상업적 단백질 분해 효소에 0.02% CaCl_2를 첨가하여 응유 활성화를 시킨 탈지유에 대한 분해 작용의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 다양한 효소별 가수분해 시간에 따른 가수분해도는 미생물 유래 효소와 trypsin은 pepsin과 papain W-40보다 높은 분해도를 나타냈다. 12% TCA 용액에 가용성인 NPN의 양은 trypsin이 가장 높은 분해도를 나타내었고 rennet과 pepsin이 가장 낮은 분해도를 보였다. 전기영동에 있어서 trypsin과 protease S는 α-lactalbumin을 분해하였고 papain w-40은 β-lactoglobulin을 미약하게 분해하였으며 neutrase 1.5는 90분 이후부터 α-lactalbumin과 β-lactoglobulin을 분해하였다. Rennet과 비교한 전기영동상에서는 rennet에 의해 분해 되지 않은 α_s-casein과 β-casein을 trypsin과 protease S가 다량 분해하였고 k-casein은 rennet에 비해 papain W-40이 상당 수준의 분해상을 나타내었다. 이상의 결과 가수분해도 및 NPN 양은 trypsin, neutrase 1.5 및 protease S가 다른 효소에 비해 높게 나타났으며, 전기영동상에서는 pepsin과 neutrase 1.5가 rennet과 유사한 경향을 나타내었다. Proteolytic activities of some commercial milk clotting enzymes(rennet, trypsin, pepsin, papain W-40, neutrase 1.5 and protease S) in bovine skim milk containing 0.02% CaCl_2 were determined by measuring DH(Degree of Hydrolysis), NPN(Non Protein Nitrogen) and by comparing patterns of SDS-PAGE(Sodium Dodecyl Sulphate Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis). The DH of microbial enzymes(neutrase 1.5 and protease S) and trypsin in bovine skim milk were higher than those of pepsin and papain W-40. The amounts of NPN in the milk treated with trypsin and the other animal enzymes(rennet and pepsin) showed the highest and lowest degrees of proteolysis, respectively. SDS-PAGE showed that trypsin and protease S hydrolyzed α-lactalbumin and papain W-40 hydrolyzed β-lactoglobulin slightly, while neutrase 1.5 hydrolyzed both α-lactalbumin and β-lactoglobulin after treating for 90 min. Trypsin and protease S easily hydrolyzed α_s-casein and β-casein, which were not hydrolyzed by rennet. Papain W-40 hydrolyzed k-casein more than rennet as shown in SDS-PAGE. Based on the results of the experiments, the DH and NPN of trypsin, neutrase 1.5 and protease S were shown to be higher than those of the other enzymes. The SDS-PAGE patterns of papain W-40 and neutrase 1.5 were similar with that of rennet.

1990년대에 메탈핼라이드램프의 석영발광관을 내열성 및 내halide성이 우수한 투광성의 세라믹 발광관으로 하여 광원의 특성을 개선시킨 세라믹 메탈핼라이드램프가 개발되어 현재 옥외조명용으로 급속하게 보급이 이루어지고 있다. 국내의 경우에도 이미 150W급의 single 및 double ended 두 가지 타입의 150W급 세라믹 메탈핼라이드램프가 개발에 성공하여 조만간 내수시장에 국산제품의 보급이 이루어질 것으로 보인다. 본 논문은 국내에서 개발한 150W급 세라믹 메탈핼라이드램프 시제품의 초특성을 국외 선진제품과 성능 비교한 것으로 시스템 효율의 경우 선진제품 대비 약 93% 이상의 수준임을 알 수 있었다.
InAs/GaSb 응력초격자를 이용한 적외선검출소자의 제작 및 특성 연구

