      • Genetic Diversity of Korean Rice Breeding Parents as Measured by DNA Fingerprinting with Simple Sequence Repeat (SSR) Markers

        Molecular markers are useful tools for evaluating genetic diversity and determining cultivar identity. Present study was conducted to evaluate the genetic diversity within a diverse collection of rice accessions used for Korean breeding programs. Two hundred eighty-seven rice cultivars, composed of temperate japonica, tropical japonica, indica, and Tongil-type of Korean crossing parents were evaluated by means of 15 simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers. A total of 99 alleles were detected, and the number of alleles per marker ranged from 4 to 11, with an average of 6.6 per locus. Polymorphism information content (PIC) for each of the SSR markers ranged from 0.2924 to 0.8102 with an average of 0.5785. These results, with the result that use of only 15 SSR markers made all rice cultivars examined could be uniquely distinguished, imply the efficiency of SSR markers for analysis of genetic diversity in rice. Cluster analysis was performed on similar coefficient matrics calculated from SSR markers to generate a dendogram in which two major groups corresponding to japonica (Group I) and indica and Tongil type rice (group II) with additional subclasses within both major groups. The narrowness of the Korean breeding germplasm was revealed by the fact that most of the Korean-bred and Japan-bred temperate japonica cultivars were concentrated into only 2 of the sub-group I-1 (143 cultivars) and I-2 (58 cultivars) among six sub-groups in major group of japonica. This is because of the japonica accessions used in this study was a very closely related ones because of frequent sharing of the crossing parents with similar genetic background with synergy effect of the inherited genetic difference between indica and japonica. A rice breeding strategy with the use of molecular markers was discussed for overcoming of genetic vulnerability owing to this genetic narrowness.

        1992년 첫 삽을 뜨면서 시작한 경부고속철도건설사업이 2004년 4월, 1단계 개통을 한데 이어 지난 2010년 11월 완전 개통하였다. 경부고속철도 개통으로 경부축 지역의 2시간대 서비스 제공을 통한 국토의 균형발전 촉진 및 여가·관광사업 활성화, 기술발전, 환경비용 및 에너지 절감 등 긍정적인 효과를 이룬 반면, 잦은 기본계획 변경으로 인한 사업비 및 사업기간의 증가, 현실과 맞지 않은 설치기준으로 인한 과잉설계 문제 등 부정적 효과도 초래했다. 본 연구를 통해 사업추진 단계별 주요 이슈에 대해 객관적인 시각으로 문제점을 분석하고 시사점을 도출함으로써, 현재 추진하고 있는 호남고속철도와 수도권고속철도 사업에서는 시행착오를 줄이고 사업을 효율적으로 추진하는데 활용하고자 한다. Launched in 1992, the Gyeung-Bu High Speed Railway (HSR) was fully opened in November 2010 following the partial opening of the first phase in April 2004. Since the opening it has made tremendous achievements, including but not limited to, technical innovation, balanced regional development, growth of leisure and tourism industries, and savings of environmental costs and energy. On the other hand, it has brought negative effects such as increase in project time and cost by frequent changes of the basic plan and over-design based on unrealistic criteria. In this study we will analyze major issues that occurred at each stage of the Gyeong-Bu HSR project and draw implications. Thus, this study will enhance to efficiently implement the Ho-Nam and Seoul Metropolitan HSR project through minimizing possible trials and errors.

In the cultural sphere, through the influence of the priests, the imported Buddhism, rather than finding its way to the people as a private belief, became a thing of the aristocracy, a nationalistic influence, and limited to prayer at that time, Confucianism, due to its controlling political theory, became the bearing post of flunkeyism. 4. On the social side, when the yuan dynasty assumed Control of the Koryo, tributes of maidens and eunuchs were demanded. To saue these maidens from this humiliating fate, early marriages became the custom. For the above reasoms, this exchange of culture and goods bosed on the tributory relationship between Han and china brought many bad effects, rather than improvements, to our society.

      • 장관에서의 액체 이동에 미치는 히스타민의 작용에 관한 연구

        In vitro perfusion experiment was done to observe the effects of histamine on the transport of fluid from capillary into the intestinal lumen of rabbits weighing 2-2.8㎏. After performing the control perfusion with an artificial perfusate, histamine was added to the perfusing solution at a concentration of 1 ㎍/50ml perfusate and perfusion experiment was repeated. Mean capillary pressure (Pc), precapillary resistance(Ra), postcapillary resistance(Rv) and total tissue resistance (Rt) were calculated from the measured data of isogravimetric capillary pressure (Pci), arterial pressure (Pa), venous pressure (Pv), venous flow rate (Qv), luminal flow rate (Q_L) and weight of the intestinal loop. Decreased Pci from 19.5㎜ Hg of the control group to 15.2㎜ Hg of the histamine group had resulted from increased capillary permeability. And increased Pc was observed in the histamine group compared to the control due to the decrease in pre-to-postcapillary resistance ratio in the histamine perfused loop. Decreased Rt in the histamine group was also responsible in facilitating the fluid movement from capillary to intestinal lumen in addition to the effect of increased Pc. When Pc and Q_L were plotted linear relationships were observed and the slope of the histamine group was steeper than that of the control indicating increased volume movement "coefficient" in the histamine group.

