        Studies of Aleolar-Mixed Venous CO<sub>2</sub> and O<sub>2</sub> Gradients in the Rebreathing Dog Lung

        폐포(肺胞) gas와 폐동맥(肺動脈)(혼합정맥혈액(混合靜脈血液))만의 비교실험군(比較實驗郡)에 있어서도 역시(亦是) 탄산(炭酸) gas 장력(張力) 때로는 산소(酸素)까지도 폐포기체(肺胞氣體)의 장력(張力)이 더욱 높았다 (positive ${\Delta}Pco_2$, 및 $Po_2$). ${\Delta}Pco_2$는 산(酸) 또는 bicarbonate 주입(注入)으로 야기 되는 혈장(血漿) pH변화(變化) 및 시간(時間)에 따른 변이성(變異性)이 없이 항상 양성(陽性)을 보였으나, 혈중탄산(血中炭酸) gas장력(張力)의 크기에 비례(比例)하였다. 또 ${\Delta}Pco_2$ 는 혈류량(血流量)의 대소(大少) 및 분포(分布)에 별(別)로 영향 받지 아니하고 혈액내(血液內)에서 탄산(炭酸) gas평형(平衡)의 미달(未達)로부터 오는 것도 아니었으나 탄산탈수효소(炭酸脫水酵素) (carbonic anhydrase) 작용(作用)을 억제(抑制)할 때 증가(增加)되었다. ${\Delta}Po_2$는 더욱 변이성(變異性)이 컸으며 특(特)히 낮은 혈류속도(血流速度)에 있어서는 때때로 negative 현상(現像)을 나타내기도 하였다. ${\Delta}Po_2$도 또한 시간(時間) 및 혈장(血漿) pH 변화(變化)와 무관(無關)하게 독립적(獨立的)인 것이었으나, 탄산(炭酸) gas 장력(張力)의 변화(變化)로 일어나는 결과(結果)와는 반비례(反比例)의 관계(關係)가 있었다. ${\Delta}Po_2$도 gas교환(交換)이 일어날 수 있는 상당한 크기의 압차(壓差)를 주어도 존재(存在)하였고, 탄산(炭酸) gas 반응(反應)의 억제(抑制)에 의(依)하여도 영향받지 아니 하였다. Another comparison of alveolar gas pressures, in a continuously rebreathing dog lung, with pulmonary arterial (mixed venous) blood, again showed alveolar pressures to be the higher for $CO_2$ and usually $O_2$ (positive ${\Delta}Pco_2$, and ${\Delta}Po_2$). ${\Delta}Pco_2$ was almost invariably positive, it was independant of time and of plasma pH changes produced by acid or bicarbonate infusion, but proportional to blood $CO_2$ level. It was seemingly little affected by the distribution or magnitude of blood flow nor did it result from failure of $CO_2$ equilibrium within the blood, but it did rise with carbonic anhydrase inhibition. ${\Delta}Po_2$ was more variable and sometimes negative, particularly at low blood flow rates. It seemed in dependant of time, and plasma pH changes, apart from an inverse relationship with that resulting from $CO_2$ changes. It existed despite considerable potential for gas exchange, and was unaffected by inhibition of the $CO_2$ reactions.

        원격 체육수업 콘텐츠 개발 방향 연구

        The purpose of this study is to provide a direction for developing content to be utilized in online physical education( PE) class situations. Four faculty members and four school sports content production experts produced examples of content development after identifying the forms and difficulties of PE curriculum analysis, online PE class content analysis, and online PE classes. The principles and methods for restructuring the areas of PE curriculum and achievement criteria were adjusted from five to four, and achievement criteria were restructured in the categories of ‘maintenance’, ‘integration’, ‘modification’ and ‘movement’. Examples of physical activities were selected to develop content for online PE classes, and details of content development examples were defined, including topics for each unit, major learning activities, teaching and learning strategies, and evaluation methods. The direction of future development of contents for online PE classes is as follows. First, the PE curriculum should be restructured following the proportion of online PE classes. Second, while utilizing ‘modified physical activity’ to be carried out in online PE classes, it should be aligned to existing physical activities. Third, it should be developed as ‘real-time interactive’ content rather than one-way video content. It is required to establish an online evaluation system in the future and adopt diversified ways to reflect performance evaluations. 본 연구의 목적은 원격 체육수업 상황에서 활용할 콘텐츠 개발 방향을 제시하는 데 있다. 4명의 교수진과 4명의 학교체육 콘텐츠 제작 전문가가 체육과 교육과정 분석, 원격 체육수업 콘텐츠 분석, 원격 체육수업의 형태 및 어려움 등을 파악하고 콘텐츠 개발 예시를 제작하였다. 체육과 교육과정의 영역과 성취기준의 재구성 원칙과 방법을 구안하여, 영역은 5개에서 4개로 조정하고, 성취기준은 ‘유지’, ‘통합’, ‘수정’, ‘이동’ 의 방식으로 재구성하였다. 원격 체육수업 콘텐츠 개발을 위해 신체활동 예시를 선정하고, 단원별 주제, 주요 학습 활동, 교수·학습 전략, 평가 방법이 포함된 콘텐츠 개발 예시를 상세화하였다. 향후 원격 체육수업 콘텐츠 개발 방향은 첫째, 체육과 교육과정은 원격 체육수업 비중에 따라 재구성해야 한다. 둘째, 원격 체육수업에서 수행할 ‘변형 신체활동’을 활용하되, 기존 신체활동과 연계성이 있어야 한다. 셋째, 일방향의 동영상 콘텐츠 활용형보다는 ‘실시간 쌍방향형’ 콘텐츠로 개발해야 한다. 향후 온라인 평가 시스템을 구축하고, 수행평가를 반영할 수 있는 방법을 현재보다 다양화해야 한다.

