        Background : In recent years, gonorrhea has been panedemic and remains one of the most commom STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Methods: For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of PPNG, we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the VD Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results: In 1996, 139 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 53(39.0%) were PPNG. Conclusion: Our results suggests that after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, the prevalence of PPNG in Seoul is gradually declining.

        구내 골신장술 후 식립된 전치부 임플란트보철 치험보고

        Objective : This is to report the effectiveness of intraoral distraction osteogenesis for alveolar augmentation in the extremely atrophied alveolar defects and to review the clinical results of the 2 cases. Subjects and Methods : Anterior segmental osteotomy was performed and the trans-oral alveolar distractors(Martin, Germany) were applied in 2 patients with the severe acquired anterior maxillary and mandibular defect. After latent period for 1 week, the osteomized alveolar segments were distracted by 1 ㎜ a day (0.5 ㎜/l turn) for 8 days in case Ⅰ and 0.6 ㎜ a day(0.3 ㎜/l turn) for 10 days in case Ⅱ. The consolidation period was about 8 weeks in each case. Thereafter, 6 titanium threaded implants(Branemark, Restore) were simultaneously installed with removal of distractor. The implants were tested clinically and radiographically. Results : Amounts of acquired alveolar bone were 8 ㎜ in case Ⅰ and 6 ㎜ in case Ⅱ respectively, with the increased width of the ridge crests and soft tissue expansion. Dental implants installated on the augmented alveolar ridges in 8 weeks after distrction were confirmed as in good osseointegration and in good function without any complications. Conclusion : Intraoral distraction osteogenesis can be a good option for alveolar ridge augmentation of the severely atrophied ridges and soft-tissue defects. However, for the better vector control of distracting segments and for anterior esthetics, customized distraction devices could be considered later.

        함석헌 노장이해의 특징

        이 글의 목적은 노장사상이 현대 사회에 어떠한 의의를 가질 수 있는지, 어떠한 역할을 할 수 있는지 모색해보기 위한 작업의 일환으로, 한국 근현대를 살았던 함석헌의 사상에 대하여 특히 그의 노장관을 중심으로 고찰하는데 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 함석헌의 철학적 기반으로서 종교적 다원주의 및 씨알사상을 검토하였고, 이러한 철학적 기반 위에서 함석헌 노장이해의 특징을 ‘自治의 이념’ ‘비폭력 평화주의’ ‘씨알사상에 근거한 역사철학’이라는 세 측면으로 분석하였다. 선행연구를 통해 밝혀진 함석헌 노장관의 가장 큰 의의는 현실의 국가주의와 제국주의에 맞서며 비폭력평화주의를 주장하고 있다는 점이다. 본 고에서는 이러한 선행연구를 기반으로, 노장사상과 맞닿아 있으며 동시에 그의 씨알사상, 기독교사상과도 연결되어 있는 ‘하수구’라는 독특한 개념을 중심으로 함석헌이 제시하는 세계사적인 비젼의 내용과 의미를 고찰하였다. Ham Seok-heon (13 March 1901~4 February 1989) was a civil rights activist committed to human rights and non-violence during the period of Japanese colonial rule, Soviet military government, and Korean military dictatorship. His commitment to human rights, democracy, non-violence, and pacifism earned him the name, ‘the Gandhi of Korea,’ and the Religious Society of Friends (Quaker) nominated him for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 and 1985. Ham was also a Korean liberal thinker who tried to combine Christianity with various Eastern philosophical perspectives in order to find Korea’s spiritual identity and produce new values. He considered Japanese imperialism and Korean dictatorship as a product of modern totalitarianism, and he found and developed important ideas to overcome totalitarianism and keep pacifism among East Asian thoughts, especially in Taoism, although his ideological foundation was Christianity. This paper mainly analyzes this point with a focus on Ham’s idea of ‘Sewer’. In his view of Korean history, Ham uniquely interpreted the historical experiences and mission of Korean people, referring to Korea as the ‘Sewer’ of World History. The idea of ‘Sewer’ can be construed as a ‘Place’ in Ham’s thought and teleological view of history, in that it refers to a convergence of Korean past historical-cultural experiences and future ideals, and in a way, it means the ultimate goal, salvation of humanity, throughout history. To illuminate this idea, above all, I investigate Ham’s distinctive concept of Ssial (seed grains), which means ‘the people’ as the historical subject, who keep fundamental life in themselves like seed grains. Ham also matched it with some concepts of ‘weakness’ ‘humbleness’ ‘benevolence’ in Laozi. Ham believed only suffering people can sympathize with other people’s suffering, and that is why God gave the Korean people lots of adversities in their history, as a ‘Sewer’ of World History. Therefore, ‘weak’ and ‘humble’ Korean people, groaned under despotism and totalitarianism, could carry their cross, ‘love’ other people, and so achieve world peace in the truest sense. Ham was also an inspiration to many various anti-authoritarianism or pro-democracy movements in Korea, in terms of suggesting various approaches including ecology, syncretism, liberation theology, and so on.

      • 고립성 폐결절의 조직학적 진단에 있어서 경기관지폐생검의 진단적 가치

        Transbronchial lung biopsy(TBLB) is a relatively simple and convenient diagnostic tool in solitary pulmonary nodule(SPN) on chest radiograph, which is cannot be diagnosed through routine tests. To investigate the diagnostic value and diagnostic rate of TBLB according to the variable factor, we analyzed 69 patients with radiologically SPN lesion on chest radiograph which was confirmed histologically. A histologic diagnosis of TBLB was made in 47 of 69 patients(68.1%), in which 26 of 37(70.3%) with malignancy and 21 of 32(65.6%) with benign lesion. There were no significant differences in diagnostic yield according to age, sex and location of the lesion. The diagnostic rate tended to increase with the more than 5 pieces to acquired by TBLB. When the size of SPN was less than 3 ㎝, it cannot be diagnosed. In conclusion, TBLB is a diagnostic procedure with good yield and safety, but percutaneous needle aspiration, transbronchial needle aspiration, and bronchial washing fluid cytology may be a complementary procedure to overcome the limitation of TBLB and get higher diagnostic yield for SPN.

