        Biodegradable retinal fixation devices obtain mechnical fixation of the retina with desirable chorioretinal scarring and with the potential for local, sustained release of antimetabolites and steroids to inhibit proliferative vitreoretinopathy. We manufactured a biodegradable retinal tack with barb that was designed in order to prevent intrusion from implantation of retinal tacks. This study was carried to evaluate the efficacy for retinal fixation and the capability for sustained release of drugs with a newly designed biodegradable retinal tack Biodegradable retinal tacks were made of polymers of glycolic acids and were designed with barbs in a shape to prevent the disinsertion. Biodegradale retinal tacks are divided into 3 parts, a conical portion that is inserted into the sclera, a cylinder portion that remains in the vitreous, and a neck portion between the pin and the cylinder. The tapered conical end was manufactured to allow easy insertion through the retina and choroid into the sclera. A cylinder portion was manufactured with a tapered angle that fixes firmly into the orifice of 19 gauge spinal needle. A neck portion, 0.4 mm in diameter, was designed to prevent disinsertion from following implantation of retinal tack. The applicator was a 19 gauge spinal needle and its orifice was prepared to 15°angle to accept the tapered cylinder portion of the retinal tack. The retinal tacks, secured in the needles, were passed through the formed vitreous and inserted into the retina, choroid, and sclera and were released by pushing the internal needle, usually within 2-3mm of the medullary ray of the posterior rabbit retina A retinal tack was placed in each of 8 pigmented rabbit eyes. Slit-lamp biomicroscopy, indirect ophthalmoscopy and fundus photography were performed periodically from 1 day to 8 weeks after surgery. Eight eyes were enucleated and studied by light microscopy at 8 weeks. Biomicroscopic evaluation of the animals revealed edemas adjacent to the retinal surfaces immediately after insertion of the biodegradable retinal tacks in all the animals. These edemas disappeared after 1 week. The first noticeable change in the size of retinal tacks was shown after 2weeks. The size of the retinal tacks gradually got smaller, decreasing to about one-half at 4 weeks and about one-third at 8 weeks. All retinal tacks remained in inserted places without any movement for an 8 week period. On light microscopy, epiretinal proliferations were seen to extend into the vitreous cavity. Cellular capsules that lined the inner aspect of the scleral defect caused by tack insertion were found. However the adjacent retina had a normal cytologic appearance and architecture in all specimens. We manufactured a biodegradable retinal tack that is designed to prevent intrusion from implantation of retinal tacks. All biodegradable retinal tacks reduce in size with time, but no retinal tacks extruded from the inserted place. The newly designed biodegradable retinal tack can be used for retinal fixation and may be used as a vehicle for the introduction of pharmacologic agents to prevent the cellular events that promote proliferative vitreoretinopathy.

      • Kim,Seong-soo : Possiblity of Low Salting Process in Gae-Woo Jeot(Salted and Fermented Gastrophoda) and Changes in Fatty Acid Composition during Fermntation 低鹽化 可能性 檢討 및 熱成중 脂肪酸 組成의 變化

        To establish the way of processing of Gae-Woo jeot which used abalone intestine that has not been systematically used compare to its characteristic taste and fame as main ingredient and to develop as a local tourist good, the change of constituents the quality of salted fish products suring Gae-Woo jeot fermentation were examined. The results are as follows. 1. In the organoleptic test, Gae-Woo jeot which fermented through 65 days were dominant and the group of 105 salkt concentration were better than that of 20%. It was the best of 10% salted products to add small abalone. Both law salted(10%) and high salted (20%) Gae-Woo jeot were similar in general constityents, nutrients and texture. 2. Compositions of highly unsaturated acid were farely high to 45.6% and 46.1% in small abalone added froup and top sheel added group respectively. during 3 months fermentation low decreasing rate of 3~4% was shown. EPA(eicosapentaenoic acid) was approximately 7~8% and DHA(docosahexaenoic acid) was extremely low to be less than 0.3%. 3. In the changes General composition and pH, pH was within range of 4~5.5, 9~12% in protein, 3~5% in total sugar, 0.5~1% in lipid and approximately 1% in ash. 4. Gae-Woo jeot can be made with 10% low salting method, and 10% group gets all the better for taste, small abalone adding is recommended. 5. When low salt fermented fish of 10% is processed, it is highly recommended to put sorbitol, ethyl alcohol, lactic acid or other humectant for better taste and longer storage and good quality food additives must be developed for tourist and presently applied mil ordering transportation must be sought.

