Background : In recent years, gonorrhea has been panedemic and remains one of the most commom STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Methods: For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of PPNG, we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the VD Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results: In 1996, 139 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 53(39.0%) were PPNG. Conclusion: Our results suggests that after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, the prevalence of PPNG in Seoul is gradually declining.

한국어의 특성을 고려한 용례 검색 시스템

본 논문에서는 한국어의 특성을 고려한 용례 검색 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 직접 용례 검색과 색인 기반 용례 검색을 제공한다. 직접 용례 검색에서는 원시 말뭉치에서 한글 음절 단위의 검색뿐만 아니라 한글 자소 단위의 검색이 가능하며, 색인 기반 용례 검색에서는 어절, 형태소, 그리고 체계화된 품사정보를 이용한 검색이 가능하다. 검색속도 및 색인된 파일의 크기는 실험을 통하여 최적화 한다. 사용자는 검색된 용례로부터 연산 및 정렬 과정을 거쳐서 보다 정확하게 선별된 용례를 얻을 수 있다. 본 시스템을 통해 얻어진 용례 정보는 사전 편찬 등의 한국어 연구의 기초 자료로 활용할 수 있으며, 말뭉치를 기반으로 한 다양한 분야에서 활용할 수 있을 것이다. In this paper, we propose the concordance system considering the characteristics of Korean. The proposed system provides two kinds of retrieval method: direct access retrieval and index based retrieval. In direct access retrieval method, it is possible to retrieve examples using grapheme-based query as well as syllable based query. In index-based retrieval method, it is possible to retrieve examples using eojeol, morpheme, or part-of-speech. The speed of the system and the size of the indexed file is optimized through several experiments. Users can acquire the exact and selective examples from previously retrieved items by filtering and/or sorting. The linguistic information acquired by the system can be utilized as basic data for Korean Linguistic research such as lexicography and it can be used in various application fields based on corpus.

The exposure dose of recycling and reuse on a large amount of the steel scrap from the KRR-1 & 2 decommissioning activities was evaluated. The maximum individual dose and collective dose were evaluated by using international technical criterion and recommendation for NUREG-1640 and IAEA Safety Series 111-P-1.1 and modifying internal dose conversion factor which was based on the concept of effective dose in ICRP 60, applied to the RESRAD-RECYCLE(Ver. 3.06) computing code as the assessment tool. The exposure does were ultimately determined by extracting the most conservative value from the results of the generic assessment and specific assessment methodologies. The result of assessment for individual dose and collective dose is 23.9 μ㏜ per year and 0.11 man ·㏜ per year respectively. The result of clearance level for radionuclides(Co^(60), Cs^(137)) is less than 0.167 Bq/g to comply with the clearance criterion provided for Korea Atomic Energy Act and relevant regulations.

자동차 사고의 한 사회심리락적 분석(I) : 골목길 사고와 추돌 사고 Back-ally Accidents and Rear-end Collisions

서울과 지방 도시에서 1993년에 발생한 자동차 운전사고 240사례의 기록을 토대로 가장 흔히 발생하는 사고 유형을 서울에서 7개, 그리고 지방 도시에서 8개 선정해서 각각의 유형 안에서 사고가 발생하는 원인을 사회심리학적 입장에서 분석했다. 사고의 의미 있는 심리학적인 이해와 효과적인 방지책 설립을 위해서는 사고를 사고 빈발 상황 별로 분석할 필요성을 역설하고 실제 사례 분석으로 틀을 고찰했다. 이어 서울에서 확인된 사고유형중 (1)골목길 사고와 (2)정지선에서의 차-차 추돌사고를 분석했다. 골목길 사고는 주로 어린 피해자의 충동적 횡단이 그리고 추돌 사고에서는 운전자의 운전경력부족이 사고의 원인으로 밝혀졌다. . A random sample of 240 auto accidents which occurred in 1993 in a Seoul district and a small city outside Seoul have been classified according to the similarity of the situation. A total of 7 categories in Seoul(N=120) and 9 categories for the small city(N=120) were identified in terms of high frequency of occurrence. The present paper first argued for the usefulness of combinining an interdependency analysis and a cause-effect analysis of auto accidents. The present report then presented an analysis of two specific categories from Seoul, namely (1) backally car-person accidents and (2)rear-end collision accidents. 악관절 강직의 치험 36예 보고

