prognostic marker in follicular carcinoma, but p27KIP1 LI was higher in carcinoma cases over 40 years old with showing conspicuous capsular invasion. Further study for the significance of p27KIP1 labelling index in follicular neoplasms is necessary to evaluate diagnostic value of follicular carcinoma.

        Exogenous GA_3 Increases Rubisco Activation in Soybean Leaves

        We studied the effect of exogenous applications of GA_3 on rubisco activation in soybean leaves. Activity at 0.1μM GA_3 was significantly greater than in leaves receiving no treatment Rubisco content snowed patterns of change similar to that for activity. These data suggest that activity was associated with the amount of rubisco protein, and that the activation and induction of rubisco was promoted by GA_3. The degree of intensity of the 50- and 14.5-kD polypeptides (identified as the large and small subunit, respectively, of rubisco by SDS-PAGE analysis) at 0.1μM GA_3 was significantly higher than that for the control, indicating that GA_3 affected both subunits. The stimulation effects of rubisco activation by GA_3 seem to be caused by the expression of rubisco genes at the transcriptional level. Assuming that these GA_3 effects were related to rubisco activase, we also determined the activity and content of that enzyme. Its activity at 0.1μM GA_3 increased more than did the control. A similar pattern of change was observed for rubisco activase content The intensity of two 46- and 42-kD polypeptide bands at GA_3 was higher than for the corresponding bands at the control. Therefore, the change in rubisco activase levels may lead to altered levels of rubisco.

        Influence of Benomyl on Photosynthetic Capacity in Soybean Leaves

        This investigation was performed to study the influence of benomyl on photosynthetic pigments and enzymes in soybean leaves. Chlorophyll and pheophytin levels were reduced by benomyl 45 days after greening. These results indicate that chlorophyll a and b, and pheophytin must be controlled by benomyl. SDS-PAGE analysis showed that 50 and 14.5 kD polypeptides represented as large and small subunits of rubisco. In the both of these subunits, the band intensity of the control was significantly higher than that after benomyl treatment, indicating that these two subunits are affected by benomyl. Benomyl strongly inhibited both the activity and content of rubisco as its concentration was gradually increased. However, it remains unclear whether this reduction of rubisco level was due to a reduced level of rubisco activase. Two major polypeptides of 46 and 42 kD were identified as rubisco activase subunits by SDS-PAGE. The intensity of these two bands was shown to be higher in the control than after benomyl treatment. These results indicate that the rubisco decrease resulting from increased benomyl concentrations was caused by rubisco activase. A significant decrease in both the activity and content of rubisco activase by benomyl was also observed. There results suggest that the decrease in rubisco level caused by benomyl is accompanied by a decrease in both the activity and content of rubisco activase.