        The fly ash has been widely used in the latest to complement the physical performance and economical efficiency of the concrete which uses only a normal porland cement. The paper ash gained through the incineration of paper sludge is possible to be used as the material of concrete because it contains the properties similar to the previous fly ash in ingredients and physical characteristics. Therefore, this research has tested the physical characteristics by replacing 20 % of fly ash used with the paper ash to solve the problem which lowers the early strength caused when the fly ash was used. As a result, it showed that the fluidity becomes lower and the compression strength becomes increased by using paper ash. In addition, after mixing the paper ash with the fly ash, it showed that the time and heating amount of the 2nd peak of the minor heat of hydration affecting the revelation of strength was equivalent to the combination for normal portland cement, and also indicated that the compression strength for 3 days is superior to the combination of the fly ash. Therefore, if the paper ash having a regular fineness is used, it was effective in improving the early strength of concrete used the fly ash.

        Since the ancient time, the Chinese society has been concernd with foreign races more than the other countries do. Among those reasons, one of them is the economical reason. That is, in China, there are not only abendance of natural resources but also a suitable place to live on in a mild climate. Therefore foreign races wanted immigrate in China and on the other hand, sometimes they have invated into China by a struggle to live on there. Among unceasing the struggle and exchanges, the population had been much increased by the immigration of other races from the Tang Age to mordern age. Now China is one of the largest countries and largest population in the world. Here the writer has intented to study some reasons for the immigration of other reaces in China in this paper and the followings are found; 1. As the predominant civilization, the civilization of China had much advanced to compare with other countries in those day. 2. As an abendant natural resources, other races had desired to immigrate in China to live on easily in econimic. 3. As a large territory, they could live on freely as their own will at any places in China. 4. As unseparate states, the nation and people are not distrupted on history, even if they had struggled with invaders. 5. As the scope of the immigrant, the noticed person, politicians, soldiers, artists, technical experts, religionists and merchents are found.

      • HEMT소자의 전송특성 해석을 위한 채널내의 산란율에 관한 양자역학적 연구

        In this paper the rates of two-and three-dimensional scattering are calculated in pseudomorphic ??/??/GaAs HEMT heterostructure systems. The electronic states and wave functions in the square quantum well are determined numerically by the self-consistent solution of Poisson's and Schrodinger's equations. The wave functions and energy levels obtained are used to calculate the major two-dimensional scattering rates in this structure. Polar optical- phonon and acoustic- phonon, piezoelectric, ionized impurity and alloy scattering rates are considered for the first two subbands. This results are compared to the three-dimensional scattering rates also calculated using by the triangular approximation of quantum well in the same structure.

        蒼耳子에 대한 면역글로블린E 생성억제 효과

        We studies inhibitation effect of IgE release in the human B cell line(U266B1) and in the serum and spleen cell of mouse that has been immunized by antigen in order to find antiallergic effect of Fructus Xanthii (FX). We have some findings as below. 1. IgE release in serum was inhibited dose dependently in case of administering FX orally in the mouse immunized. 2. IgE release in serum was inhibited dose dependently in case of injecting FX into abdomen in the mouse immunized. 3. When we take LPS+IL-4 way in the mouse spleen cell, IgE release was less than LPS way. 4. When we take LPS+IL-4 way in the human B cell line (U266B1), IgE release was less than LPS way.

      • Effect of Temperature Associated with Early Growth Stimulus on Shortening of Heading Dates in Rice

        The heading date is known to be controlled by two kinds of genetic constituent, photosensitivity and basic vegetable phase. For the latter, the effect of temperature in early growth period is critical to determine the shortness of vegetative growth periods in plant s life. A phytotron experiment on 55 rice cultivars, consisting of two ecotypes of rices, indica and japonica, was conducted at high and low temperature treatments at early growth stage to investigate the possible role of plant growth stimulus by high temperature to associate with shortening of heading date. The high temperature during the early growth stage stimulated the rice growth as measured by plant height with much difference of the growth response between indica and japonica. The conclusive finding that these growth stimulus in early growth stage was highly correlated with the acceleration of heading is, more or less, correlated with the heading of the late growth stage although we could not conclude the genes for early plant growth stimulus by high temperature is the same genes as the genes for accelerating of heading in the late growth stage of plants.
