Abstract- In a plasma source ion implantation, the target is successively biased by negative voltage pulses with an intrinsic finite rise time, resulting in the time-dependent sheath formation around the target. Measurement of time-dependent sheath during the pulse rise show the ion matrix sheath development which is in proportion to square root of time and pulse rise rate over plasma density but independent of the ion mass.

Background : In recent years, gonorrhea has been pandemic and remains one of the most common STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Methods : For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of PPNG, we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the Venereal Disease Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results : In 1997. 99 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 45(45.5%) were PPNG. Conclusion : The prevalence of PPNG in Seoul, which had been decreased to 39% in 1996 after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, is increased to 45.5% in 1997.

八味元이 Streptozotocin 糖尿病에 미치는 影響

Streptozotocin was injected to rats and rabbits to induce the experimental diabetes mellitus and Palmiwon was administrated to observe the changes of blood sugar, body weight, and serum Zn, Ca, Mg level in order to find out the effect of diabetic tratment by experimental method. And thus, the result was as follows: 1. The blood sugar level of diabetic rat was decreased after administration of Palmiwon. 2. Body weight of diabetic rat was moderately decreased after administratin of Palmiwon. 3. The less streptozotocin, 30 mg/kg, don't easily induce diabetes mellitus in rabbits. We did not find the changes of blood sugar, serum Zn, Ca, Mg level in the rabbits injected by streptozotocin, 30mg/kg of body weight.

This study was aiming how the long term aerobic exercise of 3 years effects on the improvement of the risk factor in the cardiovascular disease and on the VO₂max in the middle aged and old aged. The subjects were among the members and the employees of S hotel in Seoul. 120 persons of them were classified to their 40th, 50th and 60th and again grouped to be the exercise group and the non-exercise group. The intensity of the exercise of the exercise group accorded to about 60~80% of the HRmax and they practiced about one hour over three times a week which included mainly the warm up, the main exercise (treadmill, fixed bicycle) and the cool down. The data analysis adopted was the 3 way ANOVA to study the risk factor of the cardiovascular and the VO₂max by the exercise practicing facts, age and sex in the middle aged and old aged. The result of the research was as follow; LDL-C, hs-CRP by sex, age and exercise practicing facts shown no significance difference with p>.05. But the summed value of TC/HDLC, hs-CRP and TC/HDL-C with the male shown to be significant with p<.05 level while showing no significance (p>.05) with the female. The heart rate by sex, age and exercise fact at the resting shown no significance with p>.05 level. When it accords to VO₂max by sex, age and exercising fact, with men, between the exercising group and the non-exercising group shown significant difference among 40th and 60th with the level of p<.05. Among women group of exercising group, VO₂max between 40th and 60th shown significant difference with p<.05 while among non-exercise-group, between the 40th and the 60th, between 50th and 60th show significant difference with the level of p<.05. The research, thus have searched out that the long term aerobic exercise of about three years effected positive results on the cardiovascular risk factors (hs-CRP, TC/LDL-C) of the old aged and VO₂max find out also to be high comparing to that of the non-exercising group.

모래의 입도분포가 모르터의 물성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

Fineness Modulus is a term used as an index to the fineness of sand. It is well - known that the modulus distribution of sand plays an important role in achieving the desired properties of mortar. The maximum size of sand is also important parameter in mortar. These parameters affect workability, strength and unitweight of mortar. In tills study, different sand gradings were used to investigate effects of fineness moduli of sand for examination about the workability, strength and unit weight characteristics of cement mortar. Two kinds of sands with various size distribution and three kinds of fine aggregates with the similar particle size distribution (Sieve No.16~30, No.30~50, No.50~100) were used. Water-cement ratio (W/C) of mortar mix was kept constant for all the trial mixes with sand of different fineness modulus. Major findings of tills study are: (a) Fine sand with the similar size distribution reduces the workability and unit weight of cement mortar. (b) The compressive strength of mortar is not sensitive to sand grading variations. (c) The compressive strengths at the age of 28 days range from 32.1 to 54.1 MPa. (d) The sand with standard modulus distribution has better positive effects on the properties of the mortar.

This paper aims to research on the settlement of the Sino-Korean sea resources controve rsy by analyzing, on one hand, Communist China's attitude toward international law and the law of the sea, especially development of the sea-bed resorces and, on the other hand, reviewing international rules relating to the delimitation of joint continental shelf. In Chapter Ⅲ, several rules of international law concerned in this study……equidistance principle, natural prolongation theory, special circumstances/equitable principle and discussions at UNCLOS Ⅲ etc. …… are introduced. This study permits the following conclusion: ⑴ Delimitation of continental shelf between Korea and China in Yellow Sea and East China Sea should be followed in accordance with the median line. ⑵ Sea-bed resources controversy should be settled peacefully by negotiation between states concerned unless the third party's conciliation system is provided. ⑶ Under the circumstances of states which are not politically normalized, it is consided that informal negotiation through the regional institution non-politically organized such as CCOP will be useful in order to stimulate hopeful route for normal negotiation.