      • 돼지赤血球 沈降에 對하여

        The female pigs of 50kg body weights were phlebotomized and the heparinized blood was centrifuged for separation to blood plasma and corpuscles. The hematocrit, per centage of the blood that is red cells, was reschuffled of 20%, 40%, and 60% using blood plasma or 0.9% NaCl solusion. The sedimentation rates of red blood cell obtained at 27℃±1℃ are summarized as follows. 1. The sedimentation rates of hematocrit 20% of RBC at first one hour were 34±1.5mm in blood plasma and 2.4±0.7mm in NaCl solution. 2. The RBC sedimentation rates of hematocrit 40% at first one hour were 2.4±0.4mm in the plasma and 1±4mm in NaCl solution. 3. The rates of hematocrit 60% were 1mm in the both solutions at first two hours and no difference for the 6 hours. 4. The sedimentation rates of RBC were more diminished by higher PCV%, i.e. there was a reverse relationship between the sedimentation rates and PCV%. 5. The RBC were sedimented more slowly in the NaCl solution than the plasma and the difference was smaller by higher PCV% and no difference at more than PCV 60%. 6. The sedimentation rates against time were almost liner for several hours.

      • 摘出家兎肺의 理學的 性質에 關한 硏究

        The physical natures, especially volume-pressure curves of the excised rabbit lung have been studied in number of experiments to see the mode of changes produced by the temperature and the velocity of air injected into the lung. Also an analytical observation was made on the specificity of the curves, and the results obtained are summarized as follows. (1) Pressure elevation following the injected of certain amount of air into the lung is proportionate to the speed of the air injection. The intratracheal pressure after the ceasation of the air injection decreased exponentially with time and the pressure difference between initial and equilibrium pressure was proportionate to the speed injection and the total amount of air injected. (2) The equilibrium pressure was observed unchanged with the speed throughout the entire experiments, bearing no particular relation with speed of the air injection. (3) The volume-pressure curve at the time of the air injection showed a parabola, its compliance being in proportion to the volume. (4) The volume-pressure curve in hypothermia state did not differ much from that of room temperature. However, its compliance was generally sell than nomal. (5) When the lung was kept under the condition of cooling and expansion for prolonged period of time, say over 12 hours, the volume-pressure curve of the equilibrium pressure showed nearly straight line, indicating increase of compliance and decrease of hysteresis. (6) The volume-pressure curve when the lung volume was diminished following the expansion, showed a parabola, its compliance being decreased at the beginning and increased at the end of the shrinking, A similar pattern was obtanined under different experimental conditions. (7) The volume-pressure curve, when the air was alternately injected into and ejected from the exciced lung showed a closed loop curve. Such a phenomenon of hysteresis could be explainde by the hypothetical basis that the lung is composed of the groups of alveoli having the different critical opening pressure.

        This study was undertaken to know the effect of hypothermic condition (23℃) on the oxygen consumption of chick embryo and the metabolic rate using the White Leghorn eggs. The results obtained are summarized as follows. 1. The oxygen consumption of the embryo under hypothermic condition was decreased ranges to 16-54% than the normal embryo's. 2. It was suggested that the chicken embryo is more like a poikilotherm during its fatal life. 3. The metabolic rate (ml/hr/gm) of chicken embryo under hypothermic condition was decreased than that of the normal incubation temperature.

