        Malignant peritoneal mesothelioma is a rare neoplasm that arises from the mesothelium of a serosal cavity and is a rapidly fatal disease with a median survival of 4 to 12 months for untreated cases. Recently, we experienced a case with malignant peritoneal mesothelioma who was suspected hepatocelluar carcioma by abdominal CT scan and was confirmed by biopsy including immunohistochemical stain(calretinin) after surgery. We performed tumor excisions and wedge resection of the liver(segment Ⅷ)and inserted Tencoff catheter in abdominal cavity at 25th day of post-operation. We treated with intraperitoneal paclitaxel(25mg/m^(2)/day for 5 days) six courses monthly. She was well tolerable and is still living without any evidence of recurrence for 14th month of post-operation.

        Method for Protection of Single‑Line‑Ground Fault of Distribution System with DG Using Distance Relay and Directional Relay

        When large scales DG are connected to the distribution system of unidirectional power currents, bi-directional power currents are formed, making it impossible to use conventional overcurrent protection methods alone to detect and isolate fault sections for ground and short-circuit faults. To solve these problems, this study proposed the method of protection against single-line-ground fault of common neutral line multi-contact local power distribution system using distance relay and directional relay. The proposed protection method was applied to the common neutral multi-ground distribution system to validate the protection against single-line-ground fault through the PSCAD/EMTDC software package and efectively detect and isolate only the zone of single-line-ground fault without malfunctions.

        버섯 배지를 이용한 tyrosinase 저해제 발효

        Tyrosinase는 식품의 효소적 갈변과 생체내에서 melanin 합성을 촉매하는 효소이다. 식용 가능한 tyrosinase 저해제의 발효생산을 통하여 melanin 합성을 저해하는 효과를 가지는 미백식품 소재를 개발하고자 현재 식품의 제조에 이용되고 있는 안전한 미생물을 대상으로 tyrosinase 저해능이 높은 균주를 선발하고 표고버섯을 주 배지원으로 발효시켜 저해제 생산의 적정조건에 대하여 연구하였다. 발효식품으로부터 분리된 NU-7을 tyrosinase 저해제 생산을 위한 발효균으로 선정하여 tyrosinase 저해제 생산 최적배지 조건을 확인한 결과 glucose가 3~20% 및 ammonium sulfate가 0~0.25%인 범위에서 균체량 증가에 따른 tyrosinase 저해제 생산능의 차이는 나타나지 않았으며, 무기질소원으로 첨가한 ammonium sulfate의 영향은 비교적 낮았다. 한편, 표고버섯(Lentinus edodes, Shiitake) 함량은 저해제 생산과 밀접한 관계를 나타내어 버섯함량(X)에 대한 저해제 생산량(Y)이 Y=-0.96X^2+13.07X+14.43의 상관식을 보였고, R value는 0.96으로 나타나 최적발효 조건을 위한 최소한의 배지는 표고버섯과 glucose 만으로도 가능한 것으로 판단되었다. 표고버섯을 이용한 발효액에서 곰팡이 독소로 알려진 아플라톡신은 검출되지 않았으며 따라서 이를 식용할 수 있는 가능성이 높은 것으로 판단되었다. Tyrosinase is an enzyme which catalyzes an enzymatic browning of some foods and in vivo synthesis of melanin. In order to produce natural and edible inhibitor of the enzyme which is expected to have whitening effect on melanogenesis, a microorganism was selected from fermented foods. It was named as NU-7, and cultured in mushroom (Lentinus edodes, Shiitake) media. Optimal media to produce tyrosinase inhibitor was formulated by varing nitrogen or carbon content. If glucose content was in a range of 3~20% and ammonium sulfate was in a range of 0~0.25%, production of inhibitor was independent of cell mass. Addition of ammonium sulfate as a nitrogen source had little effect on inhibitor production. Production of inhibitor (Y) was proportionally related to shiitake content (X) with a regression equation of Y=-0.96X^2+13.07X+14.43 (R=0.96). These results indicate that shiitake and glucose are necessary for the production of tyrosinase inhibitor. In the analysis of mycotoxin in culture broth, aflatoxin was not detected, suggesting that it would be probably edible.

        Good health and longevity is the goal of huamn beings. Recently, 'Dietary treatment' has become influential as one of the means for it in western medicine. Whereas in oriental medicine, 'Dietary treatment' was not recognized as therapeutic method but care of health. in this paper, the viewpoints of 'Dietary treatment' in oriental and western medicine was compared and searched for new possibilities in oriental medicine. And the resutls were as follows. 1. In oriental and western medicine, food was obviously recognized as a source of nourishment, and moreover oriental medicine took even a human soul into consideration. 2. Western medicine made much of nourishment and was analytical and therapeutic-centered, on the other hand, oriental medicine took a serious view of prevention and care of health. 3. Oriental medicine considered that intake of food was a adoption of Gi(氣) and then it helped a circulation of Gi and beneficial for the production of Jeong(精). 4. Theprinciples of diet in oriental medicine was reasonable combination of food, balance of Oh-Mi(五味), temperance of food and intake by physical constiution.