      • 유한요소법을 위한 초기요소망 구성에 관한 연구

        This paper describes a method for mesh generation of arbitrary polyhedra. This method is based on Delanuay's triangulation whose dual is well-known Vornoi's diagram. Firstly, this algorithm divides analysis model into a finite set of elements using minimum input data for depicting its boundary shape. And interior node placement can being using a proposed strategy . Finally, the connectivities are fixed and the nodes are repositioned to produce elements with somewhat improved shapes. The technique we use is called Laplacian smoothing.

Then it is required to extract symbols and recognition them. Thus we developed an automatic symbol extraction and recognition system for geographic map. which enabled to input such map, at recognition rate over 85%.

      • 애니메이션의 효율적인 동작 제어에 관한 연구

        본 논문에서는 캐릭터 애니메이션의 효율적인 동작 제어를 위하여 익스프레션을 이용한 애니메이션을 제작하였다. 익스프레션을 이용한 애니메이션은 움직임의 표현에 있어서, 자연스러운 애니메이션을 좀더 쉽고 유용하게 표현하기 위한 방법으로 캐릭터의 동작 제어점들을 분석하여 익스프레션에서 애니메이션을 제어할 수 있는 요소를 찾아 그 식에 사용하였으며, 이것을 토대로 캐릭터의 동작을 자동적으로 제어하는 애니메이션을 구현하였다. 익스프레션에 의한 애니메이션은 간편한 조작으로 자연스럽고 현실적인 움직임을 생성할 수 있다는 익스프레션의 효율성이 장점으로 나타났지만, 애니메이터에 의한 키 프레임 방식에 의한 애니메이션보다는 어색함을 보였다. This paper manufactured animation to use expression for efficient action control of character animation. Animation to use expression is method to express natural animation little more easily and usefully in expression of motion Find urea that could control animation in expression analyzing action control points of character and used in ceremony Embodied animation to control automatically action of character on the basis of this. Efficiency of expression that animation by expression can create natural and realistic action by manufacturing that is simple was expose by advantage, but showed awkwardness than animation by key frame way by animator.

        In this paper, we discribe electromagnetic field analysis of waveguide using the vector finite element method. The conventional finite element method which imposes the state variables on the nodes of the segmented elements, usually generates the spurious solutions in the course of analyzing waveguide components. But the vector finite element method, which imposes the state variables on the edges, does not generate the spurious solutions ingerently. Therefore, the vector finite element method is used as an analysis implemented in order to apply it into two dimensional waveguide models. The effectveness of the presented method has been verified through typical 2-dimensional case studies.

        In this paper, the vector finite elements are abopted to calculate eigenvalues of RF and microwave components. Simulation results show that spurious solutions are completely avoided because of the divergence free nature of the vector elements. This paper seeks to extend these low-order elements to higher orders to improve the accuracy of numerical solutions. Investigation of numerical results for a rectangular waveguide was provided. A vector finite element program was implemented to allow propagation constants and electric field distributions to be directly computed in the rectangular and circular waveguides which are partially filled with the dielectric.

        전자토모그래피의 정량적 분석에서 대물렌즈 조리개의 영향

        Electron tomography의 정량적 분석을 위해서 대물렌즈 조리개가 투과빔의 강도에 미치는 영향을 평가하였다. Electron tomography에 도입되는 Beer’s law의 올바른 적용을 위해서는 투과빔은 시료의 기울기에 따른 mass thickness의 변화에 의한 효과만을 반영해야 한다. 그러므로 빔 경로상의 대물렌즈 조리개, 홀더 등에 의한 다른 효과는 제거되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 대물렌즈 조리개의 cut-off 효과를 120 kV TEM과 Quantifoil holey 카본 시료를 이용하여 상세히 평가하였다. 대물렌즈 조리개를 사용하지 않은 경우와 비교할 때, 30 μm 크기의 대물렌즈 조리개를 통과한 투과전자빔의 강도는 약 16.7%의 감소가 일어난다. 또한 55˚이상의 고경사각 기울기에서는 대물렌즈 조리개의 cut-off 효과에 의해 14.2%의 강도 감소가 추가적으로 발생함을 알 수 있었다. Electron tomography에서 정량적 분석을 위해서는 이러한 대물렌즈 조리개의 영향을 고려해야만 한다. 또한 Beer’s law의 올바른 적용을 위해서는 일련의 기울기에 따른 2차원적 영상은 가능하면 대물렌즈 조리개를 사용하지 않은 상태에서 획득하는 것이 바람직하다. We have evaluated the effects of experimental factors on transmitted electron beam intensities for quantitative analysis in electron tomography. For the correct application of Beer’s law in electron tomography, the transmitted beam intensity should reflect the net effect of mass properties on beam path. So, the any other effects of the objective aperture and the specimen holder on beam path should be removed. The cut-off effects of objective aperture were examined using Quantifoil holey carbon film and a transmission electron microscope operated at 120 kV. The transmitted beam intensities with 30 μm objective aperture dropped about 16.7% compared to electron beam intensities without the objective aperture. Also, the additional losses of about 14.2% at high tilt angles were occurred by cut-off effects of the objective apertures. For the precise quantitative analysis in electron tomography, the effect of the objective aperture on transmitted electron beam intensities should be considered. It is desirable that 2-D tilt series images are obtained without the objective aperture for correct application of Bee’s law.
