The design and performance of a compact nitrogen laser which consists of a Spiral multiple parallel plate capacitor type Blumlein transmission line circuit are described. The laser tube is made by 50 ㎜ long with a 2.5 ㎜ main electrode gap spacing. The output power increased with the spark gap distance. The peak power of 3.0 μJ has been obtained with a spark gap distance of 3.5 ㎜ and a repetition rate of 30㎐. The optimum nitrogen gas pressure was about 60torr independent of the variation of spark gap distance. The laser operates with repetition rate of up to 70 ㎐.

방전간극내의 기체 압력변화에 따른 질소레이저의 동작특성

질소레이저의 반복률과 출력 특성에 미치는 요소는 여러 가지가 있는바 방전간극내 기체압력 역시 커다란 영향을 미치고 있다. 본 연구는 이를 위하여 펄스형 전원, 다중 평행판 측전기형 Blumlein 전송회로, 고속고압 방전간극 그리고 길이 66cm의 레이저관으로 구성된 레이저를 제작하였으며 방전간극내에 주입된 질소기체의 압력을 1bar, 1.4bar, 1.8bar, 2.2ba로 변형시켜 가며 동작특성을 측정하였다. MCA와 검출기를 사용하여 측정된 최적동작특성은 방전간극거리 1.12mm에서 방전간극내 질소기체압력이 2.2bar, 레이저관내의 질소기체 압력이 60torr이었고 반복률과 안정도는 각각 90Hz, 2% 이었다. We constructed a nitrogen laser system which was consisted of pulse type high voltage power source, multiple parallel capacitor type Blumlein transmission line circuit, rapid high voltage spark gap, 66cm long laser tube and synchronized trigger system and studied on the operational characteristics of this laser when the pressure of nitrogen gas filled in the spark gap was changed into four steps as 1bar, 1.4bar, 1.8bar, 2.2bar. Using the MCA and silicon detector, the optimum operational characteristics were obtained to be nitrogen gas pressure of 2.2bar in spark gap spacing of 1.12mm, nitrogen gas pressure of 60 Torr in laser tube, repetition rate of 90Hz and stability of 2%.

The design and construction of nitrogen laser preionized with a Blumlein transmission line circuit is described. For the power supply, we have used a pulse type high voltage power source that can be produce 10 joule energy in a pulse. The condition of maximum output power is observed at N_2 gas pressure of 100 torr, spark gap distance of 6.0 mm, repetition rate of 30Hz with preionization, and the stability increases by 0.7%. The maximum increment of output power is achieved at pressure of 200 torr when preionization is used. Finally we can increase the output power by approximately 60% by using this work, and the E/P value is 133 V㎝^(-1) torr^(-1).

A new table of Thomas-Fermi-Dirac functions for neutral atoms is calculated transforming the Thomas-Fermi-Dirac functions of Thomas into that of Umeda and using of the new boundary radii. Our calculations of atomic radii by the new table are seen in good agreement with the Hartree-Fock's and give the value of 0.7776 in Bohr unit for hydrogen, which is 1.826 times as large as the Umeda's result for hydrogen.
强制循環 溫水 보일러를 爲한 過熱蒸氣 發生 보일러에 關한 硏究

In order to make a forced circulation of the hot-water through the heating complex, we carried out experiments on the super heat boiler which is original In its design. In this experiment, we succeeded to make the hot water discharge from the forced circulator coupled to the super heat boiler at the rate of 250cc/min and the present work suggests that the super heat boiler can be developed to meet the practical application standards.

A preionized nitrogen laser with average output power of 3.0 mW in repetition rate of 30 Hz was constructed to be used as a pump for dye lasers such as rhodamine 6G, rhodamine B, coumarin 120 and coumarin 102. Under the optimum dye concentrations and wavelengths, dye laser average output power of rhodamine 6G, rhodamine B, coumarin 120 and coumarin 102 were obtained to be 1.6 mW, 1.1 mW, 1.1 mW respectively. According as nitrogen laser average output power was increased up to 76% by preionization effect, dye laser average output powers of rhodamine 6G, rhodamine B, coumarin 120 and coumarin 102 were increased up to 23%, 38%, 57% and 71% respectively. The nitrogen laser system used for this research can be utilized in dye lasers covering the entire visible spectra and if the nitrogen laser output power is improved, the output power of the coumarin 102 dye laser can be improved higher than that of the rhodamine 6G dye laser.

Baded on TFD atom model, we obtained a new formular by which we can evaluate the neutral atomic radius of TFD atom with maximum radial charge distributions, but it is differ from Kwai Umeda's formular in shape and derivation mathode.

We have constructed a nitrogen laser which is 42㎝ long has a rapid high-voltage spark gap and a multiple parallel capacitor-type Blumlein transmission line circuit, whose total capacitance is about 80 nF. The maximum output power of laser has obtained under the condition of nitrogen gas pressure of 80torr, spark gap spacing of 2.26mm and charging voltage of 10.5kV. Under these optimum conditions and maintaining constant stability of 0.02, this laser can be operated with a range of repetition rate, from 10 to 30.1 Hz. The value of E/P is 437 V.cm^-1. torr^-1 for maximum output power and 417 Vcm^-1. torr^-1 for optimum stability condition.
