        Algal bioassay 에 의한 조류생장 제한영양염류 결정

        Determination of Limiting Nutrient for Algal Growth by Algal Bioassay. Oh, Hee-Mock, Seog June Lee, Seong-Bin Kim, Mi- Kyung Park, Byung-Dae Yoon and Do-Han Kim (Environmental Microbiology Research Unit, Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology, Taejon 305-333, Korea and Water Resources Research Institute, Korea Water Resources Corporation, Taejon 305-390, Korea) Water quaiity and algal growth potential (AGP) using Microcystis aeruginosa were investigated from April to September 1997 in Daechung Reservoir. Secchi disk transparency was 1.1 m in August. Chlorophyll-a concentrations were higher than 10㎍/l at all samples. Total phosphorus concentration was in a range of 0.020∼0.027mg/l which is at the approximate value of 0.03 mg/l, the general critical level of eutrophication. These results indicate that Daechung Reservoir is in an eutrophic state except some temporary times and restricted sites. Phosphorus uptake rate of M. aeruginosa was higher in the water from the epilimnion than in the hypolimnion and also higher under light condition than under dark condition. Therefore, phosphorus uptake rate appears to depend on cellular phosphorous content and light condition, a meaning of endergonic process. Phosphorus was the most frequently limiting nutrient: phosphorus was limiting algal gowth in April and May, nitrogen, phosphorus and trace elements were the limiting factors for algae in August, and trace elements in September. If a fast growing alga, M, aeruginosa, is used as a test organism for assaying AGP, in vivo fluorescence instead of dry weight can be measured for algal biomass and incubation period can be reduced from traditional 14 days to 7 days.

      • 브랜딩 아로마 에센셜오일의 항스트레스효과에 대한 실험연구

        Objectives: This study was performed to evaluate the antistress effects of two aromatic blends being composed of synergic essential oils and also to differentiate its effectiveness between two. Methods: The subject were 20(10 for men, 10 for women) for vital factors and another 20(10 for mem, 10 for women) for serum catecholamine. Vital factors(blood pressure, pulse), electroencephalograpy, psychological tests(SACL, STAI) and serum catecholamine were applied to the subjects. Results: 1. All two aromatic synergic blends revealed no significant differnce of vital factors after inhalation but stable conditions generally by lowering pulse and blood pressure after inhalation. 2. Both blends were significantly valuable in antianxiety and antistress effects statistically. There were no statistically difference between two blends. 3. There were no significant difference in all brain waves after inhalation of two blends but generally stable brain waves were seen in all areas. 4. There were antistress effects of both blends in accordance of decreased serum catecholamines after inhalation of both blends. There were no significantly difference between two blends statistically. Conclusion: Both two aromatic synergic blends reached effective antistress and antianxiety states after inhalation of each blends. There were no siginificant difference between two blends. Further studies about the effectiveness between the amount of aromatic essential oils and the duration of inhalation should be considered. Also clinical applications of these two aromatic synergic blending oils to develop the aromatic products would be affordable in the future.

        장기간 훈련이 임피던스 심장기록법에 의한 운동중 심근산소소비량 및 좌심실 기능에 미치는 영향

        Impedance cardiography gas been used to measure stroke volume and left ventricular ejection time since 196's and the measuring technique have been improved to use during exercise. However, the old technique made impedance recording unreadable due to motion artifacts during exercise. Recently, ensemble averaging technique with elastic meshed brass band was applied to it for eliminating motion artifact during exercise. Then, it was used to compare the cardiac function between athletes and non-athletes during bicycle ergometer exercise. The results are summarized as follows. 1) Heart rate of the athletes was significantly lower during exercise and more rapidly recovered after exercise that that of the non-athletes. Systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure of the athletes was lower than those of the non-athletes. 2) Rate-pressure product(RPP) showing myocardial O_2 consumption of the athletes was significantly lower than that of the non-athletes. 3) Left ventricular ejection time(LVET) of the athletes was significantly longer than that of the non-athletes. 4) Cardiac index(CI) of the athletes was significantly higher than that of the non-athletes. While CI of the athletes was continuously increased up to 18 minutes during exercise, that of the non-athletes was increased up to 15 minutes and then decreased at 18 minutes. 5) At the same LVET and RRP, CI of the athletes was significantly higher than that of the non-athlethes. 6) Correlations between LVET and RPP, RPP and CI, LVET and CI during exercise, there was no significant difference between athletes and non-athletes. From these results above, it is concluded that the cardiac function of the athletes is superior to that of the non-athletes by comparing all the parameters. This newly improved impedance cardiography was able to measure LVET and cardiac index, noninvasively, and is expected to contribute to the study for evaluating the cardiac function of the athletes during exercise as well as that of the patients in cardiac problems.