        We report a case of lupus erythematosus profundus in a 16-year old male. He had multiple pea-nut to bean sized subcutaneous nodules with dark brownish colored overlying skin was present on the upper arm, trunk & other systemic disease. Histologically, deep dermis & subcutaneous layer had dense patch lymphocytic infiltration and homogenized hyaline fat necrosis. Direct immunofluorescene studies showed IgM and C?? deposit on the vessel wall. We treated him with chloroquine and corticosteroid.

        Abstract - Palladium catalyzed cross-coupling reactions of aryl halides with organo tin reagents and π-sufficient aromatic heterocycles proceeded easily and efficiently during carbon-carbon bond formation. We used this method for the anti bacterial agents, and synthesis of new quinolone derivatives which have C-C bond at C-7 position of general quinolone moieties. Quinolone moieties, and aryl tin or aromatic heterocycles in the presence of palladium catalyst were coupled to afford new quinolone derivatives. The synthesis and structure-activity relationship are presented.

      • 퍼지제어를 이용한 카메라가 장착된 이동로봇의 경로제어

        This paper describes the path planning method in an unknown environment for an autonomous mobile robot equipped with CCD(Charge-Coupled Device) camera. The mobile robot moves along the guideline. The CCD camera is used for the detection of the existence of a guideline. The wavelet transform is used to find the edge of guideline. It is possible for us to do image processing more easily and rapidly by using wavelet transform. We make a fuzzy control rule using image data as an input then determined the position and the navigation of the mobile robot. The center value of guideline is the input of fuzzy logic controller and the steering angle of the mobile robot is the fuzzy controller output. Some actual experiments show that the mobile robot effectively moves to target position by means of the applied fuzzy control.

        In this paper, theoritical calculations using M. Hata Model have been carried out in the wave pass in Chonbuk area, the measurements have been confirmed in the each path, and compared with theoritical results. The analyzed results show that Okku station has the more stable charateristics than Chunju and Kunsan, the values of pass loss are low in the wide road width, in the lots of cross points, in the linear roads, and those of the loss are high in the crowded area which has many buildings and hills.

      • 요석 환자에서 대사 이상의 평가

        연구목적: 요석은 대사적 질환의 일종이라 할 수 있으며 이는 소변의 유체 역학의 장애나 혹은 배설되는 대사 산물의 생화학적 불균형으로 초래하게 된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 24시간 요검사를 통하여 요석 환자들에서 요중 대사적 이상에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 대상 및 방법: 연속적으로 내원한 재발성 요석 환자 151명(남자 114명, 여자 37명)을 대상으로 하였으며, 요석이 완전 치유된 후 최소 3개월이 지나고 24시간 소변을 채취하여 요량, 나트륨, 인, 요산, 칼슘, 마그네슘, 수산 및 구연산에 대하여 분석하였으며 대사 이상의 종류 및 빈도를 조사하였다. 결과: 요석 환자들에서 가장 호발하는 대사적 이상은 저구연산뇨증(47.1%)이었으며 다음으로 고나트륨뇨증(43.2%), 저소변량(30.5%), 고칼슘뇨증(23.5%), 고요산뇨증(22.1%), 고수산뇨증(10.7%), 그리고 저마그네슘뇨증(9.4%) 순이었다. 151명의 환자 중 적어도 한가지 이상의 대사 이상이 136명에서 관찰되었다. 결론: 요석 환자들에서 요중 대사 이상은 90.1%에서 관찰되었으며 저구연산뇨증과 고나트륨뇨증이 요석의 생성과 재발에 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 조사되었다. 이러한 요중대사적 평가는 요석 환자의 진단 및 예방에 유용하게 이용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. Purpose: Urolithiasis is a metabolic disease which arises from disturbances of the physico-chemical balance or the hydrodynamic system of the urine. This study was to determine the metabolic abnormalities through the 24-hour urine examination in patients with urolithiasis. Materials and Methods: The 24-hour urine specimens of 151 RSF (114 men, 37 women) were analyzed for volume, sodium, phosphorus, uric acid, calcium, magnesium, oxalate, and citrate. The incidence and frequency of metabolic abnomalities in RSF were determined. Results : The most frequent metabolic abnormality in RSF was hypocitraturia (47.1% ), followed by hypernatriuria (43.2%), low urine volume (30.5% ), hypercalciuria (23.5%), hperuricosuria (22.1%), hyperoxaluria (10.7%), and hypomagnesiuria (9.4%). At least one metabolic abnormality was found in 136 out of 151 RSF. Conclusion : Our results showed that RSF had metabolic abnormalities were found up to 90.1% of them. Hypocitraturla and hypernatriuria could play an important role in the development and recurrence of urolithiasis. This data suggested that metabolic evaluation might be the useful tools for urolithiasis detection and prevention.