효소형 분석에 의한 국내 등줄쥐(Apodemus agrarius coreae)와 흰넓적다리붉은쥐(Apodemus peninsulae peninsulae)의 특성 조사

경기, 강원, 충청, 경상 그리고 전라지역 에서 225마리의 들쥐를 포획하였더니 Apodemus agrarius coreae가 200마리로 전국적인 분포를 보였고, Apodemus peninsulae peninsulae는 25마리로 강원, 경상 및 전라지역에서만 포획되었다. 전기영동법을 이용하여 이들 두 종에 대한 간장 조직에서 조사하였던 G6PDH, ADA, PEP-A, PEP-B, AAT, SOD, LDH, MDH, PNP, GAPDH 등 10종 모두가 검출되었다. 등줄쥐에서는 전기영동분석 결과 32종의 표현형이, 흰넓적다리붉은쥐에서 8가지가 검출되었다. 두 종의 locus의 평균 유전학적인 다양성은 0.130으로 나타났고, 유전학적인 차이는 0.100~0.600으로 상대적인 차이를 보였으며, 등줄쥐는 0.150~0.398사이에 네 개의 집단으로 구분되었던 반면 흰넓적다리붉은쥐는 0.100~0.275의 차이로 확인되었다. 경기지역의 안성, 여주 그리고 전라지역의 완주에서 포획된 등줄쥐를 제외하고는 지역에 따라서 6~11개의 조직내 효소 표현형이 중복되어 있었다. 흰넓적다리붉은쥐 역시 한 가지 이상의 표현형이 있었고 이들은 지역적인 차이를 보였으며, 등줄쥐와 조직내 효소형과 중복되어 있었다. Two hundred of Apodemus agarius coreae and twenty five of Apodemus peninsulae peninsulae were caught from Kyonggi, Kangwon, Chungchong, Jeolla and Kyongssang provinces across the country. Isoenzyme patterns were analyzed by gel electrophoresis with liver homogenates of A. a. coreae and A. p. peninsulae. Using 10 enzyme systems, 32 electrophoretic types (ETs) were identified from two species of Apodemus including 8 ETs from A. p. peninsulae with genetic diversity per locus between 0.00 and 0.54 (mean 0.13). Genetic distances among ETs of A. a. coreae and A. p. peninsulae was between 0.100 and 0.600. Thirty two ETs of both species of Apodemus were classified to four major groups with genetic distance from 0.150 to 0.398. Eight ETs of A. p. peninsulae were grouped into four subgroups with genetic distance from 0.100 to 0.275. All ETs of A. p. peninsulae were belong to those of A. a. coreae with enzymatic variation. There was only one ET in A. a. coreae from Ansong an Yoju counties in Kyonggi and Wanju county in Jeolla province. However, all samples collected from the rest were identified to have 6 to 11 ETs on local enzymatic variance. Enzymatic overlap between both species was confirmed with at least one ET depending on the sites of collection.

능동표적신호합성 알고리듬의 실시간 구현

The simulation of target-scattered echo with the moving sonar platform and target in 3-dimensional ocean environment is essential to validate and evaluate the performance of a sonar system. This paper presents the improved target signal simulation on the basis of the highlight(HL) model and its realtime algorithm. In order to simulate the scattering highlight, the highlight is represented as a directional scatterer. The realtime generation algorithm of the target signal is realized by use of DSP chip, TMS320C40, where the 40 channels are equally separated to form a parallel processing task in 4 processors. The presented realtime-version of target signal simulation can be used as a target signal simulator in the development of ACM(Acoustic Counter Measure) and advanced sonar signal processing techniques.

영광군 홍농읍 주변 해역의 동물플랑크톤 분포

Studies on the seasonal distribution of zooplankton were carried out in 1994 in waters off Yongkwang Atomic Power Plant. Zooplankton samples were collected four times seasonally at six selected stations. Forty - three taxa of zooplankton were distributed and 25 species representing 21 copepods, 2 chaetognaths, 1 protozoan and appendicularian were identified to species level. Zooplankton abundance varied between 840-42, 014 indiv. m-3 and were recorded the highest abundance in September and the lowest in February. Seasonal succession in the dominant species was observed from winter and spring with Acartia omorii to summer and autumn with A. pacifica and Paracalanus indicus. With the prevalence of ueritic copepods all the year round, i.e., A. omorii, A. pacifica and P. indicus, the studied waters were revealed to have the typical zooplankton fauna in coastal waters of the Yellow Sea.