      • 버퍼층 및 열처리 효과가 CoFe/Cu 다층박막의 자기저항에 미치는 영향

        DC magnetron sputtering방법에 의해 Corning glass기판 위에 ?? 형태로 다층박막을 제작하여 버퍼층 종류(Fe, Cu, Cr, Ta)와 두께, 비자성층인 Cu두께 변화에 관한 자기저항비의존성을 조사하였다. 또한 이들 시료에 대하여 열처리를 행한 후 열처리가 이 시료의 구조, 자기적 성질 및 자기저항에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. Fe버퍼층의 두께가 60Å일 때 극대 자기저항비가 14%인 자기저항이 관찰되었고 Fe버퍼층과 Cr버퍼층을 갖는 시료를 비교한 경우 자기저항비는 그다지 차이가 없으나 Fe버퍼층이 있는 경우에 더 큰 포화자기장 및 자기 이력현상을 나타내었다. 250℃까지의 시료에 대한 열처리는 다층박막의 주기성을 유지한채 더 큰 결정립을 갖게 하여 자기저항비는 증가하였으나 그 이상의 온도에서는 계면 혼합 및 계면 확산에 의한 감소를 나타내었다. Giant magnetoresistance (GMR) and magnetic properties of CoFe/Cu multilayers prepared by dcmagnetron sputtering has been studied. We investigated the effect of Fe buffer layer thickness, different buffer layers, and annealing condition on GMR. For the 60Å Fe buffer layer thickness, maximum MR ratio 14% was found. When we have used different buffer layers, multilayers with Cr and Fe buffer show similar GMR magnitude, but multilayers with an Fe buffer have much higher saturation fields and hysteresis. The study of the dependence of the MR behaviors on annealing temperature, the MR ratio was increased to 250℃, but reduced at the temperature higher than 300℃ because of the interfacial diffuse.

        가공쌀가루 대체량을 달리한 백설기의 저장기간과 온도에 따른 관능적 및 기계적특성

        Backsulgi, the most basic type of rice cake, were prepared with the addition of process rice flour at 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and their sensory quality and mechanical characteristics were compared. In addition, the changes in the sensory and textural characteristics of Backsulgi were determined while storing them at the temperatures of 4℃ and 20℃ for 0, 1, 2, and 3 days. As a result of sensory evaluation, Backsulgi with 30% process rice flour showed the highest score in overall quality, and the one with 10% process rice flour showed higher scores than controls. Backsulgi with process rice flour did not show significant differences in whiteness, graininess, sweet aroma, roasted nutty taste, sweet taste compared with the control even in the longer storage time at 4℃ and 20℃. In the measurement of color changes, L value (lightness) was not significantly different, but a value (redness) and b value (yellowness) were increased as the addition of process rice flour increased.

The International Union of Crystallography has chosen C2/c for a standard space group of the space group number 15. In this paper, it has been shown that the six space groups are mutually transformed.

        단백질 대체량을 달리한 백설기의 저장기간과 온도에 따른 관능적 및 기계적특성

        Backsulgi were prepared with the addition of nutriprotein powder at 0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, and their sensory quality and mechanical characteristics were compared. In addition, the changes in the sensory and textural characteristics of Backsulgi were determined while storing them at the temperatures of 4℃ and 20℃ for 0, 1, 2, and 3 days. In the sensory evaluation, Backsulgi with 4% nutriprotein powder showed the highest score in overall quality. In the measurement of color changes, L value (lightness) was decreased, but a value (redness) and b value (yellowness) increased as the addition of nutriprotein powder increased. In textural characteristics, the hardness, gumminess and cohesiveness of Backsulgi were decreased by the increase of nutriprotein powder. The hardness and gumminess were increased as the storage time increased.

        John Donne was an English poet in seventeenth century. He was one of major members in metaphysical poets. He wrote his poetry by new technics, images, and mataphors. He rejected the convention of Petrachan adoration. His poetry was the expression in unconventional, witty language of all the moods of a lover. Wit may be considered as a kind of discordia concors; a combination of dissimiliar images or discovery of occult resemblances in things apparently unlike. His major work, songs and sonnets, was expressed these poetical technics. Russian Formalism has an important part in 20th century literary criticism. Shklovsky, as a formalist, said that the technique of art is to make objects ‘unfamiliar’, to make forms difficult, to increase the difficult and length of perception. He thought that ‘Defamiliarisation’ was one of his most attractive concepts. This thesis is to study ‘Defamiliarisation’ and then the literary theory try to be adapted to John Donne’s poetry.

        오일러 알고리즘의 안내된 재 발명 : RME 기반 미분 방정식 수업에서 점진적 수학화 과정 분석 An Analysis of Progressive Mathematization in RME-Based Differential Equations Course

        Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) focuses on guided reinvention through which students explore experientially realistic context problems to develop informal problem solving strategies and solutions. This research applied this philosophy of RME to design a differential equation course at a university level. In particular, the course encouraged the students of the course to use numerical methods to slove differential equations. In this contest, the purpose of this research was to describe the developmental process in which the students constructed and reinvented Euler algorithm in the class. For the purpose, this paper will present the didactical principle of RME and describe the process of developmental research to investigate the inferential process of students in solving the first order differential equation numerically. Finally, the qualitative analysis of the students' reasoning and use of symbols reveals how the students reinvent Euler algorithm under the didactical principle of guided reinvention. In this research, it has been found that the students developed deep understanding of Euler algorithm in the class. Moreover, it has been shown that the experience of doing mathematics in the course had a positive impact on students' mathematical belief and attitude. These findings imply that the didactical principle of RME can be applied to design university mathematical courses and in general, provide a perspective on how to reform mathematics curriculum at a university level.