        관상동맥 누공에 의한 급성 심근 경색 1예

        관상동맥 동정맥루 기형은 매우 드문 질환으로 치료가 불필요한 경우가 대부분이나 coronary steal 현상으로 인해 증상이 발생하거나 합병증이 발생한 환자에 대해선 치료를 요한다. 최근에는 시술에 적합한 누공을 가진 선택된 환자군을 대상으로 카테터를 이용한 중재적 시술이 시행되어 수술적 치료와 유사한 결과를 얻고 있다. 저자들은 젊은 남자에서 관상동맥 동정맥루 기형과 동반된 급성 심근 경색증을 진단하여 비 수술적 방법인 카테타 코일 색전술로 성공적 치료 후 증상 및 심근 재관류에 호전을 보인 증례를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. We report a case of coronary fistula between the left anterior descending and main pulmonary artery complicating acute non-Q wave myocardial infarction. A 27-year-old man visited emergency department because of severe chest pain lasting two hours. The electrocardiogram showed ST segment elevation in precordial leads V3~6. Cardiac enzymes were as follows;CK-MB:36.44 IU/L T-T:0.489 ng/mL, CPK:542 IU/L, and LDH:475 IU/L. The thallium-201 dipyridamole stress perfusion scan showed perfusion defect and reversed redistribution in the anteroseptal wall. The coronary angiogram revealed coronary artery fistula between the proximal left anterior descending artery and main pulmonary artery without significant stenoses of coronary arteries. The result of ergonovine test was negative. After micro-coil embolization to the coronary fistula, symptoms were improved. Follow-up thallium-201 scan showed normalized blood flow in the left anteroseptal wall.

        The agriculture in Korea has seen rapid growth in its elderly population compared with other industries. Occupational injury rates of agricultural worker are very high in Korea. Until now there isn't preventive measure for agricultural worker because mostly preventive activity of occupational injury focused to the worker of manufacturing industry. Recently, Korea government starts to conduct several interventions for the improvement of agricultural work. So we need the ergonomics support system to match the characteristics and the ability of agricultural worker for the improvement of agricultural work. So this study proposes the development of an ergonomics support system foe the improvement of agricultural work.

        메셀로스폐액의 주입율에 따른 2단탈질공정의 질소 제거

        The purpose of this study was to develop a solution to reduce the cost of methanol as external carbon source. The raw water of J-S.T.P. contains low concentration of readily biodegradable organics and high concentration of nitrogen due to the influents of industrial wastewater and leachate. Consequently, the influent C/N ratio is very low, and thus the supplemental addition of methanol is required to provide external carbon source for denitrification. Pilot plant experiments composed 2-stage denitrification process were performed to examine the effects and performances of the selected carbon source and the operation conditions for applications in practice. When the same amount of denitrifying substrates based on denitrification rate of methanol were injected, the effluent T-N concentration of using mecellulose wastewater was similar to that of methanol. Comparing the influent concentration of carbon source and the denitrification rate, it was shown that the denitrifying potential of mecellulose wastewater was 60% and injecting 1/3 of carbon source into the preanoxic tank was appropriate to ensure the stabilized effluent water quality. The COD,, requirement of mecellulose wastewater per nitrogen removed was 1.4 times of the required amount for methanol, and the settlability of sludge treated with mecellulose wastewater improved about 29%, which confirmed its potential as effective external carbon source.

      • 동종 조혈모세포이식 후 발생한 치명적 홍역 폐렴 1예

        As a result of the enlarging pool of unvaccinated children and young adults, there has been an increase in measles in our countries. In these situation, it has been reported that measles associated pneumoinia is easily complicated with fatal respiratory failure, espycially in immunocompromised patients. Herein we report the case of lethal measles pneumonia after allogenic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in adults proven by autopsy. Recently, one case of measles was encountered in 39-year-old female patients after allogenic bone marrow transplanted case (chronic myelogenous leukemia), who progressed into interstitial pneumonia pattern, despite treatment including antibiotics, immunoglobulin. The patient died of giant cell pneumonia compatible with that of measles which was comfirmed in the section of necropsy lung specimen. (Korean J Infect Dis 33:301∼309, 2001)

      • Lipids-Induced Exosomal lincRNA-ROR Released from Hepatocellular Carcinoma Cell Promotes Tumor Cell Growth through the PI3K/Akt Pathway

        Aims: The lipid-related metabolic dependence is a hallmark of cancer. Exosomes in tumor microenvironment are enriched in lipids and their accumulation in cells might modulate recipient cell homeostasis. We investigated whether lipids and lipids-induced exosomes released from HCC cells can induce a tumor-promoting phenotype and the underlying mechanisms. Methods: Human HCC cell lines (Huh-7, SNU-761, and SNU-3058) were incubated with oleic acid (OA) or control vehicle. The released exosomes were isolated, quantified, and applied to HCC cells. Results: Incubation of HCC cells with OA enhanced proliferation, migration and invasion of cells. Furthermore, OA upregulated long noncoding RNA regulator of reprogramming (lincRNA-ROR) mRNA expression in Huh-7 and SNU-3058 cells, whereas its expression in SNU-761 cells did not change. Exosomes collected form OA-treated cells were enriched with lincRNA-ROR mRNA, and upregulated proliferation and invasion of HCC cells through the activation of PI3K/Akt pathway. Conclusions: These findings suggest that lipids-induced exosomal lincRNA-ROR released from hepatocellular carcinoma cell promotes tumor cell growth through the PI3K/Akt pathway.