150 주기의 InAs/GaSb (8/8-ML) 제2형 응력초격자 (SLS)를 활성층에 탑재한 초격자 적외선검출소자 (SLIP) 구조를 MBE 방법으로 성장하고, 직경 $200{\mu}m$의 개구면을 가지는 SLIP 개별소자를 시험 제작하였다 고분해능 투과전자현미경 (TEM) 이미지의 휘도분포와 X선회절 (XRD) 곡선의 위성피크의 분석 결과는 SLS 활성층은 균일한 층두께와 주기적 응력변형을 유지하는 급격한 계면의 초격자임을 입증하였다. 흑체복사 적외선 광원을 이용하여 측정한 입사파장 및 인가전압에 따른 반응도 (R)와 검출률 ($D^*$)로부터, 차단파장은 ${\sim}5{\mu}m$이고 최대 R과 $D^*$ ($\lambda=3.25{\mu}m$)는 각각 ${\sim}10^3mA/W$ (-0.6 V/13 K)와 ${\sim}10^9cm.Hz^{1/2}/W$ (0 V/13 K)임을 보였다. 반응도의 온도의존성으로부터 분석한 활성화에너지 275 meV는 광반응 과정에 개입되어 있는 가전대 및 전도대 부준위 사이의 에너지 간격 (HH1-C)과 잘 일치하였다. The superlattice infrared photodetector (SLIP) with an active layer of 8/8-ML InAs/GaSb type-II strained-layer superlattice (SLS) of 150 periods was grown by MBE technique, and the proto-type discrete device was defined with an aperture of $200-{\mu}m$ diameter. The contrast profile of the transmission electron microscope (TEM) image and the satellite peak in the x-ray diffraction (XRD) rocking curve show that the SLS active layer keeps abrupt interfaces with a uniform thickness and a periodic strain. The wavelength and the bias-voltage dependences of responsivity (R) and detectivity ($D^*$) measured by a blackbody radiation source give that the cutoff wavelength is ${\sim}5{\mu}m$, and the maximum Rand $D^*$ ($\lambda=3.25{\mu}m$) are ${\sim}10^3mA/W$ (-0.6 V/13 K) and ${\sim}10^9cm.Hz^{1/2}/W$ (0 V/13 K), respectively. The activation energy of 275 meV analyzed from the temperature dependent responsivity is in good agreement with the energy difference between two SLS subblevels of conduction and valence bands (HH1-C) involving in the photoresponse process.

전자기력에 의한 연주 Slab 내의 교반유동에 관한 수치적 연구

A Numerical study was performed for the two-dimensional turbulent stirring flow created by linear motor in a continuous casting system. A k-εturbulent model was applied to solve time-averaged turbulent momentum equations within the computation domain. Four different situations in a stirring system being consisted of two-dimensional slab of 1 m(width) × 0.2 m(height) have been investigated, that is : Model (A) : W =0.1 m and B_0=0.01 tesla, Model (B) : W =0.3 m and B_0=0.01 tesla, Model (C) : W =0.1 m and B_0=0.02 tesla, Model (D) : W =0.3 m and B_0=0.02 tesla, where W is the length of linear motor and B_0 is the magnetic flux applied on the motor-side-surface of the slab. The results shows that the flow characteristics depends mainly on the magnetude of B_0 not on W. The order of the magnitudes of turbulent intensity at four flow situations were almost same. However, the magnitude of turbulent viscosity became much less in case of greater B_0 than in smaller B_0. Therefore it is recommended that the stirrer with greater B_0 should be used to make finer stirring action.
Studies on the Physico-chemical Properties of Mixed Radioactive Waste Glass

In order to vitrify the W1 waste (ion-exchange resin(IER), zeolite, and dry active waste(DAW)) generated from Korean Nuclear Power Plants, a glass formulation development based on waste compositions and production rates was performed. A aluminoborosilicate glass, AG8W1, was formulated to vitrify the W1 waste in an induction cold crucible melter(CCM). The processability, product performance, and economics of the candidate glass were calculated using a computer code and were measured experimentally in the laboratory and CCM. The glass viscosity and electrical conductivity as the process parameters were in the desired ranges. Start-up and maintaining glass melt of the candidate glass were favorable in the CCM. The product quality of the glass such as chemical durability, phase stability, etc. was satisfactory. The vitrification process using the candidate glass was also evaluated to be operated as economically as possible.
