Simplified SVPWM that Integrates Overmodulation and Neutral Point Potential Control
Rong-Wu Zhu,Xiao-Jie Wu 전력전자학회 2014 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.14 No.5
A simplified and effective space vector pulse-width modulation (SVPWM) algorithm with two and three levels for three-phase voltage-source converters is proposed in this study. The proposed SVPWM algorithm only uses several linear calculations on three-phase modulated voltages without any complicated trigonometric calculations adopted by conventional SVPWM. This simplified SVPWM also avoids choosing the vector sector required by conventional SVPWM. A two-level overmodulation scheme is integrated into the proposed two-level SVPMW to generate the output voltage that increases from a linear region to a six-step state with a smoothly linear transition characteristic and a simple overmodulation process without a lookup table and complicated nonlinear functions. The three-level SVPWM with a proportional-integral controller effectively balances the neutral point potential of the neutral point clamped converter. Results from the simulation in MATLAB/Simulink and the experiment based on a digital signal processor are provided to clearly demonstrate the validity and effectiveness of the proposed strategies.

Background: Two randomized phase III trials (EORTC55971 and CHORUS) showed similarprogression-free and overall survival in primary or interval debulking surgery in ovariancancer, however both studies had limitations with lower rate of complete resection and lack ofsurgical qualifications for participating centers. There is no consensus on whether neoadjuvantchemotherapy followed by interval debulking surgery (NACT-IDS) could be a preferred approachin the management of advanced epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) in the clinical practice. Methods: The Asian SUNNY study is an open-label, multicenter, randomized controlled, phase III trial to compare the effect of primary debulking surgery (PDS) to NACT-IDS instages IIIC and IV EOC, fallopian tube cancer (FTC) or primary peritoneal carcinoma (PPC). The hypothesis is that PDS enhances the survivorship when compared with NACT-IDS inadvanced ovarian cancer. The primary objective is to clarify the role of PDS and NACT-IDS inthe treatment of advanced ovarian cancer. Surgical quality assures include at least 50% of nogross residual (NGR) in PDS group in all centers and participating centers should be nationalcancer centers or designed ovarian cancer section or those with the experience participatingsurgical trials of ovarian cancer. Any participating center should be monitored evaluatingthe proportions of NGR by a training set. The aim of the surgery in both arms is maximalcytoreduction. Tumor burden of the disease is evaluated by diagnostic laparoscopy orpositron emission tomography/computed tomography scan. Patients assigned to PDS groupwill undergo upfront maximal cytoreductive surgery within 3 weeks after biopsy, followed by6 cycles of standard adjuvant chemotherapy. Patients assigned to NACT group will undergo 3cycles of NACT-IDS, and subsequently 3 cycles of adjuvant chemotherapy. The maximal timeinterval between IDS and the initiation of adjuvant chemotherapy is 8 weeks. Major inclusioncriteria are pathologic confirmed stage IIIC and IV EOC, FTC or PPC; ECOG performancestatus of 0 to 2; ASA score of 1 to 2. Major exclusion criteria are non-epithelial tumors as wellas borderline tumors; low-grade carcinoma; mucinous ovarian cancer. The sample size is 456subjects. Primary endpoint is overall survival. The ground loss caused by earth pressure balance (EPB) shield tunneling is a serious threat to the safety of ground and underground buildings. The amount of soil discharged is a direct factor causing the ground loss, but the feedback of the amount of soil discharged has the problems of human subjectivity and information lag. Based on the theory of soil discharged and shield construction data, a data model for predicting the amount of soil discharged is constructed, and a predictive method of soil discharged based on adaptive adjustment strategy and parameters to achieve optimal regression is proposed. Taking Changzhou shield tunnel construction project as an example, through comparative analysis, the main influencing factors of soil discharge data model are screw-conveyor torque, screw-conveyor revolutions, total thrust, screw-conveyor entrance earth pressure, the revised standard penetration test blow-count, and compression modulus. The results show that the mean absolute error (MAE) of the model is 0.911 m3, and the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) is 2.78%, which verifies the effectiveness of the prediction of soil discharged by feature engineering.
Oridonin Suppresses Proliferation of Human Ovarian Cancer Cells via Blockage of mTOR Signaling
Xia, Rong,Chen, Sun-Xiao,Qin, Qin,Chen, Yan,Zhang, Wei-Wei,Zhu, Rong-Rong,Deng, An-Mei Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2016 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.17 No.2
Oridonin, an ent-kaurane diterpenoid compound isolated from the traditional Chinese herb Rabdosia rubescens, has shown various pharmacological and physiological effects such as anti-tumor, anti-bacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. However, the effect of oridonin on human ovarian cancer cell lines has not been determined. In this study, we demonstrated that oridonin inhibited ovarian cancer cell proliferation, migration and invasion in a dose-dependent manner. Furthermore, we showed oridonin inhibited tumor growth of ovarian cancer cells (SKOV3) in vivo. We then assessed mechanisms and found that oridonin specifically abrogated the phosphorylation/activation of mTOR signaling. In summary, our results indicate that oridonin is a potential inhibitor of ovarian cancer by blocking the mTOR signaling pathway.

The first example of lead compound from Pb(NO_3)_2 and H3L N-heterocyclic ligand (H_3L = (HO_2C)_2(C_3N_2)(C_3H_7)CH_2(C_6H_4)(C_6H_3)CO_2H), [Pb_4(L')_4]·5H_2O 1 (L' = OOC(C_3H_7)(C_3N_2)CH_2(C_6H_4)(C_6H_3)COO), has been obtained under hydrothermal condition by decarboxylation, and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, TGDTA,and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compound 1 possesses a rare two-dimensional upper-lower offset terrace-like layer structure. In 1, crystallographic distinct Pb(II) ion adopts five-coordination geometry, and two lattice water molecules occupy the voids between 2-D layers. Results of solid state fluorescence measurement indicate that the emission band 458 nm may be assigned to π*-n and π*-π electronic transitions within the aromatic systems of the ligand L', however, the emission bands centred at 555 nm, 600 nm and 719 nm may be derived from phosphorescent emission (λexcitation = 390 nm).
Effect of Filter Parameters on a Supercontinuum-Based All-Optical Tunable Thresholder
Huatao Zhu,Rong Wang,Tao Pu,Tao Fang,Peng Xiang,Huihui Zhu 한국광학회 2016 Current Optics and Photonics Vol.20 No.4
In this paper, the effects of filter parameters on a supercontinuum-based all-optical thresholder areexperimentally investigated. By tuning the filter parameters, the power transfer function and powertransmission function are tailored. The experimental results show that a thresholder with short centerwavelength has a better power function, and the slope in the middle level of the thresholder increaseswith increasing bandwidth. Through tuning the filter parameters, the thresholder can achieve a steplikepower transfer function for optical thresholding, and a steplike power transmission function for opticalself-switching. This makes the supercontinuum-based thresholder more flexible, and allows customizationof performance to meet different demands in various applications.