        A study on price-determinants for Knowledge Industry Center

        오늘날의 지식산업센터의 경우는 지식산업 및 소프트웨어 관련업종 및 IT업체, 디자인 및 도시형 제조업 등의 다양한 분야의 업종들이 입주할 수 있으며, 지식산업센터의 일부분은 입주사 등의 편의사항을 지원해주는 업무지원시설과 근린생활시설 등의 기반시설로 인하여 각종 지원을 함으로서 건물 내에서 모든 생활이 가능하게끔 하고 있다. 또한 세제혜택 및 다양한 금융지원으로 인하여 향후 지식정보센터는 투자적인 측면에서 중요한 부동산 분야의 개발상품으로서의 위치를 확보할 것으로 예상된다. 이러한 인식을 바탕으로 본 연구는 지식산업센터의 가격결정모형을 구축하여 영향요인을 도출함으로써 투자 및 개발측면의 합리적 의사결정기준을 제시하고자 하였다. 분석결과 지식산업센터 매각가격에 유의한 영향을 주는 변수는 임대가, 전용율, 경과년수 등 3개의 변수로 나타났으며, 매각가격에 대한 영향력은 경과년수가 가장 높고 임대가, 전용율 순으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 건축 년도가 오래될수록 지식산업센터의 가격은 낮아지고 전용률이 낮아 공용부분의 면적이 넓을수록 가격은 높아지며 이러한 요인들이 임대가를 상승시키고 그것은 지식산업센터의 가치에 영향을 준다는 것을 의미한다. 또한 지식산업센터의 입지는 주로 접근성이 양호한곳에 입지하는 특징이 있어 그 가치는 주로 물리적특성 등에 의해 결정되어지는 것을 알 수 있다.

      • 복발효 감식초의 품질

        고품질의 감식초를 농가에서 자가생산하기 위한 기초적 자료를 마련할 목적으로 자연발효시킨 경우와 복발효시킨 경우의 품질을 비교하였다. 그 결과 복발효시킨 식초는 자연발효 식초에 비하여 초산농도가 1/2인 3%정도였다. 그리고 HPLC 법으로 측정한 유리당의 총함량은 자연발효 식초는 6%, 복발효시킨 것은 5%였다. 감식초내에 함유된 유기산류로는 oxalic acid, malic acid, lactic acid, citric acid, succinic acid, glutaric acid 등 이었으며 자연발효시킨 경우가 전반적으로 함량이 높았다. 특히 자연 발효시킨 경우 lactic acid함량이 높았다. 그러나 감과실의 flavour와 과실의 고유색상과 맛은 복발효시킨 경우가 강하게 나타났다. To prepare the basic information for the fermentation of high quality persimmon vinegar in the farm, the quality of the complex fermented persimmon vinegar(CFPV) was compared to that of naturally fermented persimmon vinegar(NFPV). The titratable acidity of the CFPV was 3% which was the half concentration of the NFPV. The content of total free sugar by HPLC was 6% in CFPV and NFPV was 5%. Organic acid compositions in persimmon vinegar were oxalic acid, malic acid, lactic acid, citric acid, succinic acid and glutaric acid in addition to acetic acid. Total content of the organic acids in NFPV was higer than that in CFPV. Especially, the content of latic acid in NFPV was very higher than that of CFPV. The flavour, color and taste of persimmon fruit itself in CFPV were stronger than those in NFPV.

        수출입 컨테이너 장치장 배정을 위한 소프트웨어의 개발

        The Pusan Container Terminal faces a rapid increase in berthing time of container ships as well as in waiting time of external trucks, which is due to an absolute lack of yard space. This research is focused on the development of a decision support system for the planning of the container terminal yard assignment so that the yard space would be utilized most effectively. Efforts should be given to the reasonable assignment of the yard storage and the dynamic adaptation to the ever changing environment. The software introduced here is based o the know-how of the field exports and its framework takes the approach of the hierarchical decision making.

      • ZnO:In 가스 감지막의 특성 및 응용

        The microsensors to detect NH3 gas were fabricated by continous deposition of In film by evaporation and ZnO film by rf magnetron sputtering onto the Si3N4 diaphragm that was prepared by MEMS technology. The sensors were heat-treated to dope In into the ZnO thin film. The electrical characteristics of sensitive films were studied as a function of heat-temperature by 4-point probing method and electrometer. The dependence of the sensitivity, selectivity and time response of sensor on heat-treatment temperature was investigated. The microsensor heat-treated at 400℃ that 3000 A ZnO:In film was chosen as gas sensitive film, showed the highest sensitivity 23% at 350ppm NH3 under 366mW heater power. The time response was 90sec. The sensitivity for CO and NOx was not observed.