Ankylosis of the mandible is a serious and most disabling condition. Impairment of speech, difficulty with mastication, poor oral hygience, facial asymmetiry, and mandibular micrognathia invariably result in much physical and psychologic disability, particularly in young children with complete inability to open the mouth. We performed a one stage reconstruction of temporomandibular joint at the same time as performing multiple additional oateotomies to correct the facial asymmetiry. Temporomandibular joint was reconstructed with costchondral graft or interpositional arthroplasty with silastic implant. Breakdown of 36 cases is as follows. 1. Most prevelent incidence is at age of 21-30 revealed no sex predilection. 2. Trauma was the most common cause, found in 8 patients. 3. Average preoperative mouth opening was 21mm and postroperative mouth opening was 39.8mm 27 patients with interincisor lengh greater than 30mm resumed a satisfactory life style with no discomfort. 4. Anethesia was done by fiberoptic nasotracheal intubation in 31 patients. 5. Postroperative complication included infection in 3 patients which was treated with local and systemic antibiotic therapy. 1 patient developed transient lower lip hypoesthesia.1 patient complained remained facial asymmetiry, which was corrected by fat injection. 6. In 20 patients simultaneous total correction of temporomandibular joint ankylosis and facial asymmetry were done.

This paper concerns IF-stage and data recovery as a basic study for home products of GPS receiver. Using a transmission simulator, the same data can be received as transmission simulator transmits. Consequently, it is considered that IF-stage and the part of data recovery operate fairly good and attaching microprocessor control and time interval counter to this system will operate better. It can be expected that providing the system with RF-stage and antenna will be complete GPS receiver.

어린이의 하악골에서 발생한 Burkitt 림프종

Burkitt 림프종은 B림프구 기원의 악성종양으로 비호지킨 림프종(non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma)의 한 종류이다. Burkitt 림프종은 임상적으로 아프리카에서 나타나는 지역형(endemic), 세계 각지에서 발생하는 산발형(sporadic), 면역결핍상태와 관련되어 나타나는 형태로 나눌 수 있다. 과거에는 그 예후가 매우 불량했으나, 최근에는 집중적인 화학요법으로 인한 치료 성공률이 50-80%에 달한다. 많은 경우 악골을 포함하고 있으며 임상증상으로는 심하게 흔들리는 치아, 치아의 변위 그리고 치은의 발적 및 부종 등이 있다. 본 증례는 진행속도가 상당히 빠른 Burkitt 림프종에 이환된 환아에 대한 내용이다. 악골에 생긴 병소로 내원하였으며, 치과에서 처음 진단하였고 신속하고 적절한 치료를 통해 양호한 결과를 얻었다. Burkitt’s lymphoma is a malignant tumor originated from B lymphocyte and a type of non-hodgkin lymphoma. It is clinically classified by endemic, sporadic and immune deficient forms. In the past, it had poor prognosis but in recent years survival rate is 50~80% treated by intensive chemotherapeutic regimens. Mostly it is a lesion of the jaws. Clinical symptoms are severe tooth mobility, displacement, gingival redness and swelling. This case is about a patient with aggressively progressing Burkitt’s lymphoma of the jaws. Initial diagnosis was done in dental hospital and it has shown satisfactory outcome by prompt and appropriate treatment.

자동차 공조용 핀형 열교환기의 성능특성에 관한 연구

Fin-tube type(Fin-type) heat exchanger has been tested in order to replace the heat exchanger of parallel flow type(P.F-type) which is now widly used in automobile air conditioning system. The following conclusions are drawn by the comparison of the characteristics of the heat exchangers. Evaporator and condenser capacities and COP(Coefficience of performance) were varied as with the compressor speed, outdoor air temperature and air flow rate changed, which much influenced on the characteristics of the air conditioning system. Evaporator and condenser capacities were increased with increasing compressor speed and outdoor air temperature. Evaporator and condenser pressures of Fin- type were decreased by 7% and 5% respectively compared with those of P.F-type. The COP of Fin-type was decreased with increasing outdoor air temperature and compressor speed. The COP of P.F-type was decreased by 14% compared with that of Fin-type.