        농촌지도공무원의 역량수준 진단

        이 연구의 목적은 농촌지도공무원들의 역량을 진단하는데 있었다. 이를 위해 김진모(2006)가 제시한 농촌지도공무원의 역량모델을 바탕으로 개별 역량의 정의문을 질문문항으로 개발하였고,이를 전체 농촌지도공무원이 역량에 대한 숙련도 수준을 참고하여 각 문항별로 자신의 수준을 자기평가하도록 하였다. 이 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째,우리나라 농촌지도공무원의 역량수준은 개발목표 대비 그리 높은 수준은 아니었다. 따라서 현재의 역량수준을 획기적으로 제고할 수 있는 노력이 조직 및 개인 차원에서 시급히 이루어져야 한다. 오늘 날 농촌지도사업의 성패는 농촌지도공무원의 역량에 따라 좌우된다고 해도 과언이 아니기 때문이다. 둘째,연령과 근무기간이 많아질수록 역량지수는 상대적으로 낮았다. 이는 신규지도사의 선발 이후 전문성을 체계적으로 개발할 수 있는 조직적 차원의 지원이 필요함을 보여준다. 조직적 차원의 지원으로는 계층별로 맞춤화된 다양한 역량강화 방안 등을 고려할 수 있을 것이다. 셋째,역량진단을 통해 우선적으로 강화시켜야 할 역량들은 기초직무 역량군에 속하는 여러 역량들과 전문직무 역량군의 기술/주제 전문성 등이었다. 이러한 역량들을 효과적으로 개발하기 위해서는 정규교육만으로는 한계가 많기 때문에 다양한 형태의 육성방안을 모색해야 한다. 이상의 연구결과가 실제적으로 활용되기 위해서는,우선 농촌지도 공무원의 역량 중심 계충 교육과정을 개발하여 실시해야 한다. 또한,농촌지도공무원의 경력개발 체계를 수립하여 실시하고,이들의 부족한 역량을 강화시켜 줄 수 있는 다양한 방법들을 개발하여 실천하려는 노력이 수반되어야 한다. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the competency levels of rural extension workers in Korea. A survey questionnaire was developed using a Competency Model by Dr. Kim(2006), and a self-test was conducted for all of the extension workers in Korea. Based on the findings of this study, the major conclusions were as follows. First, the competency levels of rural extension workers in Korea were not so high for their development goal. The organizational and personal efforts were urgently made for dramatically raising the present competency level. Second, the higher the age and the working period were, the lower their competency index were. It shows that the organizational support is needed for systematically developing the expertise of rural extension workers after being employed as new rural extension workers. Third, the main competencies that should be first strengthened through competency assessment were several competencies in foundational competency cluster and a subject-matter expertise in technical competency cluster. Various forms of strategies for developing these competencies should be sought because the only formal training is not enough to effectively develop these competencies. To practically utilize the result of this study, the following measures should be taken. First, a competency-based curriculum by position level for rural extension workers was developed and implemented, In addition, career development systems for rural extension workers were set up and carried out, and the efforts to develop and apply the various approaches for their insufficient competencies should be made.

      • 게우젓 製造에 關한 硏究(II) : 熱成중 呈味成分 및 組織學的 變化 Changes in Teste Compunds and Histological Properties during Fermentation

        To evaluate the composition of Gae-Woo Jeot which is one of important traditional salted and fermented sea foods in Cheju Do, changes of nucleotides and their related compounds, free amino acids, TMAO(trimethylamine oxide), TMA(trimethylamine) contents and histological properties during fermentation was examined. AMP was as high as 3.6?mole/?? in raw small abalone but IMP content was only trace while hypoxanthine and IMP was dominant in raw topshell-4.5 mole/?? and 4.3??mole/?? respectively. Hypoxanthine was predominant in 65 days fermented Gae-Woo Jeot. Main amino acid in Gae-Woo Jeot were glycine, arginine, glutamic acid, alanine, valine and histidine in order. These were consisted 50~60% of the total free amino acid while phenylalanine, tyrosine, methionine and isoleucine were poor in content. During fermentation TMAO decreased slowly and eventually disappeard within 85 days while TMA was increased until 65 days and started to decrease down to 6~9mg%. Muscle texture showed the disappearance of elasticity soon after the adding of 10% salt while no change of texture was oberved until 50 days of fermentation in 20% salt group.
